Archived as I am no longer caching and the reason for that is as a result of rude catchers leaving strident notes without a please or a thank you.
This was not a pleasant experience .
After searching round the dusty wooden wall and trees for some time ...I decided to read some old logs....
I realised the co ords are well out and it is near a totally different fence .
Plus the container is totally eaten at the bottom so you dont need to unscrew the jar .
So needs urgent maintenance plus correct co ords .

Ha love the title and very happy to get a letter U for the August challenge. Very glad I came in the weekend as no one here. Great hide but some of the bottom of cache is broken off. The log book is nice and dry. Thanks for this cache N!mrod.
This took a while until we realised that the fence in question is not the huge wooden fence but a wire fence covered in vines. The log is still in good condition despite the rat-eaten container.
I groaned as I arrived and recognised it as a place I had been before and gave up. Today though it was a nice quick find. Some creature thinks that the outer and inner containers are a tasty snack but thankfully there was no sign of them. I guess the last finder must have forgotten their pen ; ) TFTC # 13,664
We start our NZ holiday in Christchurch. Between a sight seeing tour we took some caches. This is one of them. Tftc!
Greetings from Austria Die_Asseln
Greetings from Austria Die_Asseln
28 February 2019 4:05 PM. Needed 7 more caches in Feburary to qualify for a N.I. challenge I am working on. Have come to the other side of town to have more unfound traditionals available to make it easier on myself. Very busy street during the work day. Thankfully the cache is in a hidden area. 4/7 done TFTC N!mrod
Found with help of hint and after expanding search area. A good hide, but as others have mentioned the cache container needs replacing. The log is surprisingly in very good condition. TFTC!
The container has been attacked - possibly by a rat - needs maintenance please
Tftc!! 3rd time here.. and we finally got it.. very dusty.. and broken cache container.. needs some maintenance.. pleased to have found this one
Very, very dusty and dirty in here! Started looking in wrong area but soon had it in hand. As per previous logs - container damaged and needs replacing. TFTC.
Between work and an evening event, what better way to spend the time than finding a few! GPS was suggesting I jump over the fence, but after reading the logs it was a relatively quick find. TFTC!!
Sorry for the late logging. I had a great day driving around by myself finding caches to get the souvineers and work towards my MGSc, but not so much logging each of them. The plan was to find as many of the remaining Fresh Breath caches that I hadn't got the previous Saturday as well as any extras that I went past.
Well having done my best at clearing out the Ahhh! series of caches (still some left) it was time to head into Christchurch for the event and hopefully grab a U cache at the same time to finish spelling July. Yes I admit to being nuts to hunt for this cache at night time. I went up and down the fence line several times and other than getting my hair caught in branches gained nothing. Good to see that it has been found since my visit so I might just give it another go next time I am nearby and have time (and muggle husband since he is so good at spotting the ones I can't find)
Thanks for the hide, I'll be back.

Had a couple of attempts at this today as we needed the U for the june spelling challenge. First attempt was thwarted by a couple of gossiping male muggles. Three hour later, second attempt, no muggles in sight, managed to find a badly broken container with the log somehow managing to hang on inside it (bottom of container completely gone). Tftc.
Today was a good day to find this cache. Container isn't in good condition. So much rubbish in the area.
16:35
Found on a rainy afternoon.
Looks like there is a "toilet" just meters from cache location - watch out!
Anyway, found the cache after a little search. The container is totally done though - looks like someone really went nuts on it - almost a huge chunk of the bottom has been chewed off and now the contents are being held in by this kind of a flap. Toy Story ziplock bag has suffered a little as well. Miraculously, the logbook is still dry. Till the next time a squirrel mistakes the cache for an actual nut!
Maintenance needed.

Chanced this one on a workday morning but luckily no muggles were around. Coords did not agree with our GPS GZ so we widened the search and found the cache. Tftc
Thankfully there was hardly anyone around today because I was feeling like a peculiar person. Nuts is more like it. The things we cachers do to find a cache! Got to be wearing geocaching clothes sometimes, like today. TFTC.
Found it! I don't know how I got so dirty and wet!! I was almost giving up when I found it! TFTC!
Found it! Out and about on the way home from Sunmer. Ideal location for a public holiday as none of the near by employments are here. TFTC
Thanks to previous loggers for excellent hints! Daily one out of the way. Phew! Tftc CO.
We headed out early afternoon for the Heathcote / Ferrymead area to look for some caches - our mission was to turn today into a least a tensy day, and we easily achieved that target.
This was the first stop, and after investigating where the GPSr was pointing without success, StreetWalker spotted the cache a little further afield. On the board for today, thanks N!mrod!

