After a bit of delay and deferment, Fitzy_1965 joined me for a day walking along the eastern section of the CCT trail above Bonner. It was a pleasant day which started overcast, but warmed up soon enough and was positively hot as I headed up the steepest slope to Oak hill. We found all the caches that were up there to be found and I took the second image for the virtual that started on One Tree Hill. It was then home to while away the afternoon until the evenings event to celebrate Festivus on the shores of Lake burley Griffin.

Continuing acceptance trials of the new e-TOTT, today I rode a 17.55km loop around the top part of the Centenary Trail with a 378m elevation gain finding caches and, with the CO's permission, performing maintenance on those caches that required it.
I located the log for this cache in the grass about 5m from GZ. It's in OK, dry condition, so I replaced it in the container and re-hid - all good to go.

Cache rehidden after being found out in the open 5 meters from GZ. Please replace the cache as found.

Out to do another section of the CCT trail. Lots of finds along the trail along with some nice views too. So far probably my favourite section. Lots of riding upwards and collecting questions for the multi but not too bad. Eventually reached the Northern Border Campsite and turned around. All finds today were nice quick and easy. TFTC!

Found this one without too much difficulty, but it appears to have been muggled. Container and lid were not attached, and couldn't find the log.
I've attached a photo to show I made the find. I didn't have any paper on me to start a new log, but put a zip lock bag inside the container. Hopefully the next finder will have some paper with them.

Bit windy up here, TTC33 are regulars out on this loop of the trail, today we decided to pick up a few more caches along the track. TFTC
What a day, out with the family twice for.a walk, well it was fathers day weekend after all . Very much enjoyed the walk with the family, first without Hoppy at the northern border section then with Hoppy in belconnen. A lovely day and managed between showers.
Quick find, nice cache, all in good order.
Thank you Champs2Monkeys for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Found this nice Cache together with Dino and Flintstones. Thank you for putting it out and maintaining it Champs2Monkeys.
64th of 65 finds today on the trail. Hiked from Hall to Mulligan's with only 3 DNF's with Injuryman.
An easy find in the obvious place. Being dark by now I shone the torch in before making the retrieval as I didn't want to find anything with scales, fur or the like. Thanks for the adventure DSD. Its been a blast.

Found with Just_Jess! on our 2021 journey around the centenary trail. Left a pencil TFTC!

A great day on the bike collecting traditional caches along the trail. I haven't been up here since it opened - it's still very pretty. Sadly parts of Champs2Monkeys CCT cache series are really falling into disarray (as noted by many previous finders) however others have been a bit better looked after and are in good condition. This cache was a straightforward find at GZ.
After several did not finds it was good to find this one and get it logged. TFTC
Found with GeoSnag1 1 on a walk outside in the sunshine.
Thanks for putting this here and making life a little more fun.

Right near the Munzee Griffin I was hunting down. Another for my score. Wonder if I can finally knock off my 1K before the end of the year. TFTC
A nice tree on a windswept ridge, great walk that I finally did the geocaches for

Day Twelve in Queanbeyan.
BettyBoo3747 and I loaded up the deadly treadlies and headed off for the northern section of the Capital City Trail. We started with S2 - Berrrrep, and finished with S3 - Tank Hill, about 70 odd caches with a few DNFs. The round trip took about seven hours.
On the whole a fun trail with lots of jumps and bumps, and nothing too steep.
A lovely mild day, and a great series.
Thanks, Robmc.

#15698. Day 12 of our 2 weeks holiday in the ACT and surrounds. We are staying at Carwoola.
Up and at 'em early again today. Rob wanted to attack the CCT 2 and CCT 3 on our mountain bikes. Well, it might have been fun for him but I found most of the riding unnerving and difficult. I am not fond of narrow rocky tracks and don't like downhill much. An utter sook! Well, old bones do take longer to heal!
We signed the first one at 8.15am and finally got back to the car at Forde at 3.15pm. We did have a morning tea break at the camping ground and a restorative break at Daughters at Hall before riding back to the car.
Glad to have most of these with smilie faces now. Won't be back to search for the few DNF's.
It is time for a very big maintenance run - most of the bison logs were either full or damp or very tatty, and there were a lot of those.
Thanks Champs2Monkeys

