Yay this my 1000th cache . Here in Ballarat to go to my daughters graduation. She is now a kinder teacher. It was only fitting to get my 1000 cache today. I had 13 to find before the ceremony. This cache was a nice easy find TFTC
TFTC. Setting up camp for a week in Murray Bridge before the MEGA for 29th Feb!Moving to Ballarat for another week afterwards. Last hurrah travelling before wooding season at home starts!Happy caching and safe travels!
Found the cache after a little walk into the trees. It was uncovered so we have put some bark over it to make it a bit more camouflaged! Log is wet. TFTC!
We found a very damp log at the GZ coordinates which were pretty good. Once we were within a few metres, according to the finding device, I spied it conveniently located, but CybergranV got to it first. Teamwork!
Our last for this afternoon before Surefoot24, the Evil Muggle, and I go off for tea together. A lovely hot sunny day in Ballarat. We were glad to add our names to this log, thanks for placing it here for our entertainment
Found, but the log is damp, I was able to sign it but may need to be replaced soon. TFTC
After walking through every possible cobweb around the cache we finally found it! Thanks for the cache
was left out in the open so i covered it up alittle bit more (: very nice sunset
I was able to log a few caches on the last evening in Australia. Very nice nature with nice views.

Spending a few days in Ballarat and with some more free time this afternoon, and while heading back into from a few multis, stopped by for this one. Cache was found without issue and the log signed.
Thanks for another one kittykittykitty.
Thanks for another one kittykittykitty.
It was just sitting on the ground in a little clearing. We moved it slightly to hide it a bit better.
I love that I get to come to the Ballarat region for work. It means I'm in the car, listening to my favourite podcasts and getting a cache or 2 (or more :p).
Cache is in good condition here. I had to take out a handful of lollies that were placed in the cache. Surely people should know that leaving food behind is a no no!!
Thanks for the cache

Some good friends had decided to head to Ballarat for a few weeks so I decided I needed a break and joined them, we had a great time out caching as well as sharing stories and laughs around a meal or two. I really love the area of Ballarat there is so much history and I am sure it has the largest population of Oak trees in the Country.
This is one of the caches found today.
Some caches logged as RASP rebel acts &Ski pair.

Today we focussed on finishing off the Ballarat Geo Tour so it was a day we were all over the place collecting the remaining ones and any other caches we came near on the way. This had us out in the bush and in suburbia, but there were some great hides found.
With work encouraging us to take some holidays and Mr SKI having quite a few weeks up his sleeve it was time to take another short break and do some sightseeing and caching in parts of Victoria we seldom visit.
This time we decided it would be Ballarat. There is a wide variety of cache types and quite a number of Adventure Labs to do, so the area is quite attractive. And that doesn't include the historical and interest aspects as well.
We organized to meet up with some friends while there so we would have the opportunity to do some joint as well as solo caching.
We have already had some great adventures on a few challenging caches that generated a lot of fun and as usual always good to find some pre-solved puzzles.
All logs signed as SKI Pair, RASP (Rebel Acts & SKI Pair or SP depending on size of logs and availability of space.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache kittykittykitty.

After attending a nearby event I thought I'd grab a few caches on my way home. This was the last for the day.
The GPS was a little unsettled so I headed to what I thought would be a hiding spot. Dodging and ducking spider webs, the cache was found nicely placed.
TFTC, left a swap.

Got it two meters away from original spot little bit of a search and you might find it
Was passing by so took the opportunity to find this one. Nice quick find. Thanks for the cache.
Day three of the Geo Tour adventure with OHC, GT37, Papi4506. Off to explore more of Ballarat and surrounds.
Wandered into the bush and wandered out with a smile on our face.
Thanks kittykittykitty for the cache.

There is a very pleasant bush feeling on this campus, unlike Geelong's Deakin Uni.
We parked in the obvious spot, followed the direction of the GPS but stopped when we found what we were after, when the device still wanted to send us further along.
The only wildlife we noticed were a few little skinks that scuttled to safety. Thanks for the guided tour around the University!

My first find for this series. Took the doggo for a walk along the trail then went hunting on my way back to the car. Dodged all the mozzies and ditched the gps (too much overhead I think) and looked in the logical spots. Found in no time. I covered it over a bit more than when I found it.

