A little bit of a detour off my planned path, but Im pleased I made it. Beautiful river crossing and rocky gorge upstream of the campsite.
Found this one after a nice stop for lunch at the picnic spot nearby. On our way back to the car now
Spending a few days in Geelong I decided that today I would target the Fun For Kids Trail especially as I need some more Regular size caches to complete a challenge. It was a beautiful day after a somewhat chilly start and the road was clear of traffic except for about four deadly treadlies riding past. Then a bit later on a few cars sped through. It appeared that these may have been on a rally. A successful day finding a variety of caches in a variety of hides.
A fun final cache for us in this series. We left the best to last, thoroughly enjoy the drive to this cache. What breathtaking scenery and what a breathtaking view that house must have. Thank you for a great fun series. Favourite point from us.
Out hunting the Fun for Kids series today with Team_Roberts1. We stopped and had lunch at the picnic ground on the way to this cache and had a chat with some muggles explaining geocaching - hopefully a new convert! Anyway, after eating headed off again for this one, quick find again. Thanks to deshut for this one
Out for the day with ConnieandRick, decided to finish of the Kids series as well as a few in this area we hadnt done. As usual a fun day. Took the Geopups with us which was nice as mine hasnt traveled with me for some time. She seemed to enjoy it, as did we. A great way to lead into Xmas as I love driving around this area and nice to give theCruiser a run. Actually stopped in the creek crossing as there were no cars and seemed the best spot before I floored it to get up the other side. Thanks deshut for bringing me here and contributing to this great game for others to enjoy. Happy trails, Deanside
Having a wonderful day out with deanside, laughing and enjoying the lovely weather away from the Xmas crowds. We'd started this series from the other end around 3 weeks ago and this time tackled it from the south. All found although one was very elusive. I think we might have signed a few in the kids log, then realised our mistakes. Thanks for a great series.
Another trip out to the ranges to grab a few more in this neat series, with all but one found on today's run. A good winters day to be out here...even managed to see the sun most of the time.
Thanks deshut and suehut...caches found were all in good shape.

With the fading light it made it much harder than it should have been great spot. Thanks for this cache!
Yearly maintenance and almost didn't check this one. Suehut could not find this one so we put a replacement cache in. Looked like there may have been a flash flood, otherwise Suehut was getting tired.
Let's know if you find two caches.

Out for a lovely sunny day on the long weekend to try this trail with the geo-kids.
We live close but have never been here so decided we would give it a shot.
Nice easy find and lots of swaps for the kids.
TFTC.

We were done for the day and along the way I thought this would be a great place for a cache. And open up the app and boom there was one here. TFTC
Decided today was the day to head out and try and collect a bunch of smiley faces. I've been out this way before so it was a no brainer to come back. Thanks for the effort in all the caches you've placed out here
Heading down to Torquay with Bogonghazy. Nice hide. Thanks for placing the geocache
We decided to head to the Brisbane Ranges today to finish off the Fun with Kids series. It was a lovely day to be out in the bush; it was cool and slightly overcast. The wildflowers were out all over the place. We thoroughly enjoyed all the caches in this series. It is great to find so many regular and large caches. Each of the caches in the series has been well thought out and would be great for kids to find. We dropped pathtags in around half a dozen caches today and can't remember which ones; hopefully, a few kids will find them and start collecting. We dropped an Earthcache badge in this cache. All caches were in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache and an enjoyable series, suehut and deshut.
Just a cache made by jamming together 2 soft drink bottles, which I was doubtful about. However has proved to be long-lasting and pretty waterproof. Ready to be found.
A really nice little spot here. Shame the site is hike is, but understand you'd never ever get a car camp here otherwise. Interesting use of a container.
Wow that one was very we concenled would have never found it with out the hint.
With The ring of Swiss cheese coming down we could now catch up with our Metro Mates, so once again I teamed up with Omegaman1971 and headed to the Geelong area to do some of the many labs and several caches in the area. We had a great time exploring the area. Today We started in Geelong but got a little frustrated with suburban caching so we headed to the Brisbane Ranges to do the Fun for kids trail.
This was one of the caches we found today.
Thanks deshut for the cache.

Out and about in the area with my geo buddy Rebel Acts putting some smiles on the map.
Really enjoyed this series, great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
Was a shame that some of the logs were water damaged and a few offline.
Cheers for the cache

Nearly dismissed this one as rubbish! Very well concealed too, glad to not give up looking for this one.
Back here for the 3rd time to finish off the Fun for Kids series this afternoon. Always a pleasure coming back to the Brisbane Ranges National Park. Care was taken with each cache - sanitised our hands before handling each cache. TFTC.

TFTC. A quick find, guess kids love these cache. The old ones do. Thanks for placing these caches.
Had a great time with the kids driving through the Brisbane Ranges finding caches as we went.
Plenty of fun hides and lots of swag was traded.

