I certainly didn't want to wander into the olde wine shop [:o]
That building is falling down fast
Like a drunk who has had too many vinos !!! [:o]
I poked around near the front door for a while,
and after 10 minutes of exploration,
I couldn't find the cache
This cache promised Champagne,
and delivered sparkling white [:o]

Passing thru this time, glad it had dried out a bit, possible snakes last January, nice hide, tftc
I love old places, this one must have so much history and looked very old with its timber supports for the roof which were still pretty much just branches of trees. I am guessing it was built many years ago. I couldn't help but notice there was still traces of many years of wall papering, as I looked closer I noticed that one of the original layers was actually an old newspaper, I took a photo which I enlarged when I arrived back at our caravan unfortunately there isn't enough too make sense but the writting that is there is still very clear, oh how I wish there had been a date.
thanks for sharing the old wine shop with us.

Would never have stopped at this old cottage. But it was worth the stop and a quick look around. Caching today with MeAndMyMinions256. TfTc
Wow what a spot. So many possible hiding spots. We ended up reading some past logs to help us on this one.
Travelling through Tamworth and staying for a couple of days. Due to the number of caches found I am doing a generic comment. Enjoyed the towns, villages and countryside and also the caches that have been placed. Thank you very much to the CO.

It was a case of who was the bravest here - Richmond Lad took the lead and soon spotted the hide - but no wine to celebrate - maybe another time!
What an interesting old bit of history. We enjoyed this cache as we headed north. Thanks for placing it for us to discover. Cheers and happy caching. Favourite point awarded.
Decided to spend a few days in Tamworth with my geodog Scruffy, so we just had to get out and find some of the caches hidden in my old home town.
Last time couldn't find it ... but got it this time ...
All Good .. TFTC ..

I was somewhat disappointmented to find that the only thing worth finding was the cache. with no wine anywhere. well it maybe abit early in the day anyway. TFTC.
After attending the Mega at Alexandra we are making our way home to Nanango in Queensland in three days caching all the way. We have been selective as we are on a time line.
Parked off the highway and made my way up the adjacent drive way then through the grass to the verandah. Following the hints in the description and with no GPSr in my hands I thought where would I hide this. Started my search at the third doorway from the drive way and saw a piece of wood that looked out of place.
Knelt down and shone my torch in and there was the container.
Quick find here. All good with this done. All you need is in the description and to look under the floor boards at the third doorway close to the jamb.
I use YOF on small, micro and nano logs to safe space on the paper.

Spent a loooong time here. We initially went by the hint but when that gave no result we went by the CO's coordinates. This took us through the old wine shop and out the back and would have had us in the paddock next door except we weren't prepared to climb the fence. We checked back through the logs and found Muff1's coords and these seemed more encouraging. Within a minute or two we had the cache.
This was a fascinating old building. The brick well looked pretty cool too. Thanks Whitey

This geocacher reported that there is a problem with this cache.
Would suggest that CO update the coords to those of Muff1's and amend the hint.

Yes, I think that qualifies as dilapidated. We waded through long grass and cobbler's pegs to reach the ramshackle structure, which I doubt I'd have noticed from the road had it not been for the cache. Being snake season, it was a nerve wracking search conducted mostly by stick, and we used muff1's coordinates to help us find it. Took probably 15 minutes and we were about to quit, but then found it at the far edge of our search area. TFTC, Whitey Wiskas. =^.^=
Second day at Tamworth - loved country and plenty to see scene, animal etc.
Some of the cache was brilliant create. it make me enjoyed myself. [^]
**Fav from me**
Thanks Whitey Wiskas for organising the cache and hunt [^]

6647 Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1430. With the information presented we had to revert to the hint here. Searched for about 15 minutes and was just about to give up, then the find was made SL Tnx Whitey Wiskas
GPS had GZ at least 30 meters from the old shop front.Searched where tip said,no luck. The only thing that i did get was to hit my head on the now low verandah.. Not the best search place.. TFTC (I think)
Spending a couple of days here in Tamworth and doing our best to collect the surrounding caches. The last time we were through here we cleaned out all the caches that we needed to find and left the town clean of any unfound caches.
We returned yesterday to find that the local cachers have been very busy hiding caches in some very ingenious ways.
This one had us heading to the back of the building and when we could not find any container so we read a little and headed back to the front and soon had the container in hands. We have included the co-ords that worked for us. We use a Garmin Montana 650t. SL TFTC

