With some personal health challenges in recent years and growing kids with diverse sporting commitments, maintenance is not as achievable as it used to be. Indeed, my involvement in any form of geocaching in general is pretty limited at present, so I will create some space on the board on focus on ALs, which I dont need to maintain!

The puzzle. I dont have any notes on this, and do not remeber how i solved it. So if anyone helped, thankyou. It was a while ago, and has been staring at me for ages to go and do. Well, i got to a gz, down a very unused sketchy track, and searched everywhere. There were 3 beehives, and a house only 50M away, so was thinking, did i get it wrong? I ventured as close to the beehives as i dared, trying to llok at a certain tree, but nothing really jelled. It was then that i saw something reptillian. IOf it was a different colour, i would say Bluetongue, but i was brown, with black splotches on it. It didn't move, but i sure did! Stupid me went back a couple of times to get a better look, but it had not moved at all, so i was going no closer. Had searched a huge circle, except over in that quadrant, read the logs, which really gave me lots of clues, but nothing helpful. Time to MAF. So previous finder said they could n't remember, but with some persuasion, they remembered enough to answer some questions, which started me thinking im in the wrong spot. Then the coords come through, just as i am about to ask. Oh, Seems i have a typo here. Swapped the decimals in the southing. Put them right, OK only 160Mts back towards the car. So off i go, back up the hill, find a path that looked right, and once again i am at another gz. I searched everything for 50mts, understanding there is 16 months leaf litter on it. No luck. Was it ever put back? Wherever that may have been. Off to get an AL instead. Starting to like them....

I admit I had to get a hint from the CO to solve the puzzle for this one it's very clever.
Today having a day of work , I headed out for some fresh air and exercise . This was my first cache of the day and a nice walk up to GZ , I walked up and down the path without seeing anything then I walked around GZ several times , then I read past logs and noticed something mentioned in a log but still no luck , I eventually spotted the cache laying on the ground and messaged the CO as I didn't think that's were it belonged but I left the cache where I found it as I was unsure if I was correct or not. I then made my way back towards my car and thankfully this has never happened before, I rounded a corner , Heard a noise turned thinking it was an animal but straight in font of me was a man urinating at a tree, I am not sure who was the most embarrassed. I then ran to my car . This will be a memorable cache for me. Thanks for the cache the_garbageman . Fav point for the great puzzle and memorable cache. sorry I could not replace it in it's right spot. tnln sl

Found it a getting assistance with the puzzle. Took the highlighted track that was on my phone and had to bush bash around 80m to get to the GZ. After reading the hint I found the right path and began searching. Finally spotted what I was looking for. TFTC Garbageman.

The Cut n Paste bit: Today I set out to find 25+ caches with different D/T combinations, to qualify for "The Unique Difficulty/Terrain Challenge" (https://coord.info/GC54RAX) and I'm pretty sure I was successful with 26 different combos, a few extra caches, and only 3 DNFs for the day.

Notes on this cache: A good meaty puzzle to nut through, and then a bush cache - my type of cache!

Approaching GZ there is this big drive-way / very neat road. It didn't say "Private Property" anywhere, and there was a shared "walker/cars" sign so I drove down it. Strange place, I wondered what was down here. And then I came to what looked like a very well kept residential property. I didn't predict that. Man! Who puts a shared-use road sign on their drive-way and doesn't put a "Keep Out" sign of some sort to prevent people from driving straight up? Crazed sex -fiend killers that's who! It a honey-trap to draw in the unsuspecting into their sick world! (To any kids reading this I am talking about "stranger danger", just hold your parent or guardian's hand and be wary). Well played Mr Garbageman, but they won't catch me! Now just imagine me frantically reversing my car back up the driveway, wheels spinning and smoking on the perfectly manicured ashphalt (you'll have to just imagine it because in reality I did a very quiet little u-turn and carefully drove out).

Parking the car outside the creepy gate, I made my way up into the bush. At GZ: Nup, there's no geocache here! So I checked the hint. Path? What path? Oh, that path. How are you going to see if there are any snakes about by following a path Big Grin ? So I role-played things a bit, going up and down the path to see what I could see. Cache? Oh, that cache. Yay! Not what/where I would have predicted. I can't see the water getting into this one. Signed log, and - after a bit of difficulty - replaced as found. A good little adventure this one. TFTC!

