bunadoorian and I tried to find this one and scarpered all over in our safety levels - but beware of the large leaves as they sting. We thought stinging nettles were only small leaves and more on the ground.

Caching from WA west coast to ACT for 2 megas. TFTC. I went up the south side slope twice. Very hairy, especially without the right footware.Got back to the car and decided to check logs and photos. Off again.A quick find this time. Log is still missing. Couldn't find it in the brush.

#18803 - 12:38:00 PM; Headed to Kiama for the weekend and stopped off in Kangaroo Valley and Berry on the way through to collect some caches, including this one. Found the parking area as we made our way down the mountain and made my way to GZ, where the maze was located, but the log seems to have vanished! Grabbed a snap to commemorate the visit. TFTC Jay&Tam Smile

#12688 16:10For the October long weekend a plan was hatched to stay in Tathra for a few days of geocaching, sightseeing and relaxing. On the drive down the coast we detoured to Bundanoon before heading down to Kangaroo Valley and down the Princes Highway,Driving out of Kangaroo Valley and down the mountain we safely pulled over for some amazing views.TFTC

What a great weekend away with Tankeninge, Aquilus1, Youban and Joolay! We saw some amazing spots and visited some lovely areas all in the name of caching!! This is why we cache - great company, great highlights and so much fun!!Cache definitely is missing the log. Would have been a fun cache otherwise. Tftc!!!

No log to sign. But a lovely spot to appreciate the forest.

A weekend was planned for the coast to pick up some oldies and a county with Aquilus1, dty73, Tankengine and Youban. Perfect weather.

Thanks for getting me out and about Jay&Tam

Away for the weekend with Joolay, dty73, Tankengine and youban. We had an oldie and an LGA as our target and many others of interest as we passed. It was a beautiful area to visit and the weather was lovely. Many thanks for your cache that added to our enjoyment.

A bit of log reading to understand what we had found here. Looks like it was good once but needing a little TLC now. It's a nice area here.

I am going to claim this as a find.
The "Maze" is in desperate need of maintenance and the log book/container is no longer there.
I would say that it has been destroyed due the the recent weather events.
Have logged a photo of what we found.
Have seen something similar to this type of hide before some years ago, a good concept.

Found with keen geocaching muggle family members.
Very blustery day staying at Bengalee Scout Camp for a family camp extended weekend.

Great hide! Paper wet and needs replacing

I have been eyeing this cache off for ages but never quite got into finding it except for another occasion, something in the vicinity of two years ago when I was somewhat determined to take a look. Made it a little way to GZ but the terrain looked iffy underfoot and damp and as I had had run in's with a few leeches lately I rather chickened out deciding to pluck up the courage another time. Today was that time and I was determined not to stare at this cache on the map anymore. Wow I am glad I did make a conscientious effort, that cache is the bomb, loved it! even though the log was wet - tried to sign as best as I could. The views from the road are equally terrific but I already knew that having travelled this road a hole lot in my lifetime thus far. Thanks for a bonza cache *Jay&Tam*.

On our last visit, our etrex took us in the wrong direction. Maybe it didn't want to go near what appeared to be a stinging tree. Someone felt sorry for us and contacted us with a hint. This time, no etrex. Just walked across, saw the geotrail and soon had the container in hand. Then three hours later, managed to extract the log. LOL. A very nicely constructed cache. A FP. TFTC

Tftc. Top spot for a cache. Great view from our car park. Very clever cache. In good condition.

13-Dec-19
Find Number 2033 found at 12:49. This was the 2nd of 2 finds, together with 1 DNF today

After visiting our granddaughter's school for awards day we headed back home looking for some caches on the way.

Once I worked out which way to head, this was a quick and easy find. Then I had to access the container.

The log was damp but useable, otherwise the cache was in good condition. We signed the log (sometimes we sign micro logs with G&T or GT) and replaced the container as found. The CO might want to replace the log some time.

Thanks Jay&Tam for the cache.

Nice early morning find TFTC

08-Oct-19
Very cool contraption and a great distraction for the kids while making our way through the windy roads. Log was too wet to write in. Thanks for th hide.

