Out around Mallacoota checking a few caches and looking for at least one to log as a find
This one looks cactus, all chared trees and ash surrounded by new growth.
Almost definitely gone and should be disabled until it is checked.

look right....KEEP LEFT....it's my job to make certain so that we don't craash...... & we now have 'sim' cards in our smart phones so that we can be 'smart' enough to find some geocaches along the way......sooooo off we go, hoping to see some kangaroo and more.......TCTF, queenie
today is our day to drive south to victoria to grab a few caches (& get another souvenir)......and i still really hate the flies

#5529 26th for today
Day two of my impromptu trip down the far south coast of NSW. My original intention was to visit Gippsland if I had time, but I thought it unlikely for a 1 night stay. Today I awoke to discover a whole new power trail of over 100 caches had been published. Now I am not a FTF chaser, but here I was in poll position with any competition very far behind. So I thought, why not grab a few. I had no intention of grabbing them all, I do have places I need to be after all. I loaded up the new caches in my GPSr and hit the road. Breakfast would have to wait. I still managed to stop in at some, but not all of my original targets a found time for a really good, but late breakfast in Eden. I visited many beautiful places today and discovered some amazing caches, particularly the new VB power trail caches. Green-eyed monster was probably my favorite, and one of the last of that trail I found. I will assemble a group for a road trip to complete this trail outside of the fire-season.
I can't say I had my caching goggles on today, there were quite a few misses, particularly later in the day.
Interesting spot. A quick find.
Thanks Rollmatrix

Stopped to grab this one on our way to South Gippsland from Merimbula. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC!
Was in the area today working. I decided to grab a couple of caches whilst I was here and this was one of them.
The cache description and hint are not relevant to the cache hide.
I found it approximately 6 metres north of GZ. (Forked tree)

Found on a caching run while hubby was out fishing on Mallacoota lakes. Cache is in fine condition and was a relatively easy find. I stopped up near the highway and walked down the road to the “Y” however it would be an easy drive by TFTC
This is supposed to be an easy find. In view of the clue item not being around, and extending the search to the lower level and still not finding anything, and taking account of easy find logs and the DT rating, this is most likely muggled.
Found it with Crank1 on our way home from OZ Geo Muster Event after stayed at Bega and Canberra for a night each. Thanks for bringing us here and the cache.
Found it with pwala after we left Bega on way to home in Melbourne. Beautiful scenery country.

Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late and generic log, something I am notorious for. Thank you Rollmatrixfor adding to the adventure that is geocaching.

It's no long a "Bait sign", but a "Warning Poison, Fox control program" sign. TFTC Rollmatrix.
The long weekend was here and it was time for fitzy_1965 and I to head down to Vic in the geo-unit for an epic geomission We had a great time camping, cruising around admiring the beautiful scenery and nabbing LOTS of caches! A great weekend of quality caching all round!

14669. Found during a long weekend caching run down through the Bombala / Genoa / Mallacoota / Cann River / Orbost / Lakes Entrance / Bairnsdale regions with specimenX.
A long weekend caching plan was hatched with specimenX to head down to Victoria for 4 days of caching and camping. Had a fantastic time driving around enjoying the scenery, camping at various locations, plus the huge number of caches to be found. After leaving Canberra at a respectful time this was our next stop for the day. This one was a nice quick find. Signed the log, replaced the cache, and headed off to the next one.
Thanks to all the COs for placing their caches !!

I worked out Why the "Y" , took the bait to find out which of the three possible ways to go, only to need to 'run off' the road to avoid a logging truck. Still, it was a quick easy find. TFTC Rollmatrix.

Quick and easy almost drive by. No locals or vehicles of any sort to be seen today. Thanks for the cache and for bringing us here.
We were on a mission today, to actually get caches in all 4 pages of the UBD Road Atlas that covers the far eastern section of Victoria that we haven't found a cache in. We would be chasing caches along a predetermined route, not all caches though, just the easily accessible ones, as time would play a factor in what we could and couldn't do.
We set off from Orbost early and headed for the Border on the Princes Highway, before returning to Cann River with a detour to Mallacoota. Then up the Monaro Highway to the Border to get caches in the map that covered this area. In what was a big day of driving, we managed to complete the task and arrived back in Orbost about 4.00 p.m., but that wasn't the end of our day.
We'd planned on grabbing the EGRT - Final at Orbost, but communication with the CO showed we had missed one cache and had to forget the final, so on to the missed cache 11 km away, then the drive to Bairnsdale where we'd made a late booking.
Thank you to all the CO's who placed caches along the route we ended up taking for our special day of caching, we loved the area in which we drove, even managed to cope with the icy mornings with frost on the ground until lunchtime.

