While I did this one gradually over a period of time, I imagine that it would be one hell of an adventure to do on the one day! Using the railway distance codes is a clever thing to incorporate into the multi, and there were certainly many calculations involved.And of course, discovering the location of the GZ was enough to make anyone loopy.Calling the cache a small is somewhat underselling it as well, and I'm surprised the whole length of it fit inside its hiding spot. Brilliantly crafted, TFTC!(Logged under my previous username, 'hjckrau'.)
We have been collecting the info for this one some time after work detours and meeting detours today was the day to finally finish this one off at GZ we made a very quick .Thanks Calypso62 for placing this cache GC5XNRJ
The Booos did all the work for this one I just tagged along today for a find TFTC
persistence has paid off. this would be my 3rd visit, the 1st wp1 was missing, the 2nd i got the coords for wp3, but had to bail. today starting there, with more movements, train changes, line changes, pkatform searching, and a few sneaky grabs along the way, i succeeded in finding and manipulating the numbers to arrive at a familiar location. zeroing in on gz, i had to laugh at the final location, as i think i was expecting a little more grandeur. a PF had jokingly made a statement to myself about this cache, which has come to fruition. another well made and concealed cache which is fitting for the enormity of travel. i actually put togethor a spreadsheet that i could plug the numbers into, giving me the next wp coords, removing any errors that my "out in the field" brain seems apt to do lately, and with so many calculations it was scary but pleasing and exciting when each next wp revealed itself. raving a bit here, so i shall award a fav, and TFTC.
When the rain set in yesterday morning and was forecast to continue right through today, I started looking around for something that could be done without getting too wet and this caught my eye. Even though it looked pretty dry this morning, I still went ahead, catching the 10:14 train from Woy Woy to Hornsby to begin my training.After a quick find of the first clue at the listed coordinates, I wandered down the road to grab an early lunch before returning to the station to begin my rail adventure proper. All the calculated coordinates were pretty much spot on and I had no trouble unambiguously identifying the correct stanchion. WP4 was a bit unexpected, though, and I hadn't checked for possible trackwork there before leaving home, but luckily there wasn't any.So a few hours later and with the circuit completed, I arrived at GZ where a typical C62 cache awaited my signature. Everything is in good nick. With the log signed and everything put back, I made my way back to the station where I only had a few minutes to wait for an express train back home. Many thanks, and an FP of course, for an excellent multi that nicely filled in a bleak, if not wet, day.
Well this find has been a long time coming. I have been coming down from Newcastle on the train targeting caches along the rail lines just doing a few suburbs at a time. Finally I get to the final . Back on the train to grab the prize before the big wet hits. Got all the way to GZ and the skies opened up. I'm glad I got to finish it as my gym membership was about to expire. Have really loved doing this multi taking my time . TFTC Calypso62. A fav for me.
The information required to locate Wp2 has been placed at the published coordinates. The hint for the published coordinates has also been updated.
This one definitely needs a check. Might think about a different approach to supply the coordinates.
No joy at wp1. But that does not mean it's not there. Probably another devilish hide from the CO. Lucky I only wanted this one and continue on another Adventure Sunday.
After our recent DNF at WP1, the CO kindly supplied the WP2 coords. Today, we managed to complete the course whilst actually catching trains. Much easier than trying to drive through the traffic. In fact it is quite a pleasant way to explore suburbs that we have never visited before. TFTC Calypso62

