Ah yes, I love a large container. I can usually find them. Sadly though, your outer container has become brittle and is letting water in. The inside container is in better shape, but the logbook needs to be dried out.

Out today finding some Large sizes to fill in some gaps in my stats. Cache in good condition.

17-Feb-24
After an event in Cherbourg this morning, we joined forces with GreenGecko1, Muggle65 and Brislions to wander our way back home, picking up target caches along the way. Some we sought because of their type, some because of their D/T, some their size and some because they sounded interesting. Thanks for placing this one PalsLove

Out with Muggle65, Brislions and DisSister for some caching fun today. Thank you for the fun

Bit of a tough one to find even with the size as it was so wet and overgrown. Was determined to not be the first person to log as DNF. Also wasn't in the fork of the tree as expected but soggy and scratched, we finally located it. Stamped and placed back where a previous photo showed it should be. There was also a good litre or so of water to the extra container was great keeping everything dry. Definitely needs a new lid for the bucket. But any finds a good find. TFTC!!!!!

It’s happening, it’s finally happening! Alyce and I are going places and grabbing caches while on our way to QOGM.

Our day started early in Caboolture South and with the car packed and a list of caches dialled in we were on our way. We made our way along the Dag’ Highway to Blackbutt and Yarraman then down the New England Highway grabbing a few caches in the vicinity than arriving at the Warrego and taking that all the way to Morven while stopping at several places in between. Unfortunately we had to leave it at that due to fading light and made our way to Augathella for the night.

What an adventure! The places you visit and the experiences you have is something else.

Thanks for bringing us here.

Found easily, it’s so big! Issues here and the CO isn’t active - container lid is knackered and it’s half full of water. Drained everything and dried the salvageable swag and put in a new 2l sistema inside the bucket.

Tossed up whether to store original bucket upside down or on its side to keep the water draining away - maybe the next finder can try this.

Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

Log signed in first open spot with stamp

Easy to spot in its hiding place. Lots of water inside. The log book had been wrapped in a shopping bag so it was only a little damp. Signed the log and re-wrapped it in the bag. Tipped all the water out and dried off the swag. Replaced everything back in the bucket and returned it to its hiding place.
Thanks for the cache Pals Love.

Spending a rainy day chasing old caches, large caches and certain attributes in the Cooyar/Yarraman area. This one certainly met the criteria, pulled up alongside and quickly located the cache. I tipped out the water that had accumulated in the bottom and added our name to the log. Tftc PalsLove

A week long holiday of driving for the 3 turmoils as we headed to Emerald for the geoart.

Getting a rare large cache is apparently something to get excited about - according to my good friend Chamad. So we stopped for this one and persevered through the long grass to get the booty.

It's been far too many months since The Bromance last went on a weekend geocaching road trip so plans were made a couple of weeks ago for a journey north towards Kingaroy and the surrounding area. Unfortunately Crookedpete was unable to make it due to family commitments so it was a Bromance Lite+ trip of JezNDez, Swellerfungus and Seffnjarah.

Initially we planned on visiting the cache at the Yarraman Heritage Centre first but we were still a little ahead of the opening time so drove on to find this one to occupy the time. Although I was the backseat passenger, I was delegated the navigational duties for this cache but was too busy talking at the vital time and failed to indicate the required turnoff. At least I couldn't stuff up the finding of this cache, being big enough even for me to find. Signed the logbook with The Bromance team stamp (although there may be a slight glitch with the date shown on the stamp). TFTC

15-May-21
An appropriate name for this cache as our chief navigator did not advise us to turnoff, we circled around and made the find

15-Apr-21
Found at 10:30 AM GAFF1.
On our way to Caboolture after staying a few days in Cooyar where there was an ablsolutely lovely free camp ground.
This stop was very convenient as there was a very good wide turning area for our van to get back onto the road again - and as is very common, there was a massive semi behind us which meant that we could not really stop on the NE Hwy [xx(]
A nice sized container that is quite rare these days.
Thanks PalsLove

Heading out on a LONG drive today.
From north Brisbane, to Esk, to Lake Cressbrook, Crows Nest, Haden, Cooyah, Yarramann, Nanango, Murgon and Boat Mountain, And return!!! No rest for the wicked. 500 kms+ in a day, with good weather, good company and good caches. Bliss!

I was looking for a couple of caches - larges ones, popular ones, old ones, high ones.
This was one of those caches! Thanks for contributing to an awesome day out caching. Home now, exhausted but happy.

