Enjoyed exploring this lighthouse and surrounds. We watched the pilot sail out to a large shipping vessel and guide it through the heads, a magpie sang to us sitting on the rocks, and it was a stunning day weather wise. Sent my answers to the CO.

Answers sent to the cache owner for review and approval. Interesting location.Cleaning up Victoria with gridge98. We are on a mission this week. Completing twenty finds in Mexican local government areas is the challenge. Another find with the correct criteria. It is in Victoria and we have not accumulated twenty finds in this local government area.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is Saturn's day the nineteenth day of the octavus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit windy today. It was so windy today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. We were in Geelong for a couple of days recently and headed down to Point Lonsdale. I collected the answers for this EC and have sent them to the CO.It was so windy so we didnt venture along the jetty. I was great to see the lighthouse and to walk down the stairs to the beach below

08-Sep-24
I collected this EC after walking along the pier and beach. I had fun scrambling about the rocks and investigating the caves. Cheers.

I needed a cache in Queenscliff borough to finish changing my map of Victorian LGAs to a pretty shade of green. This is my third find today after travelling south from Ballarat. It was very cold and blustery but what a fabulous part of the coast. I would love to come back when the weather is more enjoyable. Thanks for drawing my attention to the detail here, answers will be sent directly.

TFTC! 11 March 2024 1:57:31pm 7625 thanks to Darth Briji for the cache! A really lovely spot. A family enjoying the way in the little pools in front! Very quiet. Tide was up a little so took the shortcut through the nice enterance in the rocks! Even better the rocks provided some much needed shade. Answers sent through.

I was keen to visit Queenslcliff, it sounded like a nice place from those that had had the opportunity, but also as I was keen to cache the LGA for myself. Indeed, it was a great location and pleased to finally see and experience it for myself.

This earthcache was a great place to visit and I found the well written lesson made the experience quite enjoyable. It's a lovely location here and perhaps one day I may get the opportunity to visit again.

This cache was one found on a trip away with Flintstone's for 4 days. We had the Geotour in Ballarat as our target, and made our way as far as Queenscliff.

Ballarat caching was a joy, and with the tour, we saw many lovely and interesting locations as well as stopping for many other caches as we passed. Lots of little walks helped with the colder first few days as well as being quite scenic.

A change of weather and scenery towards Queenscliff but the coast was a great place to visit with plenty to do and see. As always, more to do than there was time for, will just have to return one day! Thank you for your cache!

12-Aug-23
TFTC even on a winters day it’s nice down here. There are two people swimming in a rock pool - now that’s strange!

09-Aug-23
Lived this cache and ticked another type of cache off on this month's challenge. Had to make a quick escape as the tide was coming in. Tftc. Favourite point from us

Find # 12859

Found with sharkiefan.
Our plan of the day was the CITOs in Geelong and Point Lonsdale and to catch up with suss vulture and robmc to walk the Bollards Ad Labs and to grab the odd caches we come across.

After the CITO we ventured over the hill to GZ.
As the tide was up, I tried hard but failed to keep my feet dry while down on the sand.

Answers sent off to CO.

A busy weekend of events, CITOs, and occasional caches.
Variable weather, but stayed dry most of the time.

I have been to this light house many times, but never had a close look at the geology of the rocks.
Wandered down with Mrs McLookers after the CITO. She has sent the answers.
Thanks, Robmc.

I'd seen the lighthouse from the fort across The Rip the other day & fancied a visit. Well, here I am. I climbed down after doing some AdLabbin' and enjoyed a look around while shooting some time lapse (I was a GIFF finalist in '21). Answers sent by Messenger. What a wonderful place to visit Big Grin.
It was a truly remarkable place to wander around and enjoy all the interesting sites that are here.

We thank you Darth Briji for bringing us here, and I am so glad we had the family here with us to enjoy the area together.

27-Apr-23
Back on the 4th of March this year, shortly after coming back to earth, the family and I left the skydiving dropzone and headed back towards our overnight accomodation for a bit of a wander down to the peir and the lighthouse to cap off a truly memorable day.

02-Apr-23
I visited this earthcache as I slowly made my way from Adelaide to the Mega event at Rutherglen.

Today was spent doing some caches of interest around Geelong and the Bellatine Peninsula, including this one.

Interesting cliffs and defence structures around here.

Thanks Darth Briji for the earthcache.

