After having to walk in from before the Creek crossing due to recent rain I was really hoping for the find, but unfortunately didn't come across it.was lovely to see the falls I'm full flow though.

17-Apr-19
Had a quick scope around the warning rock but after getting there barefoot and dropping my phone in the creek I was without hint or feeling in my soles. Recommend shoes for the creek crossing as CO suggests.
Beautiful spot. Kids loved it.

A great hunt; a couple of injuries sustained and then, finally, a find by Geomum!! TFTC. Such a nice spot to spend some time with rock scrambling fun to be had by the kids. A favourite point from us to celebrate our newly minted 5 yr old. Birthday cake by Cedar Creek Falls - perfect!

28-May-18
What a lovely spot! Smile There was a light mist falling this morning - very atmospheric. A small amount of water is flowing over the falls.
Made our way to GZ. The first thing we found was the tictac box with a totally disintegrated log with a couple of names on it. We had a read of logs below and saw this was a replacement in July 2017 put there by a thoughtful previous cacher. Then we found the 'real' cache. Great hide!! All is good here. Nothing wrong with this log paper. We removed the tictac box to avoid confusion. Seems that's what people are finding 'cos not many names on the 'real' log.
Thanks heaps for putting a cache at this beaut location The3aRingos.

28-May-18
Thank you 2Wagtails for letting us know that the real cache(camo bison tube) log is still dry and also for removing the fake cache(Tic Tac box) to avoid confusion.

Very beautiful spot.
Quickly had the GC in hand.
Log was wet and have photo for CO if required.

Great location but defiantly not a secret! there were loads of people, but GZ was quiet and I made a quick find. Lots of water coming over the falls. I continued to the top of the falls and a little bit further and found a deep swimming hole at the next small falls all to myself. So I jumped in and relaxed in paradise! It is defiantly worth the extra effort!!! hanks The3aRingos for the hide and very worthy of a FP

Took a bit of finding but we got it. Cache very wet.

Heading north for a week of sailing and relaxing in the Whitsundays for our 30th anniversary. Of course we had to cache along the way.

Umm, yes, well, a bit of mossie spray needed here.

Cheers

Sur la route de l’aéroport de Mackay on s’arrête pour profiter de cette fontaine naturelle.

DNF today.. no mobile reception and the glass was bouncing! I should have checked the hint before losing reception!

23-Sep-17
No water falls, but plenty of mosquitoes! Still a beautiful place without the running water. TFTC

23-Sep-17
One of the final locations on our week-long holiday in this part of N Qld. As the previous logs observe, not much happening in the falling water department, but one could get the idea and the area was not without scenic merit.
The cache find was straightforward and true to coordinates, description and hint. That's always good, thanks!
I visited here with team cacher zboywonder.
Cache in order and log signed. Cache safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC Big Grin greetings from NZ.
The Turtle strikes again!

No water over Falls but still a nice spot. Had to negotiate some picnickers with a couple of deep barking but tethered dogs, nice people but. Now I scrambled around and found something to log a find.

20-Aug-17
The cache was not the problem here, rather the mosquitos! Hard earned cache Big Grin

Tftc found in good order by scampering over rocks. While slapping mosquitoes!!!! Log/paper dry.

10-Aug-17
Lots of people around checking out the area so I had to bide my time a bit before I could make the grab. Easy find. Thanks for the cache maintenance to make this a great cache.

09-Aug-17
The cache has been replaced. There is a fallen tree(from Cyclone Debbie) near the large rock with the warning sign however there is still room to walk behind the rock to search for the cache out of view of the swimmers. Happy hunting.

After climbing up and enjoy a relaxing moment whit my muggles friends I started to look for this one, GPS was jumping around so after collected some rubbish hidden in the rocks I readed the hint but I couldn't found the cache on the obvious spot. I started so to read the comments and finally I understood why I was unlucky! The last found is from a new player whit just one found ( myretrocaravan) and the smart guy move the cache! I started to look around but is not so easy to found a micro whit all this possible hiding places. Mosquitoes was having a good dinner of me and already suspect to have contracted a virus from them so I decided sadly to gave up! Coming back to the car I spotted more rubbish under the bin.. How people can be so idiot?!? Toke a stick and pushed out the rubbish from there I found a Tictac box. Was that a sing? I don't know but I decided to replace the cache! Just a piece of newspaper inside so need a new logbook! Hope for the oner will be fine and hope someone will found also the original one!

Came down here late afternoon to avoid muggles but there was still some here. Once we took some photos and enjoyed the beautiful waterfall, Geohubby went in for a look. The muggles had moved on by now. It took abit of scouting around but eventually came up with the goods. Tftc

Great site! We enjoyed the swim, but unfortunately couldn't find the cache.

In port today aboard the Radiance of the Seas. We had tendered in to the terminal in Airlie Beach and joined a tour that brought us here. We enjoyed viewing the falls and, of course, were anxious to find the cache here. We were a group of four but the access limited the search party to just me. At first I followed the GPS around with it constantly changing it's mind. Then I read the description and hint and was able to focus my search. But even though I was sure I was searching in the right area, I just couldn't make the find - then it was time for out tour group to move on. No Smiley here. Sad

A day trip to Airlie beach for a few caches today.
Best spot today! went for a swim to cool down before looking for the cache. The falls were flowing!
Good hint helped as my GPS was out.

