I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.
Hi Nacho the pug
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards

A token look yielded nothing attached to the fence, bison or other.... or in, on or around any of the other likely spots in the vicinity.
I wasn't expecting to find anything after reading the activity log but never hurts to take a look since we were going right past.
I really just wanted to log something on this as the little green dot in a sea of smiley faces would drive me nuts as I did a massive sweep in this area today and this was the only DNF.
I'll keep a watch on this so I can return to get the find if the cache is replaced.

Searched for a while.
The fence doesn't look good to have somethingon it.

Mr C had an appointment over here so I suggested a picnic and day of caching after. We had fun on a lovely day with many walks. Great to see the sea from this track, quite a few ships waiting out at sea. The log here has been written across by muggles names using alot of the log. Thanks for this cache Nacho the pug.
I'd fancied a day out caching - but it's a really hot day & this was the only one I found.
Thanks for this cache, Nacho the pug. This fills one of the last degrees I need to cover all 360 from my home GZ.
Signed as KSI - the log has been muggles with some large writing.

We were in Chch for a week or so visiting spots of interest etc while seeing sons new house a and we took the bus out to this end of the 'spit' at new Brighton Unfortunately we ran out of time and i missed walking along the pier which was of interest to em as we have visited the Brighton pier in England. This was quickly retrieved thanks to the hint and it was soon signed and returned, but the natural covering has died leaving the cache semi exposed.
thank you for the cache. i took nothing and left nothing

My eyesight is definitely going - had to look a few times to spot this one but got there in the end. TFTC
Great hide, beautiful spot. Wouldn’t have found without the clue. Visited with a couple of trackables while out cycling on a lovely Southshore day. TFTC.
I have just moved over to the South Island from Australia. Hoping to live and explore the country over the next few years and find a lot of caches on the way. Cheers for the hides.
Out for an afternoon of caching by foot today and this was next on the list.
Needed a couple of looks to find but had it in hand before too long. Nicely hidden away here.

Well I'll be terned! Found the wee bison very quickly. I had been here a year or so earlier but could not locate the cache. Now came back in the darkness and there it was!
Not the right type of mystery clue I need to advance in the geocaching heist case but I was in Southshore so came by anyway.
The moon is looking very big tonight. There is always something mystical and enchanting about full moon at the seaside at nighttime.

After a CITO event at the governor bay, I got plenty of hours before the dinner so I head to the Southshore to do a cache swipe. Started from the parking lot, all the way down to the tip along the shoreline, and double back to the parking along the east side of the land along the beach. I found 10+ caches on 1 trip. Very nice.
Thought it will be hard to discover a wee item but turns out quick. TFTC!

I stood looking at and searching the fence for a good five minutes or so.
No muggles, but no joy either until finally I spotted it.
TFTC Nacho the pug.
A few days in the Christchurch area catching up with family in the Easter/ANZAC break and doing a bit of impromptu caching. Today’s targets were on the northern entrance and out by New Brighton.
Thanks to all COs.

#858. Day 1 of a short geo-tour of Christchurch. 2nd find today on a nice wee walk. Never been here before. Sad seeing the Red Zone area clear of houses.
Clever little container - quite quickly found.

Down in Christchurch for a quick visit and leapt at the chance to pick this cache up. It was a dnf for me a couple of years ago TFTC
Getting out to do at least one cache a day so now concentrating on Southshore. This was the last one that shows as enabled that I hadn't done so guess it's the first to do starting at the Spit end. Busy place on that pathway and hard to try looking innocent but found the cache and signed the log in between muggles. Took a little longer than normal searching but signed and sealed.
Took a bit longer but determination won. The second find of the day in my goal to reach a total of 500 finds. One to go now. Tftc
Found with nissan 65. Flew in yesterday from sydney for a short holiday. Hoping to see as much as i can on the south island and pick up caches along the way . Thanku for the cache
A wee bit of GZ to explore but after a few minutes there it was. An interesting garden with the bouys hanging from the trees. Cheers
Nice late afternoon/early evening exploration! Certainly good to have a few extra minutes of daylight, and increasing! TFTC!!
Did a little detour to pick this one up whilst doing the "Buccaneers Scavenger Hunt" with junior cacher and Team Geocacher Mr. T. Co-ords were good and found reasonably quickly using the helpful hint. Another towards the Hidden Creatures Challenge. Thank you Rincewind3 for replacing the cache for the CO. Nice area.
A really interesting look around the area today collecting a number of caches. Had not been out this way since the big earthquake. Thanks to the many CO's for maintaining your caches in such a great spot, which is quite unique in a number of ways. TFTC
Came back to have a more thorough search, and with a spare to replace it if necessary. Still no luck so it's been replaced with a black bison. Have sent a message to the CO (although they haven't been active in almost two years). Will also keep it on my watch list - if anyone finds the original I'll remove the replacement and try again.

Should have read old logs and looked further along maybe?
I focussed on the broken end section... apparently should be further south .

Not a good afternoon for caching for us today unfortunately. We had a look at the "Walk the Walk" cache but decided that we needed to bring our boat shoes next time we are down in Christchurch (when we come down to visit family) for this cache. Maybe we'll collect a couple of other smileys instead - bad idea! Had two DNF's and one half DNF but that's another story... we'll be back for this one
Nice find on a Christmas afternoon. Cache in plain view but only obvious if you are looking for it.
Hideeho Thanks For The Cache:) Greetings from the USA. Stopped by for some cache, was looking too hard before we spotted the cache.
Very quick find. Just had to wait for a wee spaniel to poop before zeroing in on the cache. Had a wee chat with the owners. Tftc
Nice! Lady walking her dog was at Gz and wanted to socialise her dog with mine! Theme of the day for me so far. Will go for one more find, can't stop on 69!tftc
Hard to find in the dark, but just happened to bump the right spot. Back to the car to shelter from the rain. One more for the night. Thanks
We couldn't spot this one today, but on a mission so only looked for a short time.
Overshot GZ initially and slowly worked our way back to the cache. It was obvious in the end but hadn't been looking for that sort of hide.
Not sure I'd like to live here right on the beach, with rising sea levels plus the threat of tsunamis. TFTC.

#12569. The end of the fence isn't in great shape; luckily it turned out the cache was further along, and was in good condition. TFTC.
