Another day, another cache. Waking up early today... I thought it might be a good idea to move along and pick up some caches before the day and work traffic settles. After finding the nearby puzzle cache, and needing a second cache for the day.... because I like to do these silly little challenges. So all in all the cache was quickly spotted at GZ, I love a quick find. Thanks for the cache and the little adventure.

So much green and as they say green green is my valley or shed which initially attracted my attention - then looked at GPS! As it was a LetThemEatCache event day, todays mission was to hunt down caches in the hood. kbucky and I quickly found on this rather warm day. Thanks for the puzzle and outing today.

After rushing into areas like this and often going to far, I stopped early and looked around. Found in the first place I looked - very excited. Thanks for the hide.

This was not my intended cache tonight, as I was hoping to pick up a nearby solved puzzle before getting dinner. Unfortunately there were too many muggles there. No muggles here though. I can’t believe how secluded it is!

I had a great time finding your cache mazza-g. Thank you so much for placing it.

31-Aug-22
Today off for an early morning walk, I selected Beaumaris area and this was one of the targeted cache. I arrived about 6 am, with the sun still below the horizon and the only people around was the odd walker/running and lots of bike riders.

I was able to get across the road easy enough, but could image this being a lot harder in an hour. Took way too long to find this one as I walked into the bushes too far. After giving up and heading out I saw it and was able to sign the log book.

Thanks for the cache Mazza G

Thanks mazza-g for this one. We’ve had our eye on it for sometime & decided to come back during the cooler months, non weekend, sunny day etc…. Also wouldn’t explore unless our slytherin friends are tucked up & napping.
Fun & great little hide.

Another new LGA!

Sandyofthesea and I took off from Perth at the start of April to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. How good is this country!!

mazza-g, I found It's not easy being Green today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

15-May-22
What a great spot for a cache! Very well done.

I was following my geocache compass but it took me waaay too far into the scrub. Luckily I found it on the way back out. Signed log and returned the cache to its hiding spot in the evening twilight. It was good to get a find after so many months without any caching, maybe this will get me out and about again.

Cheers!

Lots of spiderwebs! But that did not deter us, cache was quickly found and signed.

Pi Day!

An early start to a public holiday inevitably leads to post event shenanigans.

When n0w0rries dropped me back where I'd left the car, we'd walked a pier, climbed to a couple of smileys and done some maintenance on a venerable cache in need of a little TLC. But I still felt like a walk before heading home.

So, off down the Bay Trail.

I passed this one before I realised, so looped back for a look. Battling through the gossamer threads, I managed a fairly quick find thanks to the hint.

Thanks, mazza-g

I needed to take a break from the last couple of days of planning so I teamed up with OzHockeyChick for some post work caching.

A nice quick find after battling the many webs of the 8 legged inhabitants. Congratulations on your first hide.

Thanks mazza-g for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

Find #2724 for me and the last of 14 finds for the day. Found at 3:11 pm with my friend virbull and dog Bonnie. Today I took a day of annual leave to travel from Bendigo to visit my friend who now lives down this way in an area which I rarely get to, and I was so happy to see the sea again after 2 years of covid lockdowns keeping me away. When I saw that this cache was owned by you, mazza-g, it was a must-do cache since as you know, I've found all of your caches around Bendigo so it was time to fine one of your other caches further afield. For this one, we parked in the carpark across the road and luckily found a break in the traffic straight away allowing us to cross the busy road safely. Once at GZ we made a quick find. Thanks so much for bringing us here today mazza-g and thanks for the cache!

18-Feb-22
Pretty easy find. GZ was obvious, just took us a few minutes to find the cache…. Our last cache for the day and a great day geocaching along the bay here with my great friend Claybol who had driven down fro Bendigo for the day. TFTC .

I had just enough time to grab one more cache before school -o’clock .. the witching hour when the traffic becomes insanely busy.. .. hmm long grass .. and following the hint the cache was quickly uncovered .. thanks Mazda-g for placing the cache

Thought I knew what I was looking for, but no luck this time.

13-Oct-21
It's been quite a while since I did more than a handful of caches in a day. Now that we have a 15 km.s limit, there are more that I can do. Today I mainly targetted caches that were good for the Peaks souvenirs. This was a nice quick find.