Off for a walk today on Easter sunday while everyone else eats some chocolate. A lovely morning walk with Aussieben. Logged as ABC to save space and time. Thanks for the cache!
Decided to do the centenary trail today, only able to convince Caro into joining.(logged as ABC) Trying to raise my d:t average for a challenge back home. Thanks for the cache
4055 of 7 at 9:52:00 AM on Tealby's Mega Tour (TMT) renamed Tealby's Nice Tour (TNT) because it was dynamite... or so it goes. The TNT team comprised 8 caching identities and 10 actual geocachers; including locals 2 BluFish, Sebass14 and Aykayem, plus visitors Kingfisher_au, BillHill531, Happy Feet 1 and Team GBS (all the way from Zimbabwe!). My tour was meant to be 20km in total, but we ended up walking just over 22km (although some recorded up to 24km on their apps). But we did finish by the promised time - all feeling decidedly weary but satisfied with the total haul. A fantastic day to be out for a walk on this section of the Centenary Trail - I had previously found a few of the caches, but still ended up with my biggest day's tally (and bigger than my total find count for 2013 and 2016!!). I had visions of finding a few extra to take it up to 100 finds, but it got too dark & I was too tired on my way home to bother. Maybe another day. Thanks for all the effort that has gone in to creating the caches - sonly a couple of DNFs along the way. TFTC!
Ok ... Finally catching up on my logging for all of my finds/etc during the Clearwaters Mega (getting around to doing things is not one of my strong points - lol) so sorry about the late log (I am logging it as the date I found it on, but am actually typing this in June ... so only 2 months late
Today began with a breakfast event (at which I did not buy breakfast - lol) and then I had to dash off from there early, in order to meet in Hall, to be ferried to the start point of the CCT tour walk ... which began with a dnf on a missing Gaurd rail cache, then a nice more than 20km walk for the 10 of us, making rather a lot of cache finds (with only a couple more DNFs), and where the last dozen or more were visits to ones I had already found on a couple of walks to One Tree Hill and back. Then it was a quick duck home to grab my ladder, so people could use it for the tree cache I was camped beside at the Mega, then a late arrival to the Meet the Mayor event back in QBN, followed by another 5km walk (in the dark, and part of which I ran, because I must be crazy) to be in on the joint FTF on the new night cache
These logs for today are going to be generic, with a mostly short comment (that I typed as a draft in the app as I found them) at the end ...
As far as I know, all of the CCT caches were logged with our group name "TNT" ... someone had suggested TMT (Tealbys Mega Team) but then I started singing a certain AC/DC song, so - once someone actually recognised what song I was attempting to sing (lucky there were no glass windows nearby - lol), a few N words were discussed, and it was decided that we had to be "Tealbys Nice Team" instead
TFTC - Nice view

In Queanbeyan to attend the Mega. So great to get here early to spend time catching up with some many familiar faces. Always taking the time to grab a cache, when the opportunity allowed it.
Out on Centenary Trail doing Tealby's Nice Tour so signed all logs as TNT. Had some fun and laughs along the way, while finding a number or good finds and enjoying the trail with it's wildlife, views and company.
Thanks Champs2Monkeys for all the effort of placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play

Found with a nice group doing the Centenary circuit with Tealby and signing as TNT while down for the Mega event at Clearwater. The walk was magnificent following the state border for most of the walk, finding over eighty caches on the way. Tanks For The Cache

Thanks for the cache out and about in in a group from the mega logged as TNT
We had noticed the very attractive looking Centenary Trail on running a Pocket Query of the area while still back home in Africa, and so when the opportunity arose to hike the trail as part of the Clearwaters Mega experience we jumped at the chance and booked our places straight away. Today we were a group of 10 cachers led by Tealby, and so all logs were signed as TNT (Tealby's Nice Tour!). We had a major glip with our GPS about a quarter of the way around when suddenly, having just changed the batteries, we found ourselves with not a single cache on our GPS. No idea what happened there but many thanks to Kingfisher_au for having helped us get back on track by pinging the caches not yet found across to our GPS. We throughly enjoyed the day - it was a great hike (our GPS clocked up 22 kilometres) in good company with some super views and in excellent weather. Many thanks to the CO for having laid for the trail so that we could all enjoy it today, and to Tealby for having made it possible. This one was a nice quick find once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Walking a section of the Canberra Centenary Trail from Forde to Hall today with the Tealby led OZ Mega Tour group - better known as TNT Tealby's Nice Tour. Logs signed with TNT for our group. Enjoyed the walk, the weather and the geocaching with a bunch of enthusiastic cachers from all parts of the world. Thanks Tealby and fellow cachers.
A lovely warm late afternoon after to much Christmas dinner was a great opportunity to clear a few up around here.
So I still need 130 or so this year to complete a challenge (avg 6 a day!) so there are not many spots left where I can grab up towards 100 in a day...
The weatherman was saying that it would start getting super hot in a few days, and I didnt fancy a 20km walk in 35 degrees. Today was max 21 and while it said it 'might' rain, in the end I didnt get a drop.
All in all it was a very successful day, the CCT trail, some real oldies, some others with interesting hides. All were found with relative ease, there is always one, right? Saw some spectacular views from the Fire Finder II cache, I saw this same mountain about 5 hours later near the end of the trail and it was hard to believe I had walked all that way... then I took another step and my legs/ankles told me that they believed it.
So, at the end of the day I have apparently done 31,00 steps, I have sore ribs, maybe a broken pinky finger from where I fell over right near the end, and I can barely move, but a lovely bath sorted me out.
Sorry for the generic log, I have almost 100 to log

