After spending a couple of weeks in Canberra attending the Mega Event it was time to head back to Brisbane. We have a few weeks to travel so we are meandering up through country NSW. Today we're exploring the sights around Hill End and we found this cache along the way. TFTC
#13086 7:05Day 2 of our adventures around Hill End. The birds already started early in the morning and waking me at the crack of dawn. So while the others were still sound asleep I drove around Hill End to pick up a few of the caches I had not found yet.A drive up the road took me to the Christian cemetery. Strange that the cemetery is hidden in the bush, reachable through a dirt road.Cache was found in good order. Thanks for showing me this interesting place, Joshwa27!
Did a couple of jigsaws and re-solved a couple of history mysteries to fill my time before taking a trip to Hill End via Wellington. I decided to use geocaching to show me things in the area I had previously missed. It worked.
Highlights were a number of lookouts, the Cornish Roasting Pits, and an incredibly creepy looking graveyard.
Thanks to everyone who hid these caches.

What an amazing spot of history. Left a trackable for the next adventurer to come this way. TFTC
Out on a visit to Hill End today to cache and explore around Golden Valley
I drove out here to the cemetery but sadly there's no log or stump searched all over couldn't find the cache so took it upon myself and replaced the hide with a beroca type tube under rock on the outside of the corner post
Cheers!

Climbed the shortest part of the barbed wire as I was on the wrong side of the fence. A nice, little out of the way spot. TFTC

Our first cemetery for the day, but by far not the last.
Drove in here after having tried in vain to find the cache at Valentine mine.

The road is badly washed away and this was a walk in for a quick find

Cemetery hides are the best! Left some quartz on the graves which seemed to be the thing to do. Gorgeous spot. TFTC!
Found with epzccc131 during a weekend away from the daily grind. Epzccc131 is obsessed with cemetery caches and just couldn't resist! TFTC!
O319 and I have headed off for 3 days of caching. Mainly targeting TRLT and "history of" caches.
After having to turn back because of state of dirt road from Bald Hill side (our Ford focus isn't a land cruiser) we took the sealed road and found cache. We don't have a pen so took a photo of log in lieu of signing (will remove log if cache owner insists). TFTC.
Another fabulous cemetery to head for here
This one was a bit of a bounce along the track to get to,
and at the end a cemetery oozing ambience was found
None of your immaculately mown lawns here !! [:o]
This place is scruffy
But the stones are olde !!
Out the back,
cache found !!
Fave dance for this one !!

Lovely spot on our way home. You must visit the local coffee shop HILL END ESTATE. Great find left a hand decorated stone for a lucky person to have TFTC

Found as part of a great weekend exploring Hillend. Persuaded a friend with a 4wd to take me up to here. What a great spot, must have been very impressive in its day. I left my friends panning for gold nearby whie I went off to find this one. TFTC
I didn't organise my finds very well this weekend and this one left me at 1999 finds. then I didn't read the cache page properly and stopped at the wrong cemetery, then drove straight past the relevant road to turn off into. its been a long weekend....I did find the cache eventually then wandered down to the creek bed trying to decide if I was going to take a bucket of wash home to play with. decided it was all to late to bother fossicking and i'd need to dedicate a future weekend to coming back with that goal in mind. I find sapphires easier to spot anyway. tftc

Having bid our farewells to folk at the Oz Geo Muster, we set our compass for Mudgee, where we set up camp, in order to explore the area to the south west of town including Hill End.
We passed some folk panning for gold as we approached this cache.
Thanks 'Joshwa27' for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

This cemetery certainly took some getting to and the cache was found after a persistent search TFTC Joshwa.
Second, and most remote of three cemeteries today on a trip to Hill End. TFTC
Interesting old cemetery, quick find although container blends well with its environment. TFTC
Previously logged under team account BoogieRogue. Re-logging with my individual account. Quick find after the Orienteering championships right next door to GZ. TFTC
An out of the way cemetery that I was not aware of until now.
Passed some prospectors in the creek on the way in who had a successful day finding another type of treasure.

### Trip to the bush ###
Day 1
We started our trip in Rouse Hill towards the bush region of New South Wales.
Our first stop was in Springwood where we took a little bush walk and found this letterbox in the middle of the bush. We then visited the geological sandstone attraction and informed ourselves about the geological features of this region.
We then continued our trip towards Katoomba where we enjoyed the breathtaking view over the Blue Mountains at Echo Points. We took a little walk and reached the 3 sisters form the originally 7 sisters. Now it was starting to get dark and we continued on to the town to look for a couple of more caches before finishing off the day.
Day 2
At early morning, we relaxed once more for a little while longer at Eco Point before we continued our trip towards Blackheath and Mount Victoria.
We had a little break at Lake Lyell where we visited the dam and had some snacks.
We then continued towards Ryell and high up to Mount Lambie where we were lucky to spot many animals again.
We left the main road just before Bathurst towards the quiet countryside past Peel, Wattle Flat and the historical Sofala. We had a coffee break at Sofala where we drove around the old historic town.
We then continued our drive on Hill End Road and we socked in the beautiful nature. We were lucky to see many animals on the way.
We were welcomed by many roos at Hill End.
We left Hill End and drove towards Hargreaves towards our night stop at Windeyer. We slept at Bushland Tourist Park once again in the beautiful train accommodation. We had dinner at the local pub where we had nice pasta.
Day 3
We had to first free the car from all the ice before we could start our trip towards Mudgee. It gets cold out there at night, around -1 degrees.
We drove towards the west to Wellington and Stuart Town, Mumbil, Dam Arthur and finished the day in Dubbo.
We were astonished by NSW untouched nature and beautiful wildlife.
Day 4
We started the day with a little trip outside of Dubbo’s bushalnds.
We then strolled around the city of Dubbo and visited the beautiful Botanic Graden of Dubbo. The Gardner’s put so much work into maintain this beautiful spot. Well done.
We started the trip home towards Sydney past Wellington, Mudgee and Portland.
We drove past the Mt Piper Power station and informed us about the tours.
We continued towards Sydney.
We hereby want to thank all owners for all the work you have done in maintaining the caches. You have showed us many beautiful and also many hidden spots which we wouldn’t have found without the caches.
Thank you

Should read cache notes as it might make life easier. The old adage of hard way in, find the easy way out worked here, but in my 4wd ute. Finally found the right way in, the river bed isn't it.
I must admit I loved JB's sound effects when we hit bumps. Makes me want to find more.
A nice hide in the middle of no where.

We found this cache after getting our 4wd right to the gate, which only left a very short walk to GZ. There were no problems finding the cache in a very quiet area. TFTC.
Was in the area today heading to Hill end for its open day and saw this cache hadn't been found. So after leaving Mudgee, which was our over night stop this was our first call. Got to the signs on the main road and then walked up the well formed dirt road. Got to gz and made a quick find, wow a *FTF* tftc
