A beautiful winters day so Spiffy- and my geopartner headout out. Mt St Leonard was the target location as I had never been and it is visible from home.

On our way home now and this was a quick stop en route

Thanks to BonnyBlack for the placement and fun.

Found at 4:26 pm.
It was a beautiful winters day and Fleabag- has had a recent inkling to climb mountains for some reason. I was glad this one wasn't a 12km walk like a couple of weeks ago. Gladly, later in the day I was very glad to have brought 4WD as we drove my deeper into the forest after this fun trip up Mt St Leonard. Some quite slippery muddy rutted sections further in.
After lovely trip around Toolangi state forest we looked for some on the way home.
Another nice view of where we had just come from and very convenient parking.
Thanks BonnyBlack for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Find number 99! Took a while to spot this one. There is a cold wind coming through the Yarra Valley at the moment but cache was in hand soon enough. Great views from this spot! I used to drive a truck past here all the time during the grape vintage to deliver grapes between wineries and vineyards. Onto the next cache just around the corner for find # 100! Tftc!

19-Jun-21
couldn't find this one.

Finally got this one today! YAY
I was just out driving the backroads to test drive my car.
Trying to get our suspension sorted.
Anyway, usually when I drive past here, there are cars already parked on the side of the road, or it’s warm weather and the grass is long and I don’t feel safe to retrieve the cache.

Nice hide

Second weekend out, day1976 and I came back to warramate to complete the caches in the area we didn't make it to last time around.
Figured we would stop and get these ones after walking warramate.
Great views.

With the lifting of restrictions, Ilukaperi and I once again teamed up just like the old days. She had been exercising regularly through the lock down, whilst I had done 3 short walks in the 9 weeks off and had spent most of my time drinking wine. And it showed, I was knackered by the end of the day while she still wanted to go night caching.

The main aim of the day was to finish off the caches that we hadn't found in Warramate Reserve, so we headed that way as it is just within both of our 25 k zones.

Took a while to find this one. The views are stunning. A lovely place for a drive too.

Took a look at the hint...

Urghhhhhhh. I hate these.

Thats probably why Ilukaperi found it, but we both signed.

TFTC!

Find number 8331 at 1:34:39 pm
Had to head out to pick up a prescription this afternoon so I went for a little drive to check out the vista, I must say, it's not bad.
A quick find today, now it's back to the chemists with a smile on my dial.
Cache container sanitised after use.

A day in and around the Yarra Valley; we were surprised at how green this part of Victoria is and at the number of interesting caches on offer for us to find. Fabulous guided tour of the panorama, Healesville being our destination.
A FP for location.

Our thanks to 'BonnyBlack' for adding this cache to the geo-gameboard.

I had been at Healesville for a bit of work at the Yarra Valley Railway... and as we had finished early, I took the opportunity to take a longer way home and look for some caches to help me with this year's "annual souvenir hunt". A detour off the Highway made me realise just how prolific the wineries are around here now... and brought me to this cache. A quick find had me signing the brand new log sheet in a not-so-new cache... and enjoying the scenery on a rather overcast day.

Thanks **BonnyBlack** for putting this cache here.

Very cool spot had fun

After spending an enjoyable couple of days up this way visiting Lake Mountain and Healesville Sanctuary, it was time to head for home. Of course this included a bit of a detour to pick up a few local caches on the way. Beautiful scenery picking our way through the hills and trying to avoid going into any of the many wineries we past along the way. This one took quite a bit longer than the last hide even after checking the hint and knowing what we were looking for. With several sets of eyes we were about to pack it in when I finally spotted the hide in a spot I was sure I had checked already several times. These containers blend in very well sometimes. Thanks for the cache Bonny Black.

Suscoe was heading for Healesville this afternoon and so we stopped by this area to find a few caches along the way.
It was a pleasant day and we enjoyed the drive in the countryside.
A typical cool Winter's day but at least it was fine.
Thanks to BonnyBlack for this hide.
Late in the day with the sun setting.

Found @16:29 #5957
While on the long way home after attending a Yarra Expedition event picked up a few caches in the area. Its been quite a few years since was last in the general area for caching and wow the cache quality was fantastic.