26-Sep-19
We saw the stinging tree next to the carpark. Sue volunteered to wait in the car. Dan scrambled up to GZ and found nothing. Then the etrex sent him another 30m up the hill, before going back down the hill then it tried to take him back up the hill again. The old bloke gave up. TFTH

21-Sep-19
Found it but the smaller part was lying on the ground separately from the main part. Log was soaked so couldn’t sign so took photo as proof which I’ll send. Well done! TFTC

22-Apr-18
Having driven from Canberra yesterday I've just finished exploring Kangaroo Valley and am headed slowly to the coast.
This cache lived up to its name although the lights last night misled me as to the scope of the view. Loved the cache. I almost had a disaster though. I left my keys on the ground at the cache to play and buried them with the camo. Thank goodness it was a quick find. On on now. A seafood lunch is waiting.
Cache found quickly and in good condition. Tftc

24-Jan-18
Dnf today - got as close as I was game in shorts and sandals. Will return in more appropriate caching attire.

15-Jan-18
TFTC Thank you for going to the effort of hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity. A clever idea. A favourite from us.

15,318. Found during a caching meander this weekend with minniek.

Heading to the Lets Wing It Again Camping Event, so we wandered around for the day filling in some gaps before heading to the camp ground. This was the next find of the day - and stunning views along here made the drive very much worth it ! Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache, and headed off to the next one.

Thanks Jay&Tam !!

fitzy_1965 and I headed out for a caching weekend with the aim of camping at Wingello so we could attend the 'Let's Wing It, Again' event Sunday morning. We decided to pick up some out of the way caches between Moss Vale and Nowra on Saturday and then up around Picton on Sunday.

At first I thought we might be looking for a needle in a haystack, but after reading the hint made a quick find and even quicker extraction of the cache. TFTC.

02-Jan-18
Once again in the forest and my GPS was proving to not be very accurate. Stumbled around for some time in the wrong area and was given a brutal reminder of the sting of the dreaded Gympie-Gympie. Chose to regather my thoughts and ignore the GPS and follow my instincts and soon had the geo in hand. Worked my way through to logging duties and replaced as found.
Returned to the car paying particular attention to give a certain plant a wide berth! TFTC

03-Sep-17
Very cool tftc

08-Aug-17
Keep away from the stinging nettle at all costs!!! Once safely past the nettle, there were many trees close together to choose from. Eventually got there and discovered a very unique cache. I love the effort that went in to this! TFTC.

Last night a last minute plan was hatched to take a caching run to Nowra! So this morning we (Tankengine and I) headed off bright and early! Had a great run, through the Southern Highlands and down the escarpment into Nowra. Found a total of 35 caches, and 2 DNFs. Cant complain about that. Love this corner of Australia - thanks Tankengine for the compant, and thanks for the cache! Great spot to stop and stretch the legs. Loved the cache as it was the best one for the day.

09-Jul-17
Cool little container this! Coordinates were well out, but the clue helped. Favourite from me. Last night a last minute plan was hatched to take a caching run to Nowra! So this morning we (Darksidedan and I) headed off bright and early! Had a great run, through the Southern Highlands and down the escarpment into Nowra. Found a total of 35 caches, and 2 DNFs. Cant complain about that. Love this corner of Australia - thanks Darksidedan for the company, and thanks J&T for the cache!

25-Apr-17
Been wanting to grab this one for a lot time. Today was the day. Only problem was those darn stinging plants. Ouch. Up my arm and through my pants. So happy to find but will be in pain for a few hours. Watch out for them. Great cache and a fav point for it. Thankyou for the cache

22-Apr-17
A quick and easy find, and an easy retrieval too. Loved the concept and the execution. Took the hard way in and the way easier way back out from GZ. Admired the view too. Thanks Jay&Tam for the cache.

18-Apr-17
Found this a"maze"ing cache at 4.20pm while on our way home from Husky and caching with Geo grandson for the day. Great hide.
No stinging nettles, leeches but a very pretty rainforest area.
Fav point from us.
Thanks Jay&Tam for the hide.

Out caching with Geo Nan, having a good day

15-Apr-17
I was able to avoid the stinging trees, but was concerned about leeches and other rainforest "surprises", but made the find with the GPSr and phone. I was also concerned about the satellite visibility, but nonetheless found an unusual cache that obviously had been given some thought. Nicely done! Thank you for the hide.

19-Dec-16
We stopped for this one, my son saw the stinging trees and wasn't keen to come in, then he saw me get stung, and there was no way he was coming. We left..... (those trees hurt!)

03-Dec-16
Stopped by the road and decided to swap my thongs with more suitable shoes while Hagar walked up to cache. He shouted, "you have to come up and see this". Of course I did, and what a great idea, never seen something like this before.

