After pulling weeds, drinking a cuppa in caching company, visiting a new LGA or two and learning about dinosaurs it was time to return to the island I had a good run with the traffic as the big race had finished and everyone was heading home. I picked up my muggle mate and instead of joining the long line of mass exiting vehicles we headed to the coastline and took a walk.We got to see all sorts of critters on our walk and found a cache TFTC Gonefishen07Keep smiling
Today, Tiz13 and I embarked on a caching expedition to Phillip Island and Wonthaggi. The weather was perfect even though the wind was a little chilly. This is one of the caches found today. A nice walk and a great view. Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache.
We were on our way to find an earth cache that Snips and Co was targetting and I was distracted by the new construction buildings and dreaming about a home with this stunning view or perhaps sneaking in to what looked like a new resort being built and mesmerized by the stunning coastal views.Today was spectacular in a sunny winter's sun.. I had no idea there was a geocache here until RoamingHowie pointed it out!Well this cache is very appropriately titled and a lovely start to our weekend trip and introduction to the island.
I had arrived in Phillip Island and met up with my co-conspirators for the weekend, Snips and Co and Kristysadventures. The nearby earthcache was on the hit list so we took a stroll during the lovely afternoon sun and stopped in to grab this hide along the walk.I spotted this one relatively quickly and our names were added to the log.A big thanks goes to Gonefishen07 for taking the time to add What a Stunning View! to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Are you ready for Victorias next big event?Join us for Victorias first ever *Block Party* to celebrate 25 years of geocaching.**When:** March 22 - 23, 2025**Where:** Hume Global Learning Centre, SunburyLog your will attend at [**GCAP417: The Sunbury Event** ](https://coord.info/GCAP417) Visit our [**Block Party website** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/the-sunbury-event) for more details on the exciting lineup of events and activities as they are released!
Out and about with Kristys Adventures and Roaming Howie this was the first for the day. Fantastic coastal walk in brilliant sunshine with views you need to see to believe. A quick find on our way to the ochre cliffs. Thanks Gonefishen07
Stunning views indeed - and stunning real estate too! The planets aligned and a spontaneous decision to head down to the Island for some sea breeze, ozone and coastal vistas on a free day AND of course caching (or casheering as dear mum would say) transpired. This great hobby is such an invitation to explore aspects of any location and the ISLAND has plenty of that. Quick find at GZ with a good hint. TFTc and the FUN.
Decided to leave others and go walking, something I haven’t done much of as of late. Absolutely worth the short walk from a pyramid Rock car park. Cache in great condition and easily found.

Certainly some great view around here so thanks for putting caches out to help us see all the different places. Nice easy find.

This was the first place we visited upon arriving at Phillip Island and my, it sure made us glad we'd come here! It was drizzly when we started the hike, but then the sun came out just about when we reached this cache. Good thing Akiva had it on his app somehow I hadn't loaded it into my GPS. After we found it we drove into town and found a great place for lunch! Thanks for placing.
Out on lovely day on the island wasnt windy for a change , decided to grab a couple of isolated caches Good fun exploring these areas
Out for another walk today whilst holidaying on Phillip Island, another great day weather wise and yes another stunning view.
After admiring the view I searched for the cache which was hidden in the only feature nearby

Stopped by to drop off a TB and picked up the one that’s been here since Feb. Very windy. A little bit of sun. A hint of rainbow. No whales (that I could see).
FTF Hounding might have brought me down to The Island, but I've had a list of a number of geocaches that I have wanted to get here. So the plan is to go for the FTF, collect a few other interesting caches while waiting for the tide to go out, and then grab some low tide only caches.
Signed the log book at 9.30 am after a lovely stroll from Pyramid Rock. Lots of Wallabies around too.
Thanks for the cache Gone Fishen 07

Checking on my nearby cache, fixed it up and then saw this one not too long a walk away. It was still raining but I decided to press on, as I could see the bluff in the distance and it looked great. Rain cleared up and there were wallabies everywhere, poking their heads over the long grass - the view also cleared for a great photo with the parting clouds. An easy find on the cache itself, and a favourite from me. Thanks.
Last day of our PI holiday today - I still want/need to find more caches! A beautiful morning, and I found some great caches in brilliant locations! Quick find here, TFTC!
Blustery morning, but sun was up which meant I was out for a walk along some beautiful coastline and came across this treasure. I wonder if there is an interesting story about where this pen came from….

A quick find here, but what a STUNNING view! Favourite point added for this amazing location with a nice sized cache. Thanks for the cache Gonefishen07.