Time for a anoth find after the CITO. A quick find with spot on co-ords. Thanks Kittykittykitty
After securing the cache find in sight of the Ark,
I was now worried that ASIO agents might have spotted me hanging around there !! [:o]
So I made damn sure that this cache was a quick find next to the computing laboratory !!
There have to be drones surveilling this area !! [:o]
And I don't want to be followed back to camp tonite
Lucky for me yer average drones battery life is only about 20 minutes
Oh wait !!
If I am dealing with ASIO,
there maybe a 'Global Hawk' on me tail [:o]
They can arm those things with missiles,
and they can fly for 48 hours at a time
Run away ... Run away !! [:o]

Nice to be able to log a cache on the last day of 2019 while visiting Mt Helen
Found at 4:57 PM GAFF1.
That was a lot further into the bush than expected, but in the end it was a really easy find as once again the cache was totally exposed - I think the newby was here before us again
Last cache for the day and now back to where we are staying in readiness for a big party.
Thanks kittykittykitty

I headed to Ballarat for a lunch event and a tree maintenance event. That gave me some time to grab some caches on the way there, as well as a few afterwards. Found without too much trouble.
My thanks to kittykittykitty for the cache.

We were in Ballarat today for an appointment, and, despite the cold wet weather, we decided to go caching afterwards - as you do. We swung by wozzle68's house and picked him up for the ride. Waited for a muggle to jog on by, then made the quick find. TFTC kittykittykitty.
Glad we chose to do the uni caches on the weekend! Not near as many people around! Found this one relatively quickly! TFTC, TNLNSL, CIGC
We really prefer to be doing uni's on a weekend they do not seem to be as busy. SL TFTC
Parked on the corner and walked the 40 odd Ms to the GZ then I found I was spoilt for choice as to which object to start with. By some unknown reason I picked the right one first up I suppose I can't be un lucky all the time. TFTC.
Quick and easy find. The cache and log are in okay condition, but there is some water on the inside. Thanks!
Tonight we decided to go on an adventure we headed off from Ballarat at 9:00pm On Saturday 1/9/18 and found our last cache at 9:30am on Sunday 2/9/18. We had a total of 23 finds on our adventure this cache was 16th of the 23 finds.

What better way to get get out of a hot house on a 39degree evening but to go and grab some caches that have been on our to do list for a long time. With the gps not settling properly we looked in the only logical spot and found the goods.
Thanks kittykittykitty for the placement for us and others to enjoy.

With the sunset set and the air wet. It was a perfect time to cache around Ballarat.
Picked up the Simsfamily to turn a few green boxes into smilies. Once I'd found a suitable place to park the cache was soon in hand.
Log signed and replaced as found.

Found by Mary & David at 1310. We really have loved this little series around the University. It has given us so much entertainment. Our thanks to kittykittykitty.
"Remember that shop we went to at Easter? Can we please go back there?" The GeoKids were reminiscing about The Crafty Squirrel - a rather fun and cute shop we visited when in Ballarat over the Easter school holidays. I took the opportunity for some incentive-based encouragement: we could indeed go to The Crafty Squirrel, and they could spend $1 for every cache we found on the way, with a bonus $1 for every cache they found (rather than me or GeoHubby making the find). Everybody wins!
We parked overlooking GeoHubby's old workplace. GeoKids a little too eager to earn their bonus dollar here, and overshot the GZ by quite a way, so I made the easy find.
Log signed and all replaced as found.
TFTC!
PS. 10 caches found, $14 earned, in case you're interested!

Find #1386 for me. I was actually on my way to "Fed Trails - Stars" as I'd put it on my watch-list when it went missing, but was happy to see this one pop up on my screen before I got there. Actually I wasn't planning to be in this area at all. Today I made the trip from Bendigo to Ballarat (as I do most Sundays) to visit my elderly mother who was with me today. While she often joins me on short walks, today it was extra cold outside so naturally she preferred to wait in the car. As a result I abandoned the Yarrowee Creek Trail in favor of some drive-bys. This was a quick find for me today, with no spider-webs to be seen - Motndarg must have cleared the area before me I think! Thanks for this cache and the others you've placed in the area kittykittykitty!
This was a fairly easy find after getting caught up in the spider webs! Thanks kittykittykitty.
This one had us bushwhacked for awhile,I was ready to move on when kazzacosmo yelled found it TFTC
Out geocaching with the littlest geo kid. He loved exploring this bush can you see him in the photo?