30-Oct-16
Took the wrong approach to this one and ended up turning it into a 4/4.5 terrain! Good fun getting back down to the right level and thankfully didn't slip as it was a long way down. Picked up a couple of leeches though. Once at the right level, the cache was soon found. Nce one. TFTC
Cheers,
The Hancock Clan

Stunning view. Everytime I pass this place I get envious of the house owners on the other side of the road! TFTC Smile

Was Slightly I'm the wrong place so I returned it as per the hint. Nice work on this one.

30-Jul-16
Had overheard one word of a previous finder’s experience and this was enough to give me an idea of what the “undisclosed size” of the camo would be however tree coverage didn’t make locating GZ too easy with me also paying too much attention to the terrain rating and making it harder than it needed to be. Luckily extracting the log was easier than expected and while I won’t copy it, it has inspired a name for a cache I may think about. Log sheet full so added a fresh piece of paper.

14-Jul-16
What a great puzzle!

09-Jun-16
took a little searching aroung until i realised it was laying on the ground in plain site. i replaced a little better hidden but not necessarily in the right place. thanks. cool little cache

One of the coolest caches ive seen in a long while and in a very pretty spot!

06-May-16
Drive to diving in Jervis bay on a rare Friday off. Nice views on the way down, but a bit dark at GZ. That did not stop me getting the cache out of the maze. Plenty of fun,

Thanks.

I was using the benefit of an extra day off work to extend my hunt out of my usual caching range. After spending the night in Kiama, I had an early start to go further south to Currarong. But the day was long and it had to end some time, so on my return journey home I went via a different route to find some more caches.
I've seen a few versions of this idea before. So far this one was the easiest to get to, and reset (no I didn't bother with the lock either).
I got away leech free which was a bonus!
Thanks for the cache.

17-Apr-16
Awesome idea, loved it! If you are doing it though watch for stinging nestle and leaches.

16-Apr-16
On my way to Kangaroo Valley, then Canberra via Nowra after a night in Moss Vale. An interesting spot for a cache, I imagine after a little rain (not too much) this spot would be lovely to be in. Was surprised how open it was after making the initial entry just off the road. A favourite for me, thanks Jay&Tam

05-Apr-16
Give me the views from the lookout anyway. This one is still good. Tftc.

21-Mar-16
Day 2 at Kangaroo Valley
This morning we headed back into town to find the local caches.
What a great cache, able to access the log book.
Favourite point.
Thanks for placing this cache Jay&Tam

21-Mar-16
Found at 9:21 AM GAFF1 in the company of DiMorgan.
We were surprised that we had to go that far in the bush to get some views, so we hesitated a bit letting the GPSr settle but after a minute it still said to go 26 metres into the bush. So off we go and after a short search we came across a very nice set up. Very novel. It wasn't too difficult to get to the log and then to replace it - never seen anything exactly like t his, so it gets a favourite.
Thanks Jay&Tam.

18-Feb-16
After a big day in Kiama yesterday, I had planned for today to be a quiet day at home.
(Un)Fortunately, I woke up early enough to consider heading to Nowra - worth the full day out geocaching.
Still chipping away at the 50km radius, today I picked up 10% of the remaining hides, which isn't too bad at all! Thanks for the hot, sweaty, dirty and exhausting day.

---End Copy/Paste Section---

4th of the day, I had troubles here once before - I was heading up the wrong track (parallel to the road, rather than perpendicular).
This time the hint was much more obvious, and a field puzzle was found!
Soon had the logbook for signing.

Very DIY, very inventive. Thanks for the cache Jay&Tam, you should hide more creative hides around!

30-Jan-16
Thanks Jay&Tam for a great and different cache. I confess it did take me three goes to find but I got there in the end. Very inventive, I appreciate cachers that put some and time and effort into caches, mint tins do get boring particularly in the armco railing. TFTC SL Cool

[Late log] TFTC

23-Jan-16
Sorry for the late log on these caches, but we've been having too much fun on school holidays. We went out caching with Dad (The Rats) as we'd come to Kangaroo valley for the weekend.
Loved the little puzzle which Dad let us do.
Thanks

23-Jan-16
Spent the Australia Day weekend down in Kangaroo Valley and it wouldn't be a weekend away without getting a few caches.
Had to head into Nowra so took the opportunity to stop here. The kids loved the puzzle.
Thanks

15-Jan-16
Found this one on our way home from our holiday in Nowra, thanks for bringing us to this location.

Worth all the stings! Such an awesome idea. TFTC!

As usual, I decide to do a cache while driving through, IN MY THONGS, lol. Garmin had me in the wrong direction, GPS reception made me work way too hard for this one. Got it in the end. TFTC