I thought I'd solved this, but once at what I thought was GZ I realised I was wrong. Just then another cacher messaged me about another cache, so I asked for a bit of help with this one. At the real GZ the cache was retrieved with the help of Miss Unicorn of Beary_Unicorns, so I wouldn't have found it at all without help. TFTC, fave point from me

I really should have researched the location for the last couple of caches before leaving Brisbane. I wasn't in possession of the right footwear for the soggy paths I was greeted with this morning... Twisted But, I was here for a reason and during my short visit to the area, I was keen to secure the puzzles I had solved as well as some others. [^]

Off I went, carefuly stepping around the wet, muddy and slippery terrain, until I could head off the path and trek inbound to GZ. I found a plantpot at GZ and though the container had been left out in the open, until I remebered the size on the cache page and quickly realised it wasn't what I was looking for. Smile

A few seconds later, I spotted the prize and moved in for business. Log out, I etched my name and returned as found. All done, I carefully made my way back down to the car. Big Grin

Cheers garbageman.

Found with PPE today on our coastal tour. We probably didn't make the best approach to this one and once there, the Garmin overshot a bit before bringing us back to the cache. Fortunately, the TOTT I'd brought (PPE) released the cache easily. It was a bit troublesome to return but it's safely in place.
Thanks the_garbageman.

The eight cache for the day on the Gentlemen's Tour of Newcastle with Baktrak.
Found a novel way in from the bottom without disturbing the residents and followed our nose along the labyrinthine trails. Baktrak reckoned I was the TOT required for the retrieval. The trek back down was mush easier!

Solved the puzzle, finally! It took a little while to figure out what had to be done. Came in from the bottom road, found GZ and eventually found the cache. Good hide and good container. SL TNLN TFTC the_garbageman

After solving this one months ago, I finally found some time to duck out and finish this off. Nice sunny day and was also a good excuse to get out on the pushy. SL TNLN TFTC. Smile #96 at 2:25pm

This cache came out about the same time as one of my puzzles and after some trials, we ended up swapping hints. Initially I thought I knew what it was, but was thinking about it wrong. So with the hint it was soon worked out.
After coming close for work I though I would finish the journey and find the cache today. The area is quite nice with lots of paths to choose from, and somehow I managed to pick all the right ones. I laughed when I spotted the cache. That was unpredictable.
Thanks for the walk, puzzle and sneaky cache!

Spent some time on the puzzle but felt I did not have the answer. I submitted my initial coords to the garbageman, who said they were hopeless, I was also nudged in a new direction. At one point I thought I would need him to nudge the GPS as well. All ended up well with a great container in a good hide. Many thanks. Interesting area.

Out with the lads this morning to do a few caches around the lake, always a pleasure driving/exploring this area....

I had looked at this puzzle ages ago, not long after it came out, but got nowhere, I was thrown by the mention of 1100 caches, and noted there were no 1's or 0's in the code.... I looked again after the CO's recent hint in a similar cache's log, but still couldn't click.... after a pretty big nudge from the CO, we had it solved, thanks Ben.....

Finding the cache was fairly straightforward, with coords placing us basically on top of the cool container.

Thanks the_garbageman!

I solved this a while ago and recorded GZ, now I can't remember how I did that! I'm going to have to look at it again. However, we were up this way today and I managed to park closer to GZ than I thought possible, so we took a short walk and spent some time looking in one particular area. I then remembered another cache found recently, and soon spotted this one, not easy to see. Thanks for a great puzzle and hide in another top location.

We had solved this one a little while ago, and today was the day to venture out and grab some caches. We arrived at what looked like someones driveway, (It isn't and their gates are just a little further on). We should have had the GEOLUX but alas Mr C had to trek his way in. After a short search in a few wrong locations GZ presented itself and the log was signed.

After going back and revisiting some unsolved puzzles something finally clicked on how to solve one of them. TOMBI then suggested that the method I used for that puzzle may apply to this one. So I sat down and had another look. Finally I managed to sqeeze out something sensible. I was surprised at the location that was revealed as I walk the dogs in the area fairly regularly. So on the way home from work I stopped by and set off. It took me around 15-20 mins to find it as I was just searching random areas. Once I stopped and thought about it I found it. TFTC

Reperio at 0800. *FTF*

I was at work when this one came online yesterday, and having recognised what to do with it straight away...I solved it on my lunch break. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a chance to go and look for it until this morning...and since it was still unlogged...did just that. The track wasn't too muddy here...although it would only take a little more rain to make it very much so. Once at GZ, the cache was quickly spotted and retrieved.
