After having no success again at the big gun (I’ll get you one day). Let’s say it’s not best to go at 2:30pm on a sunny Sunday with heavy traffic. Didn’t see the light change to red and a kid sitting in a car yelled out “DON’T BREAK IT!” That was my queue to leave it for another day.

After that I took a 2 minute drive over here, quickly found and had cache in hand. There’s room for around 15 more logs before it’s full.

Thanks Mumma Kell

We are staying in the area for a short stay and it was great to go out with Shifter Brains to find this cache. Our other activity was feeding the very hungry ducks nearby. Thanks to Mumma-Kel for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area. Big GrinBig Grin

Decided to come up to Gosford for some finds today, after all it is quicker than getting to a lot of Sydney from where I live near the start of the F3. After calling in at Bunnings to get some spray paint for ammo cans this was the first one for the day. A nice quick find with nobody looking on. Thanks Mumma-Kel. Log was full but managed to fit an RJ on there.

Found after work on a detour to this area. I wanted to get the netball court multi puzzle. So after finding too many before it, practice started and I couldn't do it. So headed up this way. Stopped here. Headed down and around. Luckily it was in one of the first places I looked.
Thanks for the walk and cache!

Having a caching day on the Central Coast from Sydney. My goodness, this hasn't been found for quite some time. We were poking around looking for it (funny cache notes!) when the manager of the nearby flipping centre came out wondering what we were doing. We note that there is a security camera near GZ. We confessed all to her and let her know that others might come but apparently not that often. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek

Streak day 51 of trying to complete my calendar - Well I have definitely covered some kilometres today. I started the morning in Kilcoy, Qld, before jumping on a plane back to Sydney. I was a little late for work, but made it in the end. I was glad to escape and head up the central coast to catch up with some of my ice hockey friends before I head off on my European adventure. It was getting late by the time I was ready to head home and I still needed to grab my cache for the day. Looking at nearby caches this one caught my eye as it was only a very slight detour from my route home and it also ticked off another date hidden from my list. Whilst this type of cache isn't my favourite I definitely don't hate them. Since it was late by the time I pulled up nearby there weren't any muggles around to see me loitering, though I was a little worried the neighbouring buildings might have cameras. I checked a couple of locations without luck, but it wasn't long before I had CIH. I returned to my car in order to sign the log out of sight, then quickly returned the cache to it's hiding spot. It's been a very long day. Time to head home for a well earned rest. TFTC.

Love a LBD and I also love the cache equivalent!! Thanks Mumma Kel, was able to duck out while the geosons bounced around.

After a rainy Friday, the Saturday morning turned out to be sunny - but windy. Drove around the carpark but didn't find any parking so decided to park on the street. Had to wait for the mugglers to turn arund until this little black dress was found and signed.

Lol when I saw the giant black wall in front of me I drew a quick intake of breath, as I feared a really devious hide. And while it was, it was less so than I feared. Smile a quick park and grab. We parked over the reserved spaces nearby to use our car as cover. Log and cache in great condition. Then TFTC

While checking out some high muggle caches late at night with roommate, hand was 10cm away from a redback that roommate pointed out but i was oblivious to. After the close call we decided to comeback another time with gloves.

We visited the nice reptile Park in Somersby which was great. A lot of informative and illustrative keeper talks.
After the visit there we stopped at some nice caches in the region.

Mrs C has been wanting to go on a caching day for a while, but with work and other commitments we haven't been able to get out. Today was another matter. Even when the heavens opened up raining down its sogginess, we still made the most of the day. In total we found 23 caches.

A quick find after a bite to eat, with the rain keeping people away

Quick find. TFTC

06-Jan-16
I should have come here earlier, it's way easier than I thought it would be. The place was packed with people, but they were all inside bouncing up and down. It only took seconds to retrieve the cache then log in the car some distance away, and even less to replace with no time to arouse any suspicions. Thanks to Mumma-Kel for a good suburban hide for a very wet day.

Was driving past on my way to another cache when I saw the area was quieter than usual. A quick stop revealed the cache.

Had to come to Gosford for a pre-Christmas dash for work and grabbed a few before my 7am appointment. It was pouring rain, but managed to keep it all dry. That also helped keep muggles nearly non existent.
Been a while since I've played any indoor sports here Wink
Thanks for the cache and cheers from Browngang

We were looking for a larger container (which also attracts derisive comments). After searching everywhere a brush of the fingers dislodged the cache.

Find #: 1,207
Companions: None
Muggles: Yep, quite a few
Weather: Spring day
Cache Condition: Good

I am not a huge fan of this container type, despite having deployed one, but will still look for them, especially when they are less than 40m away in a "I wonder if?" search after lunch at a nearby cheap-eats establishment. I decided there were only a few possible places to search, but still managed to miss it on my first pass. A worker from the nearby pub came down to the bins, so I smiled and he nodded back. Once he left I had another look at That Place and there it was. I signed and replaced, then headed back to my car. TFTC

31-Oct-15
Out on the road today with mr_roo on a fast paced, kilometre munching cache cleanup, and grab for numbers mostly, as he approaches his 8k and me 2k.
Our destination touched Ourimbah, Gosford, Mooney, Cowan, Peats Ridge, Wollombi, Laguna, Broke, Bulga and Somewhere near Putty and Yengo, ending with a touch of Cessnock, and Chrlestown at the Asylum.