A fun day, going around with the CEO, Techsavvy9, and mighty minions. And eventually-EVENTUALLY- we found it. Have not done one like this before but very happy to do another one like it. Worth a fave. FTC
WOW WOW WOW what a wonderful day to celebrate my 3000th find with Claypso62, 2Pods and Mighty Minions. I wanted to do one of Calypso's caches as my milestone out of respect for him as he does so much in the geocaching field and always makes sure we are all happy and safe. I thought I was going to have to do some circuit training on equipment but luckily that didn't have to happen. We started off at the marked coordinates and after the next waypoint learned how to quickly find the numbers required. It was a beautiful sunny day, had lots of laughs and a few serious moments ( I think) and found several other caches in-between doing Circuit Training. I've given a favourite( in my found it log) for the experience which was different to any other multi I have done and for the final cache. We all want to do more of Calypso"s multis as they are a lot of fun. A huge thank you Calypso. Now to have my second well earned beer since arriving home in the Hunter Valley.
Well sometimes the stars align to create the perfect memory day, today was one of those days. last week 2pods and I had arranged to do this cache today, we planned to not have a plan and just let the multi take us to the destinations and find whatever bonus caches we could along the way. Yesterday techsavvy9 mentioned she was also doing this cache today at the same time as us and catching the same train as us, techsavvy9 was doing it With Calypso62 to celebrate her 3000th find, so we decided to team up together to do it and we were very glad we did because we had loads of laughs and a really great day. After meeting at various stops along the way we arrived at Hornsby to meet up with Calypso62 , then after a chat over coffee and a milkshake we started our adventure. Waypoint 1 information was gained quickly, and we were of, we had our first practice run which didn't go quite to plan but the next one worked, and we gained confidence. We saw some cool locations, found some bonus caches, had a nice lunch, didn't see any killer chickens but there was a pretty scary revolving door. We had loads of laughs and a truly memorable day. Then we made it to the final location which fittingly techsavvy9 made the actual cache find for, a perfect end to the day. Thanks for the great cache Calypso62 tnln replaced as found sl

After getting our Ticket Of Leave a few weeks ago, we were free to set out to Hornsby and attempt several Calypso62 multi's and a few unfound caches. The first stage of this cache was quickly found after searching near the third type of rail before checking other spots. Rode to Waypoint 2, exited the train and quickly spotted the needed numbers. Decided to go to the next station without getting off the train as is seemed possible and trains were running only every 15 minutes. Searched for a nearby Sidetracked cache as well as a different cache by the CO, before going back the station and catching a train to WP3, where the numbers were seen without getting off. Soon the circuit training had been complete and the final coordinates seemed to fit. Off to GZ where the find was soon made with the hint. A great container and construction to end this wonderful adventure! Log signed and cache replaced. Now to the nearby shops to get some deserved food. TFTC Calypso62, as always a fabulous multi. Another FP added to the tally.
Unfortunately due to weather, a planned cache day had to be cancelled. Not to worry though - found coords for wp2 for this multi a few months back and filed it away as a ‘backup’ cache to save for a rainy day!

Now that the NSW Government is beginning to ease lockdown restrictions, it’s time to bring my caches back into play.
Just a reminder, a fundamental rule of geocaching is that, in order to be able to log a cache find online, you must retrieve the cache container and sign the physical log located in that container. Failure to comply may result in your online log being removed.
I know the Covid virus is still about so please take precautions to keep yourself and those around you from harm by doing things such as wearing gloves to handle geocaches as well as using hand sanitiser regularly.

The Covid situation in Greater Sydney is still critical. As a result, this cache remains disabled for the time being. I'm monitoring the situation and will bring the cache back online when appropriate to do so.
To help stop the spread of Covid-19, the NSW Government has ordered everybody to stay at home unless you are: shopping for essentials, receiving medical care, exercising or travelling to work or education.
While some people would regard going geocaching as a form of exercise, it is my personal opinion that this activity is a non-essential one, perhaps involving unnecessary travel and therefore should not be undertaken during this time of crisis.

Tftc, Azzepious and I had taken turns grabbing WP info over the last few months. We solved the final WP the other day and chose today to grab it to assist with Azzepious' streak. Great cache!
Having to come to Hornsby, I decided to finish today what I started some time ago. I'm happy to finally be able to tick this one off. Very neat and accurate. Great camo !

After many months of collecting the necessary data, but then months of avoiding public transport, I returned today as part of a Hornsby cache raid and found the ingenious hide.

