Nice view. Good hide in interesting spot. Exploring the area with ToucanKB and Danielle46, signing as KTD. Tftc
Out caching with KabbellaQld and Danielle46 signed as KTD . quick find great view TFTC
Camping at Eidsvold for 2 nights, which provided the opportunity to seek out the abundance of caches in the area. Managed to find all but one cache collecting the last ones near the Saleyards in the drizzly afternoon showers. This country is so thick with pastures, and well fattened cattle. Thanks to the CO for placing this cache.
Today's geocaching adventure brought me to a poignant location a lookout that bore witness to a recent bushfire, a reminder of the incredible resilience of nature. The coordinates guided me to this solemn yet hopeful place. The cache container,, was still intact. It served as a symbol of the indomitable spirit of geocaching. Careful search and determination led me to its discovery. Inside, I found the logbookAs I signed the logbook, I couldn't help but reflect on the power of renewal and nature's capacity to rebound after adversity. The view from this lookout, now transformed by the regrowth of greenery, was a testament to life's resilience.I'd like to express my gratitude to the cache owner for placing this cache in a location that serves as a reminder of the strength of both nature and the geocaching community.Until the next adventure,
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location. (HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do. [:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort. Devilish Brilliant and Clever I like it Another one off the list TTBLNSL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH - Rothy 6 [^]
I was initially going to miss this cache given my lack of time, but a last-minute decision to turn off the main street and head to this cache, only to be treated to a location with not bad views! I was a little worried about the last DNF, but to my surprise, I didnt have any issues at GZ with the geocache's accurate coordinates. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Rothy6 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------This 1.5 week trip, the purpose was the Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster (QOGM) in Longreach, with its aim to encourage tourism and support in rural towns. Departing from Brisbane on Friday 15/09/2023, I travelled solo taking the northern route through Gayndah, Emerald and Jericho on my way to the event, and then returned through Blackall, Morven, St George, Goondiwindi, and Toowoomba arriving back on Monday 25/09/2023.My Longreach highlights included the two QOGM muster/rally days visiting Muttaburra and Isisford; the Qantas Founders Museum; Stockmans Hall of Fame; Silver Tails Rail Sunset Tour; and the general historical town vibe. Other highlights to/from Longreach included climbing Mt Scoria; Barcaldine's Tree of Knowledge and kayaking in the water park; Blackall woolshed scour; and the smaller intriguing and historical towns that I passed through.During my travel days when I was time-poor, I targeted geocaches that were older in age, high D-T, puzzles/challenges, and rare cache types. In addition, I added 7-8 visited LGAs to my statistics. The scenery was memorable with picturesque sunsets, and a diversity of flora and fauna. There were plenty of kangaroos and wallabies, emus, goannas/lizards, brolgas, hawks, and alas wild hogs, and goats.Today, a full travel day was pencilled, driving from Gayndah to Emerald via Biloela.I started the day visiting the towns lookout before attending the local parkrun. Well and truly warmed up, I closed out my Gayndah visit with a drive up to the lookout and then visited the [Upside Down Bridge](https://coord.info/GC8ZMQ3) in the town across the river - an engineering masterpiece!I tend to be far too slow in my travel days morning, perhaps stopping at geocaches more than I should, although I enjoyed my visits to various towns. Perhaps at the hottest time of the day, I hurriedly hiked up Mt Scoria, and the basalt columns were impressive.I had lunch in Biloela and completed the [Biloela My Home Town](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/af82ce36-2dcf-4ff3-ab59-75a503cad4f2) Adventure Lab, and then I decided to take fewer stops to then arrive in Emerald just as the light was fading. Post dinner, I tried to find a few more town geocaches, visiting the botanic gardens to the south, and more of the Emerald cotton geoart.
Easy little park and grab. The cache is in good condition. Signed and replaced. Thanks Rothy6 for placing the cache with this wonderful view.

