Tftc Team Yarra. Bandyoda's big baw baw day out commenced with some drive bys on the way up and then as many on foot as time permitted. Finished up with a reasonable haul over 9.6 km on simply a brilliant Easter day.

The name and hint lead me away from gz to a quick find. Log and cache are in good order.

After a previous yet again DNF I was determined to come up trumps here.

As I approached GZ there was still the odd person running past.

Long day for some.

One lady I spoke to was doing 42km and did not even looked puffed.

Others a little diferent!!

The cache was a quick find when in the right spot luckily.

After an extremely long enforced break that many cachers had to take during this year. Either way I was keen to get out and sign my name in some tupperware.

So tagging along with ahomburg today on a nice stroll and maintenance trip up on Baw Baw. Once again I have been here in summer more times then I have in winter. And every time I think to myself how weird it is to see how empty they are.

Anyways thanks for the cache and taking me to the beautiful part of Victoria.

Found this on my way back from Mt St Gwinear. As I had (mistakenly) left all my snacks back at Baw Baw, I'd done about 10km at a reasonably good pace to this point with merely a sandwich and a ginger beer to fuel me, and I was starting to feel the effects. So I climbed up onto the rocks and over, but my legs were starting to rebel. Thanks for the cache.

Wahoo, I found another one before Illukaperi.

But then I realized I didn't have the pen. She did. And I had the geocache.

What ensued was a couple of perfectly timed throws and well executed catches of the geo cache as I threw it out for her to enter our names in and she threw it back for me to replace.

*11 Nov 2018, Found @ 12:59 pm, Find # 8524.*

Today I headed out with biggles1024 on a re-run to Mt. Baw Baw to try and clean up what we had failed to find last time some 3 and a half years ago as well as the ones we didn't get a chance at looking for.
We were now on the new lot that weren't here last time.
We arrived at some big objects and started looking at the one the the GPSr was pointing at but we ended up finding it on the other one.

**Thanks to baluke for placing this cache.**

**Find #3306**
**Traditional Cache Find #2260**

I headed into the mountains with SteMicMitSar today. An early start and a long day followed. This was one of only three that I managed to find today. My GPS put me around 5m from GZ, but standing back and looking at the prominent object, the hide was easily found. Smile

Find #9136

Nothing specific to report on this one, a quick easy find, although I did take the hint to the extreme and approached a long(ish) way from GZ. Cache in A1 condition.

I was at a loss for something to do this long weekend, so a plan was hatched to hit Baw Baw for a camping trip staying overnight at Phillack Saddle and wandering around on the mountain and also in Baw Baw Village. The weather was absolutely perfect with temperatures in the mid 20s during the day and mid teens overnight. Little did I know that a whole lot of motor heads were also descending on the roads up the mountain for their annual race.

Many thanks to Team Yarra for the cache. TNLN.

Found @09:53 #6319
With a week off from the normal grinding routine I sat down and wondered what to do.
With fine conditions forecast for the following couple of day I knew that a day trip to the southern high country and a region I haven’t been back to for a couple of years was a great idea. Quite a few caches had been published since I was last here and so got up early and left home at 6am to arrive at the car park by 8:30am.
Reviewing he cache map headed off up Muellers track with the main goal to find the 2 outer lying caches Gwinear & Orities. All up a 16km meander and was exhausted by days end. A clear indicator that my fitness needs to improve. Headed back down just after 4pm and was home by 6:15pm. An awesome day. Cool

The meander to this one was much like the last with the elevation gains completed the blue sky clam day was ahead. Turn out I used the hint and finally I realized where it could be. Nice spot for a cache.

Up at Baw Baw for the weekend, we had left the snowboards at home as the lifts are not yet turning. We woke up this morning to a nice fresh dusting of snow, and so decided to go for a walk on the cross country trails around the back of the resort.

We got shoulder deep into this one. They have shoulder length gloves that vets sell for this kind of activity, but alas i had only my trusty insulated ninja gloves. In i went, and pulled out a small brown package (no steam, however) hehe.

There are some very interesting rock formations out here, and we are very glad to be out and about appreciating them.

After a very satisfying 3 from 3 FTFs on the north end of the Village Trail and mid McMillan’s Trail I took the opportunity to find this one on the return trip. The hint was the key. tftc

I’d been watching these three new caches since their release … and was surprised to see they were still undiscovered more than 5 weeks later … so I took advantage of the fact that I had a free weekend, and good weather … a great opportunity to snare them.
I had forgotten that I would have no signal in the area … so luckily I’d done some homework and read the hints and knew the rough location of each cache ..
The story ended with a happy ending .. 4/4 caches including three FTFs. A satisfying afternoon. tftc

I headed out this morning to do the final 5 caches in this series, starting with Muellers, heading over to Bolt hole, Craic and back via Shampas and Drops in the Rocks.
A little milder when I set out and a bit of a climb to get out of the valley where we were staying.
Again these caches were challenging and well placed and yet again I was too early out to see another soul.
This one was very deep in the craic and I had to improvise here, Shed a little blood for the cause as well.
Thanks baluke
