Couldn't find this one after looking in all the likely spots, could easily be there but lots of growth everywhere, and with the family waiting in the car I thought I better not take much longer. Will come back another day.
Thought we’d give this a go despite the DNFs and maintenance tag. Search around for a while with no luck. Be great to get a CO check and confirm. Got to see a few aircraft take off while searching so it was still a fun visit.
Stopped and had a good look around but couldn't find it unfortunately. Lots of likely places or maybe it's just all a bit overgrown at the moment. Will be back to find it another day!

It's bit overgrown and also too wet to take much time for a find sadly. This will have to wait for another day.
Thanks - a nice big box! I brought my girls for a morning walk along here from our campground, to see if we could see any aeroplanes taking off. The wetlands walk and views of the lake were an unexpected bonus.
Up with the family to celebrate Christmas. Except the family are not up, partly due to staying up to watch the fireworks on New Year's Eve, last night. Me, I hit the hay. Which meant even though I was still late for bed and lost a bit of sleep due to some VERY loud banging noises from some of the rockets, I still woke up at my normal time of 5am. Had breakfast, loafed around.... still no one seems enthused with getting out of bed. Oh well, may as well go geocaching.
This is an old stomping ground of my Mum's, so I have been here and hoovered up every cache. And yet there's *more!* I was thinking I was going to have to write up that with a cache title like this it is a shame that the cache container isn't a bucket, but wadda ya know! it *is* a bucket . Favourite! I am from Marlborough and down there very few cache hiders place anything bigger than a smaller small, so I make a point of hiding bigger containers. There was a book in the cache, so I had a read of that, and got caught by muggles as I was half way though. *"Geocaching"* I said. *"What's that?" "It's a treasure game. To get kids away from the Xbox and the TV and out exploring the real world. Including us big kids." "Ah"* Oh well. No convert there.
Head back home. Two have gotten up. The rest are all still lights out!
Merry Christmas and a cachey New Year from the Seagnoid!

Nothing wrong with the cache. Could the Cache Owner please post an owner maintenance to remove the Needs Maintenance attribute.
Nice spot. Quick find while passing. Nice to get an easy one after the previous one. All good here. TFTC
I happened to get two days in Rotorua for work and was able to make a little detour here early in the evening to find a couple of caches. The wind was pretty nippy so I didn't waste to much time mucking about. Its always nice to find a large dry cache with plenty of swag. I made sure to cover it well like I found it. Thanks for the cache.
Love finding a nice big cache! Unfortunately no TBs as cache states. Did some trash out along the way! Tftc
What a fantastic bucket! Took an enormous TB (no idea where I can take it!) and finally found a suitable place for my beloved pilot wings TB. TFTC
Really nice walk with wife and dog.
Bitterly cold southerly blowing.
Traveller bit large for us to take.
Hope he flies off soon:-)

