Caching in the area we pick up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
Enjoyed exploring the area, cache and contents were in good condition. Looks like the spider has gone AWL.
Many thanks for placing this cache and adding to our geocaching experience today.

Mr TiedyeSmileys enjoys the squeals and contortions Mrs TiedyeSmileys makes when she walks through webs so of course he sent her in to gab this one.

An unexpected drive into Mackay again today as Subi was playing up and Rainforest Cookie managed to fit us into her company workshop. Swapped Subi keys for Toyota keys, and decided we had better do some caches around town - and there are plenty of them. So I just followed a route of whatever was closest to where we were...
Solved a while ago, and finally today, in the right neck of the woods. After reading the clue, I was pretty nervios as to where I walked or where I placed my hands. Found it in the last place I looked which was amost the first place I looked.
Thanks Dandent for another solvable puzzle and findable hide.

TFTC I solved this puzzle some time ago and finally got around to making the find. I stamped the log and replaced it as found. There were a few mozzies and green ants around the GZ.
Found in leaf litter near the road. Replaced in a slightly camo location, although easily visible to those who seek. It seems to have lost its 8-legged namesake.
This one got the better of me today. Thanks for the hunt & getting me out of the house dandent
A fun puzzle to solve. Sadly no joy for us today with the find at GZ.
Thanks dandent

Just had time for another cache before the shops opened. Had solved ages ago and a quick find today, though it came with the additional guards of out old nemesis - green ants. But of the themed camo was detached but pushed back into place. Signed and replaced as found, thanks for another cache dandent, moving on the shops now.
The GPSr had us all over the place for quite a while. In and out of the scrub and round and round. Finally it settled and there you go, there it was. Another puzzle off the list.
Our last caching day of in Mackay this trip, so we decided to have another look at a number of hides that had defeated us earlier in the week, as well as clean up a few more that we just hadn’t got to. Temingi has left us, but our week in Mackay has seen both of us tick off milestones. Temingi reached 14,000 finds, and we have broken through 13,000 finds. Not too bad an effort. Our only problem that as fast as we were catching Temingi, he was continuing to move away from us!
Thanks go out to the local CO’s for putting out all these caches for us to find. A mighty effort, and one we really appreciate. Without your contribution we would have no game to play.

Found as I meander my way from Adelaide to Cairns.
With no real travel plan and three weeks to get there before I meet up with friends, there has been plenty of opportunity for sightseeing and finding a few selected caches along the way.
The puzzle was one of many solved prior to leaving home in preparation for my trip. Although my itinerary when I travel is generally very fluid, I do like to have a menu of pre-solved puzzles that I can target along the way.
An initial search failed to turn up the cache. Then I noticed it half buried in the leaf litter a short distance away. I returned the cache to a safer spot where I think it may have been dislodged from.
Thanks dandent for the puzzle and the cache.

After solving the puzzle a while back, managed to get out for a search. Certainly lots of creepy crawly things at gz. Found cache guardian at gz and cache was on the ground. Placed cache container back with guardian. Thanks for this adventure. SL

Inevitably on a long trip when many geocaches are being found, some get missed. Unfortunately, at the time, this was one of them. So, although out of chronological order, I am logging them today for simplicity. So my apologies for any generic log and the out of date sequence.
Our trip commenced on Friday November 28th and concluded on Tuesday December 22nd. During that time, we visited caches in Maryborough, Childers, Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Sarina, Mackay, Bowen, Townsville and Cairns, with other places in between like Proserpine, Home Hill, Ayr, Ingham to name just a few, with many wonderful single stop caches along the way.
Our party consisted of myself, hatzofff, grannysmith1947, and on occasion, youngoldfella.
Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC, dandent.

I am on a solo road trip from Brisbane to Townsville to deliver a newly car purchased car for my hard working niece - her first car!
After a big drive as far as Mackay yesterday, my plan is to take the whole day to drive to Townsville and collect some interesting cache, especially puzzles, virtual caches and earth caches along the way.
Found in good order after a few circles around GZ. I thought this was one of the easier puzzles of the series - they are not all easy!
Many thanks dandent

Driving down to Emerald from Townsville for a weekend of GeoArt and wanting to pick up some high difficulty puzzles en route.
I’d collected a few in this series a couple of years ago but this one was missing.
Quick find tonight in the dark. Good to turn the DNF into a smiley. No swag though. Greencordial must have taken it .
Thanks dandent for placing this for us to enjoy.