#12916. The coords seemed to be in a container yard, but other logs mentioned they were a bit out. There were two hint objects to choose from, and once we widened the search area it proved to be the overgrown one that harboured the cache. Sunday afternoon was a good time to do this one. TFTC.
Cache number 100! Uni holidays so decided to make an early start and go caching. Nice easy find. TFTC
Yep, must be mad to cache in weather like this. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. BJ25.
Found this one today on our way to the library, quiet here today, lovely area. TFTC
I was cruising around - thinking of heading to Lyttelton and drove down a side street to look at my iPhone - LOL, there waa cache just around the corner.
The co-ords were a bit out - put me over the wall & I couldn't work out how that wasn't private property; I used Rincewind3's numbers & that was considerably closer.
Thanks, N!mrod.

Final day of our holiday and collecting the last of the caches on our way to the airport with tmann421.
Found after a short search. TFTC

I had time to find one cache on my way to work meetings not to far from here. This was it. Parking was OK. Managed to find the cache without destroying my work clothes which was a bonus. TFTC, Biggles.
We had to finish caching to make it on time to an appointment, but decided to give another a go. Did not take too long and was not very busy on a Sunday afternoon. TFTC
Had doubts but third time around found it. Was obvious once I thought about it.
Tried looking in the dark with no success so came back with reinforcements today. Scared a bird off its nest but eventually found the cache. Even on a Sunday afternoon had to dodge the cars! Tftc.
TFTC. Out to hunt down a couple of N!mrod caches. This was the second. I spent a while trying to extract some lovely objects before accepting that they just were not the cache.
Resorted to more traditional methods and quickly had the cache in hand.
Thanks N!mrod for placing the cache.

Today is a dash day so I aimed to find a few geocaches. Luckily there was no work and the rain wasn't as bad as it was predicted.
I have searched for this geocache before. This time I was successful.
I have searched for this geocache before. This time I was successful.
I looked far to long for a lunch time hunt.follow hint/GPS with no luck. I did look up and down the large tall wooded fence line Well down to those who found this in the dark.
Took a while in the dark. It also didn't help that I forgot my good torch, so was using the pathetic one from the car. Finally got there in the end. Quite a busy area. GZ was quiet but lots of noises from the nearby container business. TFTC
Was in the area trying to find a WP for a multi but failed. This cache was a short detour on my way back into town. Managed to find it after a short search. Street was nice and quiet! Thanks for the cache. Left trackable.
Came out to find this cache tonight for several reasons including it was a U for August, it was close to a WP we needed to grab and a cache for the day. Took us a lot longer in the dark than it should have. The GPS unit was a little out 8-10m by my reckoning so GZ was quite large. Spent 20 minutes and again several "Time to give up" moments before spotting the cache that was not as small as I thought it should have been judging by the time it took to spot!!! All good in the end.
At 6.5km (by crow) this is pretty close to home...and currently is/was the closest unfound Trad.......starting with a 'U' I have left it unfound (twitch, twitch) just as backup for if I needed a U for June/July/August (it was pretty much all U's that I needed for these months!)....but with useful new caches published along the way I managed to wing June/July so I was able to finally find this cache to finish off August......and now that is all my month challenges done. Sweet.
Quick find and sign at night with the area to myself. Cheers.

We headed over this way before the CITO at New Brighton this morning to finish off our last letter for AUGUST. The cache was bigger than we thought and it was a nice easy find which meant we arrived at the event earlier than expected. This place could do with a clean up aswell! Thanks for the cache
Took a careful look for 5 min to spot this.
Not too much of a muggle issue today.
Thanks

Cache for the day time.
Picked something out this way, as I needed to return to town after getting the cache to drop the car off!!
This one looked like a quick one, but far enough away. Ended up being quite tricky!! So many places to look, and phone just could not settle!! Kept pointing me over the fence the wrong way by like 10m!!
Once I was at the correct fence though, it was all sorted!
And yes, I am nuts, as proved by...
Consec caching day #990
TFTC!!

