I found this geocache during a recent trip, however, for sme reason my log didn't automatically upload from my GPS as it is programmed to.Thanks for your cache hide and the effort that you put into maintaining it,
Found at 10:32 AM GAFF1.Wow - that is an innovative way of attaching a cache to a tree From an op shop maybe Thanks to Nards_Nuggles
Time for Mr. Lazy aka JTreeTrack2 to catch up on some logs. Sorry to the cache owners for the lag. I have enjoyed finding every cache I have found and appreciate all the effort that has gone in to placing and maintaining the caches. Hopefully I will find more caches and give a more timely and personalized logThanks again for placing the cache.
We are needing to be in Bendigo on Monday so after attending a few of the Great Victorian Cache Crawl events we headed out into the surrounding area to collect a few of the caches that we have been driving past for years.

Glad I did this on a cold day. Returning to the car, chatted with a local runner who ended up being the CO of the Cathcart Cemetery…!
Had a lovely chat and got to personally thank him for taking me to that great cemetery. Gotta love this game!
Thanks Nards_Nuggles for placing this cache and contributing to this great game. Happy trails, Deanside

After a week in Ararat I am heading home and this was the first for the day. No need to worry about wriggling sticks as I don't think they would be about as it was -2 degrees while I was here.
It took longer to read about the history here than to locate and get to the cache.
TFTC and nice container… 2 ends and Knew that I would unscrew the wrong one first!
Enjoyed while Mrs Riddell is happily spending a few days walking around Ararat though weather hasnt been good for that though!
TFTC, up to your usual good standard!

Out on a road trip from Ballarat and this was the next stop. Took a few minutes to spot this one as I was totally looking in the wrong area. Had the d'oh moment when I did find it and then signed the log, put things back together and headed back to the car.
Thanks for another one Nards Nuggles....old habits die hard obviously.

Had to make a day trip to pick up Geoson from a mates place. Couldn’t go home without stopping to get a cache. Decided to stop here to stretch our legs. Quick find. TFTC
Looks like this spot was pretty soggy but it's all good now and the cache is high and dry. TFTC!

Stopped for a couple of caches along the way where it was suitable to pull over with a caravan in tow.
The weather today was torrential rain, so we have decided to camp tonight at the sports ground.
We needed power as the sola has not been getting enough sun.
Thanks for placing your cache.

We would have loved to have found this cache today but there was a fair amount of water lurking about today and thought we may leave it until the weather improves somewhat.

Well that was a unique looking cache! Maybe it wasn’t thongs territory but I went for it anyway. Stomping loudly because maybe snakes. Thanks for the history insights and cache!
I decided to do a road trip along the Great Ocean Road this week. It’s been a long time since I travelled along this area and it was certainly before I was into caching! Having reached Warrnambool, I’m now making my way inland to head back towards Melbourne…. Via Beaufort and Ballarat .
Interesting cache container that was found relatively quickly.
Thanks Nards_Nuggles for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

Found this one hanging around minding its own business.

Found this cache in good condition. On our way back to Bendigo after spending 4 lovely days in Halls Gap. My Great, Great, Great Grandmother Lydia Cooper was killed in a buggy accident on Denicull Creek road. TFTC
We have been meaning to get this one for quite a while now but conditions and long grass have stopped us until today.

Why are you turning people off visiting Cathcart ?? [:o]
I had already visited Cathcart today,
and wasn't turned off at all [:o)]
And after leaving Cathcart,
I passed by this spot that turned me on to the main road again
A quick cache find after rolling down the embankment

#17248. Sunday in Ararat. The Morris, Robmc and I are out on the caching trail once more, hoovering up a few before lunch-time.
Interesting history on the page. Sad that no buildings remain. The others had done this cache so I clambered down and made my way to GZ. A good-sized container meant a quick find today. Now off to visit the Cemetery.
Thanks Nards_Nuggles

Little bit worried about snakes after a few recent sightings at other caches. Nice and easy Thanks
31 Dec 2019: Our Trackable "Mr Red Smiley" is happily back in circulation again. As per Searchers Folly's visit to this cache on 31 Dec 2019, we are electronically dropping Mr Red Smiley into this cache.
Found in worrying circumstances - my fear of snakes had me looking hard.
Great cache - took a bottle opener and left a trackable - Mr Smiley (TS6TP4)
Good luck with your travels little fella!

