This cache hadn’t been found for over a year, but we thought we would give it a go today. No luck! Found two possible locations and the GPS agreed, however one place looks like someone may have been sleeping there and is quite disturbed and the other is overgrown.
We might give it another go if someone else has more luck, or if the cache owner checks and confirms it’s still there.
Thank you for bringing us here though! The same here is the whitest I’ve ever seen

Found with tassie expat. Not sure about the difficulty and terrain rating though. Nice spot, tftc
There is a signature that hasn't been logged from July, so could be a muggle. Otherwise, I can add to my unloved cache list (have plenty of days for a challenge back in Australia). Was a struggle to get in to it. TNLN TFTC
Found this. Such a quiet place but muggles appeared before we signed the log. Quickly replaced without signing. Photo for location proof
Last hide for me for today. Beautiful end of the day. Thanks for bringing me here.
Ninety Mile Beach is finally tagged on my 'bucket list' for this trip. But Toby is feeling a little sick with wheel hub problems after hitting a rut on Ninety Mile Beach. So we are driving a little slower. Cache missing here so arranged a replacement. Cheers
Its Wednesday - day Five -Kaitaia and Ninety Mile Beach with The Seagnoid and Toby.
Its another epic 4 week geocaching adventure with The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and Willam to the Far North. What an amazing place to explore. Lots of walks, gravel roads and sand. Lots of amazing trees, beaches and interesting POIs. Lots of kilometers traveled by vehicle and foot. Vehicle breakdowns, making new friends and catching up with old friends and family. Snagged a couple of FTF's, lots of lonely caches and the odd event along the way. Lots of cache maintenance and replaced caches on this trip. But what an incredible adventure!!. Thanks to all the CO's who have made this trip so memorable..

Found the string holding the cache in place but the cache itself was missing. The size of the loop in the string suggested what size the cache should be so we went back to the car to rummage around in the maintenance kit for a suitable replacement. Taped it to avoid the bright white standing out then spent about 10 minutes there untieing the knots and retie the new cache to the tree. There were muggles out there further along fishing but they didn't see me hard at work on my belly. Hopefully the cache going missing was just a oncer.
Day five of an awesome, tiring, long, three week holiday geocaching with Taybeedragon in the upper north. A day of mucking about the southern end of the Aupouri Peninsula. The whole trip comprised of hours of walking on sand, sliding down sand dunes, hundreds of kilometres of unsealed roads, car breakdowns, paddling out to islands, dolphins, goats, events, FTFs, weird boulders. You name it, we saw it. Lots of bisons, lots of cache maintenance, lots of sunscreen. A month is enough. I am glad to be back home. Except that now I have to write up my trip. We averaged just 20 caches per day, but that is still a lot of logging!
Merry Christmas from the Seagnoid!

Dnf due to a family of muggles camped on top of the same bush. Bailed so as not to destroy the cache.
Love this beach summered here as a kid. First time back in twelve years...still beautiful

I have set myself a challenge for this year to have at least the same number of caches on each day of my calender as the number of years I have been caching.
A nice drive out to this beach.
Cheers for the cache.

This was a weekend that had been in the planning for a little while and in the company of HKCB we headed up after work. the object for the weekend was to locate as many of the west coast caches as possible along with a couple of other mini missions including the northern most caches, and earth caches. All was going well until we hit a rock and punctured/ripped a tyre which in turn resulted in the weeknd being brough to a premature end and heading home effectively 24 hours early. We did however manage to collect approx 50 caches and a number of these had not been located for some considerable time.
I would like to thank all the cache owners for their work to keep many of these remote caches still in place.
This was the eighth cache of the trip and a nice quick find before continuing north. nice drive out to the beach along here
Thanks for the cache, Thanks for the placement

On a bit of a weekend mission with Cats&Dragons, with the goal to find the 2 most Northerly caches in NZ and while we were up there to find as many as we can along the West side of Northland. Unfortunately a bit of car trouble cut the weekend mission short and we had to pull the pin and head home about 10pm Saturday night. Still we had a lot of fun and saw some pretty awesome parts of our country, so a big thanks must be given to all the CO's who's caches we found. All up we located just shy of 50 caches and signed the logs either HKCB/C&D or HKCD.
Had searched for this one on my last trip up here but with a few muggles about I only managed a small search before giving up. Much more luck this morning as we had the place to ourselves. A small search had this one in hand.

We have been visiting & holidaying in the Far North for many years now but this is our first visit to the western side of Rangaunu Harbour. Fantastic white sand beach. Made quick work of finding the cache then Kiwiscot & Kiwi went for a swim. Thanks for bringing us here. We would most likely never have visited without geocaching.
Glad to finally get around to this one. My GPS keeps telling me this one is really close - to Rangiputa. Love the white sand in this harbour. TFTC.
Stopped in for a beach picnic.
This place was just great for both.

Beautiful spot for picnic and caching. Fairly quick find by team - monkey business, the Pud, Oscatello and Just Floundering. Tftc M&P
Headed out to the area for a New Year break and decided to check to see what was around (not expecting anything). Low and behold, saw the cache pop up on my phone.
Not a difficult find, but thanks for putting it there.
Cheers

Lovely spot beautiful coloured sand.. Nice easy find though a bit of a crawl. All in good condition.tftc
Nice easy find. We were up visiting from Whakatane. While on our way home from a successful days fishing we thought we would introduce our wonderful hosts to GeoCaching.
Wonderful day to revisit this lovely Beach. Last time we were here was an evening BBQ with loads of fresh fish on our friends kontiki at East beach. Nice wee ftf of which I thought would have already gone, but no just Hokiangler and BB while heading north on business.