3/7/20 16:25 Another smiley. Thanks for placing this cache dandent Worked it out while camping under the stars last night at Blue Mountain.
Greyfire solved this one but I spotted it. Wanted to give this lovely one a smiley. Spotted at site interesting “toy”. Be mindful of bringing children to the site.
Found with greencordial, got through the puzzle nice and quick for a change and set out to find the cache. After running around for a while Greencordial spotted the cache. Plenty of spiders and webs. TFTC!
Second DNF for today. Very disappointed. Today has been my first two solo attempts at mystery caches and like the last one, I worked out the co-ords but had no joy at GZ. I will try again another day.
TFTC. Had fun with this one. Was hoping to drop off a spider TB but alas not enough room.
Thanks for the cache. My phone signed telling me it was a day to find a cache so out I went.
In the process of overthinking things I nearly walked face first into a giant spider web so I can definitely confirm that there are spiders here!!

I always like an easy find after solving the puzzle - but this was not to be. Not a fan of a micro in shrubbery, but I did see plenty of evidence of spiders. They didn't bother me as much as the ants did
I had 2 cracks at this one, first along my route and then while waiting for my pick up I had another attempt both failed to locate either the cache or a logical hiding spot for a micro in the bush.
out doing some maintenance
so checked this one
mmm ... I couldn't find it either
will make a replacement and get something out in a couple of weeks

In Mackay for the AFL on this weekend and trying to pick up some caches to boost the numbers.
Solved a few of Dandent's puzzles the evening before coming down. Sadly I couldn't turn this one into a smiley.
Thanks anyway.

After spending many hours solving puzzles today we set out to find them. Picked up a few others along the way.
Hubby stopped the car next to GZ , it took just a few moments before finding it.

Found in the last place we looked . Quite an easy puzzle but I did nearly walk into a couple of huge spiders when I was searching for the cache and it was the Mrs who managed to find it (although she couldn't touch it). A favourite from us. TFTC!
We liked this puzzle. Great cache too.
All a good bit of fun.
A Fav Point from us - another great effort Dandent. Thanks

after little walk lot of looking only to find this one on the on the ground well signed replaced it back where we thought it should be
TFTC- silly gps was off and sending us way up in the bushes! You don't need to get covered in spider webs for this one like we did :O
Gotcha !!! Met up with " barrod " for a days caching . And a good time was had by all (plus we found a few caches. ) We took it in turns ..sort of... to do the first search at each GZ. Rod spied der cache first here. Another Fav. Point for the CO's efforts. TFTC
This one didn't take too long we had guessed what we were looking for and yes it was as expected, signed and replaced. Another one found with Temingi today. A fav for this one. TFTC
Enjoying a great weekend of caching in Mackay with Jackylegs44
A puzzle fast solved back home and at GZ the little hide soon was found.

Teamed up with karicka and family for a roadtrip from Townsville to Mackay over the weekend in order to get some of those caches that all have recently been published and to put a few more smiley faces on our map before our big move back home to WA. Were also looking forward to attend the International Caching Day Event down in Mackay which was organised by dandent and meeting some local cachers down there.
Luckily for us karicka found this one

Had just visited your box a bugs then went looked for your arachnophobia cache. Solved your puzzle and found GZ somewhat difficulty, we retrieved the cache, gotta say, it's quite creepy..... Every few seconds you'd hear a hollow knock from where the cache was hidden.... As if something was trying to get out.... Ran back to car with cache in hand, signed log, bolted back to the GZ and replaced the cache! Won't be going back there anytime soon! TFTC! Had.... fun? Weirded out.....
Cool cache! A little creepy...but great fun. Feel like we earned our smiley face with this one!

Yuck! Not sure about it being a phobia.... But i bloody hate them!! And wow... There are spiders near by. Walking into that tree would be like something out of a nightmare.
