Had a good hint around but was hard to know where to look without a hint. No luck this time.
A previous DNF which we hoped to avenge today but no luck. Last time the cache had gone AWOL but it’s probably still there today - we just couldn’t find it! Another time…
Very cool spot. Next time I’ll bring a picnic for at the lovely table on the way
GPS was bouncing around a bit so ended up using the hint to get us close. Worth bringing a picnic to enjoy on the unique table. Going to try shirt cut across the mud flats back, hopefully it’s not to boggy
Might be a good idea if the owner checks this one out - think it might have gone AWOL!
Heading up to Northland to meet up with the kids for the holidays. Parked up for the night at Tanners Point reserve. Up early for a beautiful stroll along this Walkway with the dog. Found 3 of the 5 caches. No joy here. So many places to hide the caches. Felt a bit sorry for the tree with lots of crumbly earth around it’s roots.
Lovely walk but a shame I only found 1 out of 5 caches here. I will try the others again on way back
Unfortunately this one beat us as well today. Ah well, we had better luck later on. We'll be back to look for this one sometime!
After stopping at a cute seat in the sun for some snacks the final cache was spotted by Little One, a great find and without his keen eyes we could have been here a lot longer .
Found this one easily enough. Spoke to one of the volunteers and asked if it might be moved slightly as they are worried a dead branch may fall. Thanks to the walkway people and also the cache owner.
Previously I'd come to Tanners Point to attempt to find the Hobbit Tree - without success. At the time I didn't realise this cache was here having not saved it offline.
Today I brought KrystalKath along for the walk with Tama the geohound to appreciate this lovely setting and views.
This was a relatively simple find.
Love these giant old Pohutukawa.
TFTC lovely spot for a walk.

The tracking was confusing I tried to find it but to hard because the tracking system kept on moving around and when I was at the spot we looked everywhere and did not find it.
Went for a quick walk this morning with geokids and dog (who was kept on the lead) to enjoy the walkway and pick up the geocache while in the area. When we got to the end of the track I mentioned the clue and one of the kids(a local) led us straight to the spot.
Today we where on the way from Tauranga to Coromandel. We made a break and this nice little walk! Thank you so much for your work to build this walkway, it is really beautifull!
The box we could find where we looked for andwe had reached the end of the walk!!
TFTC and greetings from Germany!
For all 3 together we give here a FP.

This was the trickiest of the three to find but we soon had it in hand. This is a lovely track with lots to see and deserves a favourite point. TFTC
What a lovely afternoons walk.
Cache was tricky to find, but worth the search.

Now at the end of the track my daughter comes up with the goods. Cache in good condition here. This has been a really nice walk along here. Totally enjoyed it. Thanks for all your cache placements.
What a gorgeous location! LOVED the picnic table we saw just before we arrived at GZ too... definitely worthy of a trip back this way. Found GZ quite easily and then had to do a little bit of hunting to find the cache. Tricky little hiding place which 'The Mr' found. Thanks so much for bringing us to this area... really enjoyed the walk and look forward to returning.
Looks like the walkway is coming to an end.... or is it still work in progress. Would be lovely if it looped around. TFTC and a intro to the area.
Right, so soon after the last cache, the walkway deteriorates significantly. I am now wearing the wrong footwear and am struggling a bit. Looks like the local volunteer who looks after this stretch has abandoned the project, or the company paid for maintenance ran out of budget! Much slower progress to this one, but the cache was found easily.

out and about for the afternoon and on the way home we called in to tanners point to find the 4 caches left there to find.
Awesome work by the volunteers keeping on top of the trackwork.
High tide meant no short cuts, great walk!!