A quick find for me today after completing the nearby earthcache. Very windy, but would be worse if it was a southerly! Cheers.
Kinda easy but it was very nice to look at the ocean but didn’t see a whale sad but beautiful good spot
Found on a hike near Pyramid Rock. Sadly no whales today but glorious weather and a few wallabies. TFTC
What else do you do when there are severe wind warnings? Walk out to this lookout of course and find the cache!! Very windy day today, but found the cache, signed the log and blow back to the car! TFTC
After watching a beautiful moon set and an okay sunrise, we packed up the holiday house and headed out to find the only cache we had left in the Cowes area. After success there, it was off to Cowes Jetty Market and then we met up with surefoot24 for Morning Tea at a quiet little cafe a bit out of town. After a great chat we then headed to this cache. It was a lovely walk out to the lookout. I was glad of my hat though!! The cache was found and logged by GMelb whilst I headed straight for the look out and yes I agree, it is a stunning view and the colour of the water was magical!! See attached photos

Dejavu asked in out Geo Nerd group if anyone wanted to come along on a caching run today and as I was doing nothing so I was in. We headed for Inverloch and then Phillip island to grab some D/T rating they needed
We grabbed this on our way past, was very windy but the views are spectacular.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache

Our mission today was to collect several caches towards our almost complete D/T grid. Hoping for the weather to be on our side we set off early to fit in several long walks, low tides and what we anticipated would be lengthy searches. This cache was on the track on our way to an Earthcache we were targeting and was found after a quick search. It was windy but well worth it for the amazing view.
Thank you for highlighting this area with your cache.

I stopped off during my run and made a quick find. It's very nice up here. TFTC!
Quick grab and yes, there is lots of wildlife around - fortunately no snakes though.
In the morning we went to Berrys Beach carpark and walked towards east. 2.9 km sounds like an easy trail Indeed, it was - but only in one direction. It was a stormy day, and on the way back it was raining... We visited all the sights before and enjoyed the views from this place. Unforgettable - our first snake while in Australia Hard to decide, who was more surprised! - Thanks for the box at this nice place!

From 23.09 until 24.11.2019 Stadibast and I spent our holidays in Australia.
During the first four weeks we drove with a camper van from Darwin to Perth along the West coast and its amazing national parks, in which we made several hiking tours.
After that we flew to the wonderful green Tasmania for a roundtrip lasting two weeks.
For the last three weeks we went back to the continent and followed the South-East-Coast from Melbourne to Sydney.
We had impressive nine weeks in Australia, in which we hiked through various national parks, visited interesting sights and met many friendly and helpful people.
Thanks to all owners for setting and maintaining their caches.

While out enjoying some truly super coastal geocaching today, and while on route to undertake the nearby Earthcache , we of course stopped off to search for this cache which was quickly located once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe

*Smiley # 10025.*
*Cache find # 9980 + 45 Lab Caches.*
After spending a bit of time on Churchill Island at an event and finding a few caches, we then returned to the larger Island and then went on a quest to find some treasure.
As this one was only a short distance away from where we were after walking about 1.3 kilometres, how can we not come over for a look.
After circling GZ the cache was then found.
**Thanks to Gonefishen07 for placing this cache.**

Our connections with Phillip Island, go back almost half a century, yes it is a Treasure Island in so many ways. Of course visiting the island is made even more exciting now because of the large number and great variety of caches to be found.
We were able to leave a little ochre print in the log book here.
Thanks to 'Gonefishen07' for placing this cache on the geo-gameboard.

Find #4145. Found @ 10:41 with The Good Lady Wife.
What better use of a long weekend getaway than to have a relaxing couple of days on Phillip Island, and to target some caches.
Heading off to target a nearby Earthcache that I needed for a D/T square on my second loop, and this was along the way.
Nearing the goal and we decided to grab this one first after appreciating the magnificent and stunning view. A nice quick find in the only area that it could be in given the surrounding region.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache Gonefishen07

A beautiful walk here with many flowers and indeed a stunning view. Was a little worried about snakes but it all turned out ok. Cache is in good order, thanks Gonefishen07
**This was 1 of 36 caches that was found by me on the 8th of 16 caching days here in Australia. Which also was the 45th of 75 days that my travels thru southeast Asia and Oceania would last.**
This one got found in connection with our gathering for the earthcache answers nearby.
During the walk west towards Berrys beach we made sure to keep our mouths shut. There where namely trillions of flies in the air.
*Together with Ingabo, jsson and Sivun I would spend 16 days in Australia. Our journey started in Melbourne and ended in Sydney. After that I continued to New Zealand while the others headed back towards Melbourne.*
*All in all I did manage to find 263 caches, 9 types, 3 new months and many more statistical fillers.*

Thanks for placing a cache for me to enjoy and find.

After completing the nearby earth cache, we had a little wait for a few muggles to pass us before starting our search. Once located and signed, we too were lucky to see a couple of wallabies on our way back. Thank you Gonefishen07. Beautiful area.
Very grey skies but no rain as yet. A nice walk from the Pyramid Rock lookout. Quick find at GZ. TFTC
This has long been one of my very favourite spots on the island. So thrilled to discover there’s a cache here. Gets a favourite from me for that. Quick find for once!

