Was on a recovery mission to Meekatharra when the plan went out the window 5kms out of Dally. The great people of Dalwallinu and Pithara came to my aid and provided help. While waiting, tried for this cache twice but no luck. Messaged CO and was kindly provided a hint that had me looking for a different type of connection. So as well as a good feeling I leave Dally with an extra smiley. Here's to the girls at the servo, the guys at Tractus, the truckies and farmers that stopped to help and to the CO. Country hospitality! And by the way, the best wildflowers were between Wubin and Payne's Find. TFTC.
In your old stamping grounds Shazz6611 so couldn’t go past this one without looking. Mr Adina-he went barking up the wrong tree but Mrs Adinache knew exactly where to look thanks to the very familiar catchphrase. Thanks Shazz6611 for the cache.
Just over 7 months since we left home and stated our lap, just over half way in our original time allocation and not even close to half way around the country… 25,000 ish km done, gosh we have seen a lot, but there is so much more to see.
Perhaps if/we I stopped looking at so many rocks, trees and beaches we wouldn’t be taking so long…then there are the flowers, old things and street art that keeps catching our attention.. maybe it’s the Geocaches… or the time we have spent prospecting, enriching our lives but not finding anything of material value, it’s all about the journey not the possessions. What ever it is, we are having a bloody brilliant time and I wouldn’t change a thing!
The last few weeks have been a bit blah with some bad news from the east, apologies for the late and generic log, catch up time a lot harder than I thought, I really need to make a concerted effort (even in difficult times) to stay on top of logs answers and photos.
Thanks for being one of the caches we found in the past few weeks.

Out with familysteiner. Log book full. Familysteiner has replaced log book. Very clever once we figured it out. Tftc
Had to PAF. Better numbers are 555 and 729. Replaced the full logbook too. Tftc
Found it. TFTC shaz6611. I couldn’t make the connection with the hint and went barking up the wrong tree. Had to use a PAF Card, then I got the connection.
Probably a bit late in the day to be looking for caches - it was getting dark. No luck this time....may try again in the morning before leaving town.
A quick find once the penny dropped.
The log book is full.
TFTC shaz6611 this is find #11298 for us.

On our way to Morawa for speedway but stopped in for a break and some geo caching ?? thank you ?? there was no space left to sign.
Now that we're home I can read all the logs. Are the coordinates really 25m off?! If so, would it be possible to correct the coordinates?
Easy find once the GPS calmed down away from the building. Need to replace the log, I used the last space. TFTC
On our 820km round trip caching/maintenance run we thought we would grab some of the Dalwallinu caches. This was our first stop, it had us searching for awhile and I know it said that the people in the office are aware of the cache but over the years of trying to search without being seen to be searching it’s a funny feeling knowing you are being watched lol. After about 5 minutes I spotted what i needed to zero in on the cache and soon had it in hand. We added our names to your log and returned your cache back to where it resides. TFTC shaz6611
Arriving into town we parked nearby where the geopups could watch us from the car. We searched for longer than we should have, I'm sure, but axell33 made the find as we felt like the whole town was watching us! We started out with the geopups on our adventure for today! Which coincides with day 1 of stage 2 of the Covid 19 plan. Leaving home at 0330h in Baldivis we drove an 820km loop. Our main aim was a maintenance check an Watheroo, taking in sights and scenery of Joondalup, Gingin, Badgingarra National Park, Watheroo National Park, Gunyidi, Dalwallinu, New Norcia, Bindoon back to Baldivis, arriving at 2030h. What a great day! Thanks for the cache and greetings from Baldivis.
Hunted around for a bit then a friendly local pointed us in the right direction. Coordinates are 25 metres out.

A little time this afternoon to continue the search for lost Jewels. The mystery is getting real.
On my Retirement practice, heading north to warmer temperatures. What better than finding the occasional cache on the way.

First stop on my way to a crazy caching expedition. Had a DNF here before so glad to turn this one into a smiley TFTC shaz6611
Was just about to give up on this one when two friendly locals emerged to inquire as to whether I was geocaching. Turned out to be the CO's and were very generous in giving a hint as to its local. Where else???? Tftc great hide.
Being a public holiday, I took the opportunity to take a road trip to Dalwallinu for caches, LGAs and clues. Unfortunately I couldn't make the connection here today.
The place was suitably deserted on Saturday afternoon.A nice quick find

pug002 found it after those pesky GPS's took us every but which way. In the meantime had some lovely conversations with a delightful lady in the centre. The last log I read woke me up from my sleep. Read the sign! TFTC shaz6611. Lovely town and friendly people, off to do the multi now. Oh yes and LKA which we always manage to struggle with. Glad to report we found it!
Tftc. Met our first fellow geocachers and the lady at the info centre was lovely. Nice hiding spot.
Out with B12 claiming smiles through the wheatbelt.
Stopped here hoping to get a selfie with CO; TFTC!

A planned road trip to Jurien Bay with a different route than normal, nearly triple the kilometres to grab some smileys. Some great caches, some outstanding caches and unfortunately some just not there. Beautiful scenery right on our doorstep we just need to go and find it and how great is geocaching for that. Tftc
Camping trip up north in Kalbarri. Did a big detour on the way home to pick up some more needed LGAs. Found this one after a good search and observing the hint. Phone had me 7m away so had to extend search radius . tftc sl tnln
Day 10 of my trip from Perth, Exmouth ,port Samson , Newman , Mt Fisher back to Perth around 6500km trip ... Thanks to all the COs for placing caches along my journey ......
Second time and still no luck GPS all over the place might need a hint from the CO

Stuck to the 5 minute rule, and timed out on this one, maybe another day I will have another search.
Great to explore this lovely small town. And the staff were indeed encouraging. We made the connection happily and then continued on our way to the rogaine at Ninghan.
After spending the weekend at Ninghan Station taking part in the State Rogaining championships with my daughter, we headed back to Perth grabbing several caches along the way. Took few minutes but eventually found the cache. TFTC.
Headed back up to Geraldton for another caching run (third time this year). We started off by picking up as many caches as we could in the wheatbelt on the first day before arriving in Geraldton. The next day we headed up to port Gregory and Kalbarri and the highlight of the day would have to be be the pink lakes in port Gregory. Day 3 saw us caching in Geraldton picking up some we missed last time and clearing up a few of our DNFS here before adding some more DNFS to the list. Day 4 we headed off to mount magnet picking up some caches along the way till we arrived there. I must say the caches in mount magnet were quite tricky to find and it was also a stinking hot day so we didn't get to find all the caches we were hoping to find there. The last day we cached along the coast on the way home. Once again it was stinking hot and we missed doing a lot of the caches we hoped to find plus the flies were driving us crazy but we still got to visit some great places. Most of the caches we looked for we did find and we came across some very sneaky well made cache containers along the way. Thanks to all the CO,s for placing there caches for us and all the other geocachers to find.
We stopped in Dalwallinu for lunch and when we had finished I checked the GPS and saw that this one was only 100m away so while the cup of tea was being made I headed to to grab this one. Being a Saturday afternoon there were not too many people around so it was easy to make the grab and get back for my cup of tea.

My partner called to tell me that she had just made a purchase over the internet, and the goods were located in Geraldton, so I hatched a route to grab as many country caches as I could along the way.
I had to give myself a fairly strict time limit searching for caches today and this one proved too elusive. I will be back for it.
TFTC shaz6611.
shaz6611, I had to DNF your cache Discover Dalwallinu on 3/10/2016.
