Not much inside but still in place. Got too distracted by skateboarders to take a sensible look at first.
Another of my weekend trips up to Auckland gives me the opportunity to get out and about and make the most of the Spring sunshine to try to have another go at caches I have failed to find on a previous occasion.
This time around it was a quick and easy find, leaving me wondering why I couldn't find it last time as I know I looked there previously. Never mind, I'm just happy to be able to turn the blue frown into a yellow smiley.
All was fine with the log, although I would suggest that the container could do with a second magnet in order to keep it in place?
Thanks for the placement, and maintenance, of your caches.

Today was another day combined with work and caching. Stayed in Rotorua for night and picked up the Squirrel on the way.
First to Putaruru then out to south of Pirongia. Bit of good planning with 2 caches a bit further up the road.
Also needed to go to Karaka on our way to Auckland for a couple of events, but with traffic issues we dodged Karaka we went to our first event on the list and arrived about 30 minutes after it started......
Rest of the day was a bit here and there collecting caches.
This container needs some repairs. Magnet not working. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... It's International Geocaching Day. We have a mixed day of jobs and caching up and down the country...
We got away from home early so that Gap could clear some work. We blew through jobs in Putaruru and Pirongia. Then it was time to head northward to catch some events... Traffic on the Southern Motorway was hideous. We managed to catch up with ABCDF4 and eyespyben, and Team H (Huntly) R (Rotorua) P (Papamoa) got into action...
On the Panmure Basin Walk... We were annoyed when a muggle sat very near ground zone. Luckily, his back was toward us, so he saw nothing. A quick find and our last on this walkway. TFTC.

This was tucked away nicely on the outside of the item at gz. Caution should be taken at gz and don't go putting your hand inside anything unsafe. Thanks for the cache
Found with NZDi. Our whole family headed north to Auckland for my father's 90th birthday and with a few hours to spare NZDi headed out for some out of town geocaching whi.e the other six in our party shopped up large at Sylvia Park. Unfortunately the fog in Auckland delayed our flight from Blenheim by two hours so we were time limited in our assault on this series.
We approached this on with trepidation as our pre-trip research showed this had previously been DNF'd. There were a few muggles nearby I cast a look around to see if I could narrow down the likely area. There were several potential hiding places, but luckily NZDi found it in the first place she looked.
Unfortunately due to the rain and a lack of time due to our late arrival in town, this was to be the last cache found, other than the nearby earthcache.

I'm up in Auckland for one of my regular visits, and with having the next week off work I am looking to break my longest streak for finds as well as push through and gain my 500th Cache whilst I'm here.
Today is day 5 of my current streak, and I managed to get a couple of hours of free time to go caching courtesy of my other half needed to go into work to sort a few things out, so what better excuse than to drop her off and go and grab a few quick ones if I could.
I have been meaning to get a chance to walk around the Panmure Basin, seeing as it's only really a 5 minute drive from where I will shortly be living, and today was the day. Having just driven from Sylvia Park via an entrance I'm not familiar with, I found myself right by this access point to the basin so I thought "why not?"
So far so good on my circuit. The weather was playing ball, and the caches had all been found so far. Could the streak continue as I approached this one? Well actually no, this turned out to be my first DNF for this series. I didn't know it at the time, but this was the start of a complete turn around for my day, as the next few would all be DNF's.
The published coordinates are (I think) a bit out as they take you to a point where a magnetic makes no sense whatsoever. However, there was a fairly obvious location a few metres away, which I examined as thoroughly as I could whilst getting a few odd looks from some of the kids playing nearby. However, I came up blank. Judging by the previous posts, it was probably just me today, and I hope to come back another time and knock this bugger off!

SO MANY MUGGLES!! We'd been here before so knew exactly where to look but due to the amount of eyes we had to abandon the search. We set a goal to pick up the rest of the series today so some stealth work by Ayden4aSmile made a happy Smilie. Tftc!!

