Washed away. Haven't been able to get another cache like it.

20-Jul-16
We found this cache on 3 June 2016.

Yesterday, we were contacted by another cacher for an extra clue with this one as they were having trouble locating it.

We provided a clue but also realised that since we had located this cache we had had some significant rainfall between then and now.

GeoMum was in Wollongong today and called past to see if it was still in it's location. Unfortunately, it seems to have gone from where we had previously located it. She had a quick look around (it was raining again) but couldn't spot it in the surrounding area.

Unfortunately, this one will need to be replaced.

20-Jul-16
Reported missing. Will investigate

23-Jun-16
Dnf, if hint is true probably washed away last week in storms. If by some miracle it is here, update the GZ coords, out by at least 20m

This is the first of this kind of container we've seen and we loved it! Gps was a bit off but we went for a wander with the clue in mind and we found it. Unfortunately, we didn't have tweezers on hand to be able to remove log to sign. TFTC

Finally found after a long period of searching this morning. I was literally for work I was so determined to get this one. I was checking, bumping, twisting, climbing, hiding (from muggles), bending and looking everywhere for this one. I decided I was defeated and walked away but about 50m away I decided to go back for a fresh look and found it in an obvious place. It fit in so well with the surrounds I feel that it was well worth being tardy at my place of employment. Tftc ??

Signed back in to the gc website. Backlogging a majority of finds over the last year. Started my own account and it's time to sync it out. To avoid confusion I wont change the date logged. Send me an email (via profile link) or a message in the message centre (also via profile link) if you have any concerns.

The log was full, but I managed to find a tiny spot to add my initials.

I found it at these coords (S 34 25.178 E 52.820) about 18m from where my GPSr wanted me today.

In the area doing some caching and decided to try my luck again after a DNF back in November. Its amazing what a couple of months can do because I walked straight up to it. Opened it and Oh no log! A look around and spotted it lying on the ground. I manged to find a place to sign, however the log is full and signatures are hard to read due to weather. TFTC spacetimetravel.

Note to CO: I think it needs a new log.

TFTC, was a bit challenging because of the off coordinates. I used the advice of those before me & the new Co-ords got me there but not without multiple mozzie bites! Take repellant for this one

02-Jan-16
GPS was a bit off but the clue narrowed it down. TFTC.

01-Jan-16
With the intension to go to the New Year's caching event I wondered about the Gong to find some more caches. I had to promise a visit to the beach to get one of my little brothers out for the day as well.
my Brother had a funny shrieking attack after spotting a mosquito buzzing around.
Thanks for the cache.

01-Jan-16
Screwy is the word. Princess nearly gave up due to Lizzie's but found at the last moment. TFTC.

found it!

25-Dec-15
Our 25th find to celebrate Christmas Day ☺ Smartphone again struggled with coordinates due to tree cover. Not anywhere near where we were led. Definitely magnetic. Definitely low. Definitely near water. TfTC ☺

13-Dec-15
After reading the previous logs I was expecting this to be a real struggle. I used the coords from Wilbert67's log, walked up to the obvious structure and spotted the cache straight away. Phew! That's #2499 now, leaving #2500 for the ICC event on Wednesday. TFTC!

13-Dec-15
GZ is off, clue points you in the right direction. TFTC

02-Dec-15
Second "screw" in one day

02-Dec-15
At first you expect it to stand out, but it is well camoflagued !

02-Dec-15
Finally found this one after the coords had me all over the place quite some distance from where I found it in the end. Glad to be able to turn this one into a smiley Smile

18-Nov-15
Seeing a fresh find on this cache I returned as I headed into Wollongong tonight where after a thorough search I finally had it in hand. Clearly I hadn't looked hard enough the first time.

Thanks

17-Nov-15
Came here hoping for a quick find but with 2 DNF's showing in my gps I left empty handed.

16-Nov-15
Seeing as I didn’t need this as a backup last Saturday when I found Screwy 1, used it today to tick another day off the calendar. Final GZ appeared to be half way between the posted and alternate co-ords mentioned in another log but ended up concentrating more on hints when I just caught a glimpse of the expected container as I nearly stubbed my toe.

15-Nov-15
Despite updated coordinates and the hint could not locate this 1

15-Nov-15
No luck here today.

13-Nov-15
On the way down south to do some work and had planned in advance a couple of caches in this area. No luck. There seems to be a discrepancy between the coords and the hint? That was today and the GPSr signal wasn't too bad. Knew where to look but not today. Back another time.

11-Nov-15
To think I missed this one last time!

Well camo'd definitely fits in the environment!

cheers

07-Nov-15
found it in the 1st place i looked thanks to the help of the hint.

28-Oct-15
His one took me a bit of time to locate, but wasn't going to give up, paid off. TFTC

16-Oct-15
No find looked every where

14-Oct-15
A very quick find today. TFTC

14-Oct-15
DNF for me today, I checked the more obvious spots, but I didn't get lucky.

10-Oct-15
CIH pretty quickly for this one. Nice new container, rust is quite deceptive. TFTC.

10-Oct-15
Yep....title says it all! We actually came across this one whilst following some other posted co-ords for a cache nearby! Quick find. TFTC

04-Oct-15
Love containers like this and well used in the right location. Shame that the coordfs are way off again? However the hint was very helpfull here. Better coords S34 25.181 E150 52.820

It was in the first place that I looked----but I didn't see it so spent time looking about then looked again and there it was. I hate that.

I got the notification of this new listing as I was eating my lunch. I quickly decided to go for a walk and see if I could score the virgin find.

A very quick find, and the log fell straight out! Perfect. Another blank logbook, FTF for me.

I am pretty sure I have found another cache just near here a few years back.

Thanks for the excuse for the lunchtime stroll.

Cheers

Another successful treasure hunt with geograndkids. Helped having sets of eyes much closer to the ground than mine. Sneakier hide than #1 but a tiny log paper won't last long. My pen wouldn't write on the front but I got some traction on the back. I confess to being a Keiraville resident for 30+ years who never knew these tracks were here so TFTC spacetimetravel.