Heading up to St Arnaud Mega event and trying to achieve 30 finds today along the way. thankyou for the cache, enjoying the challenge, c3
We spent part of today looking for caches around Ararat. We were passing this cache on our way to look for a multi in the Cathcart cemetery so stopped to search for this one.
When we saw the length of the grass we hesitated. Then it was back to the car for our walking poles and bashed our way to GZ. We had no trouble locating the large cache container and soon had the log signed. Before leaving we spent some time admiring the tiny blossoms on the large gum.
Thanks for this cache Nards_Nuggles. We always enjoy finding reading the history of the places we visit and a big caches is always a bonus.

This was a great find! A good combo of ease and creative thinking. Kids had great fun finding it, TFTC!
A very easy find. There was no logbook and everyone was signing a card, so I left a small logbook.
Hoppy Easter. Camping with Geohubby, a quick trip into town for supplies was a good excuse for a bit of cacheing. An easy find for geohubby...he was on his own with this one as my footwear was not up to task Tftc
Found while spending a wonderful day exploring the area with our caching partner and seeing some amazing places, TFTC and the fun
Great hiding spot!!! But very small log, we scribbled out name at the bottom! Good loot, took something, left something!!
been wanting to get this one for a while & had some time today & remembered it
This log is to tidy up a mess I made with GSAK . I forgot to apply the template so my finds were published with a nonsensical log.
Rather than try and edit all the logs I post this not with what the log should have been.
My apologies for the confusion caused.
A few days away with Freddo, e.gregory1 and The White Dog Gang.
Fun was had by all. Not too many dnfs
Most logs signed as FETT.
Thanks for all the caches.

Found with Freddo, Team Waldron and thewhitedoggang on a short, post-Christmas sojourn to Victoria that involved plenty of driving, cycling, walking and even some boating and wading.
The weather was on our side (albeit a little warm at times), which made for some great caching. There were plenty of varied finds, with some excellent and often tricky hides and and just a few DNFs. We signed most logbooks ‘F.E.T.T.’
Thanks Nards_Nuggles for the cache.

Just dropped in a trackable that I had held on to for too long and needed somewhere to put it. Hopefully it moves along soon.
Nice quick find on my way down south. Collected a travel coin. Left a necklace TFTC
Quick find. But watch out for prickly bushes and nasty animals

Quick stop on the way in to Ararat from a different direction today for work. Decided to grab this one as I'd seen it for a while on my map.Cache is easy to spot, pretty easy to get to. TFTC Nards
Day 2 of my latest road trip in Australia. This time 5 days around VIC with a 1 night/day stay in SA to regions I have not yet discovered. Today had me Starting in Ballarat and finishing in Naracoorte. A lot of great little towns and it was awesome seeing the Grampians up so close.
27 caches today incl 1 Wherigo.
#10 - Not what I expected here. I thought small sistema in guard rail but I was quite wrong. A careful hike down the hill and I spotted the cache. Signed and replaced and of course a much easier route to exit.
Thanks Nards_Nuggles

Since moving from New Zealand in 2016 I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T all multiple times.
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go to is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
I enjoy finding well maintained caches in fun and unique cache containers. No one likes finding a mint tin – but a find is a find after all.
Well she was an American girl
Raised on promises
She couldn't help thinkin' that there
Was a little more to life
Somewhere else
After all it was a great big world
With lots of places to run to
Yeah, an d if she had to die
Tryin' she had one little promise
She was gonna keep
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
It was kind of cold that night
She stood alone on her balcony
She could the cars roll by
Out on 441
Like waves crashin' in the beach
And for one desperate moment there
He crept back in her memory
God it's so painful
Something that's so close
And still so far out of reach
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl

After a sleep in after a 12 hour night shift, I jumped into the car and head off to the Grampians for the weekend.
A bit of a break at Ararat broke up the trip nicely.
Local history of an area is ale=ways interesting as there is rarely any ruins or signs that suggest there was anything there.
The main road was quite busy with trucks, but this side road was quiet.
An unexpected cache container.
Thanks, Robmc.

Found on a three day caching wander with AussieM&M!!!! We centred our searches in the Ararat area but ventured further afield when some of our planned caches were either disabled or on very slushy dirt roads. Very cold and plenty of rain ….. although we seemed to dodge the worse of it!!! Nice hide ,,,, certainly a waterproof container!!
Found It.....After finishing up training early i decided to collect a few caches while on my drive home. After pulling up i slipped and fell down the bank and all while using my brand new work phone as my gps. After picking myself up and dusting myself off i wandered over to G.Z. where a quick search soon revealed the cache and with the log signed i continued my journey homeward. Thanks Nards_Nuggles for the cache

Cold, wet and windy weather was not a sufficient deterrent to keep us from a day's caching in and around Ararat today.
Thanks for an interesting history lesson.
**Feedback to CO:** This popular cache is in need of a fresh log sheet please.