A big day of geocaching with Joolay and Geoglors continued with this cache. By the end, I had walked approximately 34,500 steps and found 87 caches. Great fun to explore the CCT - I don't often make it to this side of the ACT.
Found with JM383 and Geoglors on a beautiful day out getting this trail. Been on my list for ages and today is the day. TFTC
With only 5 to go along this section of the CCT I had hoped for a quick walk this morning rather than a long ride which it has been the last few times out this way. Found of 4 of those 5 without issue, only the one unfound I believe no longer there. A great section of the CCT, I will be back...just for the ride or walk. TNLNSL TFTC
Dropped my pen at previous cache, which I found on the way back to the geomobile. Could not sign log, took photo as evidence of find (attached)

This morning Gekin, a muggle friend and I strolled along the northern border at Mulligans Flat, enjoying the views on a warmer winter day. We collected 14 geocaches along the way. This cache was a straightforward find, being more or less on the coordinates. Thank you Champs2Monkeys for installing and maintaining this cache.
What a cool tree and a nice hide. I've never been up around these parts so I'm really appreciating the views here. TFTC
OCW The Bebes and JordsAU chasing down part of the CCT-S3/S4 and any others in this area. A long day was ahead of us in the hunt as we headed off in the cold and wet for a day of caching. Some great hides and views along the way. Plus plenty of roos and cockatoos. Thanks to COs for placing these hides. What a great area to place a trail. TFTC
Down from Sydney for a big caching weekend with Brewmaker and JordsAU.
Grey skies and biting winds were no deterrent for us as we set off on our adventure and targeted the CCT series.
Beautiful scenery, a challenging ride, sooooo many kangaroos, great caches and a wonderful introduction to the local area.

Found with Brewmaker and The Bebes.
I have been working towards a self imposed target, with the goal of the upcoming Giga Event in Cincinnati OH to be my 4,000th milestone. Needing in excess of 200 caches before I fly out to the United States of America in just over a week’s time, I hatched a plan to spend a weekend in our Nation’s Capital to help me reach the required number. I floated the idea out to a few geo-buddies and there was immediate interest, so we made the necessary arrangements and were eager to get going.
It was an early morning start on the Friday. I picked up The Bebes on the way through and we swung by the newly published ‘Whites Creek Wetlands’ Earth Cache (GC7MW51) in Annandale for a quick First To Find to start the trip on a positive note. Continuing on to Brewmaker’s, we hopped in the Brew-mobile, with the bikes on the back, and hit the road towards Canberra. The main target for the first day was to complete the section of the Canberra Centenary Trail (CCT) from Hall to Bonner. It was cold, windy and a little wet, but the mountain bikes ate up the trail and the riders conquered the mountain. In the evening, AlphaDeltaIndigo bussed in from Sydney and we relaxed in the warmth of a pub to watch a thrilling Swans victory on the big screen.
The Saturday was almost as full on but the riding was a little easier than the first day. We cycled the length of the Majura Cycleway series and back again, in similar weather conditions, picking up as many caches as we could along the way. After a surprisingly good dinner at a veggo restaurant in Dickson, we continued driving around town to finish up a long day with some more finds.
We woke on our final day of the trip to sunshine and slightly warmer weather. The main objective for the Sunday was to complete as many caches of the University of Geocaching Canberra (UGC) series as we could, as well as others in that area. We struggled on a few (and had to log a Did Not Find on some) but otherwise did well in making a dent in the series. On the way back to Sydney in the evening, we made pit stops in Penrose and Pheasants Nest.
A fun and successful weekend caching with great company. Thanks For The Caches to the respective Cache Owners.