The sun has broken through, the rain has stopped. Time to enjoy the scenery and log this cache. Thanks
Did the Pyramid Rock walk to the music of screaming RX7s from the racetrack. Great views on a magnificent autumn day.
Great view. Also watching a storm about to hit us from the south, so a quick grab and run
I parked at Berry's Beach and was lucky enough to see a wallaby on the way here. My real destination was the Earth Cache nearby, but I was more than happy to pick up this traditional cache along the way. Yes, what a stunning view! TFTC Gonefishen07
Geohubby was onto this one while I was collecting everything needed for the earth cache didnt take him long before this one was in hand signed and replaced finally i could have my pen back yes thats right we only had one pen lol tftc

Now that we're both fit again we are resuming our regular Wednesday caching trips. Today we're continuing with the Treasure Island series where we left off last week but this cache was calling us & we wanted the walk. Glad we took the time for this little side trip. Definitely Stunning.
A stunning view indeed and an easy find. The log book is dry but the cache is full of water. Tftc.
Silver fang found it a pretty simple find hardest part was filling out and holding on as very very windy 15/10/16
Was out on a philip island geoday to find a heap of caches on the island. Well we found some caches but not heaps as they seemed to be than a walk up but what some great views TFTC for all your efforts too.
Even with my vantage point from the geomobile it was indeed a stunning view. I was sent off to do another cache with less of a hike, while the remainder of the Phillip Island Crew grabbed this smiley! TFTC
A group of us planned a geocaching assault on Phillip Island today, seeing how far we would get in finding all of the approximately 120 available caches. We did aim mostly for puzzles, mysteries and earthcaches so it was no surprise that we ended the day with less than 20 finds... quality over quantity, I suppose .
With several of us searching the cache was soon found, and the log signed as 'Phillip Island Crew' to save space.
It is indeed a stunning view of this scenic coastline from here.
Thanks, Gonefishen07.

Well this made for a pleasant walk, or an added bonus on our stroll to the earthcache, depending on one's perspective on such things. A likely hiding place came into view from quite a distance, and was thoroughly examined by the group. I think the hamfish got his hands on it first. Log signed 'The Phillip Island Crew' as time-saving measure. Thanks Hell+Back & Gonefishen07!
Yep, I agree with the cache’s title: What a Stunning View! A seaside stroll lead me and the rest of the Phillip Island crew over to another beautiful part of the isle's undulating coastline. The find was made as quick as greased lightning, the paperwork was duly completed and we ventured on and down to the nearby earthcache. Thanks gonefishen07
A big drive down from Geelong for a day out on the Island with friends old and new. A great day with mainly finds save for a couple of D5's. Perfect weather too which had to be happy with, despite the thick fog in the morning! Caches were logged 'The Philip Island Crew - 5/08/16' to save logbook space as a group.
As we pulled up to parking some planting was going on, so we made our way to the cache. A nice walk and some stunnings views Edge of the world, awesome spot! On the way back a bloke walking the dog asked '...are you guys counting plants or something'. 'Pokemon' I replied - he rolled his eyes. So much easier to explain! Haha

Walked from the Berrys Beach end of the track to pick this one up. Quick find once at GZ. Great views to Pyramid Rock - and intriguing views to the nearby earth cache (one for a drier day me thinks). Family headed off to Pyramid rock and sent me back for the car - they spent the time waiting for me watching a whale that was playing very close to the lookout. TFTC.
We parked at the Berry's Beach end and had planned to walk half, find the cache and walk back, however, on finding the cache nice and quickly decided to send matt_geo back for the car to meet geo_kids and myself at Pyramid Rock. Turned out to be an inspired idea as we got to do some whale watching off the lookout at Pyramid Rock!! We've never seen one before, let alone so close. Thanks for placing this cache and getting us out and about on the Island.
After the DNF registered for the last log I hoped it wouldn't be one for me and it wasn't! All in good condition at GZ. Swapped a small koala for a scorpion set in Perspex and enjoyed the view. First time I've done this walk from end to end. The joy of having a nonwalking partner. TFTC
Not sure if this had been muggled or we just didn't find the right container. At GZ all we found was a the lid of a possible container - no sign of a log or the rest of the container. Message sent to CO. Anyway it was a nice morning with great views of Pyramid Rock.
Well worth the short and easy walk for the amazing views. I actually passed a couple of muggles en route but they were well gone and I could enjoy the experience on my own.
Yes it was a stunning view today. Great location and turned out to be well worth the walk.

Found by Mary & David at 1535. Enjoyed the walk from the end of Glamis Road. A few muggles on the path this afternoon, but had plenty of time at GZ to retrieve the cache unseen. Fabulous views here. Our thanks to Gonefishen07.
A quick find here after a scramble up the hill with mansgirl from that other one