My thanks to mazza-g for the cache.

Our last stop along the bay trail before turning back to Sandy. The cache is in one of those places you'd think there'd be mosquitoes, but no mosquitoes thankfully. Quick grab and sign. It was nice to have a place to hide to sign the log. TFTC mazza-g

After a very enjoyable lunch with a friend at the nearby Rickets Point Tea House, I dropped by to grab this easy cache and fill in another blank on my day/month calendar thingy Smile
Luckily for me I'd managed to get a parking spot across the road from the tea house (2hrs free) while my friend paid some astronomical fee to park in the carpark nearby!

Thanks for find #1671

Nice little hide on a new year day. Thanks!

Out with geo kid 1 after making our first find of 2020 nearby and headed home when we decide to find another quick cache. Parking the car in the side street, we make the short walk to GZ.
After a short search, the find was made. We are about to stamp our name into the logbook when we get spotted by the boys in blue. We approach them and have a conversation. I ask what made them stop, to which they replied “we thought you were 2 men going into the bushes”. Well how ridiculous to think that I look like a man and my teen daughter who was wearing a skirt looked like one too.
This area does feel sus with a trail going deeper into the bushes. I wouldn’t want to come here at night.
Nice to see the council investing in new trees on the grass verges here. We need more trees.
Cache and log in good condition.
Thank you for the cache mazza-g

Thanks for the cache mazza. Quick and easy find. Which was not where I thought it to be. Cache looks to be all in good order.

05-Nov-19
Found with LetThemEatCache (which will be our shared caching name, once I retire this membership). Nice strip along Beach Rd, just opposite Rickett's Point. We used to come here when we lived in Kensington. We loved it so much we moved here! Thanks mazza-g for the placement.

05-Nov-19
On a wonderful long walk close to home today, combined with picking up some caches that I have neglected collecting, til now. Geohubby (Caches_High) got this one, as I was grossed out at how much poo was at GZ. Nothing against the CO, it's probably a well-hidden spot along a stretch of road that provides some cover for when, you know, you have to go! Be warned! Hopefully it will have all washed away by the time the next geocacher makes an attempt. Thanks anyways, mazza-g!

29-Sep-19
Nice way to finish our walk. Easy find just a few metres off the path

31-Jul-19
Not exactly where I was expecting it to be.
Went deep before reading the logs.
I’m sure there’s a bit of cache creep happening here.

For my birthday decided to jump in car with geo family and head to the beach.
Thought would park close by and head down the trail to see what we could find.

27-Jul-19
Found out in open near where I think it should be, so when finished my logging I placed it into a nook where it fitted very well, all is in good condition here, Thanks mazza-g

27-Jul-19
I made this harder than it needed to be. Searched deep into the bush as my gps said so... but found closer to the footpath.
Cache is lucky not to be trampled looking at the condition of GZ.

Both my phone and gps had the GZ in a crazy place, about 30 meters from where I eventually found the cache. I used the hint and logic to find this one. More brown than green.

11-Mar-19
Easy to spot the green bit but not so easy to spot the cache.
Found it eventually.
Thanks mazza-g.
Chiefton!!!

14-Jan-19
Found in the company of G of GJMMelb and quiet1_au. G found it after Q and I had already given up as coffee was calling from the nearby cafe. TFTC

13-Jan-19
This one took lochb, G of GJMMelb a long time to find - we almost DNFed it but luckily G checked a spot from a different direction and there it was!

Some refreshments were in order so we walked down to check out the cafe at Rickett's Point - something I've been meaning to do for some time but usually when I'm in the area it's for snorkelling. It was worth the visit and hard to get some members of the team to come away from our seaside table to grab a few more caches as we headed for home.

13-Jan-19
Caching in the area with Lochb and Quiet1_au. We had a couple of DNFs already and I was keen to actually kind this one. It was reasonably warm and the nearby Cafe was inviting. The hint gave some idea but there was still quite a wide area of dense bush to search. Eventually I spotted the cache in place in keeping with the clue. Logged the find and then headed off for ice-cream and a drink. Thanks mazza-g
