The monument seems to be undergoing renovation and the required info has been removed.
We got to the monument but alas no plaques. Fortunately Uncle G had copies of the plaques so we found the relevant details, checked our answers and headed off for the cache. Thought we had found it but either it wasnt the cache or it was the cache hit by a lawn mower. Maybe next time were in town we can find it.
Well ignore our last log. We stopped for a sit to watch the ducks, had a brain wave, went back to look, still no look. Then lumpyJ just noticed something odd and there was the cache, snug and safe. Very misleading clue but a find none the less. Tftc
I was going to attempt this whilst on a lunch break. Unfortunately it's impossible at the moment - no plaques due to repairs.
Thanks for the find. We left TB4WYJG ANZAC Soldier here to continue his journey.

After a long search and some self-doubt we found it.

TFTC, I returned today for a quick find as last time I had no access due to workmen at GZ.
Having solved the puzzle I was then confronted by a bigger problem. The cache is covered with bees.
Took a photo and emailed the owner who gave me permission to sign.
thanks

thanks
I have shifted the cache away from the bees. Use the same coordinates. Do not disturb the bees. remember if you don't hurt them, they won't hurt you.
Found the statue, did the maths, walked to GZ and found the cache... guarded by a small army of bees. Figured it probably wasn't the smartest move to try and extract the log, and so left the signing for another occasion.
What a lovely momument. We answered the questions and headed to GZ. Now for those of you who are alergic to bees please be very careful at GZ, today they were very busy so I sent hubby away and took care of things myself. Another top hide and another favourite. SL TFTC
Can't believe it, almost a month since I could'nt access the cache because of workmen and they are still there, infact their chairs are right on GZ, they certainly work slow around here.
Worked out the co ords, check sum matched, approached GZ only to find 5 workmen building a footpath 10 metres from GZ, I will have to get it next time I am in Tamworth.
Well muffed the cords first time so found where we went wrong and tried again. The bee's are keeping a guard on this one and while waiting for Mr. Wombat to get it with out being bitten an ant got me. Boy do they pack a punch. Ouch. ouch. The joy's of caching in thongs. LOL. T.F.T.C. and the history.
Enjoying a walk around Tamworth, stopped off to view the Whaler Horse and complete the multi cache. Thanks for the cache.
Easy find once I was able to get there within being spotted by a group of teenage Muggles and a muggle family kicking a ball around right in front of the cache location.

Easy find today despite the colourful muggle crowds. I'm sure I looked there before. Always extra satisfying to find a previous DNF. TFTC Whitey
We solved the puzzle after admiring the statue and walked over to ground zero. Unfortunately the cache was just laying on the ground. We signed the log and put it where we think it might have been.
Found by Pat & Cheryl at 2:15 pm. Thanks for bringing us to this great location and helping us to increase our tally. Really enjoyed this cache Whitey Wiskas and this is #1195 so far for us. Great Coords whitey and cache is in good condition.
Pretty sure I had the right coords, but couldnt find cache. Still, the statue was stunning and well worth the time tftc whitey

We discovered the old embedded cache and could touch the log inside the bag but then realised there's a new container a short distance away so we were able to sign a nice dry log. TFTC Whitey Whiskas.
We have travelled up from Sydney, to spend a week or so in Tamworth & Nundle for the April school holidays, staying at the Big4 Paradise caravan park in our Jayco Swan outback camper trailer. Today we decided on a walk around Bicentennial Park, and then back through the Tamworth CBD, picking up caches on our journey. This is the 2nd find of the day, 9th find of the holiday.
After visiting, and all having a play on, the spectacular Skywalk aerial walkway in the Tamworth Regional Playground, we wandered the short distance over to the magnificent Waler Horse sculpture. We gathered all of the required info from the plaques, our "checksum" was out by 1 for some reason but didn't seem to effect our GZ calculations, and after coming up with some geo numbers we headed over to final GZ.
The cache hide was quickly spotted but we were not able to extract the bagged log, which is stuck tight inside the container. Tried to extract with our geo tweezers, but it just wouldn't budge. Took a photo, as we do for each & every cache we find, if required as proof of the find. Also, there was no lid on the cache container, so nothing to stop rain water from entering. TFTC.

Find #1088
Moved from Uralla to Tamworth today. Stopped for a couple of caches on the way.
After setting up camp in the caravan park, we then set out in Whitey Whiskas Territory.
The caches were all mostly a quick find with good co-ords or a good hint.
This is a wonderful sculpture, lots of interesting information to be found here. Reading previous logs I'm not sure if it is in the right location. Favourite point given
Thanks for placing this cache Whitey Wiskas

