Cache has been muggled and the 3 stairs removed. I will repalce it in a week and think of a new hint.
The pedestrian access here has been closed, and we couldn't even see where it used to be, so no location matched the hint. Our indicated GZ was in an area of low hedges. We searched there for a while, then went to the area below in the car park, but were unable to find a cache at either spot. Our thanks anyway to Old Man Emu.
High muggle activity but found furtively nonetheless!! No dice, got a heads on the coin. TFTC
Detour from shopping and signed the log. Thanks Old Man Emu for organising the cache and hunt.
Glad to avenge my previous DNF when this cache had been muggled

Stopped off on my way back home from the Amateur Radio NSW (HAM Radio) bi-monthly Trash & Treasure sale at Quarry Road Dural, to find this one. It had been a fun filled morning of HAM radio junk scrounging, and a nice BBQ lunch with lots of friendly chit chat, but now it was time to collect some more caches on the homeward journey. This was the 4th of 15 finds for the day.
Next stop was the North Rocks Shopping Centre, which I haven't visited since they used to host the regular computer fairs in the 1990's. As with the HAM radio T&T sales, the old computer fairs were a great place to buy old & new computer hardware at cheap prices.
Anyway, after parking the geomobile, I headed over to GZ for a quick find. TNLNSL, then replaced as found. Thankfully there were no smoking muggles at GZ during my visit today. TFTC Old Man Emu.

This was my last attempt for the day.
I found the area based on the hint and unsure wether it's gone or if I was jinxed by the other recent DNF's

I was only going to do one cache today and ended up doing five around the North Rocks area. This was my third. Parked on the upper level and looked like GZ was going to be near the perimeter fence. Wandered around the outside of the fence where the iPhone was reading 0m. Wasn't until I read some logs that I realised I needed to be at a different elevation. Spotted cache on approach, SL and headed off. Don't recall seeing any diced or coins. There was however what looked like a bit of tobacco.
Not much room left on the log.

Came all the way to north Sydney today to do some caching in a unknown area for me. Ended up doing some stuff of my wishlist and a lot of fun caches. Thanks for putting out all the caches and I surely will be back.

I have a little story to tell about this spot so when me and my mates finish school and we didn't want any parents to see us we used to come down under the ramp and have a couple of smokes before we went home and never realised there would be a geocache here. what a good find
Find #: 1,350
Companions: None
Muggles: A few
Weather: Cold but sunny winter's day
Cache condition: Good
I had a long dentist appointment nearby, and needed to recover with some caches. I noted that this was back in its rightful spot, so decided to avenge my DNF of a few months ago. I was able to get a parking spot quite close, and once at GZ the find was quick. TNLNSL, then was back in my car within a few minutes. TFTC

I managed to park pretty much on top of this one but the GPS moved me onward and upward. I soon realised my mistake and returned after finding the cache up the other end of the carpark.

For today's daily cache(s) went for caches hidden by Old Man Emu. Walked from the nearby "Midnight on the bay" and at first we searched on the wrong level. As soon as arriving on the correct level the cache was found and signed..
Cache is back in its original place.
NB it is not in the pile of rubble on the ground.

Note from Cache Owner - Cache is still being found but when I checked yesterday it is not it the original position. I couldn't even find it !!! I will have a better look and have asked recent finders. I will relocate it to it original spot.

I was in the area after a dental appointment, and decided to find a few caches to distract the numbness. I managed to find my way into the parking lot, and parked before making my way to GZ. I deciphered the hint, and was confident I was at the right level and at a likely spot, but despite finding a few SPORs couldn't find the container. I'll be back!
Ah, but which level?
Pink Floyd springs more to mind!. A significant find for me as it is no. 200. Am a Neil Young fan - must go back and listen to the lyrics.

Tftc, completed several caches in the area on my way to a specialist Mexican store at North Rocks. Stopped in here for a quick pit stop on the way back.
Found this afternoon while trying to keep my daily streak going. This was a good hide in a busy area. TFTC.
Instinct told me one place, initial reading of clue had me elsewhere but once I returned to the first obvious spot, lyrics made sense for a quick find.
I walked over from the other cache in this shopping complex.
I know the complex well from years of visits so was able to pick the correct level. However, I don't know the song Pocahontas so had a look at the words last night when I was selecting caches in the area I'd be driving through today. When I got to the correct area I spotted something mentioned in the words of the song so started my search there.
Soon had CIH & SL.