Parked the car at the end of Moana Ave so mum could look at the view while I wandered off to find this little series of 3. A bit of a stretch for me but managed it, I think I am more of a hobbit tree height. Wandered back along the beach and back on the road again. TFTC
Down from Tauranga for a day's caching to celebrate the sunny spring weather. A magnificent area indeed. Great clue led to an easy find. Cache all good. Left a TB. TFTC
Found after a lovely afternoon walk along this beautiful track. Perfect spot at the end for a picnic with an awesome picnic table available. Timed the tide perfectly so no wet feet for us. The dog however had other ideas! Another great cache in another lovely location. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC!
Its Mothers Day and as I had done the dutiful son thing yesterday I managed to have a free day, so with permission from the better half I had a morning free (with a promise to be home mid afternoon). So with that in mind it was time to hit the area and see what I could scrounge up in a bit of a clean out between Waihi and Te Puna without too much work.
So Setting out at 6am (slept in) this was my fifth for the day as it had always been on the to do list. Thanks to all the cache owners that work to make this an enjoyable day out in the Autumn sunshine. All logs signed C&D or Cats&Dragons.
I recall when there was only the one cache in this area which seems so long ago. Having collected the caches in waihi that I was after it was time to locate these ones. While the tide was on the way in, it was a pleasent walk along her with some amazing views of the sea like glass.
Thanks for the cache, Thanks for the placement

Beautiful Peninsula with some fun caches, time your trip to match high tide for best photo opportunities
Sorry to come to the end of this very pleasant easy walk !
Took a short while to suss out the cache hiding place ,,,,
Was a bit worried when I read someone had to do some monkey business here !
Then I looked up and saw a likely place ....and managed easily to do the find and sign ! Phew !

Nice quick find here tonight weather was a little bit rough with a few passing showers. Stopped here on my way home from Auckland decided it would be a nice evening stroll around the coast.

A lovely walk from the boat ramp with the bonus of 5 great little caches. TFTC
Thoroughly enjoyed this walk!! Took a wee while to find tho haha.. thanks heaps
2275 Enjoyed the walk around the track. This is the end Time to head back and see the views from a different direction. Thanks for bringing me here.
We have done this walk before but never to the end so on such a nice sunny day and a cache at the end to reward us it was all good TFTC
Was finally able to head out for a full days caching, as caching time has been somewhat limited over the last few months. With the weather not being overly flash, the general idea for the day was to locate some of the caches on the shorter walks on the Eastern side of the Kaimais plus a few others along the way. The usual early morning start was also delayed due to a rugby game I had to watch, so didn't get out the door til around 7.30am.
Through out the day the weather gods were actually very kind, bar the strong wind, with only a few heavy showers during the morning. The caching gods were also mostly on my side with only a couple of DNF's at the near the end of the day. All up a great day out and some cool sights along the way, and managed to get home just after dark and before a big storm came through. A big thanks to all the CO's for the placements.
This was find #20 for the day.
Ran to this cache first and decided to grab the other two caches on the way home. This walkway is going to great once all the plantings take hold. Really enjoyed my time here. Cache found after a bit of a search.

Well that's the end of this walk, and a jolly nice walk it is. Thank you for bringing us here.
The end of the line to date. A good leg stretcher, and a nice quick find. Now back to the one I missed.... Cheers.
A night at The Mount, a short days cache from Waihi Beach. A nice warm sunny drive, unusual for this time of year.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Yay mission accomplished. A fab walk. Many thanks for bringing me down here. TFTC
And the last cache in the series. An awesome spot but took quite a bit to locate the cache. Hint didn't help as there were so many of the hint items around. Check other logs and then happened to look in the right direction and saw something suspicious. Aha, found it. I really enjoyed this spot.
The tide was up so the water lapping against the rocks and tree trunks was awesome.
Just after I started back toward the car it started pouring. I got absolutely soaked. Didn't see another soul on the track.
Thanks for the series willbuild.
Cheers

Nice to go to the end of the track. We were lucky to see a fat kereru in the trees too. Incredible demonstrating on the power of nature and rock splitting. Thanks for bringing us here
Thanks willbuild for a great series of caches ....most enjoyable and look forward to the walkway being extended found the cache all good signed and replaced tftc
1.15pm. This one took us quite a while and had actually given up when I spotted something that was worth a last look. Should have looked there first! A favourite point again for this great little track.
Thank you. David and Noeline.

