An appropriate time of year to visit this cache given the Australian Open starts this week. Hopefully the courts are better than these ones.Long grass but no snakes sighted thankfully. TFTC
Out with Geowife and Geodogs exploring the area. Just had a cracker meal at the Thoona pub, great place. Game, set and match. All good here. Now onto the next one for the day. TFTC
Returning to my accommodation after a day of caching this was a quick park and grab. Cache was in good condition.
A quick find, after reading previous logs, in the rain on the way home from Yarrawonga. Cache on good condition
This area is one that we often drive through but has never been a destination. This Kings birthday long weekend we made it our destination and to tick off some caches around the area
Nice easy find once we looked in the less obvious spot, sneaky

I found your D1.5/T2.0 Small Traditional called Game, Set, Match on 12 April 2023. It was find #18253 for me. Thank you docNwitchjy for placing this cache for our enjoyment in the wonderful state of Victoria.
Rutherglen Mega Trip. [^] Day 10 - Let the journey back home begin. [^] It was a horrible drizzly rain sort of day but that didn't stop up find a few caches anyway. We had solved quite a few puzzles before coming over so we just had to go and find a few.
Our crew for the week for the mega was:
Bushfire
Anymules
Brisal5
6Hinemoa2
BAB6 for short and to save space in logs. We stayed together for a few caches until we split and then it was just myself and Anymules. We took a targeted way down to Bendigo finding these along the way.
I managed to walk into a nest of 4 orb weavers that had laid a trap across the approach. [:(!] Safely backed or and went around to make the find.
**SA’s Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024.**
***Thanks docNwitchjy for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***
Logs prepared and published through GSAK.

With so much rain over night and more predicted today (Friday) we decided to do the Silo Trail as there would be more driving than being out of the car lol. We found this cache on the way from Rutherglen to starting at the Southern end of the Silo Trail so we could also do the AdLab. Wow so many spider webs from where we parked on the main Rd and walking to GZ!! Cache was missed the first time we looked but found on the second sweep. We found the track out to walk back to the car thus avoiding the spider webs this time lol

Not the best day to be walking through the long grass but with our eyes peeled we thought a little outside the spare and soon located the cache. Great little spot. TFTC.

Found by Mary and David at at 15:10. Probably such a social scene in its heyday. No doubt there would have been many matches played of varying seriousness. Delighted to see an early froth of wattle. Our thanks to docNwitchjy.
Called past today and found the cache. Didn't bring the rackets so limited myself to the one sport, caching!
Thanks docNwitchjy.
Thanks docNwitchjy.
Heading south from Yarrawonga, with Team Crackers.
Not many matches happening here at the moment.
Cache found after a short search, signed and replaced.
Many thanks for placing this cache, docNwitchjy, for us and others to find.

After doing the fireworks for the Mulwala Ski Club last night we joined forces with The Drovers to try and grab a few caches before parting company.
We pulled into this one with a feeling of de-ja-vue and knew exactly where the hide would be as we had obviously done this one a few years back but had forgotten to log it so we added our name to the log again and are this time logging it online.
It's amazing how these places were once the centre for so much social activity now have no one to make use of what was once good facilities. It makes you wonder what happened to all the people that would have frequented this facilities but at least they are still hire as a reminder of times gone by.
Thanks docWitchy for the cache.

Day 2 camping at the showgrounds at Benalla.
This morning was caching out at Winton wetlands then a side trip on the way home to Goorambat before heading back to Benalla for a quite afternoon.
Thankyou docNwitchjy for placing this cache.
Another quick park and grab with Jackez74 and Bucrog52 signed log as Geo Trio. TFTC
Out for a drive with Bucrog52 & Matho64 to the Siloh Art Ad Labs. We stopped here and once the gps finally settled down Bucrog52 found it!
The mosquitoes were having a field day on us! TFTC

Thanks to docNwitchjy for this placement, so sad to see what would have been an exciting place to be on Saturdays and during the weekly competition.
Oh well it seems to be the way of the world.
Thanks for placing this cache out here.
So quiet today on a sunny Autumn morning.

Strange place for a couple of tennis courts to be located. This location seems to be called "Sams Hut Recreation Reserve" and is part of the larger Bungeet Bushland Reserve but when it was last used and by whom will continue to be a mystery!

The note from a muggel probly explains why I couldn't find it last time but nice a quick this time, TFTC
Was always going to head out today for the souvenir but when I was given the option on Thursday evening that I could do what I wanted the plan was to collect one of the local caches (and reduce my chances of filling all my calendar holes this month) to a trip somewhere where I could get a few more. Options were around Myrtleford where I still have a few to collect or further west - in what I will call the Wangaratta-Benalla-Yarrawonga triangle. With the weather forecast so much better than the last two days (yesterday in particular was disgusting) I chose the latter. Hadn’t realised that this was where the silo art was so that was an added bonus. Poked around and found a few interesting caches (and missed a few as well). Interesting all these little villages all had pubs (that were open for lunch) but no shops (I had a hankering for a dim sim but had no luck). A pleasant drive and even got to cache in the rain for about 30 minutes.
Ducked down the track to isolated tennis courts / no signs to let you know who used to run these. Wandered over and cache was not in obvious spot but soon located. Multiple logs in the container was a bit of a mystery.