Today we headed out for some shopping and to complete a couple of long MultiCaches that we have been slowly working on, plus a couple of bonus Traditionals that were close to our intended route. This was the 4th of 4 finds for the day.
Well this one has taken us a while to complete, starting back in March and slowly visiting the various waypoints as we travelled around Sydney's vast railway network during our regular caching adventures. Picked up the final waypoint last Sunday, while heading out to Dural for the Amateur Radio NSW (HAM Radio) bi-monthly Trash & Treasure sale & BBQ, and so added the cache's final GZ to our cache target list for today.
Arrived at final GZ and made a quick find of a classic C62 stash. Signed & stamped the logbook, TNLN, then replaced the nicely camoed cache container as it had been found. Thanks Calypso62 for the fun railway adventures & cache, which gets a Favourite point from us.

I headed to WP1 about 6 months ago, but came away with nothing except dirty hands. Not too long after that I saw a note from the CO saying that WP1 has wandered and officially been moved, so I had another go and came away with something more useful this time. A few weeks later I found myself catching the train from my local station, which happened to be WP2, and I collected what I needed there & saw where I needed to go, but it was not for another few weeks that I was on the train again and able to visit a few more waypoints. By this point I was getting good at collecting the required info without jumping off the train, which sped things up a bit.
That was a whole month ago, and today I finally had an opportunity to get back out and finish it. I started at WP5, and it wasn’t too long before I had GZ coords and knew where I was heading. I had quite a chuckle to myself when I realised the location. Got to GZ and had a good idea where to look and quickly had CIH. Signed the log & returned it, trying to make sure no muggles we’re watching - lots of vantage points around!

I've looked at this multi for a while with a steely-eyed stare, baulking at it. It looked like it needed the energy of a long distance athlete, the arcane transport knowledge of my In House Barista /Travel Adviser (yeah you, Setrite!), the luck of the Irish and the well-honed observation skills of Other Geocachers.
BUT in the light of my enthusiastic enjoyment of Mr Calypso's McFerryFace caper, and having joyfully gained my Ticket of Leave from Governor Macquarie, I decided to give this one a go today. Maybe just do the first couple of waypoints this time, re-charge, and come back later... that worked for me with the other two.
Starting at North Sydney station at 8:30am, I trained up to Hornsby - but got SideTracked - and detoured via Mount Kuring-gai.
There's nothing like a Smiley Face to give one confidence. So back at Hornsby, I strode to the Posted Co-ordinates ... and.. searched and searched... and searched.. Oh dear. This did not bode well. Searched and searched. THEN suddenly FOUND. In the very place I'd first looked... GEESCH. 10am.
Right!! Ok Back to the train. I've read some logs where people found the correct stauntions, did the calculations etc etc without ever getting off the train. Not so for me. I got off every single time. Left the station after I think the third waypoint to snarf down a much needed coffee. Onward.... A couple of waypoints further on, I needed my In House Travel Adviser badly. Mr Google was a poor substitute. But I sort of remembered which line I needed to be on, and also worked out where to stop for food. Onward.
By this stage, I recalled what a Circuit actually means. I also realised that I could do this. And in one go. Each calculation gave me co-ordinates of a logical next step. A check on my usual misguided creativity. And I was going to finish this today by hook or by crook...
By mid-afternoon I was at GZ. Very busy. There's a pub nearby and on Anzac Day afternoon some people had been there a while..
A little ingenuity was required in extracting what needed to be extracted from where it needed to be extracted from
BUT I WON MY MEDAL !!!!!!

I checked on the information I put at the published coordinates and found that it had crept from the original location I placed it at. I've decided to move it completely to the western end of the bridge. Hopefully, it will be a bit easier to find.

Despite today’s very wet weather we decided to head up the North Shore rail line, taking advantage of the cheap Sunday $2.70 per head capped Opal Card fares, to visit a couple of caches in the SideTracked series. Also started our “Circuit Training”, with a couple of waypoints visited for the Circuit Training MultiCache. A total of 2 finds, plus 2 waypoints, for the day.

