Spent the day caching in Hawke’s Bay on my way to Whanganui for some work. Parked my bike beside the road after the one way bridge and set off for some lonely caches along this trail. 3 Finds and 3 DNF. They seemed to get harder as you went along. Loved the ingenuity of this one. Thanks
We left around 5.30am this morning to try and finish the hidden creatures over here, the weather couldn't be more in our favor with no cloud in the sky. thanks to everyone who took the time to place and maintain these caches

we got to see much of the bay and many great hides before heading for home around 4.30pm - favorite point from usMum, Dad, 13YO and 6YO took the opportunity of the day off to search for some caches on Waitangi Day (the kids were bribed with the promise of treats after the hunt!!!). Mum chose the series of caches starting with Nobody's Home.
It was a bit of a mission to get to the start of the series, but we got there after trekking singe file along the side of the road and scaling a barbed wire fence.
Once through those hurdles, Mum was concerned about the amount of bovine pooh on the ground - and half expected a bull to appear from behind a tree!
Dad and 13YO took one route and Mum and 6YO another. Dad spotted the hide quickly - 6YO thought it was fantastic!

I took my bike for a ride down the river, and made some finds, not all quick, down this way. A fun hide too on this one. Cheers.
And now we travel from Taupo to New Years Eve celebrations in Napier. There have been a few new caches since we were last through this way.

Hadn't been caching in awhile so decided to head out and tackle this trail. Climbed the fence and headed down the hill and along the tree line. We were about 150m away when I heard a cow moo. I saw a cow about 500m away so thought it was safe to carry on. Headed towards the tree line to grab the cache and after two steps I was face to face with a huge black cow!!! Now I am terrified of cows so I ran off yelling 'abort mission' and headed back to the car. As I got to the top of the hill I turned around and suddenly there was about 50 cows right where I was standing!!! Left the cache for another day when the cows aren't around!

What a beautiful start to a cool series! Perfect walk for a puppy who can't yet meet lots of other dogs. And a fav point from us!

Walked straight past it at first then turned around and spotted it. Nice cache to mark your 50th hide. Tftc
Joint first to find with the Loves. Climbed high to spot this a great cache and a lot of fun had bringing out our inner kid. Thanks Nick!
