#23149 @1920Day 3 of an 8 day trip: Drive from Canberra to Melbourne, then by air to Flinders Island, Launceston, King Island, and back to Melbourne, then drive back home to Canberra. Today, I was targeting counties, preferring to also find caches with certain attributes (e.g. size) to help with various personal goals. Cache easily found, soon after a downpour passed over. TFTC.
Thanks to a passerby who immediately knew what I was doing despite me sitting. I had gave up on that spot. So I'm glad she said something. Very cool hide and easy to look over. Tftc
Travelling by scooter around a few local caches. Fairly easy find, as I had seen caches like this before. There were a few locals outside on the footpath opposite, but they didn't take any notice of me. No doubt they had seen people looking in the same place many times before!
Whilst I am out in the inner east a bit recently, my circle of available caches is growing wider and wider. I had to drive past my destination to get this one, but fortunately it was right in plain sight and I knew exactly where to look!A big thanks goes to baluke for taking the time to add Hidden in plain sight #69 to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Are you ready for Victorias next big event?Join us for Victorias first ever *Block Party* to celebrate 25 years of geocaching.**When:** March 22 - 23, 2025**Where:** Hume Global Learning Centre, SunburyLog your will attend at [**GCAP417: The Sunbury Event** ](https://coord.info/GCAP417) Visit our [**Block Party website** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/the-sunbury-event) for more details on the exciting lineup of events and activities as they are released!
I like HIPS caches. This was a quick one, fortunately as there was a bit of passing muggle traffic today.
TwoEms think this has been the fastest weve ever found a cache so far. We practically found it before we even got out of the car. With all this extra time to spare, we took a little turn in the park and discovered a fairy ring of mushrooms under a tree. Thank you for the cache.
I was out on this beautiful day with Redcb, seeking some caches that had caught our interest. This was the first on our mission, and it was found quickly. Thanks baluke.
Out enjoying the beautiful weather today with Crustyvarmint this was our first cache for the day. An enjoyable cache and a clever camo. Thanks baluke.
We found this cache today on a trip out to Templestowe. One of this series that we seemed to have missed over the years but that was rectified today. Thanks from D & H B-A
3rd times the charm! This was our third time coming here and finally found it. God it really is hidden innplain sight. TFTC!
Been here a couple times over the years and cant find it. Any extra clues would be appreciated
Oh wow!! This was really a tricky one, would never have guessed you could hide a cache so well!
Found on Easter Saturday in between heavy showers. Log is not coping well with the rain! Thanks for the cache.
A nice day out caching in the Doncaster area. This was such a sneaky hide in plain sight. Tftc really enjoyed this one
Today we concentrated on the Local Government Areas of Maroondah and Manningham as we worked towards two challenges. After very heavy overnight rain, we continued to experience periods of heavy rain, light showers and short periods of no rain - testing conditions for a days caching, especially as many areas were very wet, muddy and slippery. We were very pleased that, in the prevailing conditions, we found 26 caches.
As we arrived at this location, we were confident that we could see the cache. However we had to wait a few minutes for muggles to pass as it was the end of the school day. Then we got out of the car and the hunch was confirmed. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Team_Yarra for the cache.

Only a couple of obvious hiding spots for a cache hidden in plain sight at the GZ so made for a quick find. Attempted a scribble but a wet log and my pen didn't see eye to eye.
Second find during my afternoon walk.
I missed it on the first pass.
Not sure how.
Cache and log in great condition.
Thanks for the cache, the series and the pleasant suburban stroll baluke.

failed success! TTFC. Got us stumped for a little bit. Had to go back AGAIN to find it.
Didn't take too long luckily I have found some of this type of cache placement/hide before.
I had an errand to run in Templestowe today, and had time to find a few caches on the way towards home.
I am a big fan of HIPS caches, so this was a quick find for me.
No muggles too close, so the log was soon retrieved.
It has however become detached from the container, so had to be reset carefully.

We looked a lot but didn’t find it.. let us know if someone took it away or if we are dumb!
When I first started caching this hide would have flummoxed me, but I am older and wiser now. I love a cache boldly out there in the middle of suburbia.
Second cache of the day, my friend Ruth walked past, grabbed it instantly. Great hide, made me laugh
Finally after going on in founding the other one we came back to the spot. Won’t give too much away but it was much easier to find after we found the other one
When the COVID lockdown 4.0 was announced, the first thing we did was set up a pocket query for unfounded caches in 5km radius. When we arrived at GZ there were some noisy protectors in place. Nice quick find with great protection.
Found @08:02 #7524
A nice hide with some nice houses too. Another found on Saturday morning cruise around the local streets this morning.

After a DNF, came back and found straight, definitely blends in with the structure tftc
Well that was indeed in plain sight. Log a little damp after last night's rain but otherwise OK. TFTC.
Very clever hide! Bright and obvious and we'll hidden, all at the same time. TFTC!
I usually associate this type of cache with an "other" size but I had an idea that it would be this type when I saw GZ. There was a council worker muggle when I arrived but that proved to be of no consequence because he was blocked by a small substation. The cache was in good condition and all was in order. NTNL & TFTC.
Such a long time in between geocaching walks and it was great to be out on the paths again.
This one lived up to its name - nice and easy if you know what you're looking for.

Could not find when I first came here but came back when I was more experienced and found it almost straight away fantastic spot
Plain sight indeed! Glaring at me from across the road a quick dash today. TFTC ️
What a relief to head out for a few caches and not need to worry about the 5km zone any longer. I spent a pleasant Sunday morning in Ruffey Lake Park and nearby surrounds to find a bunch of caches here that I hadn't tried before. After a few finds in the park I jumped back in the car and followed the trail through the back streets to the east. This was a tricky one that I didn't see at first but a short loop of the likely targets and I had the cache in hand. Nicely done. My tenth find in total for the morning. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache Team Yarra / baluke.
Damn that was a good spot so good we couldn't find it spent about 30mins trying to find it but couldnt
Hidden in very plain sight - but I still made a damn fool of myself searching every nook and cranny.
Clever hide.