Third time lucky - or is it fourth? Anyway my phone gps was still unhappy with the new coords, but I relied on the new clue in the description and there it was pretty much on the open. Tucked a little further in but still visible after signing. TFTC whitey

Found by Mary & David at 0930. Took a while to find, but the description, some previous logs and a little logic added up to the correct location. Our thanks to Whitey Wiskas.
Ok this is now the most frustrating cache I have come across. 4 visits totalling nearly 2 hours. GZ is the well, but it does'nt lock on or settle. C.O says its out the front, the hint, there's wood everywhere. WHERE IS IT ???
Frustrating, another wasted 20 mins. GZ appears to be around the well, as per logs I did not go into the building this time, searched right around the building. Needle in a haystack, difficulty and terrain are to low.
2nd attempt, all is AOK with the cache!!!!BUT" Things "have changed since last visit (NB .. CO 's note)..Thanks Whitey Wiskas.......
We have travelled up from Sydney, to spend a week or so in Tamworth & Nundle for the April school holidays, staying at the Big4 Paradise caravan park in our Jayco Swan outback camper trailer. Today is our last day in Tamworth, before heading off to Nundle for a few days, and we decided on a trip up to Moonbi Lookout. Travelled up the New England Highway and returned via the Back Kootingal Road, collecting caches along the way. This was the 2nd find of the day, 43rd find of the holiday.
We all loved this one, and it was so much fun exploring the old wine shop. Took several GPSr readings well away from the building, projecting the distances towards the building, to estimate the true location of GZ. Also held the GPSr up through a hole in the roof to get a good "internal" reading.
And all the hard work finally paid off when geomum spotted the hide. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. Thanks Whitey Wiskas for the fun family adventure, and for the cache. Well worth a Favourite point.

I don't doubt this cache is here, but 30 mins looking could'nt reveal it, to many spots, gps would'nt lock on and i think the clue is to vague as the whole place is wood, frustrating....
Checked today and found the log is still there. You don't need to go in to the "building"
Moved from Uralla to Tamworth today. Stopped for a couple of caches on the way.
After setting up camp in the caravan park, we then set out in Whitey Whiskas Territory.
The caches were all mostly a quick find with good co-ords or a good hint.
After reading geono's log we understood exactly what she meant. We were reluctant to enter the property. Spent sometime surching & eventually we found this well hidden cache. I sure wouldn't like to come here in the dark.
I agree the difficulty rating should be higher.
I have given it a favourite point, I'm not sure why. Its seems like a haunted house, if only these walls could talk.
Thanks for placing this cache Whitey Wiskas

We knew where to find the Old Wine Shop, we've driven past hundreds of times, but as for stopping.....never. And it was with trepidation that we stepped into the Shop with the most structurally sound part being the vine. It was a careful search. We didn't want to unwittingly bump a pivotal piece that was keeping the building upright. The iPhone was unhappy being in the Shop and the amount of hides was almost overwhelming so we took our bearings outside. This was one of the tougher 1.5D caches we've searched for. Finding it felt like a miracle and had there been any wine on offer we would have drank to the success . . . . . . as it was we continued on to Acacia Road. TFTC Whitey Whiskas, the circular brick structure is a clever bit of construction.
Just took the Mrs for a look random as and just happened to look in a certain area!
There were many a place it could have been,
But none of them it was ....
will try when next in area.

No luck with this one today. Will definitely be back, very interesting spot. Thanks Whitey
Thanks for the cache. Took quite a while for this one. No grog in the shoppe though.
Found at 1:26 PM GAFF3.
We were looking forward to this cache as we wanted to buy some wine for tonight. You should have seen our disappointment when we arrived at GZ and saw the state of the shop - it's a derelict! Wonder if there is a secret cellar somewhere down in the ground with treasures to be found- maybe 50 year old wines?
Interesting to see the construction of these huts - joists laying directly on the ground and wall paper over timber walls with huge gaps in them.
We spent a bit of time searching, only to find that it was in a relatively simple and easy to get at spot.
Thanks Whitey Wiskas.

nothing like a bit of local history (everybody seems to forget to quick theses days) TFTC whitey an interesting G.Z. TNLN
This house is gorgeous, it was nice and cool on the verandah. I love the old well out the side. TFTC
We love looking around derelict homes. Oldest one we've seen. Hope it stands for years yet. Took a bit of a look, so many hiding places. TFTC
Found with dwindling sunlight. Not a cache or area i would like to be in and around when its warm. Thanks for the history.
Tftc 2nd to find. Glad to have a smiley on this on one before the snakes wake from their winter slumber
