16-Oct-18
Thanks to the latest finders for alerting us to the neighbour's concerns. We'll disable it while we decide whether we move or archive it. In the meantime, please don't try for this one, we'll pick it up next time we pass.

Like another cacher, I was right there, but missed it the first time I looked. After a loop around the area and counting many times, I stumbled across the cache. It was a bit hard to open and even more so to get closed properly. TFTC.

04-Jul-18
This had been elusive on a previous visit. This time it was a quick find. Left as was, face down. tftc

24-Jun-18
I made that far more difficult than it was, actually being within 5cm of the cache on my first sweep before discovering it on the second. TFTC.

27-Apr-18
What a fun cache! Not as easy as it first seemed, either - at least, not for me! Still heading towards my 2000th....TFTC

Great cache, in a fun container. Unfortunately weather has not been kind to the logbook. Great hide, TFTC!

18-Nov-17
No problem finding the cache. Retrieving the log took a little longer. Luckily lots of tree cover. Thanks very much steedandpeel

22-Oct-17
TFTC nice container. Log proved difficult to retrieve but all good in the end

03-Sep-17
Nice one we went the long way around to Pirongia today just to pick up this one thanks

03-Sep-17
What a nice wee tricky hide but got it found with abcdf

28-Mar-17
I over shot a farm gateway which would have been the best place to park the car on this mission. Ended up taking a turn into the nearby road and parking there and then walked back up the road GPS in hand. Figured the walk would do no harm. A older gentleman driver pulled over to check on me and offered me a ride. Got to love country folk. I guess I did look odd, a loan woman walking along a country road. Besides that I found this an easy find and enjoyed the effort that has gone into creating the cache Smile

15-Feb-17
Finally got it out, log was quite wet and dirty so didn't sign it. TFTC.

27-Nov-16
2nd time here, not sure why i couldn't find it last time as it was a quick and easy find today, loved the cache but didn't like the very big spider that had made its home in the log sheet, i managed to get rid of the spider and sign the log and return the nicely camoed cache, tftc

16-Jul-16
Definitely a lot of natural cover around. Cache was discovered quickly, and again had us smiling, once we were searching on the right side of the fence.

19-Jun-16
Was having a geocaching day with Nahkins. She was doing the driving as I have a broke elbow. We had 14 on our list. #3. We read the hint. Counted and started to scratch around but the prunings were too tough on our hands so Nahkins went back to the car and got gloves and and a mini rake. She was about to scratch by no 8 and I turned around and cracked up laughing as there it was . SL> TFTC> Smile

19-Jun-16
Out geocaching with NZPatoto (AKA 1 Arm Bandit.) I was doing the driving as NZPatoto has a broken elbow. We had 14 on our list. #3. We located GZ and #8 however the prunings were a bit tough on the hands. I return to car to retrieve gloves and small rake. I start scratching around only to hear laughter. Was it my little rake 1AB was laughing at, nooo she had turn around and found it. No need for gloves or rake. There it was sitting there waiting paitently to be found. Sometimes I think I over think things. Loved the container. TFTC. Big Grin

Quick find in the rain while visiting the area for the day.

Its criminal that we haven't found this cache before now since we were among the few people who got to enjoy the cake pictured in the description. We felt very fortunate to be able to share our 2000th Geocache find with Steedandeel at an event in Tauranga- an occasion celebrated by this hide. We have often teemed up and have enjoyed some great Geocaching adventures together such as the Hauraki rail trail, Maungatautri crossing, night Kayak event in Raglan, and more sedate family walks such as the Karangahake gorge walk, Long Bay coastal walk and Panmure basin circuit. A huge thank you to SteedandPeel for being so accomodating and for placing so many great, memorable and fun geocaches for the family to find. With any luck we will be able to share in your 3000th Geocache find as well. Maybe we will have to celebrate that with a cache of our own....

A nice little spot of caving later in the day meant that a quick stop on the way past in the company of 11HPG11 & Kiwis69, but first the odd cache and breakfast at the Thirsty Weta before heading out to Waitomo.
Nice quick find here and another themed steedandpeel maked off my local cache collection.

Thanks for the fun of the hunt and continuing to put caches out for us to all find Wink

19-Sep-15
Found with 11hpg11 & Cats&Dragons. First chance to get out caching in months, meaning there were lots of caching adventures, tall tales, mad mission exploits & general craziness to catch up on. Arrived here and joined the search a bit-half-heartedly, thinking for sure that the caching addicts/professionals would have the cache in hand within seconds but then I found it - not sure who was more surprised, me or my caching buddies lol!! Smile

19-Sep-15
Out on another little mission with CatsandDragons and Kiwi69. Thought we better stop off and show K69 what a cache looked like after her little break from caching life and these few caches were a great refresher course.

We all picked a spot and dug in and it was K69 who came up with the goods. Very appropriate cache container! Love it. No doubt the next milestone will be rolling round soon enough

Was meant to be heading up North for the weekend but a very last minute change of plans meant a earlier morning trip North instead. So now with the evening free, what else to do than a spot of caching. Pulled up to GZ and started hunting about. Started looking for a literal hint item initially but after locating nothing, had a re-think and started hunting again. Eventually found after a few minutes searching. Glad to get a nice big smilie on this one instead of heading home with a sad face.

Cache wasn't closed properly so spent a little time fixing the best I could.

02-Sep-15
A small search many thanks

29-Aug-15
1187 Smiles. Every one gets me closer to 2000. Been doing the bait stations on Pirongia so this was a stop on the way home. Took longer to find that it should but all smiles afterwards.

23-Aug-15
Found a nice cozy park across the road and quickly worked out the hint and found the smile.
TFTC

22-Aug-15
Was about to give up as couldn't find the previous cache hidden by S&P but persistence paid off. Talked to the fresians next door. TFTC

Found it after standing on it, oh well, it's still all good, well hidden and a nice big simile to see

We did this one 46 caches early at 1954 for us! Found ok, didn't have lid but log dry. TFTC!

02-Aug-15
12.20pm - After reading hint soon made find and were able to park within 3 metres of cache. SLTFTC

02-Aug-15
The show must go on... On the trail to finish a Geo License challenge, but fully ladden with the flu. Not a good look... But at least I'm wearing gumboots. With Gap (of Fap and Gap).

We had a couple of thoughts concerning the hint. But it was far simpler to just spot the cache container. A quick find of an interesting container... Does it have a lid? We didn't find one. TFTC.

01-Aug-15
Yahoo ftf. When I got to gz I thought oh boy how am I going to find this smiley face but soon in hand tftc