Today's geo-run with Opa Shrek was brought to us by Neil Young it would seem.... So many songs I'd never heard of before today, but this one I was familiar with!
After adding a smiley on the other side, Opa-Shrek and I cut through the centre to get us in position for this one.... Exiting, we scanned the carpark quickly, deeming one place better than another according to our map, so we wandered along chatting and not really paying attention, until we reached the spot we thought we wanted and realised it was not quite right... A quick check of the hint, and we immeadiately saw where we had erred, so we corrected our position as needed.
Once at the actual GZ the hint was clear, and pleasing to see we were somewhat less exposed here, the cache was in our hand in moments.
Thanks for another find Old Man Emu

Today's geo-outing with Mumma-Kel brought us down the M1 to North Rocks, an area that is home to a cluster of caches but one that neither of us has previously tackled, other than to grab the odd drive by cache.
Here, we headed from our parking sport to where we figured the hide would most likely be, but after looking in the obvious places there, we decided some additional guidance was necessary and so took a look at the hint ... and doing so led us to the inevitable conclusion that we needed to broaden our search zone to include another area nearby. When we then did so, the hint made immediate sense and moments later, we had the cache in hand. Thanks for a nice hide Old Man Emu, and for the smiley.

Found with Kjap92.

We decided to come out for some couple caching today after dropping the geoson at daycare. We had came here to make our fifth find for the day. We parked the GeoFalcon in the shopping centre carpark and decided we would make a line for where we thought the cache would be.
Kjap92 selected a spot where she felt the cache would be and we both followed up on it. Making the find we noticed the car was holding the pen still as i forgot to get the pen out. I went back for the pen and brought the car back with me.
After signing the log we were questioned by security as to what we were doing there. Told them about the game and he went on his way.
Replaced the cache and came and we were off to the next one.
There was no coin in the cache.

This was pretty cool lol went with goughy2012 the security guard did come up to us however this cache does need major maintence the dice was missing as were half the other activities in the cache
No luck with this one today. Felt just a little bit too conspicuous poking around.
Missed out on mentioning on the previous cache that the coin is missing - Whoops.
Thanks for the cache, will try again.

Having lived nearby years ago and parking here many times before, i knew exactly where abouts this one would be. Just a matter of finding the right spot. Didn't take too long. TFTC!
Thankfully a nice quick find on a hot day. Initially parked on the wrong level, but soon relocated and notice something a bit odd. Had to hang around for a while while a muggle finished his phone call before I could replace it.

#510 found while after some caches around North Rocks and Carlingford. The last one we did before heading in our different directions. This one took a while to locate while trying to find the correct level. It appears to be out a bit but found it in the end. Thanks for the series
I came earlier on my own for a DNF, but between Phil and I, we nutted it out. The previous logs with the mention of a pen helped. There are 3 levels one can be at. I spotted the pen from the "sloping" level, and Phil found the cache from the lower level
Drove over from the nearby cache and parked. Went the wrong way, and realised then where I needed to be. There was a car parked right near GZ, but he was on his phone. I did a search and saw the cache. Terrain was a little off, from the the listed terrain, but I managed to grab it and SL. TNLN and replaced. Little eerie here. TFTC.
Found cache container on the ground fully exposed! Contents were spread all out & log was out in the open. Put everything back together as best I could. Saw the pen up high, but wasn't sure exactly where to place the cache CO may just need to check up on it & inspect my efforts. TFTC
Geodad, geomum and I were on our way to the nearby shopping centre when we decided to find this cache.
I checked the hint a couple of times and soon had CIH.

Like others I saw the pen up high but it was only when I stood back that I saw the camo and made the find. TFTC.
Spotted the pen that everyone else has found and then the cache was obvious after that. Cheers!