Thanks for hiding as this waterfall

Shame. But it was indeed a very nice spot especialy after the rain from the night before.

Beautiful area to visit. High muggle area today and there was the usual contingent of idiots who have to ignore the warnings about climbing the falls and jumping off into the water below. TFTC

A quick find with Geovegies, trek4ward and the Eskies. It's great to be back here with more water and the time to go exploring beyond the falls! TFTC ^.^

Water is flowing beautifully at present.

25-Jun-16
Fourth cache of the day with Eskies5 and co, C Yeo Later and trek4ward. After snooping around a bit, Eskies5 spotted this one, with a nice new log sheet. We then soaked up the sunshine and the amazing view and sound of the gushing falls, while the kids splashed around trying not to get their clothes wet. It was great to see lots of water there today. TFTC

25-Jun-16
The Esky family have traveled north from Toowoomba for the holidays to visit friends (and fellow cachers) at Cannonvale. The Geovegies family were giving us a quick tour of the area but this stop turned out to be a longer stop. Potentially a tricky little cache hide (nit sure how it got muggled) but thankfully I got lucky and spotted it. We climbed to the top of the falls where the kids paddled in the pools above...and of course the inevitable happened...two of the Esky Boys inadvertently went for a swim. We then continued on exploring further up the creek. A fav point from us for a great spot, cache hide and fun memories. TFTC The3aRingos.

The cache has been replaced and the falls are looking amazing at the moment after all the rain on the weekend. It's a great time to visit although the water was a bit too cold to swim this morning.

28-May-16
This cache is missing at the moment but will soon be replaced.

18-May-16
Been out there twice now and still cant manage to find it! Anyone offer any hints or clues? Anyone been out there recently and found it?

30-Apr-16
I can't believe I'm logging a didn't find. So embarrassing. Originally I went in with an online map which put the log from the beginning of the walking track to the top of the falls so I had a lovely time checking out the whole area. I had a couple of really good falls on my hip sliding down mossy rocks only to find there was a hint and then couldn't see the picture...not that that helped apparently. Bison tubes are my nemesis caches. Can never find them. Give me a good nano any day.

27-Mar-16
I had a go at this one a week earlier with no luck. I had been looking for a tub style container. Was out again last night and telling a friend about it. We were using torches as it was late and I had just said I thought it would have been in amongst the roots when the torch light glinted off something metal. Cache found and logged.

After a quick flight up from Brisbane, dabom81 and myself were keen to see the sights and explore a part of the country that neither of us had been to before. I looked at the map and saw the word "falls". Woohoo! Let's go Smile

We arrived at the car park and wandered off to see what we could see. WOW!!! What a beautiful location. We spent some time taking photos and refreshing ourselves from the heat in the cool waters. Rightio, time to find a cache.

We crossed over a few small streams and were soon at GZ. So were an army of winged, blood sucking creatures Surprised As quickly as we could manage we found the beasty, signed the log and replaced as found. Now run!!!!!

Thanks for the cache and for bringing us to a such a lovely spot The3aRingos Big Grin

Good hide. Plenty of mosies. 3rd of our 29th February finds.

Geocaching can take you to places you wouldn't usually visit, some are unremarkable and some are amazing. This place is amazing! As I was driving up I did not expect to see so many other people here, we did not come equipped for swimming so a toe dip was all we did. Next time we shall come prepared! The cache took me unusually long to find as I overlooked the hiding place in my first lap, only when I changed my thinking to "where would I hide it" did the hiding place become apparent. Thanks for showing us this place, favourite point Smile

23-Jan-16
Found quite easily thanks to the hint. Had no phone service, so winged it.
Pretty easy to stealth it with muggles around too.

08-Jan-16
Found easy thanks to the HINT i was given. It was out in the open so i put it back in a safe spot. TFTC

03-Jan-16
Now is a great time to visit the falls which are flowing again after the recent rain.

01-Jan-16
I'm sure every person in Airlie Beach is here today. I had a quick look as i was getting a few strange looks from adult muggles nearby. I had my dog with me and he went missing at one point and i was in a bit of a panic, but i found him in a shallow bit of water just watching me. It looked funny

31-Dec-15
Yay Happy new years eve all! Very busy little place here today! Waterfall is slow but running beautifully. Tftc party on

17-Dec-15
a quick little revisit to the falls
must admit that I haven't been out here for years
had the place to myself
no surprise really, as it's pretty dry at the moment
startled a large goanna on approach to the pool
he startled me too
wandered over to GZ
and made an easy find
as the cache was exposed, sitting out by itself
signed log and restashed where I suspected it came from
thanks far the cache
logging some TB's through too

Nice easy find shame the falls weren't flowing though. Would be amazing to see. Beautiful spot and plenty of wildlife Very Happy

Well at least there was a cache to find Smile

I've edited the hint and added a photograph to make sure that no one gets a DNF on this one.

Found on the return leg of our trip from Townsville to the Gold Coast, while we are staying in Airlie.

We searched around for 20mins and were about to give up because we were being eaten by bugs until geez, shoulda looked there!