Fantastic multi! My son and I got the first part and then I picked up the rest by taking a different and circuitous way too and from work, with a little side excursion at lunchtime. I was rejoined by my son who made the find. A really clever container too. TFTC.
I found the start and the cache container with dad. He did some of the bits in between. TFTC.
Well what an adventure this was! Done over two weekends. After attending the agm this morning and having a brief catch up with calypso62 we decided to continue with this super fun orange one. Travelled around and alas here we are at gz. That's fantastic you always manage to put a smile on our dials. Does this get a fave? Of course it does, great way to end the day and weekend.
So much fun had doing this one. Never fail to amaze us calypso. Very well done. Completed over 2 weekends. Definatley worth a fav point and great way to finish our weekend TFTC
This cache involved quite a journey. Make that 2 journeys! Sandysa had gathered WP1 already, so we started from WP2 last weekend. We jumped off the train at each point to grab the info and another nearby cache. We decided to complete the cache another day when one of the WPs had us nearby a famous Portugese chicken shop and not far from home. The perfect spot to end our day!
Today, we picked up where we left off although it was slow going with the trackwork going on. A few more stops, with a few more nearby geocaches and we were at GZ. The well constructed and well earned cache was soon found! Woo! Thanks for putting this one together! Well worth a favourite point! I did end up going back to get WP1 myself to recharge my caching karma.

Another interesting and well thought out cache from Calypso62.
I grabbed the info from wp1 a few months ago. However didn't get a chance to make a trip till last Sunday. Anominous Sign and I took advantage of the cheap Sunday fare and warm winter sun. We made a few delightful stops and collected information as we go. However it was a long way to wp4. By the time we get there it was late afternoon and we haven't had any food. The nearby burger place is one of our favourites, so we decided to stop for the training.
Today we have our eyes on the cache again. Didn't realise the major track work was going on, we add a few extra stops and a fair bit of delays along the way. Finally we made to the GZ. And the reward is high. It was another well thought out and constructed cache! Thanks so much for the cache. We had a lot fun training!

I started this yesterday by finding the first WP. Crunched the numbers and was a little surprised at the location of WP2. Really? Ahhh!!! Soon realised why the name of the cache and what it would entail so on the way home drove to WP2 which was the transport hub of my youth, to get the relevant numbers. WP3 was closer to home so decided I would look into this today. With a number of Fifa WC podcasts I needed to catch up on and being school holidays, thought I would continue by car. I know it's not in the spirit of the cache but still enjoyed the journey. After completing the circuit, had no trouble extracting the cache and signing the log. Will probably regret not getting the Opal card out but still appreciate the effort and functionality of the adventure. TFTC and yet another FP to the CO.

Having made sure my gym membership was topped up, my trainer (oldmorty) and I travelled to Hornsby expecting a long and rigorous workout. After parking the car we headed off, at a brisk pace, to WP1 where we found instructions to WP2 of the circuit.
Noticing that we needed to descend stairs, a cry came from behind. “Ok, I want some stair runs and when you’ve finished, I’ll meet you at the bottom”. Fortunately for me, as I approached the bottom of the stairs, the train arrived. (Having read some of the previous logs about possibly being able to stay on the train, we worked out which carriage to sit in to get the best view of the details needed for our calculations.) After hopping on the train, and a few lunge jumps through the carriages, I found my seat.
(As we approached WP2 we were apprehensive that we might miss the girder. But we had no trouble at all noting the information required. Then panic set in. What if the co-ordinates turned out to be the next stop and we hadn’t finished our calculations.) We’d better get off. So off we jumped and made our way to one of the benches to complete the sums for WP3. “Nice bench, how about a few triceps dips”, came from the trainer. “One, two, three, ….”
(It turned out that we needn’t have departed the train as soon as we did, as we still had a way to go before the next lot of girder information.) So, back on the train and back to our seats. "No-one in the carriage, how about a few press-ups?"
As we approached WP3, we got ready to read the information from the girder as we went by. Success! And with plenty of time to calculate WP4, I settled down to a few stretches.
Suddenly there was a cry from the trainer, “Oh no”, says oldmorty, “We’re on the wrong circuit. We’ll never get back.” With a quick change of trains, we were back on track, and on our way to WP4 where we quickly grabbed the next lot of numbers and calculated coordinates for WP5.
Noting that we would have to change trains again, we agreed to alight and seek some refreshment before continuing.
Fully refreshed, we boarded the train and headed towards WP5. The trainer and I discussed the situation and decided that I’d done enough exercise, and as we still had a lot of other caches to find, I could sit back to enjoy the view.
We collected information at WP5 and WP6 and calculated the whereabouts of GZ. After alighting the train, and a quick sprint up the stairs, I made directly towards GZ. Oldmorty had to hold me back and suggested we look for a crossing as he needed me alive to help with other caches he had on his list for the day. We found the cache and oldmorty and I sat on the curb to sign the log. Nicely made cache. Thanks Calypso62. Favourite point from me.