#230. Found this one after presenting at RIDBC across the road. It was fairly quick find with the hint once I was on the right level. TFTC Old Man Emu - I like the song concept & hope to find more of your caches when I'm back in the area!
A cache after dinner nearby with Yogi Bear. Just the ticket! TFTC Old Man Emu!
Followed the GPS and searched but found nothing. Read the description and figured I was way too high. Spotted a SPOR down below for a quick sign and return. Thanks Old Man Emu.
Visited with Felix the spy and two previous finders. Thanks, Old Man Emu!
This was my 600th cache.
This was my 600th cache.
Doing a bit of a loop home after the AGM I headed up here. Initially started too high, but a check of previous logs gave me a hint as to where it should be. Like others spotted the pen first, and then went too high again before coming back to ground and spotting the camo. Used to shop here a bit when I lived at Rydalmere as it had one of the closest Aldi stores to home. Thanks Old Man Emu.
Streak Day #749 - fairly easy find when ur looking in the right place...as there is an obvious place to be seen. TFTC
So snoopy and I were looking for a place to cache that avoided the Castle Hill Thursday night grid lock and decided that North Rocks should be safe enough. Maybe we should have done our research better as we found ourselves in a shopping centre car park. LOL. Anyway after a short search of GZ (a little tricky in this spot), snoopy eventually came up with the goods. SL #2065 on streak day #1120 TFTC
Quick find on our trip to kmart with Chevs and big cheese. Found a parking spot nice and close.
The hint is very cheeky. Why is that even there?! Big Cheese scaled a part if the wall and found a pen in a very potential hiding spot which deterred us. But after referring to a photo Chevs pointed right at it.
Left a little dolphin keyring

#1992 (2 of 2 today)
Family duties kept me occupied until after 4pm today, so it was a late dash out for a park and grab (or two) before other required duties called.
After grabbing one I tossed up whether to go for the other nearby. Yeah, I guess I can afford to, I have a little wiggle room left before #2000...
END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION
I originally left home hoping for a First 2 Find here, but as I was en route, notification of the find came through, so I continued on elsewhere, leaving this for another day.
Today being that day, I drove here from Be The Rain and parked nearby as the light was starting to go.
Unfortunately not only was the light going, so were a number of shoppers who had also parked close to GZ. So I waited them all out by pretending to be on the phone.
Finally had a chance to make a grab, but like the previous finders, the first thing I spotted was a pen. Shortly after, though I spotted the obvious. CIH!
Took back to The Family Chariot to complete signing duties and then again needed wait out a few muggles before I could make the replace.
Interesting hide.
Grabbed the Mystic geocoin.

Another Neil Young cache - have found all the others so with half an hour to spare today I went over to North Rocks (smallest Westfield I know) and parked outside the centre not realising that I had to get inside at the time. My approach took the logs into account so got to the correct elevation - however the phone (and probably the GPSr) is not too accurate amongst all that concrete so I resorted to the hint and found it some 10m from where I was looking. I've had to resort to the hint for every one of these caches - luckily I can get the lyrics online easily enough.
Thanks!
Thanks!
We were at the shopping centre buying a recharge for YGAT's phone, and found a car space close by, so we had to grab this one. I used the phone but it was sending us up on to the road so I got out the eTrex which provided a much better outcome.
Thanks Old Man Emu.
Thanks Old Man Emu.
Once we were at the correct level it was a reasonably quick find. Thanks for the handy cache Old Man Emu.
A quick little find after canceling my weekend plans due to being snowed out.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
11/07/15. 8:47 AM. Cache #2674. Streak day #384.
Clearing the new caches that popped up inside my home 10km while I was away up in the Blueys. Started at this one - parked at the right level and researched the lyrics, but then the structure I was looking for was more than 50m away and up there. I still went up, at least to get a good look, but it became apparent that the only area where the workers would be stopping for a sneaky smoko is back down and out of sight.
Only when I got close to GZ did I see that the lyrics did still ring true, and from here the find was easy. Signed the log and rolled 1&1 (snake eyes!). Off to Davidson next for the Borgnis Lights caches. TFTC.