This is our last morning in Queenscliff so a trip to Point Lonsdale was certainly in order. We've been here a few times over the years & I love it. Just a wee bit too busy for my liking today but we found ourselves a nice wee spot to play boules & watch the waves crashing in. My answers have been submitted. Many thanks

Off for a weekend holiday in the Bellarine Peninsula area. The plan is to do an "O" Parkrun and collect some geocaches in Queenscliff. That will almost complete our Parkrun Alphabet and give us another Geocaching LGA. That mission was completed today with these geocaches. Now for the next mission, collect more smiley faces.

Enjoyed strolling around down on the beach, after checking out the lighthouse. Lovely area here and interesting story. Odd that we bumped into some other Geocachers who recognised us, and are just as far from home as we are.

Thanks for the cache Darth Briji

This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 12078.

The weather down here was putrid when I first arrived but by the time I left it was magic. Talk about four seasons in a day! I gathered the details needed and my answers have been sent via the message centre.

Thanks Darth Briji for the cache.

Bit of a wander today out to Point Lonsdale, timed it well with low tide. Went for a walk, climb, jump, boat watch, search and education.

Great spot and so unexpected. Tftc

20-Sep-22
I had come down to the Bellarine Peninsula to complete some more stages of some long-distance caches I am working on... and one of the things I needed to do was find at least one cache in either Queenscliffe or Point Lonsdale...

Although I had ticked off that task, I still came to check out this Earth Cache... never pass one up if I can.

Thanks **Darth Briji** for this one.

Enjoying a few days in Melbourne with friends and today we headed south to the coast. Port Lonsdale beach is spectacular, and we spent sometime exploring rock pools. Walked along the path around Queenscliff but ran out of time and couldn’t complete our circuit. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining caches for us to find.
Loved the rock formations here and we spent an hilarious 20 mins messing around with pano shots on our phones.

12-Apr-22
Enjoyed the walk around the lighthouse. The beach was littered with bluebottles, which we dodged (learnt that they release mucus containing the stings).

Interesting to learn how treacherous the heads are, and how ships require pilots on board!

We were attending an event for Bushfire and took the opportunity to get a few caches around Pt Lonsdale that we needed.
We started a bushwalk from here that took us to the South Australian boarder a long time ago that took about 6 years to complete.
Thanks for the memories.
It was also good to learn the geology of the point.

Found by Aussie Train Driver 14/03/2022.

I was visiting the area with the family and after being foiled at the nearby traditional by some muggles who had set up directly in front of it, I completed this cache before we jumped back in the car home. Great spot for an earthcache and great views.

My answers have been submitted to the CO. Thanks Darth Briji.

I really enjoyed this spot. Was great to see the ocean after being on the road for 7 days.

Answers sent to CO.

Thank you so much.
An old guy approached me as I was writing down my answers and wondered if I was drawing the cliffs.

#3877

My last day on the road and I think the universe was ready for me to head home as the car started playing up and I found out my pocket queries didn't download correctly. Had to resort to using the phone which sucked and meant I only got 7 caches today.

17-Feb-22
The tide was low and the weather was perfect for an evening/night cache. A quick message to my mate Dromaniax to see if they were up for a cache and we soon had a plan in place Smile

Such a beautiful spot to explore with the kids, especially on an evening like this. Dromaniax had already completed this cache so this one was a solo task. Gathered my answers and then we decided to have a look for a cache very close by but came up short once again. We will be back for it!!!

Thanks for the Earth Cache

A long overdue catchup with muggle friends in Geelong resulted in a weekend of caching with RoamingHowie, targetting AdLabs, solved puzzles, LGAs, and various others along the way.
We wandered down to explore this interesting area. With all the info gathered, and answers submitted (by RH), we moved on to the trad.
Thanks for bringing us here today by setting this earthcache, Darth Briji

It’s finally the rescheduled Geelong trip! Originally postponed due to 25km restrictions, we are now free to roam and set to explore. Ad labs, puzzles and spending some time in Queenscliff is today’s adventure.

We wandered down to explore this earthcache whilst completing the nearby adventure lab. It was cold and windy but we managed to gather all the necessary details. A cool location to explore.

Answers have been sent on to the CO.

Thanks Darth Briji for the cache.

This was one of a few Earthcaches we did on our coastal tour today. The weather was okay but the scenery spectacular. We particularly enjoyed this part of the Bellarine.

Thank you Darth Briji for developing and maintaining the cache.

Answers forwarded by Rebel Acts on both our behalf.

Another day, another time we have teamed up with Rebel Acts to explore the scenic Bellarine Peninsula. Once again we are signing our logs as either SKI Pair, Rebel Acts or RASP. We have been in the area for well over a week now and still have a lot of unfound caches on our map. We’ve had a great time in the area with Rebel, his experience with caching is much larger than ours so we are learning as well as having a great time. Lots of trash talk about “amateur’s” versus “professionals” has caused quite a bit of laughter.