Well today’s the day and what a day it was. frazeydaze after success with the CO’s cache “At The Governor’s Pleasure” earlier in the year has been planning a further assault on a number of the CO’s multi’s on the upper north shore; namely, Circuit Training, Meggsie’s Mural, The Rock Star, Stayin’ Alive and Where’s the KABOOM.
In preparation, yesterday morning frazeydaze handed me a handful of printed matter that she said would help me in my quest tomorrow. I clearly needed a clipboard to contain the matter and something firm to fill in the necessary answers after working out the maths. I don’t own a clipboard so it was off to Office Works. It will probably come in handy as an assault on a bag of mystery caches at Helensburgh is in the planning stages.
Living in the south-eastern suburbs an early start was required an upon arrival at Hornsby, an area I’m familiar with having lived in Turramurra for twenty years, we found a parking spot on Jersey Street and then headed for the published coordinates. frazeydaze was all over this, saying you have a cache like this, and we were soon heading off to the station platform to begin the circuit training at 9.55am precisely. She with her workday opal card at the ready and wondering how much it was going to cost and me with the $2.50 seniors version.
We didn’t have long to wait for a train and were on our way wondering where we would go before arriving (hopefully) back at Hornsby. At WP2 we collected the necessary information and each began the necessary calculations, me on my new clipboard, she on the iPad. We had barely left the station when the panic started, “we’ll have to get off at the next station, I cannot connect to the Geo app, I can’t to the calcs, we might miss some information at the next station”. So off we got and while waiting for the next train, calmly did the calcs sitting in the sun on this lovely Father’s Day.
The required information was obtained at WP3 and the calcs done on the train. This is not so difficult after all and the train was heading in the right direction in accordance with our calcs. Oops. Train announcement “this train only stops at so and so”. Shock horror, more panic, “we’ll have to get off at the next station and catch a more suitable train”, so off we got and caught a train that stops at so and so and enabled us to get the WP4 details on the way through.
Phew WP5 was a scheduled stop and before boarding a new train oldmorty had time to leave the platform, see I can do this with my opal card and not incur any additional fees, and purchase a much needed coffee, while frazeydaze waited on the platform.
On boarding our new train, the information obtained from WP5 was digested and to the relief of frazeydaze we appeared to be heading in the right direction to obtain the next bit of information from WP6. Hooray we must be homeward bound, which was good as we were starting to feel a little peckish.
After alighting from the train at journey’s end we were soon at GZ with frazeydaze making the grab at 12.55pm, taking us just three hours to complete. In my excitement, I dated the log 2018 which would have made it a very long journey for $2.50. Bye the way frazeydaze’s opal card had $1.71 deducted from it so it’s her shout for lunch. TFTC Calypso 62 and the fun morning riding the rail network with frazeydaze which I must say is much improved since my last time on the trains. A fav point from me also. Now where is Master Meggs.

Considering that I do all my caching by public transport (except when I can nag geohubby to drive me) this cache sounded right up my alley.
Rewind to 18th May when I arrived at WP1 and had probably the most embarrassing DNF experience......I couldn't find the WP and I couldn't even see thing mentioned in the hint.

