Similar to other caches on this property, and the owner seemingly not being ok with the caches here, we decided against looking.
A dnf here too. I am glad my drive out here gave me one smiley, but only thanks to a previous finder who replaced the cache.
Great Northern escape 2022 Day 122. Yeppoon to Raglan via Rockhampton. I spent the morning around Yeppoon visiting a few more caches before beginning my journey South. It all took a bit longer than expected and I managed to find a few more caches than expected as well, so I pulled up early at a pub along the highway at Raglan. I'll get to Gladstone tomorrow and have a few more caches to do in the morning.
With four caches along this property line, I felt sure the land owner was involved, but one of the logs said otherwise. I stayed and looked here for a bit, but gave up when people started driving past.
Thanks.

This cache appears to be on the same property as the previous one we found. We suggest that the CO needs to either archive or contact the property owner regarding the placement of both of these.
Another beautiful day in Yeppoon. We headed out in the morning to search for some more caches and chase on a couple we missed yesterday. Some completed puzzles, a multi and traditionals were amongst the tally.
Thank you to the local COs for their work in developing and maintaining the caches.

9/7/21 Heading back to Mackay today after stayingin Yeppoon. Doing the tourist thing and getting some caches. TFTC SL
This one took a little while to locate, stamped log and replaced. Thanks to Nedandmrskelky.
TFTC,
We worked on puzzles in a computer session last night and came up with solutions to a lot of the Puzzle caches in this area.
After a drive from Rockhampton this morning it was time to go out and post a few finds.
Then time to look at some traditional. Looks like most in this area need CO intervention but there were a couple worth looking at.
Very clever, added a favourite and visited trackables.
Tomorrow will be a tourist day.

Out today to avenge some dnfs from last visit. Zeroed in on this one after a short search. Good hide. Tftc
Found it and it was jammed, extraction tool didn't help, blunt force did. Cache in good health and hiding too
Geokids favourite find so far Took 2 attempts, but he was determined!! Thank you Mr & Mrs Kelly!
Caching in and around the area, we picked up a few caches and this was one of them.
A great hiding place, took a while to extract the cache. Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

We found where the cache was hidden but were unable to access it, even with the tool. Excellent hiding place. The best we’ve done.
Could find this one. I did find a strong magnet with nothing attached, maybe it has gone missing? Had a good look around gz coming up empty handed

Today we decided to head out to Yepoon for caching & a nice sea change.
We found a good variety of caches in some amazing locations.
This took us awhile befor we found a TOTT it was then we knew we knew where the cache was.

Spotted the tool about 4 metres from our gz
Now we new what to look for
We worked how far cache should be by length of tool then went in search
And look we did and look and look
No cache to be found
Spent a good 20 minutes here
Either we had cache blindness here or perhaps farmer has removed it

H spotted the retrieval tool straightaway and then went looking for somewhere to use it. Easy find and extraction.
Well what can I say! I found a tool first and poked and prodded everywhere I could until I figured out the hide. I looked back at other logs and realised a tool was crucial for this hide and looked further afield and spotted something I could use. Long story short and much cursing the CO because in my eyes this was not a D1.5 cache I found the tool useless and resorted to my first one eventually grabbing the cache.
I went to put the tool back and discovered something attached to the fence that would have saved time, frustration and sweat. It has become detached from the tool and is the most critical part to be able to get the cache quickly. It will need to be reattached with tape possibly to stop it getting lost. Both this tool and my improvised one returned together.
I do think the cache owner has unfairly left out this crucial piece of information from the description as it is necessary for most cachers to be able to retrieve the cache.

Found it. Tgif. Bring your own pen. Think outside the box on this one. Found tool easy.
Found when out caching with PPrass and Temingi tricky to get the cache out but found an assistant tool neaby.
Thanks.

Now there was a tough cache - we just had no idea how to get that one out. It was then pointed out that there was a tool nearby to help with the extraction.
Thanks Nedandmrskelly.
Feedback: For a D of just 1.5, there should be a note i nthe description to tell cachers to use a tool that is positioned nearby.

In Yeppoon for seven days and head home in two. days. My plan was to achieve 50 finds whilst up here without any really difficult ones, due to a crook knee at the moment, avoiding the puzzles and any needing water craft. I have achieved my goal of 50, actually have surpassed that number and now just finding ones close to where we are staying.
Parked close and walked over towards GZ. Had a bit of a look and thought that once I had disregarded the gate and fence then the hide could be in one place only. I had my caching bag of tricks with me and I had the required implement with me. Quick retrieval and return of bison. Obvious spot to me as I have found a lot of hides in similar locations in the 11 years I have been addicted.
Signed log YOF as that is what I use on small and micro logs to save room on the paper. This is find #54 for this trip.

You know, some times the cache name gives something away about the cache. Well, this one doesn't. GZ came up easily, but HOW was not so. I found the tool nearby so all became clear. Once with the tool, easy extract, sign and return. Very clever Nedandmrskelly. Another favourite coming your way.
I loved this one, a fave from me. First I found the tool, hmmm. Then the geo partner had a squizz in the right spot and it all made sense. Tftc. SL and Vc. I also got a serendipitous pic of a native bee on the flowers here - bonus!
Spotted the "tool" fairly quickly and my non-geocacher cycling friend discovered the nearby likely hide for such an instrument to be of use. Very clever.

Seeing that I had a half day I have allocated to caching while here, temingi kindly took me around the "back" area to Nedandmrskelly's caches. As Ken had travelled out to Alpha to visit my earth cache, I though t return the favour and visit some of Ken's caches.
Well this is a tricky one. Glad I had temingi along for help, as I don't think I would have twigged to what to do. There is no guiding hint. So - there is a TOTT you'll need a few meters back along the fence to finish off this sneaky hide! Nice one, Nedandmrskelly!

mmm [?] ... ah ha - that might help
nice one Ned [^]
but will admit that I had some advice from another local cacher
without it ... guessing I would have been here quite a bit longer
(a little bit of guidance in the description would help
... failing that, maybe you could up the difficulty )
still a good cache
gets a favourite from me [^]

Stumbled upon the helpful tool nearby and took a bit longer to narrow down the field of possibilities for where the hide could be. Geokid guessed right and soon cache was in hand. Fav from me! Tctc
We got out of the car near GZ and GeoTM managed to put her foot in a hidden hole and crashed to the ground. She stayed sitting there while GeoAJ made the foray across the ditch to the cache spot. A quick look around and the geotool was in hand and a retrieval made. A favourite point from us for the clever hide. We love doing caches that are a bit more unique than the usual hides. And there were great views from here too. TFTC
Gotcha !!! But I had first decided to return with a cache retrieval tool and was on my way to the next when I spied the CO on his way home. A quick turn around and a short discussion followed. The required tool was found laying on the ground nearby and retrieval and signing log was done. Thanks Ned and TFTC.
Joint Ftf with red dwarfs @ 12.20pm. Got to gz and it didnt take long to find out where the cache was, but retreival was anothet story! We figured it out between us and after a few attempts had the cache in hand. A fp from me for the cool cache. Loved it! Gracias Nedandmrskelly