4:32:00 PM. I made the find here after reading previous logs. Log signed. Thanks Vamber for the cache.
Almost miss this one going past. Quick find. Been a great series. Thanks for setting them up.
Easy find, seen too many of these to not notice immediately. Thanks for a good one to start off our walk.
Started at wrong place. Sharp coordinates moved me to another place. I know this sneaky lamp posts from Wellingtion area. TFTC
Ron and I decided to walk around the Panmure Basin. We parked very close to this cache and spent a few minutes looking for it before heading off round the trail.
The cache is in good condition. All nice and dry.
Thank you

Decided to get out the house this afternoon and come for a bit of a walk and collect some caches along the way.just after leaving the house the rain started but this wasnt going to stop us.a nice easy find.
Continuing around the Basin. After struggling to work out how to get started on the multi (#8) we continued on to here. Straightforward find after extending our search area
This was another quick find on our walk around the lake - Herts Skip made the find this time whilst I walked on to admire the view.
Was in the area briefly wit a spare few minutes, so decided to open up the C:geo app on the phone, and what does it show .... this cache very nearby..... love this game, caches everywhere.
Managed to grab in between muggles wandering down the road.

Another find on my way around the Panmure Basin. It started to get dark, and some also dark clouds were appearing indicating some possible rain, so I hurried on back to the hotel.
Yay! Found it under stressful muggle conditions. Doing the cache in honour of our Dad and husband. TFTC.
I was up in Auckland for a conference, and I decided that I have had enough sitting for the day, so went to find some caches before dinner! Most of the walk was very nice, except the few showers that came and went in between. TFTC and the great recipes!!!

Off to Auckland for a few days!! - It was about time I visited a hole bunch of friends here - took baby for her first flight outside of the womb, and showed hubby off a bit more of the sights around Auckland! Plus we had some airpoints, and accommodation sorted, so made for a lovely holiday!!
Caching was definitely not the main purpose of the trip, but we did find a few while at it!
I've done a few of the caches around here before, and today after church in the area, me, hubby, a friend, and the baby went for a walk around while waiting for another friend to finish her shift at work.
Lovely walk, lovely weather, and a sleepy baby - perfect!

Haven't tried making Lemonade Scones but I hear they're pretty easy to make and taste good. Nice, quick find and seats nearby to sit & sign the log. TFTC
After rummaging around in the wrong place for some minutes I decided to try another likely spot and got the find!
Love the disguise, tftc

Yet another one of this camouflages, so it was fairly easily spotted as I made my round of the Basin. Grabbed it, and signed. Onwards, I am almost done with the series! TFTC!
Looked around for awhile, but too many people milling around. Will come back another time.
3,5 weeks caching in Australia and New Zealand - what a life-time experience.
Thanks to all the owners to show me place I would not have found with travel books.

On today's free Saturday the day without rain used. To find some Caches! Thus I try my luck in this nice round! Many thanks for lay and maintain the Caches along the Panmure Basin!
But here is the Log missing, only the Cover is there! Needs maintenance!!

I dropped Ms M off for four hours and set off on a caching mission.
My first chapter was to walk around the basin to collect the Baker's caches and the Earth Cache.
Nice day for a walk. Most enjoyable.
Unable to locate until I read the logs and moved to the other side, eight metres away.

I found it, or at least I think I did, because what I found couldn't have been anything but a hidden something, but it didn't have a log in it. There was a sticker of a baked good on the inside though, which is why I'm pretty sure what I found was it, hidden in plain sight as others have mentioned. Very clever hide. #132
I enjoyed a nice walk around the Pamure Basin this afternoon and found the odd cache along the way. Most enjoyable. Cheers and TFTC
Back in Tamaki Makaurau again for a few days so decided to cache out this circular walk around Panmure Basin. Spent my time dodging showers and muggles in equal measure. Interesting stroll. Thank you for setting the circuit.
Another easy find. TFTC

Lots of kids in the playground so thought this was a hard one without looking suspicious. Luckily I had to widen my search which made me less visible. Good camo. TFTC
This was our 4th former DNF on this roadtrip to 250 geocache finds. Like others, put aside the GPSr in the end and let our eyes do the hunting. Took a wander around and aha - there it is. Gorgeous winter day had us worried that it would be muggles central again but it was quiet enough that we could look around without looking too odd. Nice job on this cache, TFTC.
This one nearly tripped us up. But then we had a "I wonder " moment and sure enough.
Oh no our trip to get all 12 of the baker's dozen was thwarted. Not by not finding but my the muggle-o-rama going on at GZ. No way could we look for a cache here without looking very suspicious indeed. Tried to wait them out but in the end we decided we needed to push on - not to worry, next time we are back at the imperial garden for yum cha we'll nip around the corner to get this.
Last one of this series finally ....Was in area doing Nordic Walking up Mt Wellington and Round the Basin .
Ha ha .....found this time ! These are so cool !
Thanks !

