Dropped by here yesterday for a good long hunt in the scrub with campari59. My luck with caches on the range.
No luck here. Co-ordinates wouldn't settle and was difficult to find a suitable hidey hole.
spiderwebbs4 I didn’t find your cache Shelob ️ on 25/7/2022, 3:47 pm. Searched around in the likely places but nothing found.
Couldn't find this one. The rain and fading light didn't help. Take bug spray...lots if mozzies about. We will be back...
Relogging found caches under the name Bonkersandshush to my other accountGAZKERSH.Thanks.Very cool cache found it by placing my hand on it while searching lol Thanks for the fright and the cache

Visited to replace log, but couldn't get the cache open on site, maybe rusted shut, so replaced with another bison with fresh dry log. Shelob was hiding when I found her but left on trunk as she likes to keep a lookout. (Looks like someone's had a taste of her though...) ️️️
Hahaha despite knowing what I was likely to find I still jumped a foot when Shelob jumped out when I tugged on the container. Log is saturated so I added a small sheet for new signatures, but it is not waterproof so may need replacing soon. Thanks for the cache and the surprise.
Tftc spiderwebbs4, that was quite a tricky one
Log is saturated and couldn't sign. See pic

Hi there spiderwebbs4.
This is the 5th of 6 caches we didn't find today. [:(!]
We spent quite some time here but couldn't locate your cache, so here's a DNF from us.

After a previous DNF here I was in 2 minds as to whether to try again when passing through the area. I was ahead of schedule, so thought why not. I went through the same search pattern but this time came up trumps after about 10mins of searching!

We are heading to Hervey Bay for a couple of days, and decided to take a few back roads as we headed north. We stopped and parked the car at the nearby play park, and came for a short but steep walk down to GZ. Initially we found ourselves searching in the wrong area and were almost going to leave, when Mr Domsky’s beady eyes made the find.
Log signed and container replaced as found.

Out with grannysmith1947 and Brislions, finding a few caches. This cache was located after a bit of a search and our names added to the log. TFTC
I was up on the Sunshine Coast chasing Adventure Lab at Mapleton with Selva Girls and can’t forget Miss Millie geology. We had lots of fun get as many caches around Mapleton. Today total was 1 Adventure Lab with 5 waypoints, 2 Wherigo, multi, 2 mystery, 15 traditional.
All good with this cache.

After a lovely scenic Sunday afternoon caching drive, we were headed for home when WallabyTim asked if there were any others MrsWallaby wanted to stop at. Looking at the map this green dot appeared but with fading light and a D2 T3 combo we weren't optimistic. Zelda the Woofy Wanderer was carried across the park to avoid getting sticky grass in her newly washed hairdo before nimbly heading towards GZ sniffing for the cache. Up here, over there, crunch, slip, cobweb, almost giving up hope when WT said the magic words FOUND IT. TFTC
Spent ages looking but had to leave. Did find a massive spider but it moved so I'm guessing that aint it. Dense piece of bush with poor reception, maybe an extra hint to narrow down GZ would be helpful. We shall return
Bless me CacheGod, for I have sinned. It has been six weeks since my last confession- I mean log. Although technically we are allowed to hunt geo from today, I may have gone a little ways past the reef. In my defence, I had not planned to partake in this activity at all and was seduced by the request of my husband. Yes, I am saying it is all his fault. I only wanted to give poor lonely Shelob some company. Thank you for my penance of 50 Hail Signals.
But seriously, we took a drive today up to Montville and I bought a Mother’s Day present seeing as how some non essential shops have reopened. We cannot stand shopping centres at the best of times. On calculating the distance it was exactly 50km from home! So good to get out of the house - and on a really beautiful sunny day. The hubs asked if we were allowed to cache again yet so we made a stop and it didn’t take us too long to find the spidey at home. Also, we scored some avocados on the way out from the tree in the park. Bonus!! We do like a SW’s hide ️

Stopped by to check on little Shelob after the nearby leap year event. All safe & still in place....happy to see us as she was getting a bit lonely out there. ️️️
Definitely found Shelob! Little unnerving but still could not see the cache anywhere after a while of looking.
Made a special trip up the range to check on Shelob due to the recent high profile DNFs & noticing that the cache had been given a clue for the Mystery at the Museum challenge. She was still there safe & sound right where I last saw her. Getting a bit lonely now.
Up the coast with Brother Colin and IolantheK for a day caching [^]
IolantheK and I looked for over half and hour, she even used recent log photos but alas no spidy

