Lovely lane! Take care not to disturb the active bees who have made their home in this tree. TFTC
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in Robe for a few days to grab some find. Drizzly winters day as we range from Robe to outlying areas. Beware the ??s. Thanks for the hide. LNCU??
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are now based in Robe, exploring the wild coastline and beautiful countryside. TFTC. ?? LNCU
I did have a look for a good ten minutes. Couldn’t find. GZ must be off. But I did find somebody else’s pen, a centipede and a bee hive.
Amazingly, the temperature was half that of yesterday - 21C today , enabling us to look for a few extra caches that we wouldn't have bothered with the day before .Not many places this could be . TNLNSL.Thanks Funky G.O.
On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting & detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird or Angry Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC Funky G.O.

Our final day camping at the Mega, all packed up but still the aim to cache the highway home and any others we happened to be near this was one of them, travelling with Mattycat and Sebastbat, quick find for us on this one today

Post geoventure caching with Sebastbat, Jack, and Froghoppin, along the journey home.
Found a bunch of caches, including this one So many active BEES ! ! ! !!
Thanks for putting this cache out on the SE SA geomap Funky G.O.

All the Geocaches are located and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck!
---
Please do stay safe when caching.
Lookout for mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on
We really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

Our time in the South East is drawing to a close now so today we headed north grabbing those caches towards Kingston which we hadn’t already found and then enjoyed a bit of four wheel driving in Mt Scott Conservation Park to grab another cache and a Trig Point.
Many thanks for the hide Funky G.O.
Many thanks for the hide Funky G.O.
Found during a camping trip to the Coorong and the Southeast areas with brisal5 and I in one vehicle, and e.gregory and friend in the other. We travelled around the Narrung Peninsula and down the Coorong where we spent the first night camped out at Tea Tree Crossing. Enjoyed some challenging driving and eventful cache finds, wandering bush tracks and strenuous sand dune climbs in very scenic areas. The second night saw us camp out in Little Dip before meandering the country roads in search of an assortment of Traditional, Earth, Multi and Puzzle caches further down the coast before heading back home via Lucindale, Padthaway and Keith. Thanks for the cache Funky G.O.!
ROAD TRIP! Time to head south and fill a few gaps near the Coorong that require a 4WD to access. [^] So I joined Featherwaite in the trusty Hilux and with E.gregory in his mighty Palace on wheels in support what could possibly go wrong. [?]
Day 3: Once again it was up with the dawn and southward calling in at caches as we went. Eventually though it was time to turn for home but once again it was a convoluted path we took to collect a few out of the way caches. [^]
Oh dear, the cache is very near an active bee hive. Luckily they paid us no heed as we grabbed the cache.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks Funky G.O. for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Today was my final day around Mount Gambier and then on to driving back home to Adelaide. Following a couple of cave dives at the Pines, I still had half a day to head back, and so stopped off at quite a few geocaches that I had on my target list along the Coorong road. I managed to stop off to complete the other half of the Millicent SFE series, some more caches around Millicent, and then a few oldie geocaches at various stops within the Coorong and Policeman's Point.
This was a lonely geocache placed on a side road to the highway that I had driven along many times, wondering when I would do this detour. Well today was as good as any other day, and drove in good conditions to park near GZ. However, it did take me a fair amount of time looking amongst the tree and associated branches. The bees nest in the tree also didn't help, as I tried to cover up and look up at the right angle to wonder if it was in there (note to futue geocachers - it wasn't).
I wondered if I would need to do a DNF here which would have been annoying since it was off the main route, so I persisted in searching, and turns out a place I had suspected from a telltale geocaching sign that I had dismissed earlier in my search, contained the cache, but was just deeper than where I had previously looked. Phew, the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Funky G.O. for the cache placement and maintenance.

I cant make it for the Mega so have come down for a few days to clear a bit if the map. TFTC
Accurate coordinates and a logical hide location led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thankfully no wasps were seen today. Thanks Funky G.O. for the cache.
Woodleigh Lane was calling me today
So I headed out that way.
At GZ a poke around,
and this well hidden cache was soon found
And of course one of the two locals that use this road each day,
happened to pass by while I was looking for the cache [:o]
Fortunately me geomobile doesn't attract suspicious looks from country folk,
and we exchanged waves as they passed by [^]
TFTC
PS: Watch out for the wasps !!
One got me smack bang in the middle of the forehead !!
OUCH !!!

From our base in Millicent, in the very good company of fellow Victorians Suscoe, we enjoyed the scenery and the history lessons, of a day along the coast including Robe and Cape Jaffa.
Our last stop as we headed back to camp.

What a brilliant day Suscoe had today out and about with our good friends Phetlern.
Sunshine, some light drizzle here and there, some fog, a gentle breeze, sheep, cows, horses, foxes, seabirds and loads of wonderful countryside including coastal scenery and pastoral lands greeted us as we travelled from Millicent to Cape Jaffa and back again.
We enjoyed our day out and we found lots of caches.
Thanks to Funky G.O. for this hide.
A quiet road here today.
Time to head back to the accommodation.
What good day out.

A quick detour off the main road on our regular trip past. Cache found well. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache.
Not venturing to Mount Gambier this weekend we set our sight around this area to find our daily cache. We came in from the least dirt road and went out the same way, much smoother trip for Mrs Kookacrew.
Yep the bees are still here, worked out well as the wind was blowing them away from where we wanted to be, so they left us alone, phew.
Looks like Woodleigh Lane still just has the one cache along it......for now.
Thanks Funky G.O. for the cache and a Saturday arvo drive. TNLNSL

Had a bit of a run in with a bee who was a protective of its home. First got stuck in my hubbies hair and when I removed it, it went for my hair. mmm got very upset with me trying to remove it, never heard a bee buzz so loudly and fast. I was a great distraction for while hubbie returned cache and the bee followed me back to the car.
Day four and our last day in the lower South East region.
A quick find with CPWanderer & hevwalker, thanks for the cache Funky G.O.

Found this cache with clare007 and hevwalker on an expedition to the south east! We had perfect weather on our trip …. Picking up some great Traditionals, multis and puzzles and a number of earthcaches. We also attended the Aussie Outback Event in Mount Gambier and local teams TT016 and Spanner111 took us on a nightcaching run!

Slight detour on the way home for a FTF. May have forgotten to add date to log entry and in the dark we thought the trackable was a pathtag, will move it on. Left a tiny sewing machine and drove the length of the road for a nice drive to get back on track for home. Probably would never have travelled this road if not for the cache.TFTC
