#13826 Three days on the road from Sydney to Mudgee, with the main objective of finding and logging the TRLT-North. It was an enjoyable drive, across dirt roads and some beautiful scenery. Day 1 we camped overnight at Hill End and day 2 we pitched out tent in Mudgee. The caches were easily found so the focus was fully on the journey through our Mid Western region of NSW.TFTC to all cache owners for maintaining this great series.
15/25 on the list for today. Walked past it twice before making the find. Cache is in good condition. TFTC.
Out exploring the area and collecting a few caches along the way. After a short search we found cache. With the cache in hand, we signed the log and then replaced it as found. Thanks for the cache Code1.

Haven't seen a car for ages yet at this spot a car manages to pull up to u-turn right next to us and then three separate cars pass us staring as we attempt to look not at all suspicious with a notepad and pen in the middle of nowhere TFTC

Today I met up with Calypso62 and Rama497 to do some of TRLT series. Calypso62, Team Canary and I did a fair chunk of the first stretch back in April 2017, Calypso62 and I haven't managed to return until now. We were lucky enough to have Rama497 come and join us today, making the day a whole lot of fun. There were instances where we saw snow, some where we felt snow, some where we walked through (fallen) snow, some where the caches had snow on them and even some where it was snowing at the time! I don't think the car said it was warmer than 3 degrees all day yet we still managed to find at least 36 caches (we revisited some previous finds so Rama497 could find them too). It was a wonderful day.
Ok so the nearby blackberry bush got me on the way in! Be careful, it's very spiky. Noticing some ooshies in the caches along here for anyone who is collecting - not us, so we left them be.

Day 3
With the COVID19 restrictions lifting, we decided to head to the Bathurst area this long weekend on a Geomission with Rapidlywild. Our intention was to attack the TRLT trail and others around the area.
We had a great four days, only a few DNF’s but mostly smiley's, and have left plenty for another adventure. Lovely area to cache in and we look forward to coming back for some more fun and laughs.
Thanks for the hide Code1 and thanks Rapidlywild for another great weekend away.
Apologies for the generic log, thank you to all the cache owners for their efforts.

With COVID19 locking everyone down for so long, a MUCH overdue geocaching mission was welcomed. FurfacesLL #1 and myself decided to head towards Bathurst and attack some of the TRLT caches and see how far we can go. Spoke to a few of the CO's prior to heading up to see if we could assist with any maintenance that was required, so we went prepared with some camo containers and some fresh log books. We had a wonderful weekend stretching the legs and enjoying the country side.
Thanks for the hide Code1 And thanks to the FFLL ladies for another fun weekend out and about the TRLT trails and others

Hatzofff and I are in Bathurst for a few weeks house sitting, and of course have time for lots of caching.
Today we journey along the RLT east from Bathurst, commencing at "Bridge".
I think the "tree" is more 'retired' than 'tired.

This one was a bit trickier for the kids and after 15mins they gave in and I helped them with the old 'colder, warmer' hints. Watch out for the blackberry!
This was our third day of searching for caches on this trail, having started late in the afternoon two days again. The first afternoon the weather had been cold and wet, and yesterday dry but very chilly. Today the weather was perfect - beautiful sunshine, warmer and only a gentle breeze. The scenery was simply stunning along the roads the series took us along and so once again we had another great day out geocaching. This one was a nice quick find once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Out caching with oldmorty - a further 33 of TRLT caches found. Quick park and grab. Thanks Code1 for placing this cache here for us to find.
On a lovely Autumn day on the way to White Rock for a family birthday, frazeydaze and I took a slight detour through Sunny Corner, Palmers Oaky, Limekilns, Wattle Flat and Sofala. Meandering through pretty mountain ranges and densely wooded gum forests we found a few caches, including this one, along the way. TFTC Code1

Looks like this place has become the local rubbish tip. Couldn't find the hint or the cache.
I was heading to Portland today and decided I'd take the scenic route there from Lithgow, travelling via Tarana and Sunny Corner (with a couple of diversions thrown into the mix) to pick up some of the TRLT series in a last ditch attempt to earn the final Hidden Creatures souvenir. In the end, I think I found enough to get me the turtle souvenir but that aside, I thoroughly enjoyed the drive ... particularly this section past all the pine plantations ... the place certainly looks very different to when I was here last, with with so much having been logged in recent years.
Thanks for placing caches along the road less travelled Code1 ... I for one appreciate the effort you and others have gone to.

Find #1512
With our 1500th cache milestone in sight, we set off on a caching day up into this beautiful region, driving The Road Less Travelled through Palmers Oakey, Dark Corner and Sunny corner. We managed 48 finds (and one little 'bonus' cache) for the day, only one DNF. Starting the day at -2 degrees and thick fog, it turned into a ripper of a day, never really getting above 8 degrees, quite nice in the sun though.
Cool hide here, won't get muggled anytime soon....