Heading home to Wodonga after a First Aid course in Shepparton. A quick stop and grab. Sitting back in my car to fill in the log, with my car saying 44 degrees outside. No Wriggly sticks found. TFTC
Visited the St Arnaud for the Mega Event and now staying in Benalla for a couple of days. Each day we went in different directions. Thank you to all the CO's who have placed these caches, as it was a most enjoyable time looking for them. Cache found and log signed. TFTC
Last full day in the Benalla area and exploring the countryside by searching for caches. Thank you to all the COs for placing and maintaining caches in this area for us to enjoy finding.
Day 1 of KmanNZ's latest roadtrip. Today had me travelling to Narrandera, NSW via Yarrawonga on some long, back roads.
Find #13
A quick walk to GZ while swatting the flies away and looking for snakes.
First item came up trumps but second item was gold.
A liked the note from a Muggle who found the cache while looking for firewood, took it home, googled Geocaching and then returned it to it's home.
Thanks for the cache and the creepy tennis court

Stopped over on the way back from Yarrawonga. Sad to see these tennis courts falling into disrepair. Sign of the tone I suppose. Nice hide TFTC

No sign of any recent tournaments on the courts but the cache was quickly located

Curious stop, middle of no where. Didn’t take long until cache was in hand. Don’t bother with the toilet facilities, not very clean
We stopped here on our way back to Geelong from Yarrawonga to swap drivers and earn a smilie. Didn't bring any tennis gear but managed to find the well-concealed cache. Container is full of goodies, but we still managed to add a small TB.

Thank you, we are staying at the broken creek Bush camp and spending the day exploring the area via geocaching. Love finding great local social gathering places. Thank you
Nice courts, thankfully didn't meet any slitherys on this hot day, clever hide tftc
A beaut spot to stop for a stroll and cache find today [^]
No 'hit and giggle' anymore
This forgotten reserve would make a good overnight stop methinks
A quick cache find somewhere around

This was a tad longer to find because we had a little trek across the bush to get to the cache. It certainly doesn’t look like there’s any game, set or matches happening out here.
I was surprised to find the cache inside a plastic bag with a note from a Muggle who had found the cache while removing firewood from the area. He/she had taken the cache home thinking it was rubbish but on investigating it further and looking up about Geocaching on the internet replaced it . The final part of the note indicated that he/she thought that Geocaching looked like fun. I put the note and plastic bag inside the cache. Maybe we’ve got a potential geocacher there. Unfortunately the note wasn’t signed, although the log had been signed too!Note from somebody who found when chopping
Tftc. It has been fun exploring the area! I had no idea this place existed! I didn't have a pen, so couldn't sign the log.
Great tennis court here. So unfortunate that we didn’t have a racquet and ball. With us. Geo child found quickly. Thanks. Silkyie.
Well we never had time for a game but we did find the cache.
Good hide Signed and replaced. Thanks for bringing us here another place
we have not been before. Another one off our to do list. TFTC.

Great hide, lots of fun for the family found by brother and mum. Left journey stone. Took horse bead.
Oh boy have I got some catch up logging to do.
This was to be my first ace of the days match winning all sets without dropping a game.
(No DNF's)[^]
TFTC docNwitchjy and sorry for the late log. I guess I dropped the ball here.

Friday night and what better way to celebrate the end of the working week than going for a country drive into the Warby's to try and find a new multi cache [^]
Brodie, muggle partner and I enjoyed pizza for tea while sitting in Harry then headed out into the darkness.
Only 1 cache was found tonight as things just did not go as planned and between muggle partner being tired from moving the annexe and everything in it to the new caravan park site [)], me being tired from work [)], the cold and the rain it was prudent to turn back rather than keep going [^]
Thankfully I found this cache on my way out because I'd have hated having my game finish without at least 1 set won, even if I did lose the match with the next cache I looked for
I headed for the obvious while muggle partner called out 'found it' from the less obvious
At least it was found

Heading home after a few days in Melbourne caching. Had taken a short deviation on a hot day. Almost gave up on this one because of all the long grass but stomped my way to GZ and made a quick discovery.
Thanks docNwitchjy for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

We were on our way to visit the relatives in Yarrawonga after a very good day in Benalla where the Princess competed in an archery comp out at North East Archers.
It was all quiet when we pulled up, so we were able to make an uninterrupted find, once we looked in the RIGHT spot, and then signed our lives away, then it was back into the big flash Prado and off at the speed of smell.
Thanks docNwitchly for the nice cache.

Found at 3:09 PM GAFF1.
We love tennis court related caches, but in this cold weather, there is no one playing today and by the look of the condition of the nets, it doesn't look as though anyone does play here anymore.
Got suckered into the more obvious location for the cache - had to move about 5 metres to find it in the right spot.
Thanks docNwitchjy.

Another beautiful winters day for a drive around the countryside. All my finds today were quick and easy and bagged 20 in about 3 hours. TFTC
Sadly we have a similar sight in our community. Once the heart of our town now a deserted area. TFTC
Someone must have hit this one for a six as it was not in its hidey hole, but found it out in the open when we widen the search. Returned to GZ. TFTC
Travelling in Victoria heading North towards NSW. Stopped here just for a smilie. Tftc.
Out again this morning in the Benalla area continuing my quest to visit as many 2015 Victorian Geocache of the Year Award nominees as possible before the event on 27 February, find out more at the event page http://coord.info/GC679HV. Also grabbing a few bonus caches along the way.
Nice quick find here as there were no rounds for the Australian Open scheduled at this location today.

A tennis court, its amazing the things you see in the middle of nowhere when geocaching. TFTC
Catching up on a few late logs (something not that unusual for me). As always, I enjoyed the journey to find the cache, mostly I have been in the company of Team Crackers, maccamob, alansee and the Coffee's, but occasionally I have gone out solo to soak in the solitude of being out in the fresh air.
Thanks docNwitchjy for placing this cache.
