Logs
Felt stupid for a min but after reading how easy it was we found it fantastic packaging
Found it pretty hard I thought it was in the bushes but not Ill give everyone a clue go to the left side of the Strathmore scout building and look for tiny holes
Needing a walk coupled with a desire to tick off a couple of requirements for a challenge cache I'm working towards saw me travel back up north to collect a handful of caches near Reservoir and then take a walk down to Preston. All caches were found in relatively good order. One could do with a bit of maintenance. Overall an enjoyable walk complemented by finding a number of caches along the way.My logs will include this standard blurb and then a comment or two about each cache separated from this blurb by a dividing line. ---Took me a moment or two to find the right hole. As a previous finder had said, I poked it with a tick until I heard the sound of a cache.
Found we were looking around all different rocks but the we went to the ally way and found straight away
Very cool ! I was walking around clueless but then I checked all the holes in the rocks I could not find it but then I checked some of the holes in the side of the building and used a stick and it found it no creepy crawlers
I found this cache today on my Mega Geocaching Walk #12 - a 35,500 step walk from Glenroy Station, through Strathmore Heights, Oak Park, Pascoe Vale and on to Coburg Station. I saw that this one was a bit of a climb up the hill from the creek trail but I came up nonetheless. Leave no unfound cache behind and all that. Once at GZ, I looked for a while, then found a stick and started to poke at other likely spots when I heard the sound of a cache. I looked at the time as I was searching for the cache and it was indeed five to one. Thanks from D B-A
Fairly quick find for the end of the year. Stick was helpful to clear the spider Web away and pull the container out, not keen to use fingers in case the 8 legged guard was not friendly. Thanks for the hide. Happy New Year.
The location is a bit off but found it in the end with a little crawl down tftc
Well the wheel of challenges for this month has been spun by HQ and it has come up with Streak Month.
This means that I have a lot of detours and kilometers to do on the way home from work as I have found a lot of the caches in my area.
Melbourne has turned on another beautiful afternoon today so this cache is one of my detours that I’m taking on the way home.
I have had a go at this one before when I was at Essendon Fields getting my Geowagon serviced but I came on my bike.
Today I came by car and was very determined to have a better look.
The GPS was still playing up but I widened the search and after looking in a lot of spots I soon spotted this sneaky cache.
I then added my name to the log and now back to the Geowagon.
Thanks Mr squid2.0 TFTC.

Thanks to a previous post for the hint - ‘rocky’ adventure indeed..took a moment to psych myself up for the retrieval from the spiderweb encased nook..but I lived to log another find.. all intact and in good condition.

After coming back to this one after a few months and some hints from other users, I finally found it! This one was hard, the hiding place was pretty easy, but there where so many more easy hiding places to look that I never found this one! Very nice area, thanks for the cache!
Absolutely could not find it! I searched for over an hour! Where the hell is it!?!? Please somebody message me and tell me!

Day trip to Melbourne for an airport pickup, so decided to nab a few new shires. Including here. A bit of a side trip, but still some time before the flight was due.
Thanks Mr squid2.0 for entertaining me at this location.

Had to clear a few cobwebs too, and the cache is safe and dry waiting for the seeker.
That was hard we almost gave up. Very clever hide. An easier hint would have helped but we are happy we found it.
Quite hard. Took me a while but eventually got it. I recommend bringing a stick to pick around in harder places. Left some items for the next person.
TFTC!. it was such a nice day to go for a bike. been meaning to find this cache for a while now but haven't gotten around to it. it took a while to find it. longer than I intended. it was a great and clever hide. the log book is full. clever hide. TFTC.
First time geocacher, came up empty. Searched with my son but nothing. Oh well, we had fun at least!! On to the next one.
Out with xambo4u, we had a lovely day caching doing multi and trads.
Searched a quite a few spots before finding the clever hide.
Thanks Mr squid2.0

No one around as it's raining with plenty of wind chill. Able to look for a nook. All good & dry. TFTC
TFTC! Took us a little longer than we liked! But a signed log we now have! Keep looking it’s there!
No luck today. Funny little spot. I felt like I was tresspassing. The dog next door starting barking at me so I left.
I'm currently working on a streak, as all the new geocaches that sprung up after the end of lockdown meant I had some close to home again. I found a new one nearby, and then decided to swing past this one as well. I had to be careful to keep out of site from a Cub Scout, who was waiting around with his Dad until an older sibling finished in the hall. Luckily this one allows for a bit of privacy, and was found relatively quickly. Thanks Mr squid2.0
Started my search and before you know it this quiet little park had 15+ people turn up. Will have to restart another day.
Found it on a nice Sunday
Looked for this a few years ago never found it
Today was the day.

