I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi PageHeart
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

A shame that we have to add to the activity list as another DNF. Searched for a while but no luck.
Had a rummage around all of the posts but nothing moved.
It's a DNF for us today

North Island Campervan trip Day 10
After the fantastic holiday I had a few months ago traveling around the South Island, making the most of one of those incredibly cheap campervan deals available at the time, I figured it was worth taking a week off work before the stresses of the usual holiday period to enjoy some of the delights to be found around the top of the North Island.
This would be a great chance for me to seek out some targeted caches such as the TMGT ones as well as some that would help me with my Jasmer grid, missing minutes (for a couple of challenge caches I'm working on) and any other caches that caught my eye.
Last night was spent near the centre of Whangarei, so that I could spend a few hours caching around here before starting my drive back to Auckland. That was always assuming the weather played ball of course lol!
I was starting my day by (concurrently) doing the 2 Adventure Labs currently available near the centre of Whangarei plus any other regular caches that I would be walking past. And who says men can't multitask eh? :p
So having parked next to the Te Matau a Pohe Bridge, this was the first cache I encountered. Shame that it was a DNF, but with the given co-ordinates placing the cache in a private building I'm just not convinced that I was even looking the the right area. I tried all up and down the mesh fence line but I suspect it's supposed to be elsewhere. Either that, or it's simply not there.

With it being such a nice day, there were plenty of other people walking around the cache site. In between muggles passing, I tried what I thought were the likely hiding places but couldn't see anything of interest.

Couldn't sign it, log is full and needs replacing, sorry didn't take a spare, no ofFENCE.
Nice little mag micro.

Found easily enough but not signed because this cache is in still in need of a new log. I would imagine with the amount of traffic round this basin it would require high maintenance with only a nano sized log paper. tftc
Log is full so couldn't sign. Gog while on a walk around the loop in drizzling rain. Walked straight past this one and had to go back as was guessing at what structure it was one. Thanks for the hide
A day of caching in my old home town. A pleasant little walk along the pathway to get this. Straightforward find as loitered inconspicuously when muggles passed by. Thanks for bringing me here.
The log is very full and needs replacing.

Take photo for proof. New log please?

It seemed to us that the cache was behind the fencing and thereby inaccessible. Obviously we missed something obvious. But we were unable to get the tops off any of the metal posts as I seem to have another hiding place
Nice find while in the area with tmann421 today
Enjoying the trip north and the caches

Stamped logs as tm/ww NZ which may just look like a black smudge on plastic logs!

Found while taking the kids for a scoot around the loop. Great way to avoid the Christmas madness in town. Thanks for the cache.
Found when we went on our scooters around the loop. thanks for the cache.
Quick find after doing the Parkrun. Logbook was full so we couldn't write our names in it. Tftc with jakesrage
Pretty quick find but the log book was full, couldn't sign her off. Tftc with isistibisi.
Tramyard and I headed up north on a roadtrip to find the Northland geotour caches. We would have been up this way last weekend if I wasn't completing a half-marathon for charity and tramyard wasn't at a competition.
We stayed near Opononi last night and were heading back to Auckland via the west coast. Today we were targeting high favourite caches and virtuals after completing the geotour caches up north.
After visiting Tane Mahuta and Te Matua Ngahere we headed for Dargaville before taking a trip down the peninsula to find a few caches. We then headed off to Whangarei for the afternoon before returning to Auckland.
We were completing the waypoints for the virtual on the bridge and this was so close so we made the short walk to GZ. I soon located the cache. The log was full and we couldn't sign.

Found it during Northland trip with Aiden29. Nice hide on first day of Summer! TFTC
First stop off here and take a pic for the Virtual that I'd missed yesterday. Quick stroll and a small reach through had the cache in hand. Needs a new log here.
Our last day in Northland for this visit so only time for a few before we head on down the line, via Waipoua Forest and returning our grandchildren. Back across to SH1 via Dargaville and Brynderwyn and some new countryside sighted. Again a low cache find day but has been a nice trip up here to enjoy. Managed to get some missing info for the Virtual too that I'd failed to get yesterday.
Me and mrs capperz are up in Northland visiting our son, his partner and their four kiddies under 3 years old! Should be fun catching up and seeing how they've come on sice we last saw them 5 months ago in Australia. We headed up via re-locatable car from Wellington to Auckland Airport, via Whanganui overnight at daughter's, then swapped into our own hire car from Saturday until we head back to Marlbro next Wednesday evening. Not too many caching targets, but a few possibilities and hope to get the Virtuals as we pass them.

After a short airbnb break in Paihia we are making our way home. We stopped in Whangarei to do the Te Matau a Pohe virtual, and are also finding any trads along the way. Interesting hide here. Thanks.
Up from Wellington and spending some time in Whangarei this morning to collect a few caches, this was one. What's left of the log paper is full, TFTC
26 October 2019 08:17. Found and replaced between waves of parkrunners this morning, whilst I was trying to get the info for the virtual nearby. Tftc
Spending the long weekend in the area with Jag50. A nice quick find on a sunny afternoon
This one was on the walk that I was doing for a Virtual cache. I just couldn't go past it.
Cheers for the cache.

sneaky but had a good idea what to look for. got it this visit as missed it last time and not much time today for searching and lots of muggles to avoid. took a few photos as a distraction but also lovely place to be out walking. tftc.
Sneaky find, trying to hide away from muggles lol. No room on the log so took a photo instead. TFTC
Endroit apparemment trouvé mais pas de cache même après avoir cherche 15 min sans succès
Had a good poke around for ages, unfortunately not there for us today. Thanks anyway.

