Wet wet wet pillcan cache and sopping wet unbagged paper logslip. Replaced with RITR booklet in a reg mini. Hung the paper remnant on the fenceline to dry. Walked Andail rd back to the main street and away. The big tree that used to offer reasonable protection is gonnee. *RTP 325pt*. tftc
Found the point hinted at just fine and had a really good look but no luck. Possibly muggled? I know that micros can be very sneaky and I was looking at night but for a 1 star difficulty it’s hard to believe I missed it
Disregard my last, just as I was driving off I saw the other spot which in fact did have a geocache! Tftc
A nice, easy find in the logical spot. Thank you for the cache, everything was in good order: the double wrapping helps with the moist-control
My stroll over here took quite some time; there were lots of interesting plants growing along the road in a spectacular display of shapes and colours and styles and whoknowswhats. Not a clue what plants they were, but one looked as if it had hundreds of little kiwis growing on it.
My advice would be to enjoy this area while you can: everywhere around there were freshly planted boundary marker poles in the ground, and already builders vehicles were driving off and on. Which means that probably not too far from now this area will be destroyed and replaced with those dreadful prefabs such as in Waihola and Mosgiel. Sad.
Thank you for the cache.

On a caching trip. First one. Quick find nice view although was a bit rainy.

Out for walk this morning so access direction wasn’t a issue though it seems from the type marks some vehicles still go through. Going from the CO description I wouldn’t recommended it!
Looked in the wrong spot for about 5 minutes as my coords gps was a bit off today.

Out for a few caches on a dot day. Weather is much improved after a very wet weekend. Log is wet.
I found myself on the right road for a quick park and grab more by accident than good planning. Makes up for some others I guess. Interesting back story in the description and I saw the barrier from GZ. TFTC # 13,925
Had a couple of laughs trying to spot this one .
Out for a couple of quick caches tonight while staying with NZ Bozzy
Lovely evening for a quick walk . Didn’t know this road was here but pretty sure I did travel on it as a child

Been meaning to do this one for a long time, took the long way in. - Thanks Bitsprayer
Had a nice wee geotrail planned but forgot to consider elevation so turned into a brisker walk than originally planned - a straightforward find here. TFTC #201
In the area after a group geocaching outing so just had to find this before heading home. Nice quick find. TFTC
Missed the Islay St turnoff so approached from the wrong direction, then had problems with helpful dog-walkers checking I wasn't lost... but got there eventually.
Thanks for bringing me down this road. Had a lovely walk down to cache. Log very dry. TFTC
School holidays. First cache found with the kids. Good one to start with. Thanks.
Rather nice to get a cycle-by after wandering around and about in the Nichol's Creek bush all morning. Was at the right end, but could have got the bike through, I am sure if necessary.

After spending most of the day at the Otago peninsula it was time for another Geocaching binge. Two stayed at the camp site while I dropped my eldest off at the start of a mountain bike track. Thanks for the hide.
Found just as the sleet set in. Fortunately, a quick easy find was the order of the day. TFTC.
A quick park and grab on a very wet day for Sirbennis and I. I like it when thay are quick and easy. TFTC
Nice find today with Just-Lookin.
On a trip around the area hunting for a few caches.
Another wet and windy day unfortunately!
Fun drive, quickly located and log signed.

An easy find here while out and about exploring the Leith Valley this afternoon. TFTC
When there is a choice of housework or caching and a nice morning it didn't take us long to head off. Was lagging behind in finding a cache until this one. My excuse was I was doing the driving.
I was visiting a nearby friend and by the time it came to getting this cache I had to borrow a torch off her. Easy by torchlight.
Found on 4/09/2015.
A quick park and grab in-between passing dog-walkers.

On the way to a new cache around the corner, I could not help but stop here I went past the other day, but two ladies were pushing prams up the hill rather slowly, and I knew I would need to hang around for a while, so I pulled the plug then. Very quiet this morning, only one running muggle, and he was fast! TFTC!!

A quick find in the dark before anybody was about, after initially trying to come in from the wrong end. Thanks.
Picked the right approach to a convenient park beside GZ. Quickly found and logged. TFTC
Didn't even get out of the car as some old geezer, says 'slightly' greying me , was parked up next to the pole, seemingly checking out the back of people's houses.
I'll be back.
I'll be back.
Bit challenging as there was a chap busy cutting firewood, but he did have his back to the cache, and was wearing ear protection.
Silly us didn't read the cache listing before hunting down the cache, ended up turning down the street and getting stuck at a dead end. Never mind, I got out and began hunting while Hevic turned the car around. No bad thing, anyway, because it meant we could effectively U-turn instead of continuing southwest along a rather muddy road. Cheers!
Not an area I would visit often but that's what geocaching does for you, new places and new vistas and new friends.
FTF. I think it was a little more than two years ago that this road was closed due to the washout. Never mind, the funds to repair it were probably used to pay for some seats at the stadium or something. Vanity projects vs. basic city infrastructure? You know which way the council will lean every time. Surprised to get the FTF and can only assume others had been discouraged by the weather. Roads here were absolutely fine and drove right to the cache with no difficulties. TFTC.