Our gps was about 10m from GZ. As there was a child in the playground we were concerned about looking dodgy. Luckily we quite quickly saw a prior log suggesting a wider search was needed. NINO TFTC
Found this cache on a very pleasant, sometimes wet, but lovely moonlit walk around panmure basin with hari. TFTC!!!

Walking and caching around Panmure basin. We had to wait for the muggle van to leave, before starting the search here. As the hint was magnetic, we started to look first where the gps took us, but found it ultimately when we widened our search area. tftc.

Another sneaky hide, the GPS put me in an obvious spot, but after a quick look, nothing revealed itself. Decided to follow the GPS to "0" and then check the next obvious, and found the cache. Love these types of hides, they caused me a few headaches when I was a "newby", still think they are cool
Thanks for the hide!
Thanks for the hide!
Found by kiwiscot; we just happened to be in the right place. Tftc. Heavy rain now; glad of a few places to shelter along the track
Arrived at GZ to find Yorkspuds already in action trying to find the cache. This prompted kiwiscot to exit the car to assist. Kiwi wanders off and comes back with cache leaving us all redundant. Log quickly signed , rain now starting to fall heavily. Problem was more the returning of cache as people seemed to come out from the wood works and wander around aimlessly! Job eventually completed. TFTC
Found ... we had seen these pop up quite a while ago but hadn't got around to doing anything about it until now ... today we thought we'd go for a bit of a walk & see how many of these we could find ... there were a lot of 'muggles' around, which made picking up some of these up quite difficult & impossible for a couple of them, so we'll need to come back & have a crack at those another day ... this was the 3rd cache of 9 for today ... the cache was easily found & quickly replaced ... TN:LN:SL ... TFTC ... #1,296 for us.
Now these are supposed to be fail proof, well I can proudly say I can fail lemonade scones, but the cache did not fail to be found.
Continuing my walk around the basin I stopped here for the required information for the Earthcache and to make this find. After a false start a few meters away I spotted this container and its camo (I personally love these containers - so clever and devious). I grabbed it as I walked by and took it to a nearby seat to complete the formalities. TFTC! #808
Out geocaching with a few muggle members of our family (their first time caching.) My dad first went to GZ but missed the camo. I rechecked and had to call him back and show him just how clever some of these camoed caches can be - he was impressed. TFTC
It's leap day and today my calender will be full jeiiii. I game here from center by buss. Now walking around hunting some caches. Then to Leap Day Event and some more caches. What a day
I serch and search just from wrong place until I saw something known.
Thanks for the cache and greetings from Finland

Relieved about the quick find on a very busy traffic morning. Will attempt the rest of the Baker's dozen another day.
A fast find when you have a couple of experienced old hands at caching. Starting to get a bit peckish with these recipes. I am definately going to try out this naughty recipe! Thanks for the recipe......oh.... and the cache
I've had to stop reading the descriptions as my tummy started to rumble at all these yummy recipes. I was onto this one straight away and quickly had the cache found.
Out with Merlot58, Pazzabella & mum, & 6 geodogs on the perfect summer's caching day.
Love the camo for this one - we have come across it’s type before so Merlot58 made a quick find.
Tftc - great series!

After searching the really obvious, then the slightly less obvious, passing by the cache several times, looking straight at it and not seeing it, trying to look inconspicuous to all the people walking and driving by, we found it. Really impressive camo! TTC
We decided to head north for the day and meet up with our old Geobuddies Steed&Peel for an afternoon walk around the basin to grab some Geocaches. There were a few muggles about so we had to adopt a stealthy approach. I had an idea as to what I was looking for and not finding it looked harder and discovered the log floating around in the garden and then the 'container' also in the garden. After signing the log I put everything back together and reattached it. Not sure how it ended up in that state but should be all good now.
The 'girls' sat this one out and stayed away from the road with the kids. Master six thought a go in the skate park would be fun, but I think he might need to be a bit older before he tackles that.
Tftc. Out with my son & his family today. Waited till late afternoon as it was so hot earlier. Well of course it was the last place we looked you don't keep looking when you've already found it do you. It was not in the expected places.