We picked up the first numbers at Hornsby a couple of months ago and have been waiting for a free Sunday to do this one as it will only cost $2.50. All day. Off to our next stop.trying to make these numbers work was not possible so we alighted and returned to get the correct numbers. These worked a treat and now we knew want we were doing and new cords could be calculated quickly. We had one detour to look at were my sister lived 60 years ago. A nice rest in a nice coffee shop. Picked up another geo and back to the train journey. The next few we were able to pick up without getting off the train.A great day all round. Oh and the cache was very clever. Gets a favourite from me.
Well today was the day to do some circuit training. Went out with dlturner and kazzacosmo in hope we could keep to our target of over 10,000 steps and around 8km of walking. We had the co ords for WP1 which we got a few months ago so we headed straight to WP2 to start our training for the day. Well we got a bit muddle with our steps so after backtracking we had the training down pat. So of to the next points of the circuit. Did a detour for a coffee and to see where our eldest sister grew up. A little bit of history thrown in with this training. Now back to it of to the next one. Had completed our training so of for the reward. Yeah got it. This is definitely a favourite one.
A great day all round finding clues was easy once we knew what to expect and where to sit had a minor detour to show my sisters where I once lived 60years ago believe it or not it was still standing did a bit of reminiscing around .then went on with our mission in hand geoing

First I had to pass the entry exam at WP1. Carefully visually inspecting the object did not gave me the required result, so I turned to touch. And then I felt a small object with the location I had to check in for the circuit training.
After checking in at 1:35pm I waited for the circuit training to commence, I familiarised myself with the format of the clues required to be collected during the training in order to complete the circuit training successfully. At least I could do without my reading glasses [:o)].
At WP2 I found the clue and after calculating WP3 I had to wait 15 minutes before I could continue my training. To fill the time I dashed off to another nearby cache which was found in time.
Again at WP3 I temporarily paused my training to find the next clue. I now got the idea what circuit the CO had in mind. As I was underway for quite some time now, I decided to tap out and tap in. Cost of the training session so far: $2.94
The next training session to WP4 was definitely advanced level as it required a transit mid-way. While transiting I ensured I was in the right position in order to spot the next clue without the need to get out. That technique worked like a charm!
For the next training session I needed to change again. But at WP4 there were so many school children joining the training session that I got so distracted and got off too soon, losing another valuable 20 minutes as I could only change at the next stop. After correcting the error I practiced the drive-by technique again at WP5.
Another change required halfway WP5 and WP6 and I decided to check out and checking again. $0.00 was charged to my card.
For WP6 I was now fully trained in the drive-by technique and I continued to GZ for completion of my circuit training. The small walk to GZ was enjoyable and I was pleased to find a cleverly hidden cache. I added my name to the book of honour and took a travel bug.

I've always been a fan of circuit training so finally gave this one a go (in 2 parts), noting the fav points already in existence would now earn me a souvenir. I read about 150 pages of my book & undertook 5 different types of training (you can do it in 4, I stopped in the middle of 1), but including getting there & back, 9 different types of training!
Rewind to Thursday, when I finished work early. I did 2 training sessions before winding up at GZ. I suspected what I was looking for and felt around carefully (or so I thought), until I felt it - & then didn't. Crap! I'd dropped it! I was petrified to look for it, nervous that it had dropped way too far.... Eventually I got up the courage (which is always a part of my circuit training it seems), had a look, & there it was. Phew! Now, how to get it. Oh yes, another regular feature of my circuit training - being a contortionist! Retrieved, placed back carefully & on to the next training session - commencing in 13mins, plenty of time.
I was forward planning & paying attention to the intricate details required to do this training session, & was surprised to make it to WPs 2 & 3 without any intervals in my training! Sweet! Imagine my surprise at WP3 when I managed to be only 7m away, I am NEVER that lucky. All that previous circuit training must be starting to show - they say it gives you results!
Eventually it was time to mix it up (they say that's the best thing about circuit training, mixing it up, variety & all that). I had a 5 min rest break before the next session. Again, attention to detail & I was extremely close to WP4 at only 3m, again not having to break up my training session, persistence pays off!
I decided I was going to take a break after this training session, & swap for one that took me home. Imagine my surprise when I realised the next WP was close to my destination, & oh I was tempted, especially when I only had a 2 min rest period between training sessions this time. I behaved, & after only a half hour training session, took that 2 min rest period then undertook the first 5 minutes or so of the next training session (having now read about 100 pages of my book), before tapping out (or off...). It was now that I thought I knew what the CO was doing with this circuit training...........
I've been thinking about it ever since, including this morning when I woke up early. Looked up the training timetable & thought bugger it, let's go.
I had a 15 min walk to the training session so timed it perfectly, and was only 5 minutes (& 2 pages of my book) into the next training session when again attention to detail meant I didn't have to break up this training session either to wind up only 7m from the required info.
Undertaking the required calculations reinforced my previous suspicions about where this circuit training was headed, & after only a couple of minutes it was time to mix up the training, get down low & go go go. I had a 4 min rest period before commencing the next training session, & again, attention to detail found me (3 pages later) about 9m from WP6. I'm getting good at this!
Calculations now confirmed my suspicions! About 10 mins later (& 10 pages later), I was close enough to GZ to finish my training & cool down with a walk on a beautiful sunny winter's morning. Within a couple of metres of GZ, spotted a likely hidey hole, only to discover my silver medal! Yes! I'd completed the circuit training successfully.
I left a new TB to make its way to Canada to see a friend. I also took a photo of myself with the cache & sent it to the CO, who promptly called me back & congratulated me on my circuit training session.