Spent a glorious day out in the Ranges collecting the caches in this series plus a few extras, most were found fairly quickly whilst others took a little longer , my GPSr had me looking 7 - 10m from where I actually located most of them.

Gem hunting with annabella02, long day out and about until we startled a flock of cockatoos roosting in the evening dark - we all got a fright ! Missed a couple of multi caches but got most of what we went after . A good day , many thanks
Day caching with sassieold55 to collect a few gems, we had a good day, we had a couple of DNFs and missed the multis as we started the series late and finished in the dark with torches and for the two and a half drive home Thanks for the series suehut and deshut
A drive through the Brisbane ranges finding this series. All nice and easy but all enjoyable! Such a pretty area. Enjoyed working my way up the track, listening to an audiobook, enjoying the sun and the mad dash from cache to cache grabbing as many as possible. Thanks for the series!
This was an interesting gully and we were a bit glad not to be in a motorhome. There wasn’t a lot of parking but fortunately not a lot of traffic either. It would be beautiful with water in the creek. We really enjoyed exploring this area and appreciate the effort of your enjoyable caches.
Found with Beaker on our way home from a night away in Melbourne for a rock concert. Thanks
Quick find today with FerociousFlea whilst in the area after seeing a concert in Melbourne last night. Nice and easy...loved this series. What a fantastic idea!!

My sixth day of a 9 day caching road trip holiday.
Today I had set out to finish what I had intended to do yesterday before I ran out of energy (and comfort levels due to my wet shoes) and find my 11,000th cache. I had the specific one chosen, and coincidently there were many caching trails on the way.
In the end I managed to find 72 today.
Thanks for the caches.

A caching run with n0w0rries and the GeoMutts.
It's so peaceful out here.
We might return for a picnic.

A pair of backpackers were setting up camp just before we got here.
A novel container, I wouldn't have thought it would keep the moisture out.
Although there is not much water in the river bed today.

This is our second time chipping away at the kids series. So far so good. Navigating the journey with Geoboy (3) and Geobaby (11 months) it was only going to happy by car. This area was a little challenging for our 2wd Corolla, but achievable. TFTC and adventure!

Out for the day with my brother Snap Happy, cleaning up fun for kids series, that has been on the radar for some time. We also managed to grab a few extra caches along the way. We discovered many great and clever hides and had no DNF's amongst the finds. Some interesting scenery, in an area I don't normally travel. We didn't have any kids with us today but we still had a very successful day, with some laughs and good company.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. As of the start of 2018 my average was only 47 words per log, which seems a long way from the 100 target. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 7000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 50 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.
Thanks deshut for placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play.

We decided to head out for a picnic and enjoy the day, the youngest member of our team loved this series, and loved logging his own name where he could, he loved the puzzles when there was one, and raced to make the finds, thanks for the cache and the fun
Logged as SKK. Out and about with kenare and kenbryl on this wet and windy day, having fun finding some more caches in this series. Cigc. Tftc
Logged as SKK.
Kenbryl asked if we could dag in our pjs for 1 whole day of the school holidays and I agreed, but we have busy holidays organised so we compromised, we agreed that we could go caching in our pjs for some more of this series. Last night we went out for an impromptu cache run wearing our pjs, so today was a normal clothes cache day trip. Sean.75 didn't agree with the pjs but, so we couldn't have him be the odd one out. We found some more of this series but have still left enough to come back again soon. Tftc

Dippa46 and I spent a most enjoyable day converting green to yellow on the map and having fun completing the various requirements for each cache. TFTC
Went out for a days search to see what we, MazzyMay and me, could find. We managed to find this one. TFTC.
What a wonderful day to go geocaching - sun shining and good company with Bunadoorian. Back to try and find more of the Legends series and then to start the Kids for fun series. Ingenious use reusing and recycling for the cache container!!! We thank you for placing the caches as it has taken us to an area we had never been to and it is a lovely spot. We turned around here - but loved the position of this cache. Will have to come back !! Couldn't get over the house on the hill in what appears to be the middle of nowhere - but the views they would have!!! TFTC suehut and deshut. 23 of 30 today.
Despite having no kids with us, we had a great morning finding these fabulous caches along the track. Such a pretty place, the weather was perfect, and it's a simply superb series for the geokids! TFTC

Today I headed West to attend, Come & Visit Parkville Nov 2018 - Wyndam Vale with biggles1024 but once that was over we then headed out to the Brisbane rangers to tackle a couple of different series, fun for kids was first followed by the Legends! series.
We started from the south and counted down to number 1 as we headed along this at times very rough and other time very good road.
At times the coordinates were very good and other times for us they were out a bit but in the end we were able to find them all and this series was completed.
**Thanks to deshut and suehut for placing this cache.**

**Find #3032**
**Traditional Cache Find #2085**
An early start was needed to head across the city to attend the "Come & Visit Parkville Nov 2018 - Wyndam Vale" event with SteMicMitSar and also find a number of caches in the area.
This looked like a fun series and with a number of Large containers to be found, was too tempting to pass up. We moved from the last to the first. Most were quick finds, but some needed cacher sense rather than our GPS's as the co-ords were at times up to 11m out for us today. The area was very quiet and only a small number of vehicles and people were encountered during the day.