Found the monkey gave him some coins to help him on his way & a kiss n cuddle. Happy journeys:)
Quick find, but out in the open. Hid better than found. No trackable in there. I dropped one. Hope it doesn't go missing too.
On dark after a big torrent of rain. No one around so I hope I hid it well enough.TFTC
Out for a nice stroll with a friend. Decided to do the Hannah's Bay Cache's. Nice quick find. Thanks.
#314. Found after a quick search. Couldn't stay long to inspect it further after logging as there were people approaching walking their dogs. TFTC.
Nice walk in the rain. Cache hide spotted. Signed as a plane took off. Now of the the Polynesian pools for a soak before attending the event tonight.
Found it quickly but had a bit of fun extracting it from it's hiding hole! thanks for the walk
awesome size and easy to find for our kids starting out. We left a book but didn't take anything this time.
Quick find by the junior who is new to this find #10 on her first cache hunt. Awesome to see a decent container. Tftc
Every junior cacher loves this type of find! WOW! Did a swap and dodged some muggles on a power walk My 1st day as a geocacher (I'm 11 years old). TFTC with crazy's and maizoj and drimdram101
AWESOME!!! Great finding caches that aren't nanos, eclipse & bisons! Every kid cacher loves this! TFTC
Found on an afternoon family walk. Excellent hide. Cache in great condition. Signed log. Took nothing left nothing. Tftc
Went for a morning walk to the area.
Great area and nice scenery.
Good cache here
Great area and nice scenery.
Good cache here
Thanks. Our first BIG find. Nice one for the younger kids as they were able to find it themselves (once put on top of the spot).
#3209. We are staying in Rotorua for a few days visiting family. So had the chance early this morning to do a few local geocaches. I thought there were quite a few geocaches in the Hannahs Bay area but discovered later that many of these must have been archived since July. Finally a cache that was still present. Should have been easy to find but after 5 minutes I really was starting to wonder about my geocaching skills. If you can't find a large bucket what can you find. Anyway went back to basics and searched close to the coordinates and soon found it in its sneaky hiding spot. Signed the logbook and replaced as found. Thanks for hiding it here. One trackable removed.
Quick find. Awesome area to walk in, and always good to find a large cache. Thanks!
Found it, unfortunately no TB in there. Great nice sized cache for someone to put those bigger TBs in. Tftc
Wow...now thats no micro lol awsome cache no areoplanes today all quite a nice quick find and sign tftc
My first large! took a bit to find in the dark with dying torch and crappy phone gps but the good help of the other half. Nice haul. Swapped a CD for a book. Tftc, it's great!
By far out largest find yet on a walk with the dog and our newest addition to the family think shes going to make an amazing cacher!!!!!
Unfortunately I hadn't read this one before we found it, so I didn't come specifically prepared. Luckily I always carry around a fair amount of swag to leave, although I seldom take anything. I spotted something here however and left an animal print chiffon scarf (in PB) and a superhero in exchange for a Christmas songs CD which I have listened to once, just to check it out. It's pretty cheesy, but if you can't enjoy cheesy at Christmas, when can you?
We've just returned from a trip to the Philippines for my son's wedding and have itchy feet which we are curing with a weekend in Rotorua. Better caching here, but the weather is no comparison!
Thanks for this great big cache, all in good order when we found it and well covered. A fav from us.

Cache well hidden today & i put it back at least as hidden as i found it. To the CO i say well done putting this one out there, favorite from me! There are so few places with enough cover for such a large cache, much appreciated. Tftc.
Cache was sitting right out in the open. I covered it up pretty good. Maybe the wind is blowing away the cover. Plenty of swag but no geocoin. Thanks
A very rare beast indeed, a large container, was pleased to find and gets a favourite point from me
30/06/16 14:55 Great to see a 'proper' sized cache. Added a bit more natural camo and continued my perambulation of the area. Used to bring my dog here a lot, so good to revisit. Thanks, Cheers, GC.
It's always a great moment to find another large cache, wish there were more. Took me ages to locate the container but it was worth it when I finally got my hands It. Tftc
Needs Maintenance. Found a bucket half full of water, lying on top of the logbook and two actual books and the lid. Etched name in really wet soggy log. Shame this is in this state as it's rare to find such a large cache.
All sorted & back in place, full of extra goodies. Please make sure that the lid is securely closed once finished with it. And thank you to the last person who tried to sort it as best they could. It's very much appreciated! This cache, due to its size, really needs to be kept covered. There's a pic if any doubt how it should be left. I'm suspicious that a muggle has been through it, so if any more issues, this one will be disabled until I find a new location for it. All the best and enjoy! - K

Nice large cache. Plenty room for more thngs. got to watch a chopper take off . Good day out for a bike ride. TFTC
My GPS was putting me on the other side of the track but I had a feeling to look their other side, and sure enough, there it was. The kids loved the large size with swag to swap. Dropped a TB, TFTC!
Decided this was a great place to stop for lunch then have a leisurely walk to find the local caches. Enjoyed our time in the sunshine turning boxes into smilies, nice big container here TFTC.
#35 Out with LimmyB. and cam_777 for a day caching in Rotorua. Nice big walk here for the geodog, enjoying the park. Cool cache, never seen one this big before. Kids were impressed by all the official things from geocaching.com TFTC
