This has gone, there is a more southern mosque in Invercargil https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11958145
Tried to look for it, but it seems like somebody had taken the cache as the white lid with black tape was the only part left
On our trip thru NZ we visit a lot of places and see many spectacular locations.
This cache was one of our stopps thanks a lot to the owner.

We were walking to the Botanical Gardens and this cache was on our route. A muggle was tending the church vegetable garden whilst we discretely found the cache.
Made the most of a quieter day today to find this cache. The cache was pretty exposed and fresh glass around GZ so care was needed with the hide. TFTC #239
I had found the "partner" cache down the road, so came on to Clyde St; a few people around including one who was definitely not a student, getting ready for the Graduation ceremony.
Quick find, thanks for placing & maintaining this cache, 111PAF.

During our visit to Dunedin I wanted to visit one of the caches of November 2000. I decided to walk to the Botanical Gardens. This was a good decision, because I liked the garden very much and could find several other caches on the way.
Thanks for the cache and greetings from Anadraxel from Germany.

So this is the first one I have actually gone to look for to start this journey. Do you think I brought a pen with me though? Will come back to sign my name, but holy moly it's so damn cool!!
I'm in Dunedin for a few days for a conference and managed to take some time out for a walk around the city and find some caches. I haven't been back here since finishing studying 15 years earlier and it was interesting to see what has changed (or not changed).
I remember these areas and there were some familiar student behaviors in the surrounding areas but no problems with the cache here

Yay finally I Dunners. Parked car & heading off for a couple of caches & shopping before Pink. No one around today cache soon in hand & log signed. TFTC
Came past last night. Something just finishing inside. Had to laugh when I came back this morning. I didn't even see that tree last night! Duh! Quick find. Guess the students are still in bed as little sign of life at 10am. Thanks for the hide #3039
Quick look last night, but very little leaf litter, and no joy this morning either.
A day caching in the big smoke, with TT, SW, and GV, no smiley here though

I see this has now been replaced, but was it after we attempted at 9.45am on the 26th May. Might have to check again in the morning
Looked in most obvious spot, dug around a bit but found nothing. Moved leaves etc around, still nothing
I had come here a year or so ago but no sign of a cache. Today no problems, an instant find. Signed log and replaced with a bit more cover so that it's not quite as obvious. TFTC!
Easy find whilst walking around the streets I used to flat in when at uni! Thanks Ed for bringing me back!
We found the Vire St. tree on our way to our lodgings. Clyde St. wasn't too far away so off we went. Success once again. TFTH 111PAF
Heute haben wir uns Dunedin angeschaut , sind mit der Railway gefahren und haben einige Döschen eingesammelt. Danke fürs Legen. Diese Dose konnten wir gut finden
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh, greetings from Toronto, Canada. Lyn and I are cruise-caching our way from Florida to Hong Kong on board the ms Amsterdam.
Our stop today is at Port Chalmers, New Zealand. We took the shuttle bus into town. It was cold and windy here (49 degrees). I signed the logbook and returned the double contained cache to its hiding place. TFTC

Quick easy find on a quiet Monday morning before students come back for the year tftc
Stopped by for a revisit of the University, a few years have gone by since I attended! Fortuitously enough the cache was placed pretty much where we could find a car park.... it was meant to be!! TFTC!!
As previous finders have said, Uni holidays is the time to go for this one. Also not a Friday...I was unaware of the presence of the mosque. Funny what you don't see until someone points it out. Cache was just sitting in its hint object, so have covered it and is now not immediately visible.
Cache container was not hidden at all, just lying around ? No students atm, so logging was quite easy
The area appeared to be died out from students, just a few workmen cleaning carpets and things like that. Made it convenient for ReCached to look for the cache, which for some reason wasn't hidden at all. TFTC 111PAF!

Cache #2154
we embarked on a grueling and perilous journey into Studentville, only to find it in a really obvious spot.
Quick find on a drizzly day. Not many about just a few people clearing out their flats. Thanks for the hide.
Cache was sitting out in open. High muggle zone with lots of people waiting in cars near mosque. Retrieved and replaced where hint suggested. TFTC
What a bold hide! While walking by, there were two girls dancing about in front on their house. Awkward... anyway, once at the spot, I was expecting something tricky, but well, sometimes caches are that easy, right? TFTC!
I pulled in for a couple of quick finds on my way back to my motel. TFTC 111PAF.
This one was an easy find as it was sitting there uncovered for all the world to see! Tried to cover it up again but had trouble with very little camouflage around to hide it. Looks like a piece of rubbish lying there. Not sure how long this one will last!
down in dunnas for the night on a caching mission . Out with KJR ,
another night cache this one was uncovered when I found it so signed the log and re hid with more camo

Out on a mission with BCD and this was one on my list. A quick detour back into town before heading home. Not too many people around tonight and managed to find, sign and replace pretty quickly. TFTC
Easy find in a grotty student area. GC was found uncovered which made the find easy. Have recovered it to prevent it going missing.
Place was quite a shock but pretty normal if you are a student. Good fish and chips nearby.
Nicely hidden cache although broken glass among the leaves done careful. TFTC
Nice each find. Literally put my hand straight onto it. Had to wait for some worshippers to pass and a few students to admire Winston the geocaching schnauzer. TFTC
Found what was described in the hint, but no cache there. Didn't want to dirty my hands (god knows what I'll find) so didn't search for long
Found in a spare 45 minutes before the coach departs for Clyde. This cache was quite exposed when I found it, I hope I have managed to give it a bit more cover. TFTC
Last one for the day just to make it a nice round number. The road has very recently been resealed and this is the exact spot that the truck had some side squirt. So the place was covered in tar. Luckily most of it went over some branches and tree litter that has blown, fallen or been placed over the cache so there was just one splodge on the cache itself. TFTC #9915
Day # 1 in New Zealand on a geocaching holiday-trip with visits in Thailand, Australia and finally NZ .
I had so much looked forward to return to this beautiful country, and now I'm here again - awesome!
Spent the day caching around in Dunedin, trying to concentrate on the "old & the famous" and to cover all available cache-types in the region .
Mission accomplished!
At the end of the busy day I was happy to count 22 finds of 7 different cache-types (including my own event in the evening [^].
And nice and easy find.
It's a miracle that this exposed little thing is surviving for such a long time already!
Hey - Dunedin, you have awesome caches [^] [:X]! Almost all in great shape, especially the old ones. [^]
So thanks to all Dunedin Owners involved [:X] [:X] - two of you I was happy to meet in person at the event .
Cheers from Germany Sure i'll be back some day !