Arrived at GZ only to be stared down by a worker... but they disappeared immediately, then as I searched the 'manager' arrived Twisted so we gave a quick geo lesson and all was cool, should be no problems here for next cachers.Cool
Tricky little hide, almost missed it.

As we were very close by and didn't realise how close this one was we couldn't leave without attempting it. Being mindful of the muggle factor we tried to blend in while searching. In the end the cache was dislodged and retrieved from the ground. We moved away to sign the log then replaced where found. This is our second cache for the day, the first one was in Christchurch New Zealand.

29/09/15. 9:47 AM. Cache #3058. Streak day #464.
11th of 12 this morning - Mooney Mooney Creek, Calga, Somerby & West Gosford.

Took a roundabout way to get here, past the race course, from "Silence Is Golden". The car park was reasonably muggle-free, so I could search in peace. Plenty of noise coming from the nearby trampoline centre.

Tried a few places before finally making the find - sneaky! Now, one more cache or two? I had solved "Before Christmas" (last night), but I decided to leave that and head for "President's Hill" instead. TFTC.

On reading the cache description we had a fair idea of what we were looking for. We pulled up and got a good parking spot which provided cover and as it was early there was not too many muggles about. Certainly a few place to look and one we did not want to look in. Some careful spotting and the hide was soon found, We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

I tried to do this one at 6:30 in the morning a couple of days after it was published, only to be foiled by a guy directly above hosing down the beer garden floor and by 2 security guards standing by their cars having a natter in an otherwise empty car park. Normally, I'm not too concerned by muggles but in the circumstances, I decided this one would be best left for another day.

That day ended up being today, when I was driving through West Gossie with time on my hands. There were plenty of cars in the car park but no security guards or any other muggles anywhere nearby, except for a group in the beer garden above ... but they looked like they were so busy drinking and talking that I could have done a streak through the carpark without them noticing! With little to worry about while searching, the find itself was a straightforward one ... there are only so many places where a little black dress could be hidden away, and I came across it in the second place I checked.

Thanks for the hide Mumma-Kel ... I'm not a fan of nanos but this one gave me a bit of a smile as well as a smiley, so all is excused.

After lunch at a nearby place ,you can't beat a $5 stunner deal.We went looking for this cache.lucky the workers having lunch overlooking nearby left,so then we had a clear area with no one around to search and spotted the cache .I very carefully took it back to the car to sign and replaced it no problem .Thanks for the cache Mumma-Kel tnln sl

I was lucky enough to have the most apt parking for this one on a busy Sunday at lunchtime. Used my car as a distraction by putting down the tailgate and sitting there as we gave the area a once over. People heading into Flipout were not concerned with us at all and soon enough the cache was in hand. Hehe, I had a giggle to myself as I thought of the cache title and was pleased to note that I have never worn a LBD as short and skimpy as this cache - I don't think it is possible to get any shorter/smaller!! LOLOL. Thanks for the fun Mumma-Kel.

Came here with my son and a mate of his, a bit wary of hanging out too long. There was a huge basket nearby, and my son's mate (who is new to geocaching) said - "There's the cache!" Uh uh, way too big and obvious. In fact even I was looking for something bigger until getting a clue from the logs. Soon found it and signed log.

I note that the nearby indoor soccer / indoor cricket place is now trampolines. Looks like fun? TFTC Kel!

Found 9:56 am with the Geowife sort of keeping me company. This morning we had to drop our vehicles off at the local dealership for some enhancements. We then came over to Hungry Jacks for a feed and I was idly looking at geocaches, the puzzle in Adcock park in particular, when I saw this one was right nearby. So a little later I convinced the geo wife to walk over after finishing brekky. I had my initial search looking in tricky places, then moved around a bit to see if it maybe hidden slightly different spot. Then trusted the GPS and Google and had another look and feel. Aah huh got you! What I can say is coords appear to be spot on. I signed the log and then returned back to the Geowife who was standing around in the middle of the lane playing on her phone. Now off to that puzzle cache.
Thanks for the cache.

As usual another published notification when Mrs Shifter still had about an hour of work left. A quick call to Mr Shifter and he was off on the FTF hunt.
Mr Shifter located the other nearby cache but was unable to spot this one, especially without looking to suspicious. So an SMS was sent to Mrs Shifter and as it was knock off time the agreement was to meet there and both would look. Miss Shifter came along to look also as she had just finished school for the day.
We all met up, looked at the general area and discussed options, GPS was passed to Mrs Shifter who walked up and located the cache immediately. Just lucky, or a fresh pair of eyes?
Thanks for another hide Mumma-Kel. Definitely good to have another *FTF* at the start of our 11th geocaching year, and even better to have the whole team present.