Quick find. Pity about the local party exploits in the area. Enjoyed watching a couple of eagles playing in the thermals. Definitely the best spot to look down on Eidsvold
Found it with pippahiccup and suzi1972, and Dave,on a day trip exploring Eidsvold.
GC day trip to Eidsvold with Drennostar & Suzi1972 (& Dave) to catch some smilies and see the countryside. Just happened that we arrived on the weekend of the Eidsvold Show, so town was quite busy.
Thanks Rothy6 for placing this cache!
Had no idea what to expect on the road up to this cache but were pleasantly surprised by the view from up here! Thank you for showing us.

Dez(JezNDez) and I had ventured out from Brisbane to Cania Gorge for a couple of days to successfully completed a FTF walk out to the Castle Mountain Lookout covering some 25km on our journey there and back (including a few detours). After heading back out to the Gorge this morning to finish off some other nearby caches that we were too tired to visit yesterday, it was now time to slowly make our way home, visiting some more caches along the way including this one.
In my planning I had failed to note that Dez had already found this one (we don't usually visit caches that someone has already found) but she kindly relented and waited in the shade of the car while I strode off towards GZ. It certainly was warm here with the heat from the sun reflecting straight off the rocks as I searched. A little to and fro later and I had the container to hand and was signing the logbook. Some nice views from up here. TFTC

This is a lovely view. Two curious horses watched us drive up to the cache, and several cows and their calves greeted us at the summit.
Tftc Rothy6, day 2 in town, hope to get quite a few smilies today.
Lots of rocks, but we found it.

For the end of the year, a plan was set afoot to go camping for a night in Auburn River National Park. Today I'm rolling out that way with Fangsoki and 1MinnieMoo as we head a bit north and a lot west from Brisbane. I was happy to just bother with the two priority geocaches hundreds of kilometres from home, but alas, there are plenty of geocaches along the way that make happy for statistics and challenge qualification all around, so a few stops were had - fine by me. After finding a run of eleven 'scattered along the roadside' style hides, I was intrigued by this one that seemed a bit more thoughtful!
Quite nicely, I got to sit in the back, indifferent to where we stopped and MinnieMoo had planned which to stop at and run the pocket queries. We detoured towards this view and as we headed up the hill, Fang got a bit unimpressed by the cattle grid, though it was obvious just an access to the top of the hill. As we peeled out on top, just past some kangaroos, I was well impressed with the view. Eidsvold holds some stark and awful memories for me, so I'm happy to be surprised.
There was a lot to look at. There's so far to see, lots of rock formations, years of visitors, bugs, and flora too. After poking around a little it was Minnie who came up with the goods. Truth be told I was distracted taking photos and making wisecracks. I noted the old logbook is a bit full but some nice human has added an extra in an eclipse tin underneath. names were added to the logbook at 15:04 before we navigated around the water tank back to the car.
I pondered who Dimie might be but saw no indication while here. Though we did spot a leak in an overflow of the tank and a long line of green grass is very happy about that. Back in the Pajero and we're off; outta Eidsvold and onto the penultimate target for today. Thanks for showing me this place, Rothy6

An overnight journey with Fangsoki and Captain Terror to West Eidsvold picking up a few caches along the way to our final destination to camp the night in Auburn. Well this one has a surprise or two up its sleeve. We passed some gorgeous horses on the way through only to arrive at a pretty good view, then make an interesting find.
Looks like the water tap around the other side needs some attention from the dept - it’s pouring quite a bit of water and the area under it is now nice and green!
Thanks for the cache Rothy6.

Captain Terror, 1MinnieMoo and I were heading west to Auburn and its "environs". We deemed it would be plain rude not to grab a few caches as we headed west.
I was a little dubious to start with going through a few gates - but then it appeared we were right where we should be. We parked up and made our way under the hot sun.
We soon found the prize and signed the log.. and then took in the view. This was a fairly interesting area. TFTC Rothy6

