I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
No luck. Found the black cat, but was this the cache container? Attached some pictures where the cat sits and how it looks like.
Not sure if the entire cache is missing, or belongs the cat to the original hide.
Coromandel weekend Day 2. Found during 21.3km Coromandel Walkway stroll from Fletcher Bay to Stony Bay. Found the black cat too. No log book and had no spare with me .... Campsite is closed now for renovation. Beautiful spot anyway! The campsite is scheduled to reopen 1 December 2019. (info from DOC website)
I had always wanted to venture to the top of Coromandel on a caching trip. So when Boges offered to be my driver a plan was hatched. We spent the night along the coast and then cached our way up the west side to Fletcher Bay. I then walked the track thru to Stoney Bay while he drove around to meet me. A few more caches as we made our way back to our accommodation. I was able to clear most of the caches and ended the day with 37 finds out of 39 (2 DNF).
After walking the track we stopped for a look here. After searching for sometime and only finding a fishing lure we gave up. This was my first DNF for the day.

The only one up here where the gps wasn’t jumping around so found easily with no reception. Great spot. Tftc
It was a very hot Summer day and we think most of the camping muggles near GZ must have been having a siesta as we couldn't see many in the campground. With the help of the hint this cache was soon in hand, and we could return back along the walkway to Fletchers Bay.
Unable to take a good look as there was a lot of muggle activity going on. I walked around the GZ a few good times and came up empty.
Nice find to entertain the kids on a cold morning while the boys are out diving and kayaking
Joined in on the fun with 11HPG11 and Cats&Dragons on a overnighter at Port Jackson. Kiwis69 also joined the crew on the Saturday to find a few caches. The whole weekend was a blast, and a lot of fun was had. The logs were all signed as "HOAC" to save space on the logbook.
Over the two days we ended up have a whirlwind tour of the upper half of the Coromandel, and thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip. A big thanks to all the CO's for being our tour guide/s over the weekend. A truly unforgettable trip.
On the way home now, but not before we find the last few caches up this way. A couple was camped right next to the cache, but that didn't bother us in the end.

Homeward bound now from Port Jackson after some storms cut our camping short. Home via a few caches of course. Our group today consisted of HKCB, Cats&Dragons, and myself
All up we had a whirlwind tour of the Coromandel and saw some amazing sights. Plus a few boxes here and there of course. It was interesting to see how the storm and king tides had changed certain spots and we were treated to some spectacular thunder storms rolling in from Great Barrier. The camping was an experience, wet, full of laughs, and a great time. Thanks to the cache owners for showing us round the Coromandel and giving us a reason to get out and about.
Lots of campers around but managed to get in and make the find without being spotted. Beautiful spot, thanks for showing us.

A group of us were heading up to Port Jackson for a bit of a gathering so in the company of Alpenmilch80, HKCB & 11HPG11 this was our stop on the way to Port Charles with an aim at some truly memorable caches and lots of laughs. All Logs signed as "HOAC" to save on space
I ended the weekend with a total of 50 caches, a FTF, and approx 10 years of lonely caches (predominantly all located above Coromandel township). A 600km round trip and back home in 42 hours, so not a bad little haul, of course remembering that the first casualty of a well laid plan is "The Plan". We also located a great number of caches that had supposedly been DNF'ed over the last several visits, so that is always a bonus and a great thing to be able to let the various CO's know.
This was the end of the trail we had done earlier in the day so semed only right to finish it off. Great views adn a surprising number of campers about enjoying the tranquil and quiet.
The rewards of the stunning views out were enough reward but the cache was the added bonus.
Thanks for bringing us to this spot for without the cache we may have just passed on by.

Can't believe we were camping by this the whole time placed a virtually expired trackable
Found this one while on a holiday from our home in Whangamata. We camp up here every year so with good weather we came to try out our new tent. The container is nice and dry TFTC

Found on the ground next to the tree. Signed the log and placed on the tree at waist height under some shrubbery.
Thanks DOC for bringing us back to this beautiful spot.

It never happened to me, that I slept right beside a cache. But this time it was like this and I had pitched my tent right under the said Pohutukawa. So when waking up I could start the day with a cache straight away.
Thank you!
Thank you!
This was a DNF for me after camping here for a week and waiting for the big group of
campers under the Pohutakawa to go home we had no luck.

Heard this was a lovely area, but picked the wrong day to come! Was so windy we didn't get to enjoy it! Cache was a nice easy find TFTC!
Lovely area up here but extremely windy today so not so pleasant. Good spot for the cache, TFTC
It was still daylight when myself and FMZ came by here from Auckland. This has to be one of the best camping grounds I have been to! Nice to see the stream here and the camp ground surrounding it. Once we had entered the grounds, the tree was soon spotted on our left, we drove straight to it on the grass, heck! We could just about have got the cache from the car! I spotted a couple nearby doing their dishes so a little amount of stealth today was necessary. We signed a blank log and slowly worked our way further into the grounds to see what further adventures awaited us. Thanks for the placement! {FTF} #167
Listing retracted.
Hi DoCWhitianga,
Unfortunately we failed to spot the mix up with the coordinates on this cache - it turns out the published location is Sweden! (a long way to go for the DOC Geocaching Challenge!)
I have retracted the listing so we can fix this issue up and get them back out again. It looks to me that the degrees are incorrect, though the rest of the coordinates (minutes etc) may be correct. So where it currently reads N 59° 56.482 E 018° 17.109 it should perhaps be S 36° 56.482E 175° 17.109?
You can update the coordinates and then resubmit the cache for review.
Apologies for not picking this up in the first review!