14036. Found with specimenX during another run around finding the southern half of the TRLT series plus any others as we could squeeze in.
Another big day out with Caching Wench Number 1 starting with an early departure from Canberra, with perfect weather for our ramble along those country roads for many many finds. We found all the caches to be good sized containers and nice hides. Next find of the day. Quick find at GZ with the torch as the sun had gone by now. Signed the log, returned the cache, and we headed off to the next one.
Thanks to all the COs for their hides !!

Apologies for the generic log-We found most of the TRLT series were good sized containers and easy finds with only a handful proving to be a bit of a challenge.

Road trip North to tackle The Road Less Travelled Series with JordsAU! I’ve wanted to try this trail for a while but hadn’t found anyone to try it with. I ran it by Jords a few weeks back & after checking the roster for the week, the stars aligned and we started organising it. He was aiming for “200 caches in a day”, so we planned the trail as best we could!
Monday – we drove up to Gulgong to start the trail. We worked our way down to Mudgee (~30 caches) before setting up camp for the night. We had an early night so we could smash out a big day.
Tuesday – packing up at sunrise and setting out, the big day begun! We reached the first 100 by 2:00pm (7 hours elapsed). We were worried that we weren’t going to reach the 200 milestone considered how far we had to go and how long we had been tracking! The stretch from the Great Western Highway to Oberon made great time and we were on 150 caches. Instead of heading into Oberon to set up camp in daylight, we decided the best use of the remaining daylight would be to push through into the night for the last 50. Eventually we were down to the last handful, when we hit an area of the forest that had been logged. To make up the last few, we assumed there would be caches in Oberon, so we drove 50km back to town. We made the 200 at the Oberon Memorial Site and called it a (long) day.
Wednesday – I was all ran down from the big day, so we made our way back home! I found a few in Sydney, and made the drive back down home. It was a good to unpack and have a nice hot shower. Now for the long laborious task of entering these logs!
Thank you to all the Cache Owners along this trail. It was a real joy to visit another part of this great country we call home. It’ll be easier for me to return to the trail via Goulburn/Crookwell to finish off the series (and hopefully visit any further extensions). TFTC’s!

2/5/17 Found with muppet95. Muppet95 mentioned to me that he was keen to hit up The Road Less Travelled series and we decided to take a few days off to go on a bit of a road trip. I wanted to shoot for a goal of finding at least 200 caches in a 24 hours period and we made plans accordingly. We drove up to Gulgong on the first day and arrived in the early afternoon. We started The Road Less Travelled series there and headed south towards Mudgee, picking up approximately 30 geocaches on the way. We spent the night camping on the outskirts of Mudgee and had an early night, with the expectation of an early start to have the best chance of reaching our goal of 200 caches the next day. At the crack of dawn on day 2, we packed up camp and set out on the trail, finding our first for the day at 7 AM. We then spent the next 14 hours travelling The Road Less Travelled, caching the series and picking up some additional caches along the way. We powered on well after the light of day had disappeared, because we were on a mission and were resolute in our efforts to achieve our goal for the day. We reached a point, down near Gurnang in the pine forest, where the area a cache in the series was supposed to be had been logged and we could not continue, without backtracking and going the long way around. We made the decision to turn around and head back to Oberon, where we would pick up the last remaining few to reach our target number. I am very sad to say that on the way out of the pine forest, a wombat ran out as we were driving past and was struck by the underside of the car. We stopped immediately and I rushed over to its aid. The poor thing was in not in a good way and I did what I could to provide some comfort but it faded away within a matter of minutes. The accident is very distressing and upsetting, and it put a real dampener on a long and tiring day. There was nothing we could do at that point, so we continued on our way back to Oberon, picking up some more caches in town. We reached our campsite and setup, keen to rest up and have a deserved sleep in. It was another cold night, definitely dropping below zero degrees. We woke in the morning and, after packing up, we made our way back to the big smoke. Thanks For The Caches to the respective Cache Owners, and for putting this series together, which takes us on a different route along the Road Less Travelled. We will have to come back at another point in the future to try and finish off the series, and hope that one day the series may be extended further for everyone’s enjoyment.
Spent the morning travelling from the Limekilns Road and headed towards Meadow Flat along this awesome autumns morning collecting a few caches along the way. Thanks for the maintence of the caches.
Found with Brewmaker while on a two day adventure finding caches in The Road Less Travelled trail series and other nearby ones.
We started at Meadow Flat and then headed north (having previously headed south on another adventure) through Sunny Corner and Palmers Oakey before camping overnight at Wattle Flat. Then it was on to Sofala Sally's Flat, Pyramul and heading north towards Mudgee before we ran out of time. Will have to come back to finish the series. Most caches were easy to find and it was a very enjoyable drive along these country roads some beautiful scenery, historic places, native animals etc.