On our way to QOGM (Blackall) day 20 of our trip. 2 caches for the day and 572 for the trip.TFTC
Hi there Rothy6. Today was a driving day, but a relaxed day was intended with slow driving and not a great distance planned. We had intended to stop next in Mondo or perhaps Biloela but stopped early in Eidsvold. Geocaching along the way was an intended diversion and a handful of caches were found with more later around Eidsvold once settled in the Caravan Park there. This cache was a quick find after parking nearby and the container and the log are dry and quite useable. SL, TN, LN. Thanks to Rothy6 for this cache - our find #6788.
Spent the last few days roadtripping via Bundy, Gladstone, Rocky and Yeppoon with Lennondayz29, grabbing a few older/interesting caches along the way. We stayed in Monto last night, and were up and about early for the last run back to Brisbane. We stopped in and around Eidsvold for a couple of caches, and for a break from the drive, but due to a lack of signal we were searching somewhat blind. Find was still made quite easily. TFTC

A day caching around Eidsvold before heading back to the Sunshine Coast. Arrived at Dimie's View in the pouring rain and couldn't see any view at all but fortunately the cache was an easy find. Decided to make this the last cache for the day in Eidsvold as the rain was getting a lot harder. Will have to come back for the rest in the future. TFTC Rothy6

Lots of fun collecting art and trads while in the area! Thanks for the cache
Heading to Emerald from Brisbane for the purpose of collecting the new geo-art. One of the team selected a few along the way so we could tick some county boxes. It was a nice break from driving. Cache signed with JAE or some combination of the three letters for the three travellers.
Day 1: Brisbane to Emerald. Travelling with JACS Team and Eat Sleep Cache Repeat to collect the cotton geoart in Emerald. Stopped for a few interesting caches along the way before finishing the day with a few caches in Emerald itself. Great caches all around. TFTC!
Hi there Rothy6.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around Eidsvold today. After a false start, due to the rain, we ended up finding a variety of containers hidden along our route. We're sure that there is a cache at every significant spot in town - and a few interesting spots not too far away as well.
All up we found 20 caches & DNF'd 0. Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places while we meander around Australia..
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache about 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** Found two signed both.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge in the larger one.
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Day 14 of our road trip to the QOGM and return and today we head off from Biloela to Mundubbera via Eidsvold. Thank you so much to all the COs who have placed caches along the highways and byways that we will travel over in the fourteen days we are away. Without your caches we would not see and/or learn about your local area.
Traveling through Eidsvold we stopped to do most of the caches around the town. A great afternoon caching and thank you to the CO's for placing them.

I am traveling a very zigzag route to QOGM in Barcaldine. I have been unwell, so delayed the start of my trip by several days. I spent last night in Eidsvold and wanted to find a few caches in the area before I left. Next, I made my way to this one. I parked the goemobile and took the time to admire the view from here before searching for the cache. It didn't take long to locate Dimie and the cache he guards. After adding my name to thee log, I left Dimie to continue enjoying the view and continued on my way. TFTC
Heading out from Mundubbera today, we thought we would go and have a look around Eidsvold and the countryside around there. There also seem to be quite a lot of caches to be found in the area. It was a good day and we collected over 30, which we were very pleased with. Thank you to Rothy6 for contributing to our fun for today with this cache. Logs were duly signed before we moved on.
Staying in Mundubbera for a week for Christmas. Took our great-niece on her first caching adventure around Eidsvold. Niece asked why this one has 2 hearts. I told her they are favourite points, because people liked this cache for some reason.
When we got to GZ she was looking for cache, pulled out baby doll and kept looking ha ha. I told her to have a closer look at the doll ... that is why there are favourite points. Original log was wet, but someone has left a new log in an eclipse tin. T4T$

Found whilst on our road trip to Alice Springs for the mega. Great view and a quick find.
A drive from Rocky to Theodore today and then on to Mundubbera today.
Eidsvold looked all green on the map when I planned the trip, it will be more yellow when I am done
After a quck snack in town I headed out towards the trail, stopped here before hitting the dirt road
Thanks for the cache

On the way into Eidsvold for a couple of days R & R.
Started the Trail series at No 10 and worked my way back to town. Then out to the Springer Tree to work my way back to town again.
At long last an easy find, possibility because I love rock hides, makes the cache safe from fires.