Had no idea that this path was even here. Such a neat little project and amazing views and scenery to go with it. Great walk and will be returning someday. TFTC!
We had visited Waihi Beach a few days ago, but wanted to return with our bikes to ride on the cycle way to Bowentown. Tomorrow we are leaving Waihi so this was the last chance to do it. The temperature seemed a little bit cooler this morning, but the sea breeze (which was pretty strong in exposed places) was also welcome when the sun came out.
While I was wondering whether I needed to carry on past the "track end" sign, StreetWalker got stuck in and found the cache. We had removed a bungee cord from the previous cache as it there wasn't enough room for it, so put it on this container. Thanks for the pleasant walk and TFTC.

Greetings from Wellington. Found on a lovely evening walk with the wife and the dog.
Soon spotted something suspicious and had the cache in hand.
It is a very beautiful area and we really enjoyed the walk. We would never have known about the walkway without the caches. TFTC.

Thank you so much Willbuild for these 3 placements, a fantastic walk - with so much birdlife to enjoy along the way! Thank you .
Got to GZ & the first thing I spotted was the sign telling me this was the end of the track which I thought must have been a loop.Pays to take some notice of the description so now bugger it I have have to walk back again. Now for the cache,i spent ages looking & all my head was saying the last thing you need here is a DNF.GPS wanted me fairly close to the water but I discarded that knowing you have been at this game too long to make mistakes like that so higher ground became the order of the day & you have no idea how relieved I was to spot it.Thanks willbuild, been a bit of a mission for me but well worth the effort.
12pm - Just enjoying the location then spotted something blue on track and realised we had come to the track end. Read description and thought blue toy what are you doing here, looks like something from a cache container. Spot on after reading hint. Thanks Willbuild for bringing us here. SLTFTC
Dot Day... Day 26 of a hopeful 50-day caching streak... Sharing the challenge with Gap (of Fap and Gap).
Upon reaching the end of the track, we immediately began eyeing the possible hiding places. This had potential to cause some grief... But a small, escaped trinket caught Gap's attention, and the cache was located quickly after that. TFTC.
We hope the locals get their wish to have this track linked back onto the road. This is an impressive project.

What a great trail - has a lot of diversity - gardens, hills, broadwalks, houses. My partner and I decided to run the track - a lot of fun! We took the tb as planning on going to the airport cache next!
We returned here for this end cache - junior on his runner bike, me walking. The tide was right up so it wasn't tempting to take a shortcut like the last time we were here. Nice hide! It took me longer than it should, to find! We didn't pick up the TB as we might hinder it's race to scotland. Thanks for leading us along this cool walk.
At the end of the walking track it was this cache to find. Love the walk and hope that the people around here will be able to finish of a nice round walk.
We are greatfull to walk over their land and this piece of coast. Great. Left TB

What a lovely walk and thanks to the volunteers for all the work they are doing. It is a lovely place for people to visit and I loved the birds and some to the gardens on it TFTC
A lovely end to a series of caches. Visiting friends so good to see the area.

On our first walk out this way, we stopped at the paddock and looked down to the area where our hosts, who had bought a house close by, had helped plant new plants along the walkway under construction.
It was great to return this time and walk to the end to find this cache. Thanks for these new placements.

Last cache of the day - the sun is long gone so the torches are working over time. The board walks are nearly finished and we can see it won't be too much longer till the track is continued. Found this after a quick search and dropped off a TB. Now which way to the car [?]
No worries finding this beauty. TFTC Looking forward to the rest of the walkway once it is in place.
TFTC! Made it to the end of the line....through the hail and rain. A bit slippery under foot in some places, as the latter segment of track is still undergoing construction, but a very cool place to explore. Apparently the boardwalk in this segment will be screwed on soon, but at the moment the boards are just resting there, so take care, and walk in the centre of the boardwalk.
We were planning on visiting this area this afternoon and the notification came out while out and about. We changed our route to hopefully get here before anyone else but were not fast enough. We were beaten to FTF by Curriepie as she streaked past in the other direction just moments before our arrival. Nice to meet you if only briefly. Congratulations on your FTF! We look forward to returning to the area as the track is lengthened.
Really enjoyable afternoon walk. Well worth a favourite point for this series of caches along a beautiful section of the inner harbour. TFTC
