Due to having to entertain the Grandkids today, we decided a trip to Creswick caching was the order of the day. This was our first cache for the day and Mr E was the one who found it. Tftc.
Spotted this series a while ago and have finally made the trip out.Quick find on this one - on to the next. TFTC
Another cache and another mine, it is amazing how many mines there are in this local area. Just great for cache placement. SL TFTC
Not what I expected but I'm pleased to find it in this condition. Cool and windy this morning. I doubt it would deter me if there was gold to be won here! TFTC SL TN LN.
I stopped here with TangentGoat to collect this cache. We were aiming for 6 caches today for TG to achieve her solstice souvenir. The cache was a quick and easy find. Accurate coordinates and cache was in good condition. Thanks for the cache and placing this series.
Today we planned to learn alot about gold mines and visit many. Like all good plans sometimes they change. We managed several but as the GPS had decided to cease working life became quite tricky, we could get to the general vicinity but then it was sheer brute force geocaching sense that made the finds, considerably slowing our progress. We enjoyed the ones we did, and appreciate the effort and information CO has put into this series.Tftc
Moving to Ballarat at the moment but still headed out for a couple of quick caches. Had no issues here and the cache was soon in hand. Log was signed and I was off to the next one.
Thanks Saint.Anthony....cache all good.
Thanks Saint.Anthony....cache all good.
We are visiting family in Ballarat and today we went for a drive to find a few caches. Most of them were quick finds. Thanks Saint Anthony..
We had looked for this cache about a year ago without luck. After a few DNF logs the CO had replaced it a few days after our visit. This time all was good and we could sign the log. Thanks to Saint.Anthony for this cache.
Found with PapaGrouch. We went out for a drive this afternoon to find some caches, this was one of them. It was a nicer day to drive around this afternoon, not as hot as yesterday. TFTC
Day out caching with sassieold55, getting thirsty jumping in and out, nice find. TFTC
Quick find, the neighbours probably thought I was squatting for a pee haha tftc
Found while doing a run of mostly your caches in the area. Gee you've put out a lot, which is great for all of us cachers. Our find was witnessed by some watchful sheep. Thanks for the hide.
Coordinates changed from:
S 37° 22.917 E 143° 52.885
Coordinates changed to:
S 37° 22.914 E 143° 52.897
Distance from original: 60.8 feet or 18.5 meters.
Indeed the new sign has meant a loss of the original container and need for a new hide. Note changed coordinates across the other side of the row. All good to go again.

Wow... 2 December! When did that happen? After finishing off the Christmas caches it was back to complete the rail trail which was partly completed last visit and a few other caches before heading home.
The road is currently closed but I took the short walk after road works had ceased in the evening and made the find. The cache is still in place however the sign is not and all of the surrounding area is almost dug up. Log is a little wet.
Thanks Saint.Anthony for the cache.

So good to be caching and doing some gold detecting. The country side is looking green and lush and the canola fields are spectacular
Staying in creswick for a few days.

It was great to be back in the area caching and catching up my buddy Rebel Acts.
So many new caches online around Ballarat and Creswick since the last time I was up this way, and awesome to see some lab caches here as well.
Cheers Saint Anthony for the caches and the fun weekend

I had a few days off so plans were made to catch up with omegaman1971 and do some caching around the Ballarat and Creswick areas, We had a great time finding caches in the area and learning about the history of the region. The weather was a little cold but bearable.
Thanks Saint.Anthony for the cache.

Looked around and could not find it... found a spot it could be but nothing was there
On a day trip to Creswick and beyond to explore the area and of course to Cache our way around .
A cache to tell the story of history with great cache notes .
There are so many mines in this area and wonder where the nearest piece of gold is .

Checked log and dried it out. Replaced and added ziplock plastic bag to protect. All good here!
Quickly found but unfortunately when DerpyLizNerd pulled the log out it was soaked. Not signed.
Tftc saint.anthony quick find in the hot heat. Time for a dip in the water fountains at creswick.
This road was busy today. Found the cache but it's really wet, inside and the log is saturated. Sorry I didn't have anything with me to fix it. Tftc
Heading to St. Arnaud for the mega event. Day 70 of our trip. Caching along the way. A total of 7 for the day and 1945 for the trip. TFTC
Checked today. Minor maintenance required with wet log. Replacement log all good to go. Happy geocaching.
Came through the north of Creswick to pick up a few of these caches. Most of them were easily found although some of the log books are becoming full or they are wet. I’ll be back to finish them off one day.
On my trip from Adelaide to Tasmania. Today was a big day out, I headed from the Grampians (halls gap), to Ballarat with a few detours along the way. With a few target trail caches to pick up along the way, all the caches in my to do list were found and a total of 95 caches were found for the day.

A days caching trip down to Creswick area and going around the mine caches, seeing how we still have a few down this way to get. Went in the car, took Geodog Penny and FUF009 came with us as well.
It is unbelievable as to how many mines are around this area and so good to see that each one is marked with a wooden sign.
Cache quickly found then onto the next one we went.

Came out on a sunny Sunday June morning to cover a few places we had not yet been. An amazing series here and we thank you very much Saint.Anthony for bringing us to these amazing sights. Little less known places around here that are stunning to look at! Stopped by for a quick drive by on this one in a beautiful part of Creswick. TFTC, TNLNSL, CIGC
Newstead Day 3
Todays trip was around the mining area as far south as Creswick. We came accross some amazing caches & locations, a really enjoyable day.
The weather started quite bad, rain jackets & beanies to keep warm. The unsealed roads were good to drive on as we kriss cossed the country side. Learnin a little about the area as we went.
Thanks for placing this cache Saint.Anthony

Picked up a few from this series on a day out caching with Dive Wombat and the 7 kids. I found this one, to celebrate 250!!! Thanks for the cache.
Awesome cache series. We found this one with our caching buddies the Albertmeadows. and family.
Wanting to get caches today, but 40+ degree heat, trying not to look suspicious and of course being aware of the where you are stepping was a challenge for wanting to get a large number of caches before the end of the month to qualify for a challenge.
After chatting to CO at an event on Ballarat about this, he suggested I head out here. It turned out a good option.
LeeLee really enjoyed the caches she did. Seeing different areas and the old ruins. You could only imagine how busy it would have been all those years ago.
Thanks Saint.Anthony.

Found by Team Ladava on our first day dedicated to caching without any thought of work tomorrow following my recent retirement.
We celebrated by returning to this wonderful series featuring the early goldmining operations in the Creswick to Clunes area and why wouldn’t you with accurate coordinates, extensive information on the cache page, comprehensive hints and today, a 100% find ratio.
Locations like this are 'the icing on the cake' of Geocaching with the locals hosting us anonymously to their favourite spots.