Found coordinates easy enough. Needed to boost up geokid4 to grab the little thing TFTC
Had a little trouble locating and getting cache out - quite high - lucky took photo to see no spiders and could see the actual cache - needed little fingers and a tall helper to get out! - hopefully left in a better manner to get out for next geocacher!
Happy New Year
Happy New Year
Very tricky to extract. Found on New Year's Eve with visiting family 4Hornes and the kidlets Coolbug1 & dragon_slayer999
[?] Had been here before (to the waler) ,Did the new quiz ,thought I found GZ but could't find or retreive a cache !!! will try agian, when this fabulous play area is not quite as busy !!!!! thanks Whitey Wiskas..
Awesome fun this is our first orange cache it is so good we almost didn't find it but had great fun and success
Found at 2:40 PM GAFF1.
We were recently at Albany WA where the horses were shipped from. One theory as to the name was that they were ferried on whale boats to the ships, but that doesn't sound right to me. Also in a recent documentary about the horses, it was claimed that not many were shot rather than leaving them for the local Arabs who may mistreat them.
Worked out the clues - even the incorrect one and headed to GZ where thankfully the cache was quickly spotted.
It is a fantastic and well made sculpture.
Thanks Whitey Wiskas.
Feedback: Question B should read "19" and not "18". Also given the height of the cache placement, it should be a T of 2.0 - c-pprass would have had buckleys chance getting that one

Each year I like to get out of Brisbane for a week or so around my birthday in September. This year I decided to plan a road trip which would take myself, Captain Terror and catscatcat22 on a 2700km loop of southern Queensland and northern New South Wales. We were gone from the 18-24 September and visited Dalby, Miles, Tara, Surat, St. George, Lightning Ridge, Walgett, Coonabarabran, Tamworth, Uralla, Armidale, Maclean, Yamba then came home following the coast road.
This was the 42nd cache for me for the trip. Captain Terror and I really enjoy multi caches so I had to make sure that this one was on our list of must grab caches for the trip. Not saying that these were the ONLY caches we grabbed, just they were the ones that we didn't want to miss.
We started making our way across the park from the car when I noticed a lot of ducks. I managed to take a photo of them JUST before the Captain scared them away. Cats wrote down the answers as I read out the questions and the Captain found the answers. A lot of role swapping went on but finally the coordinates were correct.. though we had the right answer all along... someone just read the wrong answer, it had nothing to do with the nearby ducklings.
We headed over to the final waypoint and Captain Terror made the quick find. With our names in the logbook and all the ducks photographed it was time to head to the car and the next cache. Thanks for the cache Whitey Wiskas.

For Net88’s birthday this year, she, Captain Terror, and I went on a road trip of awesomeness, taking us out west from Brisbane.
A total of six days, our whirlwind adventure took us West through Dalby, Miles, Tara and Surat, and then South through Lightning Ridge (the farthest West I’d been!). Then we’d continue South through Walgett, Pilliga, Baradine, and Coonabarabran to Tamworth. Then it was through Uralla to Armidale, and Maclean to Yamba, and finally back to Brisbane.
We saw kangaroos, emus, baby emus, kookaburras, giant guitars, so many sunsets, and so many snacks, thanks to the help of Snackman.
A nice holiday from work, it was also a great excuse to pick up geocaches along the way.

I have found many geocaches at various war memorials. But never have I even seen a memorial to the Waler horses. I have heard of them, but they never seem to be celebrated in the same calibre as the servicemen who served. As such, I was mighty impressed to see this memorial.
From 18 to 24 September, Net88, catscatscats22 and I embarked on a road trip to see some different parts of Australia. We drove from home in Brisbane to Dalby, Miles, Tara, Surat, St. George, Lightning Ridge, Walgett, Coonabarabran, Tamworth, Armidale, Yamba and home again, a drive of over 2700 kilometres, a few nights camping and 122 geocache visits to guide us along the way.
As this is the only multicache in town, and we do like our multicaches, it was on the list. The area was pretty well deserted, which made for easy parking and such. We had a pen and paper, six sets of eyes and every chance to mess up what should be a simple set of questions. Firstly Net read out the questions, and I found answers while Cats recorded them. That didn't work out. I read questions, Net found answers, Cats wrote new numbers. Still doesn't work. I did some scribbling while the other two sorted out answers. Still no joy.
It was apparent one question was ambiguous and we'd settled on the correct answers, of which I'd underlined them on our sheet. But the check-sum wouldn't line up. On a triple check of the fourth set of digits, some underlined, some circled, some crossed out - we got the right co-ordinates. Finally!
Worth mentioning, however, was the family of ducks that walked past and distracted us while we crunched the numbers. Yes, there were photos. Now with our final location projected, we shot off. I saw some pylons and expected a suspension bridge over the creek - alas it turned out to be nothing anywhere near as interesting. Fine, just the geocache then, no fries.
At GZ I made a quick find in stark contrast to our galactic mess-up at the waypoint. Our initials were added, then all replaced as found - blending in quite well. Thanks for this geocache Whitey Wiskas Lest we forget the horses.

Tftc, beautiful sunny spring day so a walk in the park seemed like a good idea, found with the aid of the hint.
Had this one worked out for few weeks. Had the time to go look today easy find with geopartner. TFTC
Was saving this one for today. Ended up doing a mini road trip of my own. Thanks WW
Had this one worked out for a while, finally got a chance to have a look for it TFTC
TFTC putting in the correct coordinates saves a big walk! Great dayfor it with geocaching baby & assisters123 & weebindi!
We had half an hour and a cache with no logs before the Geocaching Road Trip event so this was our first stop. It felt like our brains were still half frozen from the week of cold weather because working out the co-ordinates took longer than it should. As it was, well done karsen for getting there first. TFTC Whitey Wiskas, great little multi in a lovely park.
