Cache washed away with the last heavy rain .have replaced, the river has changed course and is getting very close
We thought we had this one sort when we stopped for the traditional across the road from the start coords. We drove down the road as far as we could and then started walking but came to some thick brush and thought 'is this right?' We decided to call off the search still 115m from GZ as we had plenty others to do before needing to get to Timaru. Now we are home I think we probably took the wrong approach.
I managed to sign my moniker on the log book at last, probably the hardest log book to sign ever. cheers BCD.
Got the required numbers for this one last weekend so while back in Geraldine it was a must find with the CO on a maintenance run. Lovely area to explore and look forward to coming back in Summer. TFTC
Put on the wet weather gear for this second attempt and found a nice track into GZ without having to tackle the bramble. Great challenge. TFTC
Thanks to BE and W for the elephant tracks although the wet grass still soaked us to the knees. The river looked like it would be very inviting on a hot day. Once we had worked our way through the bush it was an easy find. TFTC
Have had this one to search for, for quite some time and we did venture forth with some trepidation!!! Thank goodness for Eddies (Bald Ed) visit before us. The route in was difficult but clearly marked. Brambles and Bush Lawyer were damaged on the way in and ouch!! --out. There was water in the container which we emptied and dried as best we could. Thanks for an unusual final.
Got all the numbers as I was passing through Geraldine heading for my caching base for the next three nights. Once all the setting up had been done it was time to head out on today's cache raid. The final for this multicache was the closest to base.
After getting to 20m from GZ and not seeing anything but blackberry I turned around and retraced my steps seeking an easier route. But I was then confronted by a giant steep sided (almost vertical) ditch.[xx(] Sooooo, it was back to Plan A. The rampant spring growth successfully hid both of the CO's helpful(?) hint items so I decided to slash my own path all the way to GZ wielding my hiker's pole as a machete.
Once at GZ I was a little preturbed by all the recent flood water and mud that had flowed right through GZ but was pleasantly surprised to find that the cache container had not been washed away.
After signing the log I then opted to try another way out and in doing so stumbled over the CO's 4x2 piece of wood. Turning around, I then noticed, almost hidden, the length of bailing twine hanging from a tree. To make that a little more obvious for other cachers I then set forth and cleared away a lot of recent growth.
The cache is now probably just a T2 or T2.5.
Thanks for the caching adventure BCD

Day #3 of our Labour Weekend trip to Geraldine and time to head back to Christchurch, but first we had a few more caches to find in and around the town. Thanks to all the COs for these cache placements and for making our stay so enjoyable.
There was a bit of delay between gathering the info and finding the cache as we found a few other caches on the way. We took the optimal path to GZ after a pointer from the CO (thanks!) so had minimal bush bashing to do. Cache was a quick find, thank goodness it was a decent size. TFTC.

#13316. We had no trouble working out the coords, though when we looked at them on the GPSr map we were a bit dubious. We bumped into the CO while gathering info for the Orari multi, and he confirmed our coords were in the right type of location. The foliage wasn't too bad getting to GZ, and I was pleased to quickly spot the cache (a length search in that sort of area wouldn't have been much fun). TFTC.
Found on a geo adventure with team_macdonald and Chiko1 definitely a good out of town cache and a bit of Bush wacking on the process tftc
Well what an adventure that was had done the first part awhile ago were In Geraldine today cleaning up the rest had to get this. Drove part way down river bank then rest on foot took the easy way in but thought we were In wrong spot so went bush wacking then realised were in the right spot finally made the find. Found with Rayzr2 and chiko1. Thanks for the cache BCD
A bit of a wander up the river bank. The first attempt at getting to GZ was aborted quite quickly. Way too much blackberry. Headed back toward the road a few netres and the was a better entry. Followed this and after a bit of a hunt got the smiley. Whew, glad that worked out. Cheers.
Heading to Mt Cook for the weekend, and found a few caches on the way. This was one of them!
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Found after lots of searching and scratches with jordanhay0112. Awesome thanks. FTF2016 and TFTC
TFTC we were the FTF in 2016. Wandered round in the rain for a while before heyhaynz said 'looks like a good spot for it' So I went over there and said it's here, it's here. Heyhaynz was just like your kidding, And I said na . Woo-hoo thanks for the cache it's our first ever multi.
With heyhaynz.
With heyhaynz.
visited cache again today and marked entrance to now well worn track through the trees with some bail twine hanging from tree plus a piece of 4by2 point in to Gz there is always an easy way in
No problem getting some numbers but getting to GZ was a different challenge. Approached from river side and got to within 10-15 m of GZ as could not get through the vicious blackberries guarding the cache on the south, a lot more than expected for a D/T 2/2. Had a scout around but found no sign of the track as noted by the CO, unless one approaches from the N or paddock side.????. Will sadly give this one a miss.
We found the plaque (or we assumed it was the correct one) and sat in the car and worked it out. So off we went, at this point I will let you know that there was a reason I left the army, and this is it. I did not go with machete or weed whacker and the brambles are well over 3 mtrs tall which means at the bottom of the stem, where we are, are large and sharp. We could see the trees but as we were not in the forrect protective gear or had the necessary tools to get to GZ we turned around. Could do with either a fresh placement or the terrain and difficulty ratings being put up. Unfortunately in its current state I wont be back.
found the plaque with no problems and worked out the info. got to the area where the cache would be but there was so much blackberry to try and get through.....next time i will have to bring a machete or weed whacker to try and make a path to the GZ

We had a few doubts with this cache. The only plaque we could find was 20 metres from the published coordinates, but it fitted with the questions. Then our calculated coordinates were considerably less than the quoted 6 km away. However we decided to head that way and have a look. We followed a fairly rough road towards our coordinates, but as it was raining heavily, combined with the aforementioned doubts, we didn't pursue the cache further today.
FTF Thanks for the fun! No thanks for the blackberries! Hehe enjoyed the adventure! Took TB
Found the plaque, didnt have time to look for the second location. [:-)]
Answered the questions, located the possie on the map, but methinks this is a summer stopping point so we'll wait for warmer times. So far so good.
Today we tried to make this FTF .
Near the starting coordinates we found the blackboard .
At the final but we found except blackberries and even more blackberries , nothing !!!
angry we moved without FTF again next !!!
I do not know how one gets the idea , in this Blackberries to hide a box .
Greetings from Switzerland

We found all the informations near the school. At GZ we tried to find a box. All what we found was the hint and a lot of boysenberries. No idea were the box is.
