DNF searched everywhere I thought would or could be. Might be gone. I see previous comments the same.
This one is a DNF for me today. It looks like some work has been done here lately
DNF for us. After looking with four eyes and only so many places a magnet could be. That made three DNF's in a row. ️
something was going on next door with many people we werent able to make the find
Very disappointed to not find this one and feeling a bit silly if it is there. Looked at all the possible places and came away empty handed.
A nice quick walk by. Very few people about @1700 hours on a Monday! Cheers.
A day to get from Whanganui up to National Park. Time to find a few little boxes....
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

After having a bonus freedom camping night at the back of the club, I had to get this one in the morning
Having an early Sunday morning stroll, it was a bit sad looking at all the closed buildings.

Op weg naar het restaurant voor ons diner komen we ook nog langs deze.

I was staying in Ohakune for a few days and took a quick drive out to Raetihi, finding a few caches in between nasty showers that kept sweeping through. This was a quick easy find after waiting for a shower to clear. TFTC!
Heading home from Mega in Turangi, a quick stop in a small town I haven't been to since I was a child and our car broke down on the way home to Auckland, not much has changed... A quick find was made here. TFTC
I loved the front windows on the theatre. There seems to be no end of lovely old buildings in Raetihi. TFTC #9334
Found as part of the 2016Mega in Turangi. Geocaching team INTGEO - Indiana Jill, Renelm and Rosmar.

Nice find with Just-Lookin on the way to the MEGA in Turangi.
Good area to visit and no problem locating the container.
Log was not more than damp and not full but we replaced it.

Nice theater. The cache was quickly located. As it was replaced, a bunch of kids came running past, so we pretended to take photos and all whiel they ran past.
Found at 16:04 - #6375 along with Indiana Jill, Rosmar & soStepho . signed as INTGEO(team) to save space and time

For our weekend of MEGA adventures we decided on a name of INT GEO as our team included cachers from USA, Fiji and Denmark with a couple of kiwis making up the balance. From the start we decided on quality not quantity but we wanted to include a mix of cache types to share with our newbie cacher.
We enjoyed two days out and about with good weather, great caches shared with a fun team.
As the kiwis in the team, we were constantly reminded of the amazing scenery that we simply take for granted as we were frequently shown examples of "trees dripping with colour", "lichens growing amongst the volcanic vomit", "picturesque lakeside bays" and "mountains of meringue"......
Thanks for all the COs for sharing with us a fabulous area of NZ.
It was Jill who located this one and staged a photo shoot while completing the find and the logging TFTC.

Rotorua to Wanganui.
Todays trip took us through some amazing country with beautiful scenery.
On the way we encounted sunshine, rain & sleet. We found a good variety of caches & hides.
Notmany places you can see a man riding a horse down the main street.
Thanks for placing this cache GEO-KINGz

The big journey is going on. After Thailand, we get to New Zealand. After doing the canoe trip down the Whanganui, we have been brought back to Raetihi. This time I went for this cache and got it.

We continued the walk along the main street to this one.
A few folk searched the large rocks whereas I focussed elsewhere .
Soon had the cache but the log was extremely wet and couldn't sign it.
Found with SimonsenExplorers.

Like many others started on the wrong side of the road thinking the GPS was lying. Quickly found it when we decided to just trust the gps! Great find in my hometown, thanks for bringing me back here
Returned to Raetihi to try to have another crack at some caches we were unable to locate some months back.
This one had a full log so I added a slip from my note book.

Yay our first one, though there was no more room to write our name and date .
Lovely spot, an early morning find while exploring Raetahi and collecting a few of the local caches while the rest of the family slept in. *TFTC GEO-KINGz, #8702*
We are new to geocaching and thought this one was great. Easy to find using gps and imagination.
It was a pleasure to stop in Ratahi again, and admire the elegant buildings from a past era. The Theatre Royal is definitely one of the best in town.
Enjoyed the cache, although started on the wrong side of the road until we looked at the GPS - it shows that assumptions should not be made.