With no time limit today I managed to find it, and quicker than expected too. Plenty of noise from the other side of the wall, and down the end of the street - I felt a bit on edge being that close to the container forklifts and straddles, after hearing about the one that fell over today at Port Otago, seriously injuring its driver. Worrying for nothing though. TFTC (2216)
Got the wee devil after a bit of a hunt. Pick up on a clue or two and there it was. TFTH
Had just about given up when we decided to have one last look. We must be nuts it was right there. TFTC
It was a nice fine windless Canterbury afternoon - just perfect for a Sunday drive along the Summit Road to Gebbies Pass then on to Lyttelton for a coffee. Seeing a Sunday visit was recommended for this cache I made it a stop after exiting theLyttelton Tunnel. Absolutely no one around at GZ at 3.50pm so the cache was quickly dealt with. Cheers N!mrod.
A chilly evening out with Karma Reprint, finding the little boxes. A bit of discussion at the event about this one, I see why the comments about the wall now. Spent a few minutes before success, would have been a bit more dusty had it not been for the rain today. Cheers
Took a wee while to focus on the correct GZ. Methodical hunting rewarded us with a smiley.
Found on a fine evening caching with Kiwi Moose around the base of the hills of Christchurch.
Thanks for the effort you put into your hides.

We thought we were going Nutz,as we had to hunt about for quite a while, before we spied the wee Rascal.Very pleased that all the Firms were on Holiday,so had the place to ourselves.Shame about all the rubbish everywhere..TFTH
It was getting on dark and this seemed easy enough to find and head back home for Justanurse to be on call. However it took longer then we liked but we found in the end. I was thinking of calling it quits and coming back. Tftc
That was trickier than initially thought. I knew where to look from reading logs but just couldn't see what was staring me in the face. TheRoamingReliever found it in the end tftc
Used a torch and glad we did. (At 4:00pm) A methodical search worked best for us. Much rumbling from next door and was glad of that wall. Thank you F.
I dont know why I ever tackle these sort of caches without a mask on. Dust everywhere, It too me a wee while to locate this one. And left sneezing ll the way home lol. TFTC. Cheers Bo
[Second to find , beaten to it by TheWanglers. No time in the book, but I didn't see him driving away as I walked around there so I'd imagine I was beaten quite emphatically.
I walked there as it is so close to home, just under a 2km round trip: about 1.76km as the crow flies (or GPS points). As I approached it became clear that the coords would have me climb the big wooden fence into a busy yard, and me with no ladder! Hmm. I'll widen the search... 29m that way was no good, I'll try the other way. Nope, nothing. Back to plan A... still nothing, I'll try plan B again. Got round there, stuck my head right in... nothing. Just as I was starting to formulate a message to the CO to ask if I was in the right general area I looked left - there it is! Open the container, hear rattling, is it a TB? No, just a pencil and sharpener and a logbook with TW's name in it. Ah, well, you can't win them all! Cache found, replaced and walked back home by 8.35am.]
For the record: I found the cache twenty three metres from the coords. My coords at the cache were south forty three degrees, thirty three point eight nine three, east one seven two degrees, forty point nine eight five. Not sure how that would compare to TW's reading if he took one.

Had a go at this in the wee hours this morning on my way to work but my readings wrre putting it over the fence. Had another look on the way home in daylight and hit paydirt. Coords were still way out for me though.
I left a wee something for the next visitor.
I left a wee something for the next visitor.
I had an epic evenings adventure last night and woke up a bit groggy and had a look at the emails and spotted a huge amount of caches had been published. I sat down a triaged the lot. I figured I could tackle two without impinging on my work day. This was one of them and the other was a mystery I quickly solved. I kissed the missus and kids and headed off. I arrived at GZ and coords were a bit wonky. I had a look up and down the fence line when something that was hidden matched the clue. I had a looksee and found the cache. Boom!!!! Love it and empty log for a {FTF} at 6.30am. Now off to the merchant for some gear and try my luck elsewhere.
Thanks for the cache.
