13 km round trip run from Lincoln with the sole goal to get this cach and no luck. Had a good look but lots of hiding places here,
After a bit of searching found it, a note was left. "Stolen by Smelly Toes" :/
No luck at all - must have been in a bit too deep - but I did try from all angles, but saw nothing!!
Out amd about on this blustery day. Thank you for placing and maintaining this cache as well as a history lesson Aslan* from Mr Cuddly Brick; this most exellent day the 24 August 2016. Whoop whoop cache #1428.

After noticing a few dnfs recently up the road and finding one that had already been muggled decided we would head this wasy instead of carrying on up the road. nice quick find tftc found with chiko1
After a leisurely start to the day (to allow the temperatures to increase a little), StreetWalker and I headed south west towards Leeston to find at least 5 caches to turn 7th of August into a "tensy" day.
I overshot the handy parking spot, so had to turn into the Springston Hotel car park (pretty sure it was closed at the time) and walk back to GZ.
After a short peering session, StreetWalker located the cache and also went in to retrieve. First of several station caches today. TFTC.

#12862. We took advantage of the good parking at the pub, and just had to cross the busy road to get to GZ. The cache is a fair way in, and took a bit of spotting and retrieving. TFTC.
no joy. Had a lot of DNF out Ellesmere this afternoon. One is confirmed stolen as there was a note at it
Decided to head out with 2Wombles to mop up a few caches. Thanks for all the effort in putting together the caches.
Decided a day out caching was needed, so arranged to head out with Survey Base. Thanks for the cache
Has some trouble discerning where the rail actually went but neat to be shown such spots.

Took the morning off work to pick up my sister from the airport and take out to Lincoln uni, decided it would be rude not to pick up a cache while I'm out here. Quick find before arriving at work around 11am. TFTC (2692)
While we were searching for the cache, one of the people who lived nearby wanted to know what we were doing. So we explained to him the concept of geocaching. Out book crossing book about a panda.
The nearby irrigator nearly gave us a wash while we were finding this nice big cache.
Cheers and thanks,

Out caching with Tracywebster411 Understanding where old rail line went This is not where I expected the Rail line to cross here
Day out in the country to get away from city madness. Picked up 2 TBS and dropped 2. Tftc.
This was the last opportunity for BBear44 and I to go geocaching together this year. Our cache mobile was a little late leaving the station and we were hoping to beat the storm and make it to Rakia Hutts.
This was the first stop. The sky was blue, the road was busieish and the cache was easily found. It was a good size to drop off two travel bugs. Safe journey you two.

I decided to take the train for a ride on the Southbridge Branch Line. This was the first station the trian stopped at today. Fortunately, although it was just a brief stop I still managed to sign the log and get back aboard before it headed away to Gould Rd. TFTC.
Hedged my bets on getting to the station and still be in time to get to work. The trai. Didn't let me down and steamed in right on schedule.
On Tour together with Sabe73 as Team "TheBros" around South Island to visit some nice spots.
We also visited this location and could find the box almost quickly.

Last day of the mega trip and not that much time for caching, still always time for just a few.

Another cache found today with Woody104 on the second day of our Mega Adventure. Salamat!
Refreshed after a coffee stop found quickly and went on our way. Wasn't too keen on the gorse bush I put my hand on. But part of the joys of geocaching. TFTC
Easy find on a lovely day. Just to say I enjoyed all the "old" station histories from you. TFTC
Thank you for setting this series up. We are always fascinated by old railway lines and looking for evidence of them. (We are from the UK, and when we lived there we had plenty of opportunities to do this).
The cache was a quick find. TFTC.

A very windy late afternoon. The dust was totally obscuring the port hills and you could feel it in the air on your face. A quick drive out and a nice quick find and sign between the traffic.
A quick find on a windy day out caching with my best friend Frizzledough.

Found while enjoying a day collecting a few of the local caches. TFTC Aslan*, #8150
Found on a nice warm sunny afternoons tootle following the old train lines. Love the history. Grabbed a handful of dry gorse before grabbing the cache....ouch! LOL. That woke me up!
Thanks.
Thanks.
Nervously reached in!! The traffic by here was horrendous. Of course school was just out. Nice to have something that is not a micro. Thanks.
A couple of Lincoln lads standing outside the Springer? The story of every Thursday night it seems! I've heard stories of train engineers stopping off for a quick beer here, the perils of a very convenient pub to the tracks. Cache already found by some muggles too. [FTF] with Karma Reprint, cheers!

Well done on placing a series of caches conveniently close to work, Off on a mad mission between meetings with Kiwi Moose. Was the Springer tempting? Not today, too many {FTF} to chase. Wahoo 2 of 7 for the day.
