Find#2820 Some Hunter geocachers and myself have talked for a long time about coming to Kempsey to complete the slim dusty series. We achieved this goal and also completed the Tamban Trail, the fruit and nut series and now the golfing series in town. Todays goal was to get as many in Kempsey as we could. Quick find Log and cache in good condition Signed and returned as found TFTC
Not really an NRL fan being from Victoria. But recording the clues. I don't have a clue who was in the final so not sure if it's a disadvantage. This was a quick find just had to negotiate the wet grass after heavy rain overnight. Thanks.
I headed out in the geo-car for a few caches today.Decided to hit a few around Kempsey I found your cache, NRL 2015 FINAL EIGHT #5 today. Quick find ozglory, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
I found this cache as I headed home to Adelaide after the QOGM events around Longreach. The plan was to be away for about a month. I travelled up to Longreach via Broken Hill, Cunnamulla, Charleville and Barcaldine, camping and finding caches of interest along the way. I am heading back home via Brisbane and the NSW coast to Sydney, then across to Adelaide. However my plans are pretty loose and subject to change, often on a whim! The weather so far has been good, albeit a little warm at times. I am hoping it stays good for the rest of the trip.I have had to be quite selective with the caches I have found as there are so many that I am passing. As a result I have mostly targeted non-traditional cache types, although I have also grabbed a few Trads opportunistically here and there. Thanks ozglory for the cache, which has contributed to an interesting and enjoyable trip.
Found with nissan65 on a day trip caching. Thankyou for the cache and your contribution to geo caching.
TFTC smile 15080 out and about with miss millie geo dog on a lovely day Signed and replaced, sign as GS1947 on small caches found on ground container full water found all the bits and cards placed back where I think it should be added stone paper, as the log is no good
Thank you, ozglory, for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

Since my walk had taken me to #4 I kept going to #5. Another quick find. At some stage the log would have been wet but it's completely dry now. Remembered to note the code which I forgot at #1. As yet it's no threat to finding the final as we haven't completed the series. TFTC ozglory.
On our trip south, we have been looking to pick up as many 2/2 caches as possible. Kempsey seemed to have a nice pocket of them, so we took this detour. We parked beside the busy road and were glad that we didn't sink into the grass. We made our way over the recently mown grass towards GZ and could see the cache several meters away. We signed the log and carefully placed the cache with sufficient camo to make it less obvious to muggles. The cache is in great condition. Thank you for this cache ozglory.
As I’ve already found and logged, I was helping JJPilly log some finds.
The cache log itself was badly water damaged but I have replaced the log and put it in a small ziplock bag for safekeeping
Nice and simple cache found with Ronnie,
Log book was badly water logged however Ronnie was able to replace it with a new log in a zip lock bag.

Found 15/11/2020 with JessYoung96.
Easy find and didn't take long to locate.
The team name and number we found in there was the same as another cache in the series (wont say it here as to not spoil the series and reveal it).
Hopefully it won't affect the series but we will see as we go through the NRL series.

Stayed at local show ground, did a quick anti clockwise morning loop of nearby caches. 2 large trees at GZ, just had to find the right one. Tftc

A quick find here on the trail on non-magnetised caches
I'd never heard of rugby league until I moved to Sydney back in the 80's .
AFL ruled back home in Adelaide [^]
So you can imagine me shock at seeing all those funny "Aitch" shaped goals scattered around towne.
It took me a while to figure out what they were used for [:o)]
Meanwhile out on the trail of caches today,
I soon found this bouncing ball [^]

On a slow road trip to the Geomuster at Morisset next weekend. Staying at various towns along the way and collecting many smilies on the way.
Today we are caching around Kempsey and nearly collected all the remaining Monopoly and NRL caches.

Finally time to get some caching done in Kempsey. We enjoyed exploring the area and this was one of the caches we targetted and found. Thanks to ozglory for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Another silent and eerie walk alone in the night up this dark road in search of a geocache. I must look like a crazy person!
Got to GZ and checked two trees, at two different angles and still didn't have CIH.
Only had 1 option left so I held my breath and had a look, ahhh there is the little bugger!
Thanks ozglory! 2nd last find for the night, don't want to stray too far from my accomodation and family or they might start to worry!

Today we travelled to Kempsey to find a few caches and complete the Monopoly series and the golf trail.
This was our 34th for the day, a straightforward find here after checking a likely spot.
Thanks for the cache

We dropped off the geokids to make this find, while we waited in the relative coolness of the car. Does this make us bad parents? We think we're promoting independence!! Fav point from Geoson as it's his favourite team. TFTC
On an all-night geocaching adventure with MV on his birthday from Newcastle to South West Rocks seeking some FTFs and high D:T combos. We left Newcastle at 5:30pm and arrived back at 12 noon the next day. 42? caches, targeting D2:T2 and higher. Steady drizzle, dark, no sleep, higher terrain = fun
Almost there... hmm, I wonder where this will end up? TNLN TFTC

Well what started as an innocent look at a few puzzles in preparation for the upcoming HAVOC Incarceration camping event, soon turned into an impromptu all night caching run when we managed to solve all the puzzles.
This was the last of the preliminary caches to find for this series, but with having missed one of the numbers, we picked this one up and them surmised which set of coords would lead us to gold.
Gratias ozglory.

Hi there ozglory.
We found your cache **"NRL 2015 FINAL EIGHT #5"** at 10:25:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 17603).
We started the day off by nominating a cache close to our camp site and then took a route that was mostly determined by the next closest cache according to our GPS. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around the area, even though the wind started to gust very strongly, forcing us to return to the caravan and pull in the awning and to stop our laundry from blowing away.
An added bonus was that ozglory was in town, so we met up with them for a delicious pub lunch before returning to the caravan to clean up all the wind borne dust.
We found 9 caches today & DNF'd 1. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Gee, the North Coast is really turning it on for us at the moment. Day after day of brilliant sunshine, and with the temperatures in the low 20's it's just perfect to wander around the area collecting lots of great geocaches. We really appreciate the local CO's for all their hides.
Another one in this series of hides which is taking us for a drive around Kempsey. Found this one in the open on the ground, so replaced him in a more protected spot. We left the dead rat where it was!

We also thought we would pick up just some of the NRL 2015 FINAL EIGHT series today. We found the ones that we had time to look for and were very happy to add these to our smiley collection on our map. Thanks ozglory for so many hides around the Kempsey area.
Sorry again Ozglory but no signed log on this one either.
At least you can make a nice album of pics of me:)
As before, feel free to remove log
Cheers

This was a quick park and grab, but be careful where you stand to do the signing duties as the next minute I had ants over my feet.

A quick stop this afternoon netted us 2 more clues for the series. 5 down, 3 to go. This one had drawn a bit of water and the log had gotten a little damp through the torn bag so we did a bit drying and gave it a new bag. Thanks again ozglory.
Out and about in town today finding a few caches before heading south to Wauchope.
Continuing to drive around town to complete this series.
A short search before spotting this one.

Found at 1:46 PM GAFF1 in the company of Team Nurse Hayley.
I think this is the one that was hidden in one of 2 trees. There was a big one that looked more likely and the co-ords said "zero" metres, but there was a nasty surprise in there - some barbed wire [B)] So went to the other one and spotted it hiding under some leaf litter.
Thanks ozglory.