Brother Colin is in Brisbane for a few days, and today he, T-Tech and I are heading up to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland to chase down a few choice caches. It'll be a very leisurely outing as he's hobbling along on crutches with a foot in a moonboot!
I was really disappointed here [:(!] Being a fan of the LOTR books was what drew me to the cache, and T-Tech and I wandered down and in, then began our search. I lasted longer than he did, and even made use of the CO's recent photos, but after almost an hour, I came away empty-handed

Stopped at the small park and the regular rain showers that having been coming through all morning were having a break, soon we were heading down looking for the hairy guardian, didn't take too long had him in hand.. Heading back to the car we were wishing we it was a week earlier when the weather was so dry, but today the rich red soil was now sticking to our shoes in large amounts and making an interesting mix with the car carpets. Thanks spiderwebbs4
Took some time to spot Shelob. Phone had us up and down but eventually the little critter was spied and out came the geocache from its lair.
1Minniemoo and I decided to spend the day up here in the clouds, at one stage they were thunderclouds!
We wandered around in here for a while, gps swinging from one place to another.
Eventually eagle eyes (AKA 1MM) spotted the little bugger!

As we parked the car, we noticed the park here seemed quite neglected with weeds growing up everywhere. We also noticed noticed the magpie at a nearby tree and hoped it wasn't going to want to give us any grief here today, with swooping season upon us.
No need for concern, Maggie wasn't interested in us at all, so we continued on our way.... only to have the neighbourhood dogs start to bark at us next.
Soon tho, we were in the shelter of the lair, and the dogs gave up quickly. Perhaps they were scared of Shelob as well?
Well this was quite the tricky little critter. I saw a particular spot I thought seemed like a good place but found nothing, and the gps was a bit bouncy in here. I only managed to scare some of the resident birds away accidentally here instead.
So we headed further and still found nothing. Back to where I was previously and I spied something instantly! Just had to be on the right angle for this one that's for sure.
Thanks for the cache spiderwebbs4.

Passing close by today and so dropped in to check on the reappearance of the old cache. Flaxton was totally in the clouds after the storm in the middle of the day.
The old hide is definitely no more. The tree has snapped at the hollow that was the home of the cache and more recently, possum family. I was surprised, however, to find the old cache still clinging to the tree as if nothing had happened.
I removed the old cache container and confirmed that the new one is indeed still in place but with no logs as yet.
Very slippery in this little forest after recent rain so be careful!

Found the cache in the photo on the ground at GZ the tether was attached to the cache but the other looked as though it had been cut. We attached tether to a stick and placed cache in a dark place. Log was a well used log which was damp we dried it and were able to sign.
Cache missing but no sign of the possum today. Also the "elk" hint is now defunct as the elkhorn on the tree has died.
Replaced the container - similar type as before. Look out for Shelob whom you are likely to spot first and will lead you to the cache.
New location so as not to disturb the possum, not much further though.

Found the possum and decided not to continue with the hunt as from the logs it appears that the cache is in the immediate vicinity. Left the poor possum to catch some more zzzz's.
Discouraged from looking more closely by a sleepy Mrs Poss and bub. No smiley is worth disturbing the wildlife for. Like the avo tree in the park

Found it lying on the ground with fishing line detached I put it in a fork of a tree needs maintenance
I didnt’t find this one.
My best guess is Shelob was either eaten or chased out of her lair by the little fella in the picture.
I didn’t want to disturb it anymore than I had already done, because I don’t like that either when I’m sleeping in on a saturday morning

Found while having some fun and a adventure after dark, Almost gave up on this one just about to leave when my torch flashed on someting and Bingo cache in hand. Looks like a nice little park l will have to return during daylight and have a good look around

1969, Simon and Garfunkel record what would become their signature tune, 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' with future member of Bread, Larry Knechtel on piano. Art wanted Paul to sing the song, but Paul insisted that Art's voice was better suited for it. It was a decision that Paul would later say he regretted. The song won five awards at the 13th Annual Grammy Awards in 1971, including Grammy Award for Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

I was about to put my hand into a dark hole in a tree when I saw that a possum was sleepily watching me from inside the hole! Very cute. I saw the cache nearby and left the possum to their dreams.