Am back in New Zealand , better : back in northland and do enjoy the moments when I have the opportunity to have time searching for a cache (or two...)

TFTC... Beautiful views and interesting artworks along the loopwalk! Unfortunately the log was soaked so did not pull out of this tiny mag as too scared it'll perish in its mushiness. Sorry I haven't invested in nano logs in my maintenance kit yet.... definitely needs replacing.
GZ wasn't where I had initially thought it would be.... but once geosenses were in play... managed to squeeze my hand through to retrieve!
My final cache find in Whangarei today as time to head back north to my bed!
Will send CO photo log as proof

Need small hands to retrieve this easily! An extraction tool would be handy too. Log needs replacing. Disintegrated in my hands. Cool hide!
Came for a walk round the Basin this morning and why not pick up a few caches on the way. Nice quick find here between muggles. TFTC
Found! Finally did the sneaky one after days of walking the loop hunting. Needs new paper unfortunately.
I am up in Whangarei/Onerahi for Easter weekend visiting the parents and of course, I am going to collect some caches whilst in the area. After a bit of caching in Onerahi this morning and a trip down to Ruakaka for the Marsden City series, I'm back in Whangarei for a couple more hours of caching before heading back to Onerahi. This afternoon turned out to be a tour of my childhood, as it passed by many of the places I spent time in in my formative years.
A pleasant walk down to the GZ where this was a quick and easy find. TFTC

Very late logging this one, found the old entry for it in our GPS field notes today.
Enjoyed our walk around the basin - thanks for the cache.

HotRodPete & Liz decided that it was too nice an evening to sit inside after work so we went for a wander around the Hatea Loop, at least the area close to the "hook" bridge. This was also a chance to pick up a few of the caches in the area as there were too many muggles around.
Last one for the evening as it's getting dark. This was a quick find even with the GPS still showing that we should venture beyond the barrier.

Easy find took kids for a walk they played and threw rocks while we looked
#2701 First cache in a long while!! Was in the area with time to kill so thought I'd take a gander. Gap in pedestrians just as I spotted it so made the grab. TFTC - nice to be caching again. Bring on a summer of it!
Ah easy micro. Didn't realise there was a path here and we tried to park at the front. Tftc
After a visit at Kiwi North i going for a walk in Whangarei. Really nice way. The cache is a little one, but was easy to find. TFTC
No luck here for us today. Both phones telling us the same area but twas not for us today. Lots of muggles about.
I can't believe it it would be the 7th time here. Finally. So worth the wait. TFTC
After a lovely time attending Ahoy There Mateys event, walked towards the bridges and found this wee cache. Great fun. TFC
Sunny Autumnal day and lots of families enjoying the area.Had to wait for a gap between groups before stooping down to retrieve the cache. Sat down on a nearby rock to sign the log, and dropped the lid. Fortunately was able to reach the lid.
My GPS was off 3 m. Followed the clues. But my pen went dry. Thanks from Richland WA USA.
Plain sight is always best. Thanks for the placement. On our way around now. Thanks for the t
Thanks Pageheart for crafty we cache...you always have to be on your toes with these ones tftc
Another find after the ParkRun. On our way to 1000 by the end of the day! SL TFTC
Second find of the day with PHILBIRDBOYS, nice quick find after completing the Whangarei Parkrun. TFTC.
Out for an evening exercise jaunt after the heavy rain cleared - hopefully less muggles about in town.
Wiith the good clues given, cache was soon in hand, although longer fingers would certainly have helped.

Out for some late night caching adventures with the boys. we were very impressed with the highly sophisticated camera which kept on revolving and changing its direction on particular intervals. We had to search a bit to find this one, and happy that we did. tftc.

Quick find with Gorby and Harisree while finding a couple of caches in the area. TFTC
Walking along in the dark, myself harisree and FMZ. We watched the camera above us moving around, there were 2 of them and we waved our arms around trying to catch the attention of the. Why on earth would you have those here anyway? I passed by the cache in my search, but FMZ found this one.
Lots of walkers coming past in early evening !
Very tricky to manoeuvre it out for signing and back.....!
Thanks !

Thanks, found by Mrs CBE. Not quite in position indicated by the hint. CBE from the UK
Nice easy find. While I was in place a tug went down the river so I got to watch the bridge being raised. TFTC.
Found while walking around the walkway. It was evening and getting chilly yet there were still heaps of people out walking and running on this well used walkway. I hadn't been expecting to be caching this evening and none of us had a pen. So I am uploading a photo of the log as evidence of the find of the wee cache. Cheers for the hide!