We got quite a few FTFs around this area the last time we were here (last year). This time, while staying at Tolderodden, we drove out to find the more recent hides in the area. TFTC
Left Wuruma Dam early hoping to find all the caches in Eidsvold which I could have achieved except I
1) hadn't told Little Red Riding Hood (aka my GPSr ) about them and
2) I ventured too far down the Eidsvold -Theodore road.
No worries I found 29 in all. Signed all caches today as either Smittengranny or as SG.
Dimie's view was rather obscured today until I gave him a glimpse of the wonderful view of the outside world. After signing log , bidding Dimie goodbye, I replaced everything as I had found it. Thanks Rothy6 for bringing me to this spot.

Rode up to this one and pulled up next to a very smelly dead kangaroo. Unfortunately that ruined the experience for us here as we were keen to get away from it.
As we got off the bikes about 40 kangaroos took off from the grassy area below GZ. They were well camouflaged as we didn't even notice them until they took flight. What an awesome sight that was though. Pity their smelly little mate behind us wasn't taking off with them!
This was one of those rare caches that was in the first place we looked, whereas it could well have been in the last. As mentioned by a finder the log sheet was beyond help so we signed the replacement one in the accompanying eclipse tin.
Thanks.

We had a wonderful day in Eidsvold. Thanks for all the great spots you took us and placed the caches.
The logbook was too wet to sign it. No chance to dry or to replace it. We arranged another box with dry replacement paper inside a plastic bag and put this box Underneath the original very awesome cache. Please check wet logbook asap. Thanks.

Arrived into Eidsvold today, this seems like Rothy 6 territory. We had only just met this geocacher about a week ago at a Cito,
The caching today took us from the town to the bush, a great way to visit your town.
What an unexpected cache container we found here. Great views from GZ.
Worth a favourite point.

We decided to head off for a couple of days in the caravan and do some caching while heading to Eidsvold and Wuruma Dam. In Eidsvold we paid $10 and stayed at the RM Williams training centre. It proved to be a convenient and quiet base for us to do many of the caches. The trails around Eidsvold provided a good look around this nice town. We enjoyed finding this cache. Fav point alloc. Thanks to Rothy6 for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the location.
We headed up to look at the view.
Geopartner was checking out the view while I headed for the find.
I called out to geopartner to bring the camera as I had made the find.
Just as I undid the cap a gust of wind blew it off and I had a frantic moment looking for it and geopartner said after taking a photo that it had blown back into the hide.
Was I relieved? Signed the log and returned the cache to its hide.

Great views. My kids loved the cache. TFTC! Sadly this will have to be our last one for the day as my kids are a bit over it now and we really should get back to visiting my parents. We will be back maybe July holidays or otherwise next Christmas to find the rest. Thanks for maintaining all of your caches in this area
Great view. Very interesting container to say the least, and amazing it hasn't been muggled with all the obvious muggle traffic around. TFTC!
Good views, shame about all the rubbish at GZ. Needed a log extraction tool to sign log. TFTC
Day 6 of my 2015 caching adventure. Left Nanango at 4 am on the 7th September and then journeyed via Condamine, Injune, Roma, Mitchell, Augathella, Longreach, Barcaldine, Emerald, Rockhampton, Moura, Theodore and today down to Eidsvold and home to Nanango. Today I drove 487k's in 8hours finding 27 caches between Moura and Eidsvold. total journey took 6 days and 15 hours and a total cache finds of 185.
Eidsvold is the only town in the North and South Burnett with outstanding golden smilies for me. Next on the list and another quick find. I signed the log yof as that is what I use on small and micro logs to save space on the paper as I write big. The host is small but the log container and log are micro. TFTC Rothy6

**FTF** Stayed overnight in Eidsvold, and caught up with Rothy6, who came with us to watch as we hunted down her new caches. Some, like this one were FTF. It was our first visit here. Rothy6 said that in was only her second visit in all the years she has lived here. I said it was the kind of spot where I would have taken Mrs RoddyC in the car for some romance in our younger days. They both giggled. Found at 11.10 am on 29th August 2015/ TFTC Rothy6 - we enjoyed our day.