I started with the initial WP and then managed to get the next WP soon after. But then I had to wait until I was able to get to the next few, so weeks went by. Found today after a long trip around the Sydney Northern Rail System.
What a beauty.
There was a little bit of difficulty at waypoint one when we thought something else was the key to the cache.
That sorted out and with the help of Google Earth it was a reasonable trip around the Sydney rail network, working out one waypoint after another.
Although at the cache itself the accurate coordinates made it very easy to find, we enjoyed the preparation put into this cache and the whole experience.
We gave it a favourite point.
Having taken nothing and left nothing and signing the log, headed home after a good half day's experience.

I have a bit of a beef about Opal. Living in Gladesville, to get to work I need to catch a bus then a train. Under the old paper ticket system, I bought a weekly which was $20 cheaper! So I ended up buying a car, which is cheaper and it is much quicker too (as long as you leave early like me.)
But I had to set aside my concerns about public transport in this city in order to virtually visit many stations on the City Rail network. And I am glad I made the effort, as I got to witness another superbly camouflaged container from C62. It is even fashioned to make retrieval simple, how considerate!

"Found It" log from username **zelerhac** has been deleted as there is no signature in the logbook of the cache indicating the cache has not been found by this user.
This cache has been squarely on the radar since its publication - intriguing and outside the box, just my kind of thing... But the difficulty of my "school mum" time restrictions, and the potential cost for me, a standard Adult traveller who hadn't yet bothered to get an Opal card, put me off slightly (needlessly, as it turns out) and so the training waited...but I knew Opa-Shrek's training feet were getting itchy (as a retired "excursion" traveller, he didn't have the same constraints as me), so with a free day looming at the tail end of the school holidays, I bit the bullet(train), acquired an Opal card and said "let's go".
Meeting up this morning, we travelled via our usual method to Hornsby (mostly so we could grab a few other caches on the way home) and started our journey - OpaShrek had previously passed by for the first lot if instructions, so we knew where we were headed, and had timed our arrival well.
Training commenced sharply at 9.26am, and with little effort we made our way to WP2, easily grabbing what we needed there, so continued on without delay. We continued on our journey, discussing the networks as we did, and enjoying the surprise in store as we calculated each of our next waypoints. We continued to time our journey well, resulting in surprisingly few breaks, and were soon headed for our final destination. As we departed the final station, I delighted in my ability to seeming "trick" the system with our travels, and surprising myself, tapping off the circuit at 11.33, at a total cost of $2.48!
Onto GZ we headed, chuckling at the natural location we had resolved, and makeing a quick find once there. Dropped in a geocoin that wants to go to California, and signed the attendance book.
Total time for our training circuit today - 2.5hrs.
Cost - $2.58 (train, less for the pensioner) + $4.50 (coffee)
Experience - priceless