Too easy!!! We spotted a bit of the container as we pulled up but evil me didn't pay the same courtesy to the next finder and covered it a bit more.
Thanks.

This cache info had been accidentally deleted from our GPS and we were going to leave it, but remembering some of the information we decided to look anyway. No problem finding it as a couple of vital things came to mind. Log was signed, took nothing, left nothing. Thanks to Rollmatrix for placing this cache.
Today the coast went south. Pass Tilba Tilba, Bega, Wallagoot Lake, Merimbula and the Sapphire Coast to Victoria. There we got to the country point and drove back over many beautiful bays and landscapes again. On the way we could find the one or the other cache and thank all owners for laying and holding the containers.

Found by Mary & David at 1020. Always good to get off the bitumen. We overshot the turn, but luckily we could come in from the other end. Rain is continuing. Won't be as many Fitbit steps today. Our thanks to Rollmatrix.

Out and about with Deep_99 on a coastal road trip. TFTC. YAY- we made it to Vic!
Our current visit to Australia had been in the planning for over a year with the very significant help and advice from friends who live in Melbourne. The original plan was for a 2 month visit, but as things progressed we just couldn't help extending our trip to the full 90 days allowed on our visas - after all it's a big country and so much to see and do, especially with our favourite pastimes being birding, hiking and of course geocaching! Our journey started with our arrival at Perth airport followed by a day cycling around Rottnest Island before travelling on to Adelaide where we met up with our friends. We then continued on to spend some time on Kangaroo Island, before heading to Melbourne via Goolwa, Strathalbyn, Coorong, Mount Gambier, Cape Bridgewater, the Grampians National Park, Port Campbell, Cape Otway and Lorne, cramming in as much as possible on route. The second leg of our journey was a fabulous 9 days in Tasmania. Having then returned to Melbourne we set off on the third leg of our journey, which is to Sydney via Wilson’s Promontory, Lakes Entrance, Mallacoota, Pambula Beach (where we are heading to at present), Thredbo, Canberra and Fitzroy Falls. After a visit to Sydney we will travel on to the Gold Coast, then after spending a few days in the nearby mountainous birding hotspots, followed by an overnight trip to Fraser Island, we will fly from Brisbane to Cairns, visiting yet more good birding sites. We will then drive up to Cape Tribulation before heading back south again to Port Douglas and a day out on the Great Barrier Reef. We then return to Cairns for the flight to Alice Springs, where we will hire a 4x4 camper and set off for a week on the circuit to and from Kings Canyon and Ayers Rock. We then fly to Darwin from where we will spend the last two weeks of our holiday making our way to Broome via Kakadu, Cooinda, Katherine Gorge, Kununarra, Lake Argyle, Emma Gorge, the Bungle Bungle’s and Fitzroy Crossing. Our last two nights in Australia will be spent in Broome before we fly back to Perth, from where we will connect with the flight all the way back home to Zimbabwe via South Africa. We already know we can't wait to return!
Found after a brief search. Thanks so much for the cache, our last before leaving Victoria.

On a day trip to Eden as the weather was to be dismal - not good for bush walking or fishing. An easy find near an historic location that has faded away like so many other little country localities. Left a troll to enjoy the peace and tranquillity.
P.S. the weather at Eden was absolutely foul and the little café where we had lunch had to deal with floods as well as food!

# 9842. Our second day in Mallacoota and with a rather wild and windy day forecast we jumped on the bikes early and rode out to Bucklands Jetty and back. Just about blew backwards on the last part of our journey. Mid morning we jumped in the geo-chariot and headed to Genoa and Gipsy Point and gathering a couple of caches along the way.
We took a little while to find this one - finally I spied something bright blue - oh there you are hiding from us. Another good-sized container. Signed our names and back to the main road we went.

Day eleven of a challenge trip to East Gippsland with BettyBoo3747.
Another day of riding the deadly treadlies around Mallacoota. Rode around the lakes on all the new paths, all the way to the furthest cache and back!
As the weather started to turn, we jumped into the geo-mobile and completed a few near Genoa.
The GPSr was a bit erratic around here, but soon settled. Still took a while for BB to spot the blue lid.
Thanks, Robmc.