Shelob was dangling from her web. Tried to send her home to her lair but was prevented by a possum who had set up home there.
I had a chance to get out and enjoy the beautiful winter weather so I decided to pick up some caches close to home. Unfortunately I couldn't find Shelob but found the cache.
Thanks for bringing me to this area, we'll have to come back in a month or so and pick some avocados!

I had a frustrating time here a couple of weeks ago when my phone wouldn't settle down. Returned today with my GPSr and had a much better time, particularly after I spotted a telltale. TFTC.
While attending the Dunethin Rock Event, Mr Just a Trifle went out for a morning of hiking with a few other like minded caching teams. Unfortunately, the weather didn't want to co-operate so after completing Baxter Falls, the group found some local caches on the way back to the camp site. This was cache was found easily enough easily enough and with the log book signed by everyone, we continued on our way.
Thank you spiderwebbs4 for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy.

After completing a through walk to Baxter Falls and a bit of too-ing and fro-ing with the cars, a change for the worse in the weather saw our group scrap our plans for some more walking further afield and concentrate on finding some more local caches instead. Just A Trifle was in the zone today and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC
After completing Baxter Falls and waiting an eternity for a coffee in Flaxton, we decided it was time for some more caches. This one fitted our desire for more challenging caches, and so we headed in. Not quite the Ciroth Ungol i had imagined, but a perfect place for a cache just the same. Thanks for the cache.
#4145 [10:45] fast find during our morning trip. thanks to rain we went here and not to some more remote hiking cache thanks for the cache and regards

Out and about this afternoon working very hard at my procrastination skills, I was following the road in search of some smiley faces to add to my map. This one in a round about way was the next one on the list.
I had no idea that this park was here and I think thats how the neighbours around it want to stay like. As I pulled up on the side of the road, i was very keenly being observed by a neighbour nearby who was watching me closely as I headed off in the direction of the cache.
Hunting for this cache was fun with all the old large beautiful trees in the area. After my phone's gps eventually caught up I quickly found the cache guarding the tree!!
All is good here with the cache. Thanks spiderwebbs4

Holy cow that was scary for someone with the phobia I have! Had to get my geopartner gordodoc to open the cache, I couldn't even look at it.
Really enjoyed your clues and LOTR referenced...great fun. We hung around in the park and had a picnic lunch for Mother's Day and played on the swings before heading to Flaxton Gardens for dessert and coffee.
All up an enjoyable day on the range. Thanks so much for the cache

Out and about with Konie this morning to grab a couple of caches and this one was on our hit list.
We parked only a short down hill stroll to GZ. Once there Konie made a very quick find.
Once we signed the log everything was replaced exactly as we found it.

I met up with Mr Wesso this morning to grab a couple of caches and this was the second for the morning.
After parking nearby we wandered down into the park and admired the area before heading off to GZ. Once there the cache was soon in hand and after chatting to the guardian we retrieved the log.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Carful for the real ones too !! gps took us on a bit of a wonder but we found it in the end
9:52:00 AM. We were out and about again today to check some of our caches and clean up a few of the ones that have sprung up since we left 20 months ago. Nice and quiet around here today on a cool damp day. Made the find ona scarey cache. Log signed. Thanks spiderwebbs4 for placing this cache.
Arrival at GZ was just a matter of following the GPS. Searching for cache and got a bit of a fright when i first saw the friendly guardian. Then it was just a simple matter of signing the log and returning him to his home.
Out this morning to get a cache for today, I was happy this cache is undercover as my shirt was damp just racing from the Geomobile to the cover , a search first revealed nothing So the hint was read and then I spied the little - big critter .

**FTF** @ 3:06pm! Noticed new caches come in and no FTF. A mad scramble to jump in the car. Headed up to 'I've got a hunch' first and got lucky there, so decided to try our luck at this one. Great cache construction, we are mad LOTR fans so this one was quite special to find. Oldest geokid had 'sting' on hand just in case Sherlob was feeling feisty. TFTC Spiderwebbs