After attempting this once before I looked everywhere or so I thought! In the end a hint from a recent finder helped me along the way. Thank you... turns out it was about 50cm further beyond where I had looked previously and no where near as hard as I had made it! Thanks for the hide
We found ourselves in Strathmore and I wanted to find one more cache for the day although it was drizzling verging on rain. That made reception pretty dicey and we were going backwards and forwards around likely hiding spots. We chose this cache mainly because it hadn’t been found for a couple of months and therefore unlikely to be contagious and safe for us and it was close to where we had been. By the time we’d searched for about ten minutes I was getting wet and cold, but desperate so we resorted to a PAF. Eventually the cache was found in an amazing. It was a neat and tidy.
Caching in the area we picked up a few caches and this was one of them.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Mucked around a bit too far away. Turns out I was standing near it for quite some time
Clever hiding spot! Accidentally found it while thinking I was on the right track. TFTC!
Such a cute and quiet little park. No muggles on this beautiful day surprisingly enough. Spent my time looking at one host object too much... look alllll around! SL TFTC
Out last night with Bunadoorian - looking for a cache to keep up his daily streak and I found this one. Great hiding space. A great park for little ones near by - luckily for us the muggle and children using the park had their backs to us. TFTC.
Grub62 and I were out and about trying to keep my streak going. This cache seemed to be slightly away from GZ but to be fair my GPS was a bit wayward. A well hidden cache. TFTC.
Accurate coordinates and an obvious hide location led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Mr squid2.0 for the cache.
Have flown down to Melbourne from Sydney for a 2 week training course at the Melbourne Tullamarine Airport Air Traffic Control Centre, but my main interest will be in collecting as many Victorian (VK3 in HAM radio terms) caches as possible during my free time away from the workplace. My primary caching target areas will be the Woodlands Historic Park (with it’s 100 plus caches), the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail, the Outer Circle Railway Trail, the Donaldson’s Creek Trail, the Ruffey Creek Trail, Eltham (Diamond Valley Railway), and the suburbs surrounding my Essendon apartment. This was the 1st of 10 finds for the day, and the 41st of 242 finds for the trip.
After finishing the day's training I headed back to the Essendon apartment to get changed, then headed out to grab some more caches along the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail, heading northward up the creek towards the Albion Viaduct (railway bridge).
Stopped off at the scout hall, on my way down to the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail, for this one. Took a little longer than expected but eventually uncovered the hide and had CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC Mr squid2.0.

After sticking my hands in a lot of scary places without luck, I eventually broadened my search for a find. Cheers!
Creepy little place. But a nice little park and scout hall managed to retrieve without a spider bite ..it was thrilling

Finding this cache took us longer than it should as there were so many spots to look at. Cache sure was well hidden. Fortunately there were no muggles about!

Quick find. Had an idea where it might be just as a guess and sure enough...
In search of some relief from the hot day I happened across this hide. Hooray!
After searching around for a bit in the wrong spot, tamarakwhite happened across the cache while looking through the cache page. All in good condition. TFTC
This is a clever spot to hide a cache. It did not take me too long to locate it, fortunately.
Backtracked to find this one. Searched all around, bumped my head and then read the logs. Expanded the area and spotted a couple of likely places. No, they were not righ . One more likely place and yes my name is now in the log book.

Moonee Ponds Creek and the surrounding area, has undergone a total transformation over the years! Today as we pedaled around 18 kms along the trails collecting smiley tokens, P-P relived his childhood adventures among the tall gum trees, rocks, ferocious thistles and scented aniseed, his connection was to 2nd rather than 1st or 5th Strathmore.
**Feedback to CO** Some TLC here could be a plan - we took the sticky lollies out, left a fresh bag, but the container itself is very sticky, it will be a haven for the ants.
Thanks to 'Mr squid2.0' for placing this cache on the geo-gameboard.