Big rocks took most of attention...wasted a bit of time..GPS knew where it was though...tftc
Taranaki Anniversary weekend and made the most of a fine weather weekend to climb Ruapehu for Santa's Secret cache. Now making my way home but first grab a few high FP geocaches and being a working day for most I can geocache mostly without muggles around.
Nice bit of history. Thanks for bringing me here & TFTC

Thank you for the interesting history lesson and the opportunity to find another cache.
Found thanks. Thanks for the interesting history. Got very excited thinking you were referring to The Africa Queen but realise my mistake. Can it really be the oldest theatre in the Southern Hemisphere - surely something older in Australia, South Africa or South America? Tftc.
On a road trip to Taupo for round the lake relay and stopped to grab a few caches. Only one spot this could be and soon found. Tftc
Found this cache on our wonderful new zealand trip. We had a great time and got many beautiful impressions. Thanks for this cache. P. S. Our log name has been changed in the meantime. In the cache logbook we logged with "denper".
Found on the way from Wanganui to Ohakunewith great spots on the Wanganui River Road and the view to Mount Ruapehu in the end. Thanks
After a day on the old coach road we thought we would hit the Raetihi caches before heading home.
This one however we had to skip. Looked like a busy evening at the nearby club, we didn't believe stealth was going to be viable.

Rained off our intention to bike the Old Coach Road, we decided to recommence our journey southward. First a stop in Raetihi. Still raining but not so that you wouldn't want to get out and find the odd cache or two!
This was a straightforward find in a spot that marks the history of theatre in this small village. Happy to have that insight.
Cache in order; log signed, safely re-hidden just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Dot Day... A day trip to Wanganui. When Gap (of Fap and Gap) told me he was going to the powerboat races, I knew today's dot would be history...
It's almost a year since our last visit here. When I first saw this town's architecture, I knew it deserved to have caches... We didn't read the description for this one and made a wrong assumption about where it was hidden. After eating up a few minutes, a quick check revealed the cache location. Great to have locals telling the story... TFTC.

TFTC had a nice lunch here. On our three day trip to Auckland for Christmas. Interesting fact my son found it hard to believe oldest theatre in Southern Hemisphere.
An interesting part of history & a good spot for your first cache.Well done, thankyou.
On a mission to climb Mt Tongariro today, but had time for a few quick stops on the way.
Nice to see some more caches popping up in Raetihi - there's more here than you'd think.
A couple of young muggles had just gone around the corner, so we were able to make a quick grab. TFTC GEO-KINGz

#7293. A park and explore on Seddon Street this afternoon. Interesting history here. GZ was all quiet at this time. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Originally thought gpsr was playing tracks on me, decided to follow it and cache was soon in hand, all seemed well and was a quiet experience.

Quick grab while explorimg & strolling the length of this cool little town. Enjoyed yummy homemade pies , slices & coffee across the road. TFTC!
A quick find on a rainy afternoon - had fun in the snow this morning - went to grab this and all of a sudden the road was very busy! Tftc
A twelve and a half hour road trip from New Plymouth down to Whanganui then up to Pipiriki, across to Raetihi then up to Taumarunui, and back to New Plymouth via Piopio. Eighteen caches in all; not a huge number but we were after interesting places to visit rather than lots of finds.
We picked up a few outstanding local caches, then stopped for lunch at a nice little café in Whanganui before carrying on up the closed River Road.
This was number fifteen for the day and a quick find for me to make my sixth. My wife wanted to cross the road to the theatre itself, but I was adamant that we were on the right spot, and a quick glance down proved me right.
Thanks for the cache and the history lesson.

After an amazing weekend snowboarding on Mt Ruapehu with friends I left our accommodation after a great breakfast to head back to Auckland. Another quick find today. TFTC
Driving from Whanganui home to Auckland via Turangai and Taupo, nice quick find, thanks for bringing me here, what a beautiful theatre.

This is a lovely old Theatre. Reminds me of the local theatre, when I was young. It is sad that these old gems can not fit in the modern world.
As it was an early start. Rotorua to Wellington for the ferry. We started without breakfast and after finding the cache, went to the nearest dairy for a pie or something. The dairy reminded me of the general store, in my home village of Ranui in West Auckland and looked like it was out of the fifties. However, the honourable Chinese owner had EFTPOS and understood my broken Mandarin "thank you".
Thanks GEO-KINGz. Check out our Breakfast series of caches in Rotorua. In particular Bruce's Breakfast, which is a mince pie and a can of "V". Bruce, otherwise known as Davidson Clan. He passed us, going the other way on the Raetihi road. Relocating an old Aunt. So he says.
