Travelling with Angus 88. It is always satisfying to change a blue dot to a yellow one. Thanks for replacing this cache.
A little devastated to find our first cache had been destroyed by burn offs. None the less my daughter and I have left a NEW FIND close to the location in a tree stump that has been cut in a plastic bag ( will return later this week with a new log book and pencil + container)
Good luck on the new hunt!
Good luck on the new hunt!
Bit of a stroll in, very damp underfoot, quickly found the “sandy “ area, spent way too long looking for the cache. Tftc!
I was on a bike and it was hard to decide on the best approach. After a few mis-starts, I found a nice trail and got within 90 metres. A short wander throught the bushes brought me to both the cache and a more logical path. TFTC
Thanks for the cache Grumbligrot.
Spending the weekend in Low Head with RLD4963.
Took us a couple of goes to find the right place to approach this cache, but once we had the right track it was a nice straightforward walk and we were soon adding our names to the cache.

out and about caching with 1 Lil Rafa in the Low Head Georgetown area, TFTC TNLN log dry easy find with clues this time we had time to tidy up loose ends or caches unfound from our last trip. this was one of them. everything is good at GZ. sneaky little cache, glad for a smiley here. glad to Find the cache.
Tftc. First hit out at geocaching for a little while. Kids starting to get bigger and enjoy it again. Tnln.
Signed log.
Log requires maintenance. Hole in ziplock bag has allowed the log to get a little wet

As I was getting close to GZ I noticed a bit of rubbish about the area, so I knew that this could be a tricky one. I got to where I was supposed to be, and looked around and saw a telltale box lid and then a box and bits and pieces scattered all over the ground. At least it was all complete, so I signed to the log (which I also found), placed it in the box along with some other things I found and hid it next to a tree with a couple of branches covering it, hope it is close to where it was originally. TFTC.
On our tour around Tassie we made here a quick stop.
After a while looking we can find the cache. But it lay everything around. We collect the items and give them back to the right OZ. Now is all good.
Thank you and greetings from Germany send Moorhelmi

Found this one out in the open so placed back next to tree.
Today I decided I would head up to pipers river to collect a multi and then continue over to
Georgetown/low head to pick up the remaining few caches I had left to find it the area. A total of 17 finds turning 6 DNFs into smileys. Was great to even run into some fellow cachers: Tassietrekers and whitewebs on their journey in the area.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 5000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 70 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.

Great find an experience for me and my friend cause we went through the bush never again
It took a little while to find the best way to this cache and in doing so managed to find a leech. Fortunately it dropped off without too much encouragement. Anyway we finally arrived at GZ and found the cache. We managed to disturb a few wallabies in the process. TFtc
I'm no wombat when it comes to finding caches
Usually
This I rode the pushbike rather than walking to GZ
Where a short dig around produced a cache find [^]

Hi there Grumbligrot.
We found your cache **"Wombat Walk"** at 9:35:00 AM today. (This brings our total find count to 18656).
Yesterday nothing seemed to go according to plan. Everything just seemed to go wrong - but today was quite different and the sky gods smiled on us. Today we decided to revisit the caches we couldn't find yesterday, and then take a "next closest" approach to find a few more, & ended up finding a variety of container types and sizes on our journey. We had an absolutely wonderful drive and our count for the day was 13 finds (& 2 DNF's).
###Thanks for not placing an eclipse tin or a 200ml Sistema here. Once upon a time caches seemed to be "regular" sized, and well stocked with goodies for kids to swap. Nowadays it seems like every other cache is small and devoid anything to induce children to enjoy the hunt. It made us feel really good to find this cache in a "special" place.###
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