Thanks to all the local cache owners for giving us so many great caches, and showcasing this lovely area. We won’t manage to clean the area out this time, so we will need to come back another time. And we will be looking forward to it.

I had to duck back up to Melbourne on Monday for an appointment but made it back Tuesday afternoon for a couple more days caching with Ski Pair, we had lots of laughs and the stirring is always fun, could not ask for better company.

Today we concentrated our efforts around Angelsea and a few in Geelong.

This is one of the earth caches we found on our travels.

Thanks Darth Briji for the cache.

This was a great location today, with one of the lowest Easter tides that I have seen, on a beautiful calm day. The sun was glistening on this dramatic bit of coast

A very enjoyable stroll around here. Something I have done many times but never stopped to complete this Earthcache. Always love walking on sand and watching the waves.

Thanks Darth Briji for a welcome break from the normal.

21-Mar-21
cycled to the site today from Ocean Grove. Great double window through the arch.

02-Feb-21
Yet another great day for Geocaching today (although I think most days are great for Geocaching). As I made my way down to the beach the white caps were racing across The Rip, and the breeze had a bit of bite, probably should have worn something more than a T-shirt and jeans. Was hoping that I was going to be able to do two caches with this one-stop, but I apparently had Buckley's of that happening. It has been a very long time since I have been on this beach, and it was great to be back and drinking in the beautiful fresh sea air. We always enjoy learning about the geology wherever we are and the differences from one side of the Bellarine to the other are stark. Thankyou Darth Briji for the fascinating lesson. I have messaged the answers. TFTC #119

Enjoyed a beach walk with geoboy 12. Thanks for bringing us down here, hadn’t been to Buckley’s cave for years.

We were saving this as our nearest EC for Earthcache weekend. A familiar spot from previous visits in the area. Lots of great spots to explore for the little bunnies while the older ones sorted out the answers and sent them to the CO. TFTC.

Awesome little spot!

Down in Queenscliff for the holidays, out on a short bike ride into busy Point Lonsdale to pick up this earth cache along with a couple of other caches today. The tide was a long way out and we enjoyed exploring through the rocks and rock pools as well. CO gave us the heads up to log not long after. Thanks Darth Briji for bringing us to this cool earth cache with some great views

22-Mar-20
Spiffy- and I originally had an idea of a bike ride and cache but the weather was average with some rain so instead we went in search of a few caches for challenges.

We enjoyed walking around and looking at the stone. Cold wind but a nice area and fun to see a big ship leave.

Thanks to Darth Briji for the placement and fun.

22-Mar-20
Found at 1:46 pm.
Today we were going to be going for a bike ride but with the showers here and there we got scared off so headed down to Geelong and Point Lonsdale instead for a drive.
We ended up getting 7 different types of cache today even without any events which was surprising.

During a walk around the whole area we stopped here on a windy but still nice day and studied the cliff for the answers.
Thanks Darth Briji for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

07-Mar-20
We spend the day in Geelong and surrounding areas today.
Thank you.

03-Mar-20
An evening stroll was needed after a busy day at work. Making the most of the last of daylight savings in the good company of the geowhippet. A spot we have been to a number of times now but still love every time. Thanks for the EC here

29-Feb-20
Great spot at low tide with deep rockpools

13-Feb-20
Was here 12months ago but for some reason or another I didn't do this EC then... 12 months on, having circumnavigated the country (including passing this point twice more on the Spirit of Tas) I found myself back here and decided I should make the effort this time. Thanks for the tourist friendly Earthcache here Darth Briji.

A chance to get out of town and head down, with Mrs Dragon, along the "Great Ocean Road" to take in the beauty that is around every turn as its been 20 plus years since I had traveled that road and she has never been along that route.
We love the vibrancy of Melbourne and Victoria in general and as such trips back here are not infrequent.

We had made the decision to head to the far end and work our way back at our leasure and as we come from a country with active volcano's and a rough west coast (Black Sand) thought that it was appropriate to explore the volcanic and coastal history of Victoria. Of course I would have liked to stop at every cache along the way but prudence (and fear of Mrs Dragon) meant that I concentrated on Earthcaches along our route, with a few others thrown in for good measure.
Having stayed in Torquay the night we headed out to Queencliff and collected a few caches along the way and just generally enjoyed the architecture that is in the area.

Thanks to all the CO's that have set up these Earthcaches for us to enjoy and learn from