This afternoon we headed out to do the Legends series and then continue on through the Brisbane Ranges to the fun for kids series as well to get another day of 50+ finds for a challenge we are working on. We were pretty successful, only one DNF on the Pacman Legends Letterbox cache and all others found.
It was pretty quiet today but a couple of times some ancient vintage motorcycles came through on a cruise. Why you would choose these dirt roads I do not know.
The other reason we wanted to do this trail is because we are slowly working on a challenge cache that requires 100 large size caches so this helped greatly.
As we got to each multi we swapped between puzzle solvers/clue gatherers while the other one randomly searched. We found a few finals like this today before the puzzle solving was finished. Not sure if that make us bad puzzle solvers or good searchers?
Trail getting steep now...awesome house up on the top of the hill.
Thanks deshut and suehut for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Found with nirgalagrin... now I have my own account.

Someone has been spending way too much of her time staring into the screen of the laptop, so it was suggested that we go and find some fun Geocaches. As this series has the words 'kids' and 'fun' in their titles, they seemed to fit the bill. So, lunches, snacks and swaps packed, off we trooped. To her credit, ZombeeFish only complained about being bored during the drive out here about seven times...
So after enduring kilometre after kilometre of freeway 'safety works', and dealing with a few Legends on the way in, we reached the main attraction.
And they were exactly as advertised. Good sized, fun containers with plenty of swaps, enough trickery mixed in to keep the kids (and occasionally the adults) on their toes. Most of the time, I acted as chauffeur and let ZombeeFish work out where the hides were, sometimes with comical results.
deshut and suehut, as with most series, this is a generic log, with occasional colour. We got to #27 together, with the occasional nudge to continue, and it was dark for the last few. Thanks for some father and daughter entertainment.
Now, someone gets to stare at the computer screen sometime soon, to log her impressive total of 33 finds for the day. Ah, well, that's the bonus of having your own account, eh.

Got abit touch and go on the road hear getting abit rough for my little run around but i go there . Tftc
This one was a cheeky design, 2 big soft drink bottles pushed together. Oddly enough it is not letting in any water. Who said containers needed to cost money?
Out for a spot of geocaching with Earthbound Chieftain. A nice quick find. TFTC.
We trekked over this side of town today to collect a few legends. We overthought this one and then I almost stepped on it!
Thanks for placing Fun for Kids 20 so we could find it. Cache was all good.

This morning it was wet and during the day quite heavy downpours kept everything very wet. It wasn't long before my footwear was wet and there was water gravel and mud inside my vehicle. But with all these fun caches to tempt me I continued to enjoy them. A fantastic series and only sorry that I had no geokids to enjoy them also. TFTC suehut and deshut
Off I go to Melbourne! Down from Canberra for a caching trip around the Mega!
Today's geo itinerary was to grab this trail and a few other randoms along the way.
I really enjoyed this series! Mostly lovely big containers, easy finds and the fragrance of the bush after the rain was amazing! Loved taking the geounit through this beautiful area
Thanks for the hide and for the series, deshut

Another great day out in the Brisbane Ranges. Such a strange highway where I also have some geocache hidden (but not on this site), so I know the area well and it's a great place to get out for a day driving or strolling.
Took nothing, left nothing.

Crack'n'LeeLee wanted to get out for a drive today. After having already done some of the series and the weather being a bit drizzly, we decided to do a few more here. Easy find. Nice and dry after the rain.
Almost back at the car at Little River Camp after a boring road walk. Nice looking container in pleasant surroundings, to give us good memories of this area.
This had to be last one today and the most interesting to get to, was worth it as I can imagine on a sunny day it's a lovely place to stop
We were wondering why there was such a gap between 19 and 20 on this trail and once we drove along the road it made a lot more sense. TFTC
Team Gunks headed out today for a family day caching and exploring. The kids had not been so keen on caching in recent time, they loved it when younger but had lost a little interest. Hopefully these series and some others on the way.
Well as soon as we got started and all the cache were fully off goodies the swaps came out and the running and mayhem to find each cache first started. I think we double swapped and treble swapped at some and loaded a few up that were light on goodies.
I also thought this would be too many cache for one outing but we did the lots!
Not too much wild life about, just saw a wallabie and some small lizards.
"Little River" was a bit of an exaggeration, no water! Stopper there for our picnic.
Had a great day out, thanks for bringing us here for an explore. and TFTC.

We've been wanting to get back to complete this series since last year and thought we better make the most of this beautiful sunny afternoon.
Thanks for placing and maintaining the most amazing series for kids
We had so much fun with all the creative caches and couldn't wait to see what was going to be next!!!