We wandered around a liitle bit with this one until we found the right track and then soon had the cache in hand. It seems trailbike riders also enjoy using the park and we had to dodge one on our way back. They must annoy the nearby houses. Thanks Grumbligroy for organising this cache.
This was the first of 3 caches we found in this area today. Once near GZ we stopped to survey the area and look for possible hiding spots and there it was, less than a metre from my feet. Got the information we needed from the container and then continued on to look for the other 2 here.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Isn't it annoying when you spend 15 min fruitlessly stomping all over your GZ only to read a string of "easy find" logs from young cachers out on their first hunt? Just as annoying as having to ask the CO for an "is it still there" hint, only to spot it as soon as you return. Our grumbling would no doubt do the CO proud. Thanks for the guidance Grumbli. We feel like total noobs.
Today we travelled to George Town to attend the leap day event arriving at 12.00 noon to allow us to find caches published since our last visit. We had 27 on our list including the event. We managed to find them all and enjoyed the variety of hides and our tour of George Town.
Enjoyed this series which kept us on our toes remembering to look for clues.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

A short search and all was done TFTC This is a lovely area and we're enjoying our second day's caching here. The weather is perfect. Also looking forward to the event on Monday evening to meet and thank all the Tassie CO's who have added so much fun to our touring here.
We've now only got four weeks left of our six month stay (til the end of March '16) from the Kurrajong area, (Blue Mountains) NW of Sydney, to tour in the caravan and also visit our kids and grandkids in the Huon Valley On four previous visits before this visit, we were muggles, so we're having fun finding the caches we didn't even know were here! even know were here!

A bit of a walk but pleasantly cool and another one found to confirm our thinking.

Quick find as cache was out in the open. Placed back at base of a tree and covered in leaf litter. Suggest cache owner checks the cache

The kids argued about walking to this one so the egg volunteered to go. She sent me in seach if a publuc BBQ so we could buy dinner and cook it. Have since found out there are no public BBQs in Georgetown. Lagoon Beach is the closest. Anyway I thought she would be about 20 minutes but she was back in under 10 after a quick find and I was on the other side of town (yeah still looking for a BBQ) so had to zip back to get her. Double checking she grabbed the required info, she showed me a photo. All good! TFTC
Keeping a weather eye on the billowing smoke from the nearby fire we quickly acquired the cache, noted the clue, which at this stage are still not making a lot of sense, and are moving on to the next one, hoping to find them all today
Lovely day for a stroll, parked at the entrance and walked down to the cache. Quick easy find, left behind a Scout, TFTC
Finally found it. Trees play havoc with gps. great fun trying to find though with geokid #2 whilst on school holidays. Placed TB in this cache. TFTC.
Travelling around Australia and now in Tasmania!
Headed out on a glorious day to visit Bell Bay and George Town.
The morning was indeed glorious but after lunch it was a bit windy but still sunny.
We managed to find your cache today.

We were in the area today doing caches that have been published since our last visit. We enjoyed doing this new series and solving the bonus puzzle cache after we had obtained all the clues. Thanks for the fun and for all the effort put into the placement and nicely stocked containers. A nice walk to GZ from the school carpark. TFTC
Took the 4x4 for a spins to locate this one, was feeling too lazy to walk in.
Quick and easy find, good hide.

TFTC. Came through Franklin street, a few water holes for the Geomobile to tackle. Its a shame about all the rubbish that is dumped:(
Disappointing in that this place has so much potential, however, some locals view it as the unofficial Gergetown rubbish tip.. shame.. thanks..!!
After parking at the suggested location, we headed off down the track. At one stage we were within about 90m of the cache but the track started to head away. We decided to make our way through the light scrub and soon picked up another track which took us to GZ. After a short hunt, the cache was located but in a location that was not consistent with the hint. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache Grumbligrot.
FTF with SSCHARLIE!
Was excited to walk Wombat Walk with the geokiddies as I was apart of the school group who spent a few years clearing out the weeds and rubbish and growing native plants from seeds collected to replant. Cache isn't exactly located on the 'Wombat Walk' and had to head bush to grab it. If I knew we could've drove up to cache it would've saved some tears from the kiddies . TFTC