I'm probably showing my age here but ... Ah [s]Magoo[/s]Calypso, you've done it again ... another beautifully put together, and very different, multi that we had a ball doing today!
This multi captured my attention soon after it was published and it's been on my priority to do list (as opposed to my 'to do sometime' list) ever since then. It's taken a while, however, to get to it because, unlike me, who is a man of leisure and able to hop on a train for a joyride anytime I please (and, even better, for no more than $2.50), my caching buddy, Mumma-Kel, has a busy life. But today, our stars were in alignment and we were finally in a position to be able to head down to Hornsby together to tackle it.
Our circuit of the Sydney train network was great fun and, from go to whoa, it took us just a little over 2 hours to complete ... we tapped on at Hornsby station at 9:20 to get the 9:26 service to WP2, and tapped off at WP7 just after 11:30am. We visited stations I had passed through but never stopped at before (in my working life, I avoided 'all stations' trains at all costs). We had a really good run ... we managed to get what was needed at each waypoint without alighting from the train we were on, and the longest we had to wait when we had to change trains was 11 minutes. And thanks to the peculiarities of the opal card system, that 11 minute stop, which gave us the chance to duck out of station (tapping off and then back on in the process) saved us money ... in my case, instead of $2.50, our 2 hour train trip ended up costing me just $1.47, while Mumma-Kel did the trip for the bargain basement price of $2.57, I think.
Then, to top off the trip, we were presented with what is probably the best camo I have seen used in this type of very common hiding spot ... I tip my hat to your creativity C62. Having admired its originality, I then added my name to the train roster and took the opportunity also to drop off a 'Flag Of Australia' TB that has been with me for far far too long.

Lucky for us that Qld Rail was in operation today to get us started. Nice day out with geoWife and one of the geoKids. Took approx 3 hrs with a break for lunch. Able to collect clues without disembarking. Very well cammo'd container. Thanks for another grand adventure C62
This, along with Wise Guys, has been my closest unfound cache since it was published. Some weeks ago I walked to WP1 one morning to get a start. Later that week I drove to WP2 and got that info. A week later I had to so somewhere by train and managed to get the WP3 info as I passed. Today I came back from somewhere and took a detour via WP4 which ended up not being too much of a detour as I could also pick up WP5 and WP6 on the way home. Assembled all the info while still on the train but went home first before driving to GZ and parking not all that far away.
Walked back and forth around GZ and checking a number of typical C62 hiding spots but after a lot of searching I was at the point of a PAF. I resisted this and expanded my search a bit and spotted the camo straight away, strangely it was the same as the first place I looked but not the same spot. Signed and replaced. Another one eliminated from the radius!

When this one came out I had a look and couldn't make much sense of the equations then put it aside for a rainy day. Well it was raining today and we had plans for Hornsby shops, so had another look and soon after managed to come up some numbers that made sense.
After parking we wandered over to the final and quickly spied a very well made object in a spot that matched the theme. Happy to sign the log sheet without having to dig out an opal.

I always love a good multi-cache, especially one's crafted by Calypso62, and this one certainly didn't disappoint! It has taken multiple trips over several weeks to complete the "circuit" since quite a number of the waypoints were outside my regular commute, however I was finally able to complete the multi and obtain coords to the final a couple of weeks ago.
I'd saved the best until today, being in the area for my geoson's 6th birthday party at a local slot-car track. After the festivities and just before heading home, I took the geofamily on a slight detour to find the cache. No trouble locating the well designed and constructed container. Log signed, swaps made, and back in the car heading home. To be quite honest, I do prefer commuting by train rather than car, except when I can't get a seat! Thanks for another well thought-out and executed cache Calypso62, definitely worthy of a favourite point!

After WP2, I didn't quite understand the maths until after I contacted a previous finder. Oh, that's what you need to do. Don't know why I didn't work that out.
Today I was able to pick up the last two waypoints and of course it's circuit training.
Parked close to GZ, being an effortless find too. Like the work on the container, as expected on a Calypso hide. An unusual type of multi, as it's quicker and easier to take public transport, let alone cheaper.
