Attempted this one a few months ago and thought I would have another look today, no new logged finds so wasn't encouraging.
Mozzies were ferrous and once again DNF, but this time logged it

After stepping within 20 cm of a beautiful newly shed python curled up exactly at the coordinates i decided to abandon my all to brief search. You know i stood tgere for a while thinking nah, you wouldn't. Not where lots of people get snake bite. That would just be negligent. So i whipoed out my camera to take a photo and before i could take the photo of him coiled he decided to move. Just like the yeti i couldn't get a good one of it but it certainly made me think twice about where i now stepped.

03-Sep-16
After the snake picture was bit hesitant to look for this one, but the hint did help as the gps was putting me about 10 m off
Once i saw it i did leap into the air a bit, but then realised what needed to be done
The log was stuck, but i did manage to pry it out, i think it got wet at some stage as it is also ripped and delaminating, however there is still some dry bits to sign
Signed and replaced
Thanks for the unique cache

Found in the last place we looked Wink. Mrs SearchEngine was never going to get out for a cache like this (and one of us has to look after the kids anyway) so I went in alone. I definitely found it unsettling but I did go in too deep. So my coordinates were a bit off and I was just getting worried I might not find it and I was walking out and there it was! Fun, interesting cache and the whole experience was definitely worthy of a FP from us. Unfortunately we didn't have tweezers to remove so it took a lot of flicking to get it out. Log is a bit damp so some of the previous names have disappeared. Lastly, we very nearly got bogged in the nearby grass and all the rain we had this afternoon wasn't enough to clean the mud off. TFTC!

Nearly gave up on this one. Loved it though

Out to check this one after a recent Cacher noted repairs might be necessary. After a few minor repairs the cache is up and running yet again. Happy caching.

Cool cache thanks. From reading hint and previous comments i dont think it is hiding in its proper spot though, may have moved due to recent rough weather?

after a little searching found this one little harder than expected easy to grab little harder to replace

Heading out for some hijinks we needed to pass here so Ratdog made the decision to stop here.
Leaping Lizards we were a bit worried when we saw the no entry sign but as we didn't plan on dumping anything (you have already done that) or hooning Ratdog decided that we would be safe to enter. We needed to get this cache!

Parked up close by and went looking. I was searching for GZ and Ratdog was searching for suitable hides. I saw it first. Not to give too much way we soon had the cache in hand. Returning the signed log was another story all together.Twisted Eventually the log was back in place the cache was replaced but didn't want to go back so we replaced it again.

Love the cache and we drove away sedately too. No hijinks here that for the next stop

out with Rainforest Cookie today we came by to find this cache. I soon had it in hand and then it was eventually replaced. I was starting to walk away when I noted a small ant on me, bending to flick it off I saw it was actually a small preying mantis. how cool was that? I didn't even jump.

Went out to check on the cache. The container in the cache had been shoved too far in. Extracted the container (with great difficulty). All good to go. PLEASE don't push the container all the way in.

Cache Camo container needs a bit of surgery.

Teamed up with karicka and family for a roadtrip from Townsville to Mackay over the weekend in order to get some of those caches that all have recently been published and to put a few more smiley faces on our map before our big move back home to WA. Were also looking forward to attend the International Caching Day Event down in Mackay which was organised by dandent and meeting some local cachers down there.
What a beautiful idea, loved the cache container! T got so excited to go and grab the cache he jumped out of the car as R had stopped and fell straight into the hole in the ground there. hahahaha. shame nobody had a camera! However that didn't stop him and he had the cache in hand in no time.

had to head out ...
so thought I may as well detour out here for a look as well Big Grin

nice one [^]
clean sheet again too Big Grin

I thought about putting a cache out here ages ago
but with a different theme [?] I don't recall the story included with the cache page Surprised
but I know that the big teethed lizards were around here.

I was going to focus on the adjacent Reliance Creek National Park
a small wetland reserve, but being only a total area of 0.3km2
it is one of the smallest National Parks in Queensland.

Back to this one ... great cache ... and it is a bit different Big Grin
... and for that - it gets a favourite from me [^]

Advice to those who follow ...
take a log extraction tool with you (luckily I had one in the car)
you have been warned about the lizards
but also take care with all the tram crossings in the area
especially during cane crushing season (June to November)
when the lines are used to haul cut cane to the mills.

cheers, and thanks for the cache