Like other caches the coordinates are actually very good and after not spotting it in some obvious spots I then checked the hint and with that focus on a few options in the area. Well about 15mins had past and still no joy and was starting think if the fence may have been recently replaced.

Deciding that it was probably missing I decided to recheck a familiar spot just one more time for "just in case" and then bingo there it was. Yay!!, a satisfying find indeed and some nice views too.Cool

Nice view tftc found whilst trying to kill some time on route to Cockatoo

08-Nov-16
Drove pass this cache on the way to a nearby winery but as there was another car parked there we continued on. At the winery we eventually met the occupants of the car, a couple of young tourists from Italy who were on a wine tasting trip and definitely not geocaching. After purchasing a bottle or two we went back to GZ and while I planned a route to the next winery, geowife found the cache and we were soon on our way. TFTC.

28-Aug-16
Couldn't find it. Walked the whole area using the clue to help. Nothing doing. Stolen again, or just deviously placed. Beautiful view of the valley though.

22-Jun-16
Thanks for the hide

22-Jun-16
Great spot for a view ! Thanks for a great cache

19-Jun-16
Ahhh the views. I was playing around with my phone and simultaneously scanning the area for the cache, neither of which were that successful. Another car pulled up and I thought it might be another geocacher, but unfortunately not. Just tourists [xx(] Too many of them out today, clogging up the highways driving too slow Smile These backroads were very nice and refreshing.

Anyhow the cache was eventually found and signed and I moved on. Thanks BonnyBlack for the nice little stop.

Found it! About time that we tagged this one as we were joint FTF on the original. Grabbed by Mark working solo as he was working local tonight. Of course even in the middle of the night muggles can be a problem because as soon as Mark pulled over and got out of the car a well meaning passerby stopped and asked if he was ok. Of course some excuse was needed to explain what some bloke is doing wandering about in the dark, and the old 'I clipped a wombat' line was the first thing that came to mind. Now this line would normally work ok in these circumstances but not when the passerby is a wildlife carer. So a search for the phantom animal begins and only after both of us wandering for about 10 minutes around looking for the phantom injured wombat that didn't exist, did the good samaritan decide that the non-existent wombat must have survived the non-existant impact and continue on her way. After that the actual find was pretty easy given the hint and Mark hightailed it out of there before a bigger wombat search party could redeploy...TFTC...

After work we enjoyed a drive through orchards and vineyards. Thanks BonnyBlack for making us stop and breathe in the fresh air after a busy day. Cache in good condition. We were a bit worried as recent works had been done in the area.

07-Dec-15
Found with pprass who was in town, it was good to be back in my old stomping ground doing a few caches, these country caches are far more enjoyable that city caches, we had a great day touring the area. Thanks BonnyBlack for the cache.

Found at 10:32 AM GAFF3 in the company of Rebel Acts.
This is certainly a lovely spot to view the valley from. We have never been along this road, we always travel along the Maroondah Hwy.
Thanks BonnyBlack.

Smile GPS wasn't all that useful with so many trees around but the 'Vista' certainly provided some peaceful, thoughtful sights. The simplicity of the cache was certainly a tricky thing to overcome. Well placed!!!

Headed out tonight to pick up a few cache out Sevillle way and to have a hike up SteeleHill. Well we picked up the first two cache, got to a parking spot where my map said there was a path towards the hill and off we trot into what looked to be private property, well it was, and after about a km the fences closed in a around us and not knowing where to jump the fence, or which fence, or what which side was private and which parks we thought we better descretly head back. Plan B was a few more cache in the area and on the way home. Tftc BonnyBlack

Not quite sure if this is a FTF or not. It is a replacement, but it has just been published like a new listing. Although there was one entry in the log prior to ours, it was dated 13.06.15, four days before the cache was published. In view of this we are going to claim it as a FTF, but we would love some advice on the correct protocol here.

Oops, nearly forgot, thanks for bringing us here, we will definitely have to return during daylight hours to check out the view. Thanks for the cache.