**Found 12/12/2020 at 2:41:16 PM Smiley #934 Big Grin**

Christmas Trip 2020 was a blast! 2 adults, 4 kids and 2 dogs towing a camper trailer visiting lots of places in the Queensland Outback. Started Cooroy, staying in Dalby, Nindigully Pub, Charlotte Plains Station, Charleville, Roma, Emerald, Rockhampton and then Yandaran for Christmas before heading home. 4600 kilometers in two and a half weeks with lots of caches in between (well as many as I was allowed to).

All caches were found with ease and in good condition unless stated otherwise, thank you to all the cache owners for placing these caches, especially the ones in remote areas that were great to stop, stretch the legs, and get another smiley.

The bucket is starting to disintegrate though, might need a new bucket. Was great to grab a large cache!

Thanks for the cache **PalsLove** Big Grin

Out today on a mission to grab a few targeted caches while on a trip to a community event, seems not only Santa has a list, love the list. This was not on the list and you just gotta stop for a large cache and it was a simple grab for us today. The big ones need some loving too, so a favourite point for me. It’s hard to find large caches and to place them, so well done It was then back on the road and follow the list. Hmm lost count as to what number this one was today now lol.

With the log signed and cache replaced it was off to the next one on the list, or add a couple to the list. All good with this one, dropped a TB in the cache, thanks for placing it here.

Lance Constable Bluejohn is the largest troll in the city. People can’t see him on the crowd because he is the crowd. In the Watch we use him as the riot shield. I’ve not seen anyone come off better after a run in with him.

Found by Mary and David at 1120. Don't think we've seen 4m flood markers before. What a sight that would be? We left home a week ago, heading to Fraser Island tomorrow for a family gathering - all our children and grandchildren together. Later, we go south again to the Clear Waters Mega. Wonderful to see a decent container here. Our thanks to PalsLove.

#9025 - 07:20; Day 4 of a long planned mission to South East Queensland with Sol de lune and after a couple of days in and around Nanango and the wider South Burnett area, it was time to head back towards Brisbane, then home later on Tuesday. Stopped for this one as we headed from Nanango towards Toowoomba. Not too often I've found two large caches in one day, but it has just happened again! TFTC PalsLove Smile

Pulled off here before heading back onto the main road into Nanango, we were heading there to chase one geocache in particular, a multi, but we did manage to stop and grab a couple of caches before, Mrs Wallaby lept out of Grover the Geo-Jimny and was soon pushing her way through scrub when she soon called out she had a few scratches, being a scrub wallaby, I was used to this kind of thing and soon had the cache in hand, log signed, good sized container, made it something different for us.. tftc

Hi there PalsLove.

We have based ourselves in Nanango for a few days & picked a cache that was some distance away and then tried the "Next Closest" route calculation method to complete our cache raid. Unfortunately that didn't quite go to plan as some of the caches on the rail trail were a little above Penny's terrain rating so we took a punt on "Beans", and that took us on quite a mystery tour. (Unfortunately we didn't get the final as it was an unsolved puzzle before we started, and those don't even make it into our GPS.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around the area & ended up finding quite a variety of container types, and sizes hidden along our route. Thanks also for placing a large cache container here. It made us feel really glad to find a large, kid friendly cache (with swaps) here. SmileSmile

We found 18 caches today & DNF'd 0. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The cache has been soaked at some stage.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

Crew 153 and I had big plans to try and get 100 caches in a day today.

However, Crew 153's Ford Falcon had other ideas and brought us to a screeching halt at cache number 50 by blowing it's fuel pump.

We were both calm and collected about it. We still got 50 caches. Car got safely towed to Kilcoy. Mr Slow Puncture came and rescued us.. and there are still more than enough caches out there for us to try again. There ends my "cut and paste" part of the log Razz

In New Zealand there is a very sharp shrub that must have been lovingly crafted by Lucifer himself called "Matagouri". I believe I found its Australian equivalent near this GZ. Had I gone the correct way to get to the cache, I probably could have avoided the offending shrub. The log was signed and we moved on. TFTC PalsLove Smile

Fangsoki and I had picked this area for a day of caching to find caches for the Hidden Creatures Souvenirs and after an early start I finally finished the day with a total of 53 finds when we struck engine trouble and had to abort the mission.

This cache was find number 2 for the day.

We had passed the cache on the way to find Farm View and then the GPS wanted us to take a long route to get back to the same spot. W ignored it and took the short route and stopped on the way back for a quick find.

After some powernapping, we continued along our scenic route to Nanango and pulled up at the turn off. Looking forward to finding a large cache for a change, we weren't disappointed. Big Grin
We had to negotiate a bit of long grass and fallen branches, as well as another load of cobblers pegs, but soon found the spot.
Took old fire truck, left orange bracelet. Also found and took The Equator-bug TB (Singaporean $2 note crane) not listed in the cache inventory.
